Summary: Sometimes what you want might make you cry, and what you need might pass you by, if you just let it.


"Sesshomaru-sama, why even waste your energy trying to help such a lowly creature?" Jaken squawked as he walked beside his Lord.

Sesshomaru glared down at him…. Jaken gulped and slowed down so he was no walking behind Sesshomaru.

"Rin needs a female mentor, she has no modesty, and isn't punctual at all… she needs to be taught these things by a woman who knows these things well. And Lady Sorincha is the best geisha around… Rin will be educated on how to be a woman, then I will marry her off and be rid of her forever." Sesshomaru spoke calmly.

"Oh I see, so you are tired of nasty little ningen!" Jaken grinned.

Sesshomaru rolled his eyes. "I am tired of you as well Jaken." Sesshomaru snarled.

"Ah!" Jaken jumped ten feet back to avoid being hit.

"Boy he's in a bad mood today." Jaken thought.


Rin smiled as she sat in front of Uri, one of the maids. Uri stared her down like she was going to destroy Rin. Uri was a fox demon, very lovely… petite, tanned, long sandy brown hair, and forest green eyes. She wore a navy blue kimono like the rest of the maids.

"Rin, you must take a bath before Lord Sesshomaru returns. And you must be dressed in fine silk kimono… you have to be presentable!" Uri said inching toward Rin who was just smiling.

"Well…. Okay." Rin said.

"Really?" Uri smiled suddenly and stopped her assault.


"NO!" Rin yelled and ran out the room full speed. Uri chased after Rin. Of course Uri being a fox youkai, she could easily catch her, but Rin's small size made it hard to get a good grip on her, she was quite fast for a human too…so that made for a challenge. Uri wished Sesshomaru were there he always caught her easily.

Rin smiled as she ran towards the garden… Uri knew what Rin planned to do, and she wasn't going to let her. It had rained earlier, and when ever it did Rin would run outside and jump into a puddle then run back inside and get everything dirty, then when Sesshomaru came back, everything would be blamed on Uri and Fujiko although Sesshomaru knew Rin was the culprit because she always was muddy and smelled of outdoors.

"Rin!" Uri yelled… she reached out and caught the back of Rin's obi! Rin was jerked back, then bear hugged to Uri's ample breasts, so there was no getting away from Uri now. But Rin struggled and tried anyways, but no use she couldn't get away!

"Put me down Uri, I do not want to take a dumb bath, I want to play, I want to explore. The day is going to waste sitting in doors all day!" Rin cried.

"Rin, you are no boy, you will come and be cleaned thoroughly… and you will be dressed in a fine kimono… and you will be presentable when Sesshomaru-sama and his company get here!" Uri yelled at the little girl wedged in her arms.

Rin rolled her eyes… "Fine, but I won't like it!" Rin cried.


Sesshomaru sat directly across from Sorincha who smiled at him demurely. Uri was an inuyoukai as well. She was very beautiful. She had her long black hair swept high on her head in up sweep. Pinned there flowers combs and other hair ornaments. She was pale like the moon, with rose lips and cranberry colored blush, and blood red stained eye shadow. She had diamond chandelier earrings to match her ice blue eye. She had on a black silk kimono with black pearls around the hems. And her kimono was form fitting so you could see her delicate shoulders, ample breasts, small waste and round hips. The front part of her kimono was open revealing quite a large amount of cleavage.

"Why I would be honored to teach your ward how to be a proper young lady. But first tell me, and be honest… is she pretty?" She asked.

"Yes, but she doesn't act like it." Sesshomaru said sipping some tea, letting his eyes unconsciously wonder to her large breasts.

"Oh, one of those types… well no worries when I am finished she will the epitome of femininity, grace and beauty." Sorincha bowed.

Sesshomaru nodded. "Thank you… I will move you in tonight." He said.

She smiled… "I would like that very much. Oh, but Lord Sesshomaru, since you have been so kind as to take me into your lovely home… I must repay you." She pushed the left side of her kimono top down revealing her breasts just above her nipple.

Sesshomaru stared at the revealed flesh… "Very well… I accept your offer." He said standing up and walking around the table. Once he was over her, he picked her up bridal style and carried her into another room far down the hall. Jaken sat in his place not even bothering to turn around… he knew what was going on… all he could do was grin.


