Knowing the Truth

This is yet another one shot. Sorry I still dont think im ready to try making a chapter story again... I remember what happened the last time. *sob sob* My master piece! *ducks head in shame* Well this story here goes with a poem I made. Yes I write poems to. Pretty good ones if I say so my self. Well read and enjoy!

---There are something's people just don't know...---

"Where's that damn Kagome at?! She was suppose to be here an hour ago!" Inuyasha as always was furious for her being late.

---Things we do...---

"Calm down Inuyasha. I'm sure she just got stuck at school again." Miroku was just the opposite of Inuyasha. He believed that, when in her time she shouldn't have to be on a tight leash just for Inuyasha.

---Thing's we want know...---

Inuyasha wouldn't take that as an answer. "I'd like to know what the hell it is she's doing NOW that's taking her so long!"

---And things we don't...---

Our lovable monk couldn't stay that way, so he had no choice but to show his perverted side.

"Hmmmmm well I suppose," He looked deep in thought.

---There's many things that go through all our minds...---

"There may be another guy. And seeing as how crude Inuyasha is to her, she may be needing to come over her"

---Some we dread...---

"MIROKU!"

Miroku chuckled at Inuyasha. He oh so loved to get on his nerves! It was soooo easy!

---And some we welcome...---

"He's only teasing you Inuyasha," Came the understanding voice of Sango.

"Kagome's trying her best to get back here, I'm sure of it. You could at least cut her a little slack...."

---But people have a tendency to lie...---

"I'm back you guys!"

Inuyasha, Sango, and Miroku all looked toward the well. Just as the voice said... She was back. Back to the time of people who loved her dearly.

"Where the hell have you been!" Came Inuyasha's normal "hello."

"Studying for the test, THAT I TOLD YOU I'D BE LATE FOR!"

---And sometimes that's all we want to hear is the lie.---

"Oh..."

Now remembering that she did indeed tell him, Inuyasha calmed down. He wasn't in the mood to fight and he could tell there was something up with Kagome.

---You may not do it all the time...---

'Is she lying to me? Why is she so... so not Kagome looking? She looks as if she's hiding something from me. But she has no reason to hide anything from ME.'

---But at least once or twice you've done it...---

Inuyasha gazed down to the ground when he remembered all the times HE had lied to HER. His beautiful features darkened. Yes, how many times had he lied to her to see Kikiyou? How many times had he told her he'd be right back?

---But tell me this...---

Inuyasha and Kagome both stayed behind to talk, while the others headed back. Sango and Miroku both wondering what was going on between the two teenage loves.

---Out of all the things you want to know...---

"Kagome..."

Inuyasha wanted to be careful how he worded this. He didn't want to sound like he was accusing her, what if she really wasn't lying?

"Inuyasha... I'm sorry for being late..."

Kagome looked off to their tree. The sacred tree, not having the will to look at him. He'd never understand if she told. If she told what she'd REALLY been doing.

"Kagome, what's wrong?"

Under Inuyashas' questioning look Kagome stuttered to find a response.

"Nuh.... nuh... nothings wrong...."

She tired to look cheerful, but Inuyasha gave her a look of disbelief.

"Kagome. I know I've lied to you in the past, but I've been doing good about not lying to you. Remember? I told you what really happened? Betw"

"Inuyasha..."

Kagome cut him off on his rant. So he knew? Knew she was lying. Didn't surprise her much, she sucked at lying. But how to tell him. How COULD she tell him? Would he be discust or would things be the same between them?

"I'm afraid... Inuyasha."

To say he was stunned, well that was it. He was stunned. Afraid? He didn't understand. Was someone out to get her?

"Ka.."

"I'm afraid at what you'll say. I don't want to tell you what I was doing, but then you'll be mad at me if I don't. Then if I do... I don't know what you'll do."

Inuyasha took Kagome by the elbows and held her close. Arms wrapped around her, head ducked into the nap of her neck.

"Kagome, we've talked about were we stand a million times if more... I'd think we would at least stand to hear what the other has to say. That we both can keep reasonable heads about us."

Kagome was shocked. Inuyasha was finally taking this seriously? This had to be the happiest day of her life. She still, though, had doubt.

"But..."

"It's like you said, "It's takes the two of us together to help this relationship work."

---Do you want to know the truth?---

Kagome took a deep breathe and just let it all flow out.

"My friend got me something as a joke... And I told myself I'd never use it. But then we went to see this.... Movie. When I got home I still felt .... um.... "funny"."

Kagome had the biggest blush on her face Inuyasha had ever seen. What was she talking about? He thought it was something bad she lied about. Why was she blushing?

"So I used it, came, and called your name out!"

She said the last part so fast that he barely picked it up. What the hell was she talking about?

"Uh... Kagome? I'm not following."

Kagome groaned in frustration. This baka made every thing so hard!

"I found release by thinking of you, then called out your name!"

Inuyasha's eyes widened, and he let go of her walking away. Kagome was worried he was in fact discusted. Stopping not even three feet away, he just stood there. Kagome walked over to him and laid a hand on his back.

"Inuyasha?"

Her confusion was gone when she seen his face. He was brighter than she was telling what she had done! His eyes were still wide, and he look like he was close to a bloody nose.

Kagome couldn't help but to laugh at how funny he looked. True they had a "relationship" now, but they neither one were THAT far. Little kisses here and there, watching sunsets. That kinda stuff they did. They hadn't done anything sexual, nor talked about it. She supposed they were just to embarrassed to, and now seeing as how they both reacted to this. She was sure of it.

"What's so damn funny! I didn't do anything!"

Kagome held her sides and gave one last laugh before coming in front of him and bringing him into a hug.

"Yes, you did, you should have seen your face."

That only made him blush more, but he wasn't about to lose a verbal battle with Kagome. So, Inuyasha smirked down at her and returned the hug.

"Yeah? Well, you should have seen yours."

Kissing her on the lips, they both smiled and laughed at themselves. Mischievous showing in Inuyashas eyes as Kagomes were laughing.

"So Little Mrs.Not Invite Inuyasha, But Get Off At Thinking Of Him.... How was "I"? "I" wasn't to rough was "I"?"

Kagome blushed, but still laughed. Reaching her arms around his neck she kissed him more deeply then the last kiss.

"Nah, "You" were perfect."

They both laughed and started making their way to the village to meet up with the others.

"You know you don't really have to be embarrassed."

"And why would you say that?"

"Ah... I've done it more than once. Cept I was thinking 'bout you moaning, and suc..."

Inuyasha stopped there seeing the blush on Kagome's face.

"You what! Then why didn't you tell me that before?! This wouldn't be as embarrassing then!"

Inuyasha laughed and took her hand in his.

"It's good to know the truth..."

Hahaha! I wanted to make this one funny. Hope you all got a kick outta of it. The poem I made was a serious poem, I just thought I could make a funny story useing it. Here's what the poem looks like without the story.

Theres some things that people just dont know, things we do. Things we want to know, and things we dont. Theres many things that goes through all our minds. Some we dread, and some we welcome. But people have a tendency to lie. And sometimes thats all we want to hear is the lie. You may not do it all the time, but at least once or twice you've done it.
