A New Life
Author's Note: This is my first time ever writing a story based on an anime, much less a crossover. So I hope that you can bare with it for the time being, I am sure that as I continue writing it, it will become much easier for me to write the story. This is a IYYYH crossover. Please Read and Review!!
Summary: Kagome has finally come back from the feudal era after the defeat of Naraku. Much to her dismay, she didn't have time to say goodbye to anyone, including Sesshomaru who helped in the final battle. The Shikon Jewel took her back the moment it was completed and purified and when Naraku was defeated. When she woke up, she was back in her time and tried to forget eveything that happened and live a normal life. But regardless, she will now have to face an ever greater danger than Naraku.

Chapter 1: Demons?! In the Ningenkai?!
"Kagome honey, it's time to wake up. If you don't you'll be late for school again." Kagome turned in her bed, putting her pillow over her head. "Kagome wake up right now!!"
At hearing her mother yelling at her, Kagome slowly got up from bed, her eyes puffy from crying almost the whole night. "Yeah, yeah, I'm up, I'm up." replied Kagome while she yawned. She slowly walked to her bathroom and turned on the shower, getting in as soon as the water was to her liking.
While in the shower, Kagome started to cry all over again. She just couldn't bring herself to forget about everyone she had left behind, especially Inuyasha, the first true love of her life, although she wasn't too sure that he had felt the same way. Her sobs echoed all throughout the bathroom and loud enough to be heard in her room. Kagome's mom was still in her daughters room, thus hearing her crying. Mrs. Higurashi sighed not knowing how to comfort her depressed daughter. "Oh Kagome . . . . . I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of this. I wish there were something that I could do for you, but you have to solve this on your own. Nothing we have done has helped you thus far, i just hope that you become the cheerful Kagome that you had once been." She walked out of her room and proceeded to make breakfast.
Several minutes later, Kagome finally came out the shower, eyes still red from crying. She brushed her hair and went through her closet. She finally found her white spaghetti-strapped v-neck shirt which allowed plenty of cleavage to be shown. She then put on her black hip huggers which were on a bit lower than it was supposed to.
"Kagome, you're going to be late!" Yelled Ms. Higurashi from downstairs. Kagome looked at the time and rushed when she realized that she only had 25 minutes to get to school. She quickly dried her hair and ran down the stairs with her bag in her hand. She said bye to everyone and slammed the door on her way out.
From the moment that Kagome left the house, unknowingly to her someone had been following her every move. "Everyone, get ready to corner her." Whispered the person to his comrades. Kagome continued to run through the street finally getting a bit tired. She turned midway into a block to go through an alley that proved to be a very good shortcut to school. Kagome stopped and caught her breath, holding onto the brick wall for support. Her legs were aching due to her lack of excersise since she came back from the well, now here she was, running at top speed but getting tired much easily. The moment she was ready to start running again, demons were surrounding her from all sides. "Hello my little Miko vixen." Kagome turned around to see a demon, one of the weaker ones.
"Who the hell are you and how are you in this time?!" Kagome was pissed off to say the least. She was in a hurry to get to school, and now she's going to be late thanks to demons who to her never existed in this time. And then he had he had the nerve to call her a vixen?!
"Now now my little Miko, there are a lot of demons in this time, you just never noticed them. I am really none of your concern seeing that you will be killed in about a minute." He chuckled to himself at the thought of the Miko in her own blood spilled over the concrete ground, just the thought made him anxious for her to die. "Kill her now!!"
"I don't think so!!" she yelled as they all went for the kill at the same time, something that she had gotten used to in the Fuedal era. Kagome gasped as she tried to put up her barrier to realize that she felt none of her Miko energy.
What the hell is happening?! I can't seem to put up this stupid barrier!! They're coming closer!! Kagome think!!!
Kagome doged several attacks that could have been fatal and went through an opening she found between them. She started running away from the alley only to be confronted by low class demons. Shit!! I have to do something quick before they kill me!! Well, if they were to kill me, maybe I can finally get some piece of mind and see everyone again. Kagome stopped in her tracks waiting for the attack that will finally send her her piece of mind. Just as she was about to get hit, Inuyasha's voice seeped into her mind. "Kagome!! You can't die you idiot!! You have to live!!" She immediately snapped out of her thought and moved missing a fatal blow to the heart and instead getting slashed across her chest ripping her shirt and caausing her to yell in pain.
"Heh, you missed the attack for the second time but it won't happen again. I assure you your death will prove to be amusing especially hearing your screams of pain." They went to attack her again and this time, they managed to get her more than one time. Kagome fell to the floor as she was taking direct hits to her arms, legs, thighs, and stomache. She was covered in her own blood and was starting to weaken quickly. She got back up to attempt to run only to be stabbed in the back by a pair of claws. She yelled again as the pain hit her. This was the worst of them all, it went deep into her body and the moment the claws were retracted, it hit her again in a different spot. Kagome continued to yell out as her attacker was putting an end to her life slowly and with excrutiating pain. Her eyes started to blurr as the lack of blood was finally getting to her. The last thing Kagome heard were yells from demons, though she didn't know why. Before she knew it she was picked upup off the ground and was held to a strong chest. "Stay with me. Stay with me. Don't fall asleep." He continued to chant this untl she could no longer hear and darkness took over.
A/N: Okay that's it for now. I think i might've ended it prematurely, but it's too late now. I'm probably going to start the next chapter after I post this up, but it might take me awhile. I hoped you enjoy the first of many chapters. I am really sorry if I made any errors or anything like that. I would really like it if you could give me some advice or tips. Oh and sometimes, I'll ask for your advice as I go along with the story. Hopefully you'll like it.