Rin sat as still as she could as Fujiko scrubbed her head and neck roughly to clean her well. Rin clenched her teeth.

"Are you going to be finished any time soon?" Rin asked between ow's and uh's.

"If you hadn't been running around like a little rodent it wouldn't take so long to cleanse you." Uri said scolded from the vanity she sat at preparing Rin's hair ornaments and kimono.

"Rin, you are eleven and act five! You must break out of that!" Fujiko said draining the water from the tub, then taking the bucket of hot water and pouring it over Rin. After that she dried Rin off til she turned red all over. Rin would have sworn this was child abuse, except whenever any of the women bathed they did it the same way!

Fujiko wrapped Rin in a clean white rob, and then sat her in front of Uri.

Uri began combing our Rin's long raven hair. "Rin your hair is so lovely." Uri commented earning a smile from Rin. Rin hair stopped below he butt, and not a split end in sight as you could imagine. Once all of Rin's hair was detangled, Uri began to use some wax to shape her hair into an up sweep. After Rin's hair was in place, Uri tied a red ribbon in the back to keep the back up, then put a beautiful jade comb in the front for decoration.

After Rin's hair was finished Rin didn't recognize herself, she looked totally different with her hair out of her face. Uri and Fujiko smiled. "Your going to be gorgeous when you become a woman Rin, I have never seen such a genuine beauty… and one so young." Fujiko said in aw with Rin's looks. Uri quickly unwrapped Rin from the rob, and helped her get into her first silk kimono. It was royal blue with green bamboo sticks all around the hem and bright orange flowers across the sleeves and chest area. Rin smiled brightly.

Uri and Fujiko just smiled at her. "You clean up pretty nice brat." Uri said smiling at Rin.

"Thank you." Rin bowed.

Another servant came to the door… "Lord Sesshomaru and Lady Sorincha have returned, please have Rin ready to greet then at the front door." The male servant Yusuke said from outside the door.

"Yes Yusuke-san." Fujiko said.

"Okay Rin, be on your best behavior, because you have to make a good impression." Fujiko pinched Rin's cheeks. (The one on your face you FREAKSJ)

Rin nodded, and began to walk out the door. "Wait, take this." Uri handed her a box wrapped in red silk with a golden bow around it. "Give this to Lady Sorincha, they are her favorite candies. It will be a good gesture." Fujiko said handing the box to Rin.

Rin held the box carefully then nodded, and left finally.


Rin was at the door quickly… then it opened, and Rin saw the most beautiful women in the world. Sorincha, she wore a baby blue version of the black kimono she wore earlier, except the front was lower cut revealing her big chest. Then Sesshomaru stepped in after her.

Sorincha smiled when she saw Rin. Rin looked like royalty, just as she expected for Sesshomaru's ward to look.

"Sesshomaru-sama, you didn't say she was so beautiful why in a few years she will be prettier then me, if we don't watch out! And she is so peculiar but in a lovely way, what is she mixed with… what sort of demon is she, she has such a lovely scent… sakura petals… and honey suckle." Sorincha said looking back at him.

"She is not mixed and she is not youkai, she is human." He said.

"Human! She's much too attractive and clean to be human, but then again she is your human so that explains." Sorincha said looking at him through her eyelashes.

Sesshomaru's eyes went to Rin. She was very beautiful and at such a young age. He smirked; proud that someone would think she was so beautiful that she was a youkai.

Rin smiled, then bowed to Lord Sesshomaru and then to Sorincha.

"Lady Sorincha, I am Rin… I am very honored to meet you." Rin held out the box for Sorincha who accepted it happily.

"Oh, for me? I love surprises." She opened the box and squealed. "Oh, I love chocolate mint candy… thank you little Rin." She said smiling.

Rin bowed again. "Well, I think little Rin and I will get along very well. Who wouldn't get along with such a pretty young thing." Sorincha smiled.

Sesshomaru nodded. "I will let you two get more familiar. Please excuse me." He said walking to his study soon as Sorincha knew he was gone her smiled faded to a glare.

