Trying to Banish Every Memory

Inuyasha sat and stared at the photo album that had been left carelessly left on the floor. Kagome was passed out on the bed because she was sick with the flu. Inuyasha leered at the picture of Kagome, her friends, and of course that Hobo guy.

‘She looks happy,’ he thought sullenly, ‘I’m being selfish. I can’t keep letting her do this.’

Inuyasha looked over at Kagome as she slept silently. He crept over to her bed and sat before her; his head near her head. After studying her sleeping face, he leaned forward. His lips paused an inch from her lips.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered.

Inuyasha jumped out the window and ran towards the well. He took one final look at the light shining through window of Kagome’s room.

Inuyasha stood there hoping for Kagome to wake up and run to him and ask him to stay. But even he knew that this wasn’t a story, it was real life. Inuyasha jumped into the well without a final goodbye.
