Hello -- MissieMae here. Starting off a story that is not a one-shot. Based on how you guys respond is if I'll continue or not. Soo please let me know what you think.

She could see her breath materialize into a mist leaving small cloud traces behind her. it was hard on her chest. The cold crisp air squeezing her lungs was making it harder and harder for her.

She held her bag to her chest while she ran as fast as she could. Her black cloak surrounded her body, leaving her invisible in the dark.

"There it is." She whispered to herself. Her paced slowed down and only then did her legs feel heavy and her body started aching. She came to a stop in front of a large tree. She leaned against it taking harsh breaths of the cool air leaving her mouth dry and trembling.

Turning, she looked up to the tree and placed her hands against it. With a deep breathe, she closed her eyes and began to relax. A warm power seeped through from the tree to her hand emitting a light pink aura.

"Goshinboku... I don't know what to do." A single tear rolled down her cheek burning her face when the cool wind blowed against her furiously. It was going to snow soon.

"Goshinboku, I won't see them again, will I? Mama and Souta. Why Goshinboku? Why me?"

The tree flared a furious red, shocking her. She jumped back and looked at the froest from which she came. Over the loud wind, she heard voices, yelling and screaming. Small lights were bouncing in the night. The villagers.

"Witch! ...Find that Whore!" She gasped, they had caught up. She bent down and gathered her things.

"There she is!"

She looked to the tree before leaning in and kissing it. She then sprinted off away form the tree into an open field, where in the distance she saw the well. She sped up, hearing the villagers not so far behind. She stopped as soon as she came up to the well. Taking another deep breathe, she said a quick chant and jumped in.

She landed in freezing water. She closed her eyes in pain as the water nipped at her skin, a feeling like it was pulling her apart. She remained still as she slowly began sinking to the bottom. Before she could touch the bottom of the well, her air came short and the freezing pain became unbearable.

As she was losing sight and everything was turning, she felt a wave come over, shook the water, tossing her to the side of the well.

She lost all consciousness.

"She jumped in!"

"That stupid whore! Just like that witch that fell in love with that demon..."

"She'll drown!"

"That's what we want!"

"She'll freeze to death in the water and die. The whore deserved it..."

A girl of 17 ran up to the crowd of villagers surrounding the well. They were closing up on the well while cursing the witch, wishing her death...

The girl fell to the ground holding her shall closer to her. Guilt boiled through her blood, rushing tears to her eyes.

"I'm ... I'm so sor-sorry... Please forgive m-me. No... I'm sor- Kagome, sorry... I'm so sorry Kagome."

A man with black hair ran to the fallen girl, picking her up from out of the water. He carried her to the hut, dragging her bag with him. This was not good. She was not suppose to fall like that. It'd be some kind of magic if she were to survive.

He kicked the door open rushing near the fire. A woman about the same age came to the man's side with towels and new clothes.

"She wasn't suppose to fall like that, but she wasn't conscious when she fell." The man said letting the woman take control.

"Get more blankets, she's freezing!" She demanded to the man.

He quickly left allowing the woman a chance to change the newcomer. She pulled the ebony hair of the new girl into a towel.

"Oh my god..." she gasped, pulling her hands off of the girl. 'It can't be, she died...'

She studied the girl a little more and began to see slight differences...

"It isn't..." the man said, finally looking at the girl by the fire.

"No... I don't think so, but she might be a problem."

"Maybe we should send her back?"

"I don't think we can, she's here for a reason." The woman bit her lip.

"Inuyasha will be here tomorrow..."

The man crossed his arms.

"I know."