"Well… well… well. Your just adorable aren't you… and very charming. I seen the way he smiles at you, Sesshomaru must really adore you. Do you know how much he is paying me, just to basically baby sit you, and tell you how to be proper… why most wouldn't dare pay such an amount for anyone… and from the looks of how you dress and act I'd say your used to him spending large amounts on you… well that's where I draw the line! I am future lady of these lands… and the only one he will mark and bed is I! So soon as you begin your monthly cycles we are rivals, so learn all you can, because only the most beautiful and resourceful will win!" Sorincha walked off, but took one last look at Rin grimaced.

Rin was stunned… she never knew she was in competition. She wasn't informed, or maybe she missed the memo! Rin shrugged and began to walk to the study to see Sesshomaru making sure not to get in the way of servants carrying in her things.

Once she got there, she sat by his feet. He looked down briefly at her and smirked, then went back to his reading.

"Sesshomaru-sama?" She began.

"Yes, Rin?" He asked in his calm baritone.

"Um, is Sorincha having a bad day or something?"

"No, why do you ask that?" He peered down at his little ward.

"Because… she told me, when I began my…" Sorincha walked in just in the moment Rin was going to tell Sesshomaru… Sesshomaru's eyes went to Sorincha, who now wore a light pink kimono, with sakura petals all over the chests area and sleeves; and the front was still open revealing her ample cleavage. His eyes never failed to look there first then to her beautiful face.

Rin looked down quickly feeling nervous that Sorincha knew she was going to tell Sesshomaru about what happened earlier.

"Oh Sesshomaru-sama." Rin was sure that she would have ran out of breath because when Sorincha said the Sama… it sounded like this Sesshomaru-samaaaaaaaaaaaaaa."

Rin was still looking down. "Why little Rin, there you are… be a dear and go to the kitchen to make sure the cooks are using just a bit pepper in my soup, I don't like spicy soup." Rin nodded, and got up and left.

"Sesshomaru-sama, are you finished with your scrolls… lets us do something fun before dinner." Sorincha said rubbing her breasts up against his arm. He looked at her again.

Then he got up and stood in front of her… eyeing her like she was a piece of meat.

She hugged him, smashing her soft body to his muscular frame. Then she leaned in, and kissed him slowly, savoring his taste, and then she began tongue kissing him. She heard him groan a little, then when she pulled back his eyes had turned red…

"Uh, I like it rough." She said before he threw her on the floor and took her.


"Make sure not to put too much pepper in her soup, she doesn't like spicy soup." Rin said looking at Jaken who was preparing the meals as of the moment.

"Got it." Jaken said being careful with the pepper grinder.

"Go and inform Lord Sesshomaru and Sorincha that dinner is ready.

Rin nodded, and went back to the study, when got into the hallway she heard very strange noises. Like "Uh, ah… oh!" It sounded like someone was fighting… or excising and were really tired… but the other sound, the deeper sound… there wasn't any way to describe it… Then she heard 'Oh Lord Ses-Se-Shomaru!' In a very high pitched moan, and the deeper one went. 'What's my name.' Then she heard the… 'Lord Ses-Se-Shomaru'! Again. She began to walk closer to the sounds. And she hears the deep voice get louder.

The doors to the study were cracked, she peered through… and saw something she wouldn't forget her entire life. Sesshomaru's eyes were crimson red and looked scary, but handsome as well, his body was beautiful and buff. And he was holding Sorincha's legs far behind her head… and Sorincha's large chest was out bouncing and spreading, and Sesshomaru kept pushing this long thick thing in and out of her thingy… and Rin was so confused. She never saw anything like it! Then as Sorincha began screaming his name again, he pushed the big thing far into her, and she screamed loudly! Rin thought Sesshomaru had hurt her by the way she screamed so she gasped… and in an instant his crimson eyes were on her… Rin backed up from the door… and turned tail to run… she ran all right. She ran out of that north wing of the house, past the kitchen, past her room, past the garden, onto the front lawn. She was scared she didn't know what was going on.

She looked around and found a bush to hide in… she didn't want to take a chance that anyone find her, and report her to Sesshomaru.

Then her worst fear happened… Sesshomaru came out the door, but fully clothed except his armor and boa/tail (What ever that thing is J)

"Rin, I can smell you and your fear… I know you are here… come out." He said calmly, his golden eyes full of concern.

"Rin…" He stood in place although he knew what bush she was in, and could easily have pulled her out with his pinky finger.

"Rin is not here go away." Rin said trying to get him to leave.

"Rin… come here, I will not hurt you… this Sesshomaru wouldn't harm a hair on Rin's head." He said.

