Bedside Manner

“Windscar!” A burst of energy flew out of the Tetsusaiga and hit the demon in the chest. It screamed out before disintegrating, leaving only a jewel shard in its place.

Kagome ran over and picked up the shard, immediately purifying it. “We got another one! At this rate, the Shikon Jewel will be completed in no time!”

Although he was injured, InuYasha managed to smile. “Good,” was all he could say before he started to cough. He clutched his side as he coughed up blood.

“InuYasha!” Kagome got to him first, with Miroku, Sango, and Shippou right behind her. She grabbed his hand, which seemed to be the only part of his body that wasn’t cut or stabbed. “InuYasha, are you okay?”

“I’m fine,” he snapped. “There’s no reason for you all to get so worried.”

Kagome sighed. He can be so dense sometimes, she thought. “Look, there’s a hut we passed on our way here. Let’s go back to it. I’m sure we could all use some rest.”

“Right,” said Sango.

Before InuYasha could reply, Miroku added, “We’ll spend one night there and we can get going in the morning.”

InuYasha turned away, scowling. “Hmph. Whatever.”

Kagome smiled. “Good. Let’s get going. Oh, and InuYasha.” He looked over at her. “You should probably ride on Kirara.”

“What? I’m fully capable of walking on my own!”

“You’re injured! There’s no need for you to overexert yourself!”

“That hut isn’t too far away. I’ll walk.”

“If you were feeling well enough to walk, you wouldn’t be leaning against the Tetsusaiga like a cane.”

InuYasha sighed. “Fine. I’ll ride on Kirara’s back.” Reluctantly, he climbed up on her. Kagome and Shippou joined him, while Miroku and Sango walked.

The group was unusually silent as they made their way to the hut. When they finally reached it, InuYasha jumped off the first chance he got and walked in. The hut had only one room. In it were a couple of windows, some pots, and something resembling a mat; presumably the ‘bed’. Just outside was a small fire pit which hadn’t been used in some time. It was as if the owner had run out one night, leaving everything behind.

“You should lie down over there, InuYasha,” Kagome said, pointing to the mat. After a rather impatient reply, he lay down and watched as she rummaged through her backpack. She pulled out some containers of water and some herbs. “Oh no,” she said, frowning. “I don’t have enough Ardamin. And I need some more Telb Grass, too. Can you guys get some for me?”

Miroku and Sango looked at each other. “Um… Kagome?” Miroku said. “We don’t really know what those look like…”

Shippou spoke up excitedly. “I know! I know! Do you want me to go with them?”

“That would be a big help, Shippou.”

“Okay,” Sango said. “We’ll get as much as we can find. Come on, Kirara.” They all walked out, leaving InuYasha and Kagome alone.

Kagome immediately began to crush up some of the herbs and sprinkled them into one container. She added a couple of other things InuYasha didn’t recognize before she put on the top and shook it. After a few seconds, she removed the top and offered it to InuYasha. “Drink this. It should help you get your strength back, and it will only take a few minutes to start working.”

“I feel fine. There’s no need to waste it.”

Kagome sighed impatiently. “Just drink it, InuYasha.”

He paused, frowning, before finally grabbing it and drinking it down. “There. Happy?”

“Yes. Very,” Kagome replied sarcastically. She began mixing ingredients into a bowl and stirred it with her finger. She looked up, blushing. “Um… InuYasha?”

“What now?”

“I need you to… remove your clothing…”

InuYasha raised an eyebrow. “Why?”

“This needs to be applied directly on to the wound.”

“Fine. Whatever.” InuYasha stood and, without hesitation, took off the fire-rat Haori, pulled the undershirt over his head, and dropped his pants. He threw them all in a corner and lay back down on the mat.

Kagome couldn’t help but admire his body. With all of the running around and fighting, InuYasha had become rather muscular. She guessed that being a hanyou had something to do with it, as well as with certain other parts of his anatomy.

“Well? What are you waiting for?” InuYasha asked, breaking Kagome’s train of thought. “Um… nothing.” She forced herself to look down at the mixture she was making.

InuYasha noticed this. “If you’re uncomfortable, we can wait for Miroku to come back.” He hated the thought of that lecherous monk putting his hands on him, God only knows where they have been, but he also didn’t want Kagome to feel awkward.

Kagome looked up and smiled, again forcing herself to keep her eyes above InuYasha’s neck. “No. It’s okay. This won’t take long.” She sat the bowl down next to the mat and kneeled down. He’d been stabbed once in the chest; luckily, the blade hadn’t gone all the way through, and he also had several deep cuts and bruises all over his body.

Kagome dipped her fingers into the bowl and rubbed his chest, starting with the worst injury. She bit her lip, trying to stay calm. My nipples are already starting to harden. Maybe it would be better to wait… “Uh… Kagome? I think you can stop now.”

