Girlfriend

A/N: Vampyr Angel here. Although I have been writing fanfics for a while, this is the first fic that I felt was worthy enough to grace the pages of AFF.net. It is also my first attempt at a lemon so please bear with me. I welcome any and all reviews. Genuine critiques are greatly appreciated. Girlfriend


Kagome sighed as she watched her best friend, Inuyasha, cuddle with his girlfriend, Kikyo. Kagome had known Inuyasha since before either of them could talk and she just could not understand why he was going out with Kikyo. Sure Kikyo was a sweet, charming little angel to Inuyasha, but she was a frigid, stuck-up bitch to everyone else!
‘Why can’t he see that I’m so much better for him than she is?’ Kagome thought.
Kagome had loved Inuyasha for as long as she could remember, but she had realized a couple years ago that he would never return her feelings. Kagome glanced at the couple and decided that she’d had enough of their little love fest. She stood up and straightened out her skirt.
“Hey, Inu, I’m gonna go to bed. I’ll see you in the morning.”
“’K, Kags. G’night.”
As Kagome headed toward the stairs to the second level she could hear Kikyo and Inuyasha talking.
“How come your parents don’t kick her out already, Yasha?”
“You know they think of her as the daughter they never had. Besides, I’d worry about her if I didn’t have her close. You know that she’s been my best friend for my entire life.
Kagome hurried up the stairs, not wanting to hear the continuation of their ongoing argument about her. Kikyo didn’t like the fact that Inuyasha and Kagome were so close. Kagome had been living with Inuyasha and his parents since her family died in a car accident when she was 10. When Kikyo found out about that she had thrown a fit and ever since had been trying to force Inuyasha into getting his parents to kick Kagome out.
Kagome breathed a sigh of relief as she stepped into her room. Inuyasha’s parents had let her decorate it anyway she wanted. It had gone through a couple changes over the years has her tastes developed and changed, but for the past couple years it had been decorated in black and neon pink. She used to think of the colors as too trendy but the combination had grown on her. Kagome had also plastered the walls with pictures of her friends and adoptive family along with a few posters of her favorite bands, which included Evanescence, Within Temptation, Hinder, Nickelback, and Avril Lavigne.
Kagome thought that Avril had started to become a little too popish but she liked her new song “Girlfriend”. She suddenly wanted to listen to the song so she headed over to her stereo. Just as she was about to start it she heard the front door slam and Inuyasha’s footsteps headed to his room across the hall. Kagome recognized the sounds as the end of the argument. For a moment she thought about going to talk to him but figured that he’d want a little time alone. She turned back to her stereo and pushed the play button. Kagome began singing as the song started.