She sighed, and then came out the bush a little disheveled.

He knelt down and motioned her to come to him. She came and he picked her up, and hugged her to him.

"Rin what you saw… I know it was very… foreign to you and it will be that way to you until you are grown up, mature, and married but I promise you won't ever have to see something like that again." He said.

"So Sorincha was right, you two are married… how come I wasn't invited to the wedding?" Rin pouted.

"No… we aren't." He said slowly.

"Then how come you did the "foreign" thing if your not married?" Rin asked making Sesshomaru smile.

"Sometimes, when a man and a woman are attracted to one another they'll do it rather or not they're married." He said patting her head.

Rin nodded pretending that she understood. "So your attracted to Sorincha?" Rin asked.

Sesshomaru simply nodded. "Is it the big chichis or something else." She asked… Sesshomaru held back… he wanted to laugh but he would allow himself instead a small smirk was placed on his lips… "Rin, don't say that anymore… now go inside and get ready for dinner." He said putting her down. She nodded, and ran inside.

Sorincha stood in the shadows with a glare. "He cares about her feelings so much… he actually walked out in the middle of sex… with me!" She glared.

Chapter two: Lessons Begin

"So do you like her?" Uri asked brushing Rin's soft hair.

"No, not really… I don't know… she just isn't as nice as she is pretty." Rin said looking down into her lap.

"Well… I don't doubt that I have never met a nice reformed geisha… or geisha for that matter. They can't be nice because then you'll never get what you want out of life. Sometimes you have to be mean to have things your way… nice girls always finish last because they're so bent on helping everyone, they forget to help themselves." Fujiko said picking Rin's kimono out.

"But your nice, Fujiko." Rin said looking back at her.

"Correction… I'm nice to you and Uri… but I couldn't afford to be nice to others because although I am a servant Sesshomaru's servants have the best treatment by far! Most youkai lords are cruel and spit on servants, violate them, rape them, beat them!" Fujiko said. "But see, I had to compete with other youkai who wanted to serve him, he couldn't except us all… so it was first come first servant." Fujiko began folding the other entire kimonos back up.

Rin smiled. "Well I am glad you were mean, and got where you wanted to be." Rin said walking over to Fujiko who held her arms open, and Rin walked into them, hugging Fujiko tightly.

Uri smiled as she watched them.

"Hello ladies." Sorincha said barging into the room.

"Hello Miss. Sorincha." Uri said eyeing her sternly.

"Why hello… ladies you can excuse your self's, after all I was paid to come and teach Rin how to dress and groom and do such things so I will begin my lessons." She said with a smile most would think brilliant except Rin who seen it for what it really was… a frown flipped upside down!

"Yes mam." Fujiko said.

"Oh, and dears that's Lady Sorincha to you." She said smiling still.

Fujiko and Uri looked at each stunned. "Well then, yes Lady Sorincha." Uri said with a tone I never heard before.

Sorincha rolled her eyes at this, and turned to me and smiled again.

"Well Rin, this month will be spent learning how to play the samisen. Then next month… will be dance lessons… then tea ceremony, then you will learn how to apply make-up like a geisha, then you become one." She the last part bitterly.

I nodded, although at the time I had no idea what it all meant!

She put the kimono on me with ease. The one I word today was navy blue colored with imprints of stars and moons. It was simple, but still beautiful because it was made of Egyptian cotton, one of the finest materials that money could buy. Then she began doing my hair in another up due, this time tying it with a matching navy blue ribbon, and placing a single comb in the side that had a star on it, with several small stars hanging off the big one, it hung to my shoulder.

"Well there… you are very beautiful, one day your beauty will bring men to their pathetic knees where they all belong." She said tying my obi.

"How do I do that?" I asked.

"Do you really want to know?" She asked cocking an eyebrow up.

"Yes." I answered.

"Well because men are fools for appealing things… do you think if a man had a choice of steak and an old boot he'd choose the old boot?" She said eyeing me in funny manner that made me feel stupid.

"No," I said.

"So that's what I mean, since your beautiful, men will want you more then other women." She said.

"Oh, but what do they want me for?" I asked.

"They want your body, your soul, your love… everything you can give, and in return a man will make you very wealthy, stylish, and comfortable." She said tucking a fan into my sleeve.