“What?” She was unconsciously rubbing his wound over and over again. “Oh. Right.” Come on Kagome, get a hold of yourself. “Si- …um, raise your back for me.” InuYasha understood what she meant and sat up. There were several cuts on his shoulders and near the top of his back. She thought that if he kept his back to her, her mind wouldn’t wander so much. However, she couldn’t help but notice his chiseled… “Stop this,” she muttered to herself.

InuYasha looked back at her. “Did you say something?”

Kagome looked up, smiling. “Nope. Nothing at all.” She dipped her hands in the bowl and began massaging the liquid onto his shoulders.

InuYasha turned away. He couldn’t hide his erection. Being a half-demon, it was much harder for him to control his instincts. I could take Kagome right here and now, he thought. Kagome stood up and looked over at InuYasha. He stood up as well, still naked. “What… what is it?”

Kagome paused for a moment before finally understanding what he meant. “InuYasha! How could you look at me like that? Si-”

InuYasha cut her off by running over and placing a hand over her mouth. “Okay, okay! I won’t do it again! There’s no need to get irrational!”

He could have used a better choice of words… Kagome thought. Standing so close to InuYasha meant that he was up and pushing against her. She took his hand and slowly moved it away from her mouth, not letting go. “Inu… InuYasha…”

“Kagome…?” Screw it! InuYasha leaned over and kissed her. She paused for a moment before closing her eyes and putting her other hand softly on his cheek.

InuYasha took this as a sign to go ahead. He pushed his tongue against Kagome’s lips, demanding entrance. This time she was the obedient one, opening her mouth and letting his tongue in. He took time, exploring, before his hands went down to her shirt. He grabbed onto her breasts, and even through the shirt it was enough to make her gasp.

InuYasha took both hands and pulled open her shirt, practically ripping off the buttons. Kagome broke the kiss only long enough to take off the garment and toss it aside. Unfortunately, there was still one thing keeping InuYasha from her breasts. Damn thing. I think there’s some sort of latch in the back… He moved his hands to her back and felt around until he found it. After fumbling with it for a few seconds, InuYasha growled and simply ripped Kagome’s bra off with his claws.

Kagome screamed out as InuYasha pushed himself in hard. He looked at her and immediately pulled out. There were tears in her eyes, but she was smiling. “You don’t have to stop.”

InuYasha looked down and noticed that there was blood on the mat. He panicked. “Kagome! Are you okay?”

Kagome giggled. He’s so naïve. She took him and guided him back down, putting him right against her. “Keep going, InuYasha.”

“O…okay.” InuYasha was still worried, but if she didn’t mind, then he would continue. He pushed himself into her, and Kagome smiled, softly sighing. InuYasha returned the smile as he pulled back and pushed himself in again. He started slowly, afraid that if he went too far she might start bleeding again. He checked often, making sure she was still alright.

Kagome finally took InuYasha’s chin and brought his face to hers. She kissed him and he began to speed up. Without breaking the kiss, he boldly brought a hand up to her breast and carefully dragged his claws against it, including even her nipple every so often. She whimpered and he stopped, breaking the kiss. She immediately shook her head and kissed him again. He continued squeezing her breast, moving his claws across it. At the same time he moved in and out of her, picking up speed. I can’t take much more of this, Kagome thought.

I’m about to- InuYasha’s train of thought was interrupted by Kagome dropping her back to the ground and screaming out. “INUYASHA!” She was the first to come.

“KAGOME!” Only a couple of seconds later InuYasha followed suit. He pushed himself in one last time, releasing into her. He locked his arms; it was taking all of his strength not to collapse on top of her. They both stayed like that, breathing heavily for a moment before their lips met.

Miroku, Sango, Shippou, and Kirara all emerged from the woods. Shippou was on Kirara’s back and was carrying as many herbs as he could fit in his hands. “I can’t believe how much we were able to find!”

Miroku and Sango smiled. They both had an armful of herbs. “And we couldn’t have done it without you,” she said.

“Oh, all in a days work,” Shippou said proudly.

“INUYASHA!”

“KAGOME!”

All three looked at each other before dropping everything and running to the hut. Sango threw open the door while Miroku stood beside her.

InuYasha and Kagome looked to the doorway and saw them. All four pairs of eyes widened. “What is it?” Shippou asked, jumping up and down behind Miroku and Sango. “What’s going on? I wanna see!”

Miroku and Sango stepped back. As she closed the door, he grabbed Shippou and tucked him under his arm. They both turned around and walked away from the hut. “What happened? Are Kagome and InuYasha okay?”

“They’re fine,” Sango replied.

“Then why can’t we go in?”

“We’ll explain it to you when you’re older,” Miroku said.

“Huh? Explain what?”
