“Wahhh!”
That was the last thing Inuyasha heard before being completely submerged in the warm hot spring water by Miroku’s clumsiness as he fell on top of him. As he plunged deeper and deeper into the water, he could feel the Miroku’s soft skin press against his. He didn’t know why, but he could feel himself clutching tightly to the one who he so secretly loved, but, what came as more of a surprise, was how he was being held in return. It seemed as if time had stopped for a moment as they fell. Suddenly he could feel heaven, Miroku’s lips pressed against his, the warm kiss being shared in secret under the water. If only he could stop time…
As he felt the pressure in his chest build, he broke away and quickly rose from the water, followed by an obviously aroused Miroku. He felt two warm arms fold around his waist, and in a moment he was lost in the embrace. He loved Miroku, and Miroku loved him. What was so forbidden was expressed time and time again. They could hear the distant sound of Kagome and Sango laughing, the sound of pain, the sound of what kept them so distant, and yet so close, the wall between them. They knew what they felt, and they wouldn’t be able to hide it. Inuyasha knew he couldn’t tell Kagome. He loved her; she couldn’t know.
He knew what he had to do. He pulled Miroku into a deep kiss and grabbed the Tetsusaiga from the bank; it wouldn’t transform, but that was okay. It didn’t need to. He pulled the sword forward, penetrating flesh, through Miroku, and himself. Miroku was silent, making no sound of pain. He knew why, why Inuyasha had…

“No, I know,” Miroku interrupted quietly, and they fell silent.