"Oh…" I said still confused.

"You will learn soon, you are eleven, soon to be twelve, once you get your menstrual you will know exactly what I speak of." She said standing up. Smoothing out her orange kimono. Her kimono was orange with orange slices on the chest area and around the sleeves with avocados on the bottom… very bright and summery. She still had a low cut front revealing her chest

"Now come on, we will go into the yard under Sesshomaru's office, so he can hear." She said.

"But I am no good, I have never played, it will hurt his ears." I pleaded.

"Well then play good! Follow my instructions and he will hear nothing but sweet music!" She smiled at me. I nodded nervously.

I sat on the bench right below his study, while she stood in front of me assembling the samisen I was to play. I watched nervously… I felt lumps and bumps form on my stomach instantly. I didn't want to make a fool of myself.

"Here." She handed the samisen to me.

I took it… "Now place this part on your upped arm, this is to be tucked under your chin, you left arm is to be like this, and you'll play with your right hand." She said looking me over.

"Good, you look very natural, very graceful." She said with an approving smile.

I smiled at her too. "Take this picc and pluck the first string." I did as she said, and it sounded okay… better then I thought!

After a month of this, I would be great at this… and as I predicted… I became so good; Sesshomaru wanted me to play for him!

(End of August…)

"Mi Lord, will you allow Rin-chan to play something for you?" Sorincha asked him with a smile.

Sesshomaru nodded. As instructed I came in, and took a small seat in front of Sesshomaru, Jaken and Sorincha who was smiling nervously, which I couldn't believe she cared so much! I mean why should it matter to her if I embarrassed myself? I just shrugged it off. Then put the samisen into proper position and then I lifted my hand gracefully before I began, which must have impressed Sorincha because she began to clap… Sesshomaru and Jaken stared at her like "What the hell is wrong with that bitch?"

I began, a rather sad, yet beautiful peace about a princess who fell in love with a war God, so they couldn't be together, so she decided that she would kill herself since she wasn't able to be with him. I must have played it well, for Lord Sesshomaru's eyes never left mine. I did my best to look the part, and put a sad look on my face feeling my music. Sorincha smiled proud of me, and Jaken just swayed a little liking my music. I was happy… I was doing something right!

When I was finished I bowed, and was going to excuse myself but Lord Sesshomaru said something.

"Play another song." He said. I nodded, and got back into place. I decided I would play something up temple now. I played a piece about a phoenix that couldn't fly at first, then after he gets the courage he begins flying high into the sky, and gets higher and higher! The climax of the song could last forever, but no, the player decides when the phoenix flies back down to earth to rest.

Maybe I was just nervous or working very hard but I thought I saw Sesshomaru close his eyes with a smile on his beautiful face, or maybe not because I looked down then looked up and he was staring at me again. I decided in a few minutes I would be done, my back was staring to hurt sitting up in this position. So, I did.

Sorincha smiled, and then clapped, Sesshomaru nodded his head, and Jaken began.

"Not too shabby… not too bad at all… ningen!" He walked out the room. That was the nicest thing Jaken had ever said to me. I smiled then excused myself finally. I went straight to my room, and slid down onto my futon… Sesshomaru was pleased with me I could tell.

I took the samisen apart and placed it into the velvet and leather case it came in. Then I undressed myself, and got ready for bed, taking the pins from my hair to let it fall freely. I put on my night rob… then got into bed. I was so happy!

The following few days Sorincha began teaching me how to dance, but also it was September, my birthday was in December the 22nd. I would be turning twelve and Sorincha said once I turned twelve she would consider me a rival because I would be in heat then, meaning that I could take Sesshomaru from her or something, but when she said this I laughed so hard my stomach began to burn. She told me not to laugh… she said although I was young I was very beautiful, and to men as long as you could get your menstrual that was enough… and they'd want to take me… and they'd give me things like new kimono, foreign and ridiculously expensive perfumes and all sorts of mirrors and fans and jewelry that costs more then kingdoms. Things the average woman wanted most. I just shrugged and that made her laugh.