Kagome listened to the song a couple more times before she had a sudden urge to go talk to Inuyasha. Before she knew it she was knocking on the door directly across from hers. She heard a muffled voice asking who was at the door.
“Hey, Inu, it’s me. Can I come in?
Kagome had barely finished speaking when the room’s inhabitant opened the door. Kagome stood there in wonder for a moment. She had never fully gotten used to how handsome Inuyasha had become over the years, He was about 6’2” with a trim muscular build. He had long silver hair with triangular dog-ears perched on top of his head. But the one physical feature that Kagome loved the most was his amber eyes. When she looked into them she felt like she was swimming in a sea of brandy.
“Hey, Kags, what’s up?” he asked as he stepped back to let her through the door, “I thought you were going to bed.”
“I was but I started listening to some music and it got me thinking…” She trailed off as she took a seat on his bed. Inuyasha sat down next to her.
“What about?”
Kagome took a deep breath and plunged right in.
“Why are you going out with Kikyo and not with me?”
Inuyasha sat there in shock for a moment.
“What?”
“I mean, she’s such a bitch! She makes you take her out almost every night. She has you buy all this stuff for her and you’ve never gotten anything from her. Not even for your birthday! She’s so two-faced She acts all sweet and innocent around you, but that’s all it is. An act! She’s so stuck-up and bitchy when you’re not around. You know how she told you that she wanted to wait until marriage before having sex? Well, she lied. I heard her talking to her friends one day. She was telling them that she wouldn’t sleep with you because you’re a hanyou and she’s been sleeping with that asshole, Naraku, instead.”
When she was finished Kagome turned to look at Inuyasha. He looked highly unhappy (A/N: Understatement of the Year Award goes…to…ME!).
“Why are you telling me all this, Kagome?”
“Because I can’t stand seeing her do this to you.”
Inuyasha had a feeling that she wasn’t being completely honest with him.
“There’s more to it, isn’t there?”
Kagome sighed. He had her.
“I’m in love with you, Inuyasha.”
Seeing as how this wasn’t what he was expecting Inuyasha sat there in stunned silence for a few moments. Kagome took this as a sign of rejection.
“I’m sorry, I never should have told you. I know you don’t feel the same way about me. I’ll just leave.”
Kagome got up and headed to the door, but before she could open it she felt a pair of strong arms wrap themselves around her waist.
“No, Kagome, stay. I’m sorry that I didn’t say anything. I was just shocked.”
Inuyasha turned her so he could look her in the eyes.
“I love you too, Kagome.”
Now it was Kagome’s turn to stand there speechless.
‘He didn’t just say that… did he?’
Inuyasha chuckled at the look of disbelief on Kagome’s face.
“Here, let me prove it.”
Before Kagome could ask what he meant she felt his lips on hers. She stiffened for a moment and then her knees immediately turned to jelly. Kagome leaned into Inuyasha unable to stand on her own. Inuyasha swept her up and carried her over to his bed, all without taking his lips from hers. Inuyasha set Kagome down and settled in next to her.
“Kagome, I’ve loved you for a long time but I thought that I’d never have a chance with you. That’s why I started seeing Kikyo. She reminds me of you, at least physically. You’re so kind and sweet and gentle, while she’s stuck up and cold.”
Inuyasha leaned down to kiss Kagome once again. It started out gentle but quickly became passionate. Kagome felt his tongue against her lips asking for entrance, which she happily granted. Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck and pushed herself against him, wanting to be close to him. Inuyasha lightly kissed his way down to her neck and nipped at her pulse point, which caused Kagome to release a low moan. Inuyasha continued to kiss and nibble on her neck while one of his hands slipped under her shirt to cup her breast. Kagome wriggled against him, her breath starting to become labored. She ran her hands down his back and slipped them under his shirt craving the skin-to-skin contact. Inuyasha pulled away briefly hearing her whimper of protest, but her discontent didn’t last long as he swiftly pulled off her top and bra. Kagome shivered slightly as she felt the cool air meet her skin, but was quickly warmed when Inyasha’s body swiftly covered hers again. Inuyasha kissed his way from her neck to her breasts earning him several small moans on the way. He kissed the top of each mound almost reverently before sucking one of her nipples into his mouth making Kagome buck slightly under him. Inuyasha took his time laving attention upon each of her breasts before moving on. As he placed small kisses and nips around her upper body he slowly slid one of his hands up her thigh and under her skirt. He began to rub her through her panties causing Kagome to gasp and arch her back. He could already feel how wet she was. Inuyasha pulled back his hand and slipped her skirt off leaving her lying on his bed in only her panties. Inuyasha stood and quickly shed his own clothing.
“Inu… I’m scared. This is my first time and I’ve heard that a woman’s first time is supposed to hurt.”
“Don’t worry, Kags, this is my first time too and I’m scared as well. I don’t want to mess up and have you regret this. I’ll be gentle and try to make it as painless as possible. Okay?”
“Alright.”
Kagome opened her arms and welcomed his weight on top of her. She could feel his hardness pressing against her leg. She was still scared but this all felt right. She pulled Inuyasha down for a kiss. Inuyasha slid her panties down her legs and wedged his knee between her thighs. Before going any farther he pulled back and looked Kagome in the eyes.
“Are you sure about this, Kags?”
“I’ve never been more sure about anything.”
Inuyasha kissed her deeply once again as he spread her legs and slowly started to enter her. Inuyasha groaned at the feeling of being inside her. So tight and warm and soft, almost like velvet. He continued pushing into her at a slow pace, not wanting to hurt her. He stopped as he felt a barrier keeping him from entering her fully.
“Forgive me,” he whispered against her lips.
Inuyasha pulled out a bit before pushing himself back in as fast as he could. He heard Kagome’s scream of pain and stopped all movement, instinctively knowing that she needed a few moments to adjust to having him inside her. Once he felt her relax he started to move in short, slow strokes. When she started to respond by meeting each of his thrusts with one of her own, he began to slowly pick up speed pulling out a bit more each time. Before long Inuyasha was panting while Kagome was moaning and writhing beneath him.
“Kags… would you… be my… mate?” Inuyasha managed to get out.
“Yes.” (1)
At Kagome’s reply Inuyasha could no longer contain himself. He grabbed a hold of her hips and thrust into her as fast and as hard as he could. Kagome had been feeling the pleasure building in her body, but when Inuyasha changed their pace the pleasure was almost unbearable. It wasn’t long before she felt it explode inside her. Inuyasha felt her inner muscles spasm around him as she hit her climax. This proved to be too much for the hanyou and he was pushed over the edge right behind her. Inuyasha sunk his fangs into the juncture of Kagome’s neck and shoulder as he rode out the waves of pleasure. Kagome immediately followed his example and bit him in the exact same spot. She was slightly surprised to taste blood, not having expected to break the skin. Inuyasha collapsed on his side next to Kagome holding her close to him. The couple lay there for several minutes coming down from their sexually induced high and catching their breath. When Inuyasha had calmed down he leaned over her to inspect the mark he had left on her. There in silvery writing were the kanji for his name and also for the word “beloved”.
“There, now everyone will know that you’re mine.” He remarked rather smugly.
“Oh, Kami. What are your parents going to say?”
“I doubt that they’ll have a problem. You know that they always wished that you were their daughter.”
“Yes, but I don’t think they wanted it this way.”
“Knowing them, they already guessed a long time ago the way that we feel for each other.”
Kagome sighed.
“Yeah, you’re probably right. I don’t even want to think about what people at school are going to say.”
“Let them say what they want. People that mind don’t matter. People that matter don’t mind. Although I know I’m never gonna hear the end of it from Miroku. He was always saying that I should dump Kikyo and start seeing you,” Inuyasha growled slightly as he thought of the ribbing he was going to get from his best friend.
Kagome yawned.
“Why don’t we get some sleep? We’ll deal with it all in the morning,” Inuyasha said as he tried to stifle a yawn of his own.
“Alright.” Kagome replied and immediately went out like a light.
Inuyasha smiled as he pulled the blankets over them and curled up next to his new mate.
