There you’ll be


Kagome walks out to the God Tree as the wind blows all around her. She stops and feels the gentle breeze along her skin. ‘Inuyasha’ she thought of him every time she saw the God Tree. ‘You used to love feeling the wind too…when you ran.’ Kagome put one hand on the God Tree as a tear went down her cheek.

“How could you do this to me?” Kagome screamed breaking down into tears. She sank to her knees and sobbed. Kagome’s mom watches in the distance as her poor daughter grieves not knowing what to do.

When I think back on these times
and the dreams we left behind
I'll be glad
'coz I was blessed
to get to have you in my life
when I look back on these days
I'll look and see your face
you were right there for me

*Flashback*

“What ever happens Kagome…I’ll always protect you.” Inuyasha says as he watches Naraku come closer. Sango and Miroku were already passed out away from them. It was mostly because of blood loss. It’s been hours since the battle began and now it was down to Naraku, Inuyasha, and Kagome.

“Do you really think you can defeat me?” Naraku shouted. “A mere half demon!” He laughed.

He dashed forward to strike Inuyasha. Inuyasha pushed Kagome out of the way as he blocked the attack with his sword. “I will defeat you Naraku!” Inuyasha shouted as he blocked another attack from Naraku.

With Naraku focusing on Inuyasha the whole time Kagome drew an arrow and aimed it at Naraku. “Hit him” she whispered as she let it fly.

It hit Naraku in his upper chest knocking the jewel loose from his grasp and falling a distance away from them. “The Jewel” Naraku said as he turned to face Kagome. “You” His eyes flashed red and he shot a tentacle at her. Kagome dodged the attack and took off running.

Inuyasha got up and noticed Naraku chasing Kagome. “Kagome” Inuyasha said as he took off running to her.

Kagome watched as Naraku raised his tentacle again to strike. As she was watching she wasn’t paying attention to her footing and fell. She sucked in her breath and closed her eyes waiting for the blow, but it never came. She felt something wet hit her face and opened her eyes.

Inuyasha was right infront of her. He had a tentacle right through his heart and blood was everywhere. Naraku dropped him to the ground and chuckled. He walked away from the bloody body.

“No!” Kagome screamed as she went to his side. “ Inuyasha, why?” Kagome lifted his body up as best as she could and cradled him to her chest.

all the strength you gave to me

Inuyasha coughed up blood and smiled “Stupid wench, I told you I’d always protect you.” He wheezed out having hard time breathing. Kagome knew it wouldn’t be long. “Inuyasha, you have to know…thatI…I love you.”Kagome’s voice cracked as tears streamed down her face.

Inuyasha slowly took a hand and caressed her cheek. “I know…and I love you.” Inuyasha coughed out. Kagome leaned down and gently kissed his lips. His hand fell to the ground and she knew he was gone.

Kagome gently set him down and turned to face Naraku. He was walking towards the jewel on the ground.

She grabbed her bow and arrows at her side and aimed one at Naraku. She felt her power grow, but it wasn’t out of hate and wanting revenge. It was strength, strength of her fallen comrades and she pulled back her arrow and let it hit Naraku. She never seen so much power go into one arrow before. When it hit him a bright flash surrouned the area and it was so bright she had to cover her eyes.

Once she opened them she didn’t see no trace of Naraku, but there on the ground was the jewel of four souls shining brightly and looking exactly the same as it did the first time she saw it a year and a half ago. She picked it up and cradled it to her chest.

Finally it was over, but at a price. Her friends were no more. They were all killed in battle and mostly it was because they were trying to protect her.

Kagome walked slowly to Inuyasha and fell to her knees and cried. “How could you do this to me?” Kagome said softly. “How can I go on knowing that I’m the reason that you’re dead?” Kagome whispered as tears rolled down her cheek.

Coz I always saw in you my light, my strength
and I wanna thank you now for all the ways
you were right there for me

*End of Flashback*

Kaede took the jewel from her the day they buried her friends. She was afraid that if Kagome wished her friends back that it would taint the jewel. Kagome understood why she did what she did and returned to her time later on.

“I miss him so much.” Kagome said as she got up and walked to her mother. She collapsed in her mothers arms and sobbed. “Its okay baby” Kagome’s mother rubber her daughters back as she sobbed, “time will heal the pain.”

But time didn’t heal the pain…it only dulled it till Kagome passed away years later from depression. The loss of Inuyasha and her friends finally got to her and her mother knew deep down in her heart that was going to happen. Now she could finally be with the man she loved and soar above the sky with him.

I hope you guys liked it. I was listening to the song the other day and thought that it would be good to use in a story so here it is. I hope you guys like it and tell me what you think.