I was beginning to grow a hang with the twirling an dipping… of course she taught me the traditional fan dancing… (NOT STRIPPING!! PERVS! J) I opened and closed the fan with as much speed as I could, because you had to open to fan whenever the drums sounded and that was frequently, my wrists began to get irritated from that, but I wouldn't fail now... seeing how proud Sesshomaru was when I successfully played the samisen was enough to motivate me to keep trying my best and succeed in what ever was presented before me… although it wasn't like me, I made the goal I would be better then Sorincha could ever be, and make sure she never realized her dreams of being Sesshomaru's wife!

I hadn't noticed but while I was performing my fan dance… Sesshomaru had been watching from the hallway. Once she stopped in her pose, closing her fans she looked directly at him. He was staring hard, all the time he stared at her, Sorincha watched them stare at one another… "I must do something about this!" Sorincha thought as she glared at them fixated on one another. "Did you like my dancing Sesshomaru-sama?" I asked boldly. He nodded, and then left after that.

I smiled and walked over to a chair to sit down, I was a little tired after that. I looked over Sorincha who was still glaring at me.

"Did you like my dancing?" I asked. "Did you like my dancing." She mocked me in little mousy voice that sounded nothing like mine.

"Look you don't have to be so cruel, he just complimented me…" I knew what her attitude was all about.

"You may be a fool, but I am not. He was fascinated in you… his heart even began beating faster." She said glaring at me still.

"So… isn't that what the dance is supposed to do, fascinate people… and make them get into it. As hard as I practiced… I am glad that someone besides me is fascinated in my dancing! And I will not be made to feel guilty or like I'm wrong for doing my best!" I shot back to her, which surprised her.

"So it's like that you little bitch! Then fine, since your so good at everything… I am finished with my lessons." She said with a triumphant smile.

"Well that's fine, because I already know enough to take your man." I said.

She gave me the most shocked look she could conjure up. I smiled, knowing I was finally learned how to beat her at her own game!

"Slut! You cannot take Sesshomaru-sama from me! HE doesn't want a little girl, he wants a woman."

"Men don't know what they want, all they know is what they're dick does." I smiled using her very own words to cut her down.

"Hmm." She said. "If you were to be with him, then that would be like being with your father." She said raising an eyebrow.

"On the contrary, see I am human he is youkai. In order for us to be related some one would have to lying about their race. And I am quite confident Sesshomaru-sama is youkai" I said.

She rolled her eyes and left.

I smiled, although I didn't plan on touching Sesshomaru, at least not now!


"Ah!" I screamed as I watched blood ooze from between my thighs. Uri and Fujiko rushed in to help me…

"It's okay… does it hurt?" Fujiko asked. When I shook my head no, she smiled… "Then don't cry." She said.

I stopped instantly. "It's means you are becoming a woman." Uri smiled at me wrapping my waist in a clean white cloth.

"Come, we will go to the hot springs to relax your aching muscles." Fujiko said. I nodded feeling relieved already.

I slid deep into the water, letting it caress me thoroughly. I smiled it was so warm and relaxing.

Fujiko sat on the far corner relaxing into the water as well. Uri was washing her hair.

"Oh, Rin… I hope the herbs I picked up will mask your scent, if Sesshomaru catches a whiff of it, I'm not sure how he would react." Uri said.

Fujiko nodded, they were starting to sound a little bit like Sorincha. I smiled anyways.

"What do you mean… how he'll react?" I asked wanting to know for real.

"He'll want to get rid of you!" Uri said.

I looked down into the boiling water… I sighed. "Why?"

"Because you are able to mate now, so you can go to a human village and find a mate now." Uri said sadly.

"Not necessarily, just use these herbs, and stay away from him… and he won't catch your scent." Fujiko said handing a small bag of herbs to me. I walked back into the doors of home. I was uncomfortable… and to add to my discomfort was the stares I received from the servants, who usually paid me no mind
I wanted to crawl under a rock and hide! Then, just when I thought I couldn't feel worse…Sesshomaru-sama emerged from one of the doors, with Sorincha following closely behind him smiling… when she saw me she frowned, then smiled again, which was peculiar to me.

But what was stranger was Sesshomaru. He stood still… looked me over a few times, then sniffed the air. And looked at me… I didn't know what he smelled; Uri explained to me, that the herbs would make me smell like peppermint… very strongly.

I smiled, and then looked away from him, hurrying about my way. Even as I fled from his view I knew he was staring at me. Sorincha too!

Once in my room, I fell onto the floor sweating heavily. I was so scared hoping he didn't smell me. Then I heard my door slid open… and turned to see Sesshomaru, with a questioning look on his beautiful face.

"Rin…" Was all he said?

I didn't move he just stood there sniffing like he knew I was hiding something from him, but he didn't quite know, kind of like a dog that smells steak that's on a high shelf that he can't get to.

"Is that all? Sesshomaru-sama." I asked trying to get him to leave.

He stopped his sniffing and looked at me with a perplexed look, then left without hesitation.

Five minutes after he came in, Sorincha came in… glaring at me. "You bitch peppermint cannot hide your stench!" She yelled grabbing my throat. I began gasping! "S-S-Sesshomaru-s-a-m-a." I couldn't quite make out the words.

Before I knew it, Sorincha was in the air dangling being chocked herself. I stared in fear. Sesshomaru dropped her to the floor, he didn't say anything but the look on his face said it all… tonight was Sorincha's last night in this mansion… and I didn't know at the time her last night on earth.

I sighed, and then got up running into my bathroom.

Once I heard the door slid again, I came out. Sorincha and Sesshomaru were gone; I got into my bed to pretend that whole thing never happened.

(Five years passed…. Rin is seventeen now)

Ever since then… Sesshomaru hasn't been the same. He doesn't come around me, he isn't around the mansion as much anymore… I don't dare go around him, I am scared he will get angry and strike me if I pursue him, so I stay away, we only see one another two times a month, and it is when we have dinner, then I recite some samisen for him.

Other then that, I do not bother with him, and nor does he bother with me.








Chapter III: This could really be love?


I slowly moved to get up, I didn't quite feel like getting up… but I couldn't sleep the day away. I removed the blanket from my wet noodle like legs, and slowly got out of bed.

"Uri!" I called.

"Yes?" She called from the hallway…. "Can you please tell me again what Sesshomaru-sama wanted for me to do?" I asked.

"Hai, he wants you to recite samisen for his meeting." She answered bringing a smile to my face.

I got up, and walked over to my bathroom, stripping of my clothes, I get into the steaming hot water, dunking my head beneath the surface staying this way for some time. Then I came up and began scrubbing myself like mad woman. I wanted to be perfect for tonight, after all this would be the first time I saw him on four months, it was winter tie now, and I wanted to see him… desperately… why I don't know!

Once I was finished with my cleaning, I dried off, and then had Uri comb my hair, while Uri fetched my kimono and shoes. Once my hair was tangle free, it was swept up into a beautiful hairstyle. I put a tortoiseshell and a cluster of pearls at the end of a long pin. I began to do my makeup like a geisha would, although I wasn't really a geisha, but according to my education I was. I put on my eye make up, I put on face cream, then I put a reddish blush on my cheeks, then I applied a crimson-brown color to my eyes. After I was finished with my makeup, I peered ay reflection. As a young girl I was called beautiful, but now I had surpassed myself even more! People couldn't believe their eyes when they saw me, and sometimes I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked in the mirror, I was fortunate to be so lovely and beautiful.

Next I put on my kimono. My kimono was a brocade in shades of brown and gold. Below my waist, deer in a rich brown color nuzzled each other, with gold's and rusts behind them in pattern like fallen leaves on a forest floor. My obi was plum-colored, interwoven with silver threads. I looked like a million bucks. I wanted to look spectacular when I played for Sesshomaru-sama and his company. It was nearing time, because I hadn't gotten up until noon purposely.

Once I was able to tear myself away from looking at myself, I walked over to where Uri and Fujiko stared in aw!

"How do I look?" I asked.

"Perfect!" Uri said.

"Beautiful… absolutely marvelous… you're the most beautiful women in the world." Fujiko cried.

I smiled pleased with my results. My kimono hung to my curves just right, I left the front open a little bit, showing off my own ample breast cleavage.

I walked out into the hall, and down to where the dinning hall was; it was one of the grandest rooms you would ever see in your life!

I entered slowly as to have all eyes on me.

It worked Sesshomaru-sama, a tiger demon Iota, and Nenshi his brother Lord of the Northern lands.


They all stared at me. I smiled discreetly. I took my seat in front of the table with my samisen and got into place still peering out at them all. Then I began playing a very sad piece, one that was complicated called "Love through eternity." About a faithful servant who waits on a cliff for her master to return, only to die on the cliff still waiting her master comes back curious to know if she waited, and sees that his servants dies there, and has memories of his servant.

It was a long piece… but I was reaching the end. Once I finished, I looked down, and bowed, curtsying demurely as I could without being suggestive.

"Sesshomaru-sama, she is magnificent!" Iota proclaimed. He was wide eyed; Nenshi stared at me as if he was trying to look into my soul.

"Sesshomaru-sama, she is the most stunning creature I have ever seen. I have never seen anything like her. She is so beautiful. What kind of youkai is she?" Nenshi said.

Sesshomaru stared at me too. I looked up at him through my eyelashes. He stared at me back, without shame. "She is no youkai, she is human." He said slowly.

"Please what is her name?" Nenshi asked

"Rin." Sesshomaru said.

I looked up at him all the way. "Rin, what a suiting name." Iota said still staring at me; I was wondering did they ever blink.

"Rin…" Sesshomaru said drawing my attention. "Hai." I said in my cutesy voice, which obviously worked because I though I saw Nenshi cream in his pants hearing me speak.

"You are excused." He said calmly. I nodded, and then got up, bowing one last deep bow; I walked out the room, slowly and gracefully. Then once I came up I noticed what they wee all staring at now… my breasts, the front had come undone just a little bit, showing more cleavage.

I got into my room, and washed the makeup off, took my hair down, and got out of that expensive kimono and put on a soft Egyptian cotton kimono that looked like the sky.

I brushed my soft long hair. Then I went over to my bed, and lay down on my side, looked at my room.

"Why?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked,

"Nenshi and his brother were just as taken with you as Sesshomaru-sama was." She said.

"Sesshomaru-sama was taken with me?" I asked.

"Yes!" They both screamed in unison.

I smiled… "Good. That's all I ever wanted." I said.




Chapter Five: My body, your body…

I sat down in front of my vanity mirror, combing my hair silently. Today was Sesshomaru-sama's birthday… or so Jaken was saying to some other servants.

I decided I would perform a tea ceremony then do a dancer for him. I wanted today to be special for him.

Rin finally finished combing her long hair, and began putting it into a complicated up do. I stuck two sticks into it. I decided to wear something to give him something to remember.

Soon as she turned around she was face to face with Sesshomaru. Before she could say anything… he walked up to her, "Rin, I want you to perform for me tonight…" he said.

She smiled and nodded. "I will be honored Milord Sesshomaru." She smiled.

He nodded, then looked her up and down, then walked off.

Rin smiled. "I will perform for him tonight, and he told me in person too!" Rin cried.






Chapter Five: My body, your body…

I sat down next to him on the narrow bench. I was closer to him then I had ever been in years!

"Rin. Your performance was well done." He began.

"Thank you… Sesshomaru-sama." I said.

"Sesshomaru, just Sesshomaru." He said.

I smiled nervously… "Sesshomaru." I repeated, and then he nodded.

When he walked away, I got up to go my room. I decided I would choose my kimono now. When I got to my room, laid out on my bed was the most beautiful fabric I had ever seen.

Turquoises silk… with gold trim around the sleeves, collar, and bottom. It had a gold and platinum phoenix on the back of it that looked so real, you could have sworn it could fly. It was the softest material I ever felt as I examined it in my hands. I smiled… I knew only Sesshomaru could pick something so beautiful, just like him. I walked into my bathroom where a warm bath with rose petals was already ready for me. I got in, and took my time. Soon as I got out, I made sure Uri did my hair very well. I did my own make-up, and then got dresses, sprinkling some French perfume on, then putting on some hair ornaments. I smiled at my reflection in the mirror, before leaving… I tucked my fan away in my obi so I could do my fan dance tonight.

I walked down the hall slowly I was scared… and nervous.


Soon as I walked into his study I saw him sitting down facing the door. I walked in as gracefully as I could with the shoes I wore. I smiled at him… Then I took my position in front of him.

I was going to sing a song I learned from Sorincha… it was about herself, but now I made it about me…

I smiled. "Sesshomaru." I said stroking his cheek, he took my hand and kissed it, before closing his eyes to sleep. Rin closed her eyes too.

"I will love you through all eternities… Sesshomaru." Rin whispered as she drifted off to sleep.

He smiled and looked at her… then closed his own eyes.
