Chapter one: One day of 7
He was bored, there was nothing else to it.
It was freezing cold and snow had been falling from heavy gray clouds since last night, there seemed to be at lest 15 inches on the ground. Souta was actually thankful for the 15 degree weather and near blizzard, it had been enough to get School canceled. He didn’t even mind the cold mainly since he hadn’t been paying attention to it, he hadn’t been paying attention to much of anything lately. In a sense it was better that their was a snow day since he hadn’t been able to focus in class for the past week.
He sat in his favorite spot outside right under a cherry blossom tree that resided in his back yard, overlooking the small shrine housing the well. His body was bundled tightly in a blue coat and his hands were clinched in his pockets, Souta had been sitting here so long that a light coat of snow had settled on his shoulders and he couldn‘t feel a number of his extremities. “Hmm...” He sighed lightly, letting his head fall back against the tree, ‘Why can’t I concentrate?’
His eyes drifted over toward the well housed safely with in the shrine, that’s where his thoughts seemed to be most of the time. Souta couldn’t stop thinking about it, his mind wondered what it would be like to be there, in the feudal era. “Kagome is so lucky.” Souta lightly shook his head to scatter some of the snow in his hair, “She gets to miss school all the time...and she get’s to go there.” He wasn’t really envious of his sister, it was just that he couldn’t stop thinking about her and Inuyasha and everything that must have went on there.
“I wonder if it’s cold there...What’s Inuyasha doing?” Souta wanted to call it curiosity, but....it just seemed stronger then that. He’d been thinking about it all the time as he‘d established before, in school when he was supposed to be doing classwork, at home when he was supposed to be doing homework. He barely did any of the things he usually did anymore, it just seemed that he’d sit there and stare into space without having realized what he was doing or how long he’d been doing it for.
Every time his mother would ask what he was thinking of or if anything was wrong, he just said “Nothing.” It seemed like that was all he’d been saying to her lately. She’d just deemed that he’d been sick all this time and ordered him to stay home and get his rest, so while all his friends where out playing in the snow and having fun, he was stuck here, by himself. Just as well, he didn’t really feel like going someplace anyway. “Sick, yeah right...I don’t feel sick.” Souta lifted his hand to his forehead just to make sure “No way, I’m not sick.”
Not sick, just bored. Which put an interesting question in his head ‘If your bored for too long, can you get sick?’
“I hate just sitting around here...” Souta closed his eyes, ignoring the snow that now fell openly across his cheeks. “Urgh!” He covered his face with both hands in a growl of frustration “I can’t concentrate!” He couldn’t in the slightest, and it was starting to get annoying. ’...Maybe I could just...go check on Kagome...’ The thought finally made it’s way out of the back of his mind where it had been settled for the last few days, maybe longer.
Souta opened his eyes, just staring up at the gray clouds and freezing white powder while he thought about what he’d just said. Then with a nod he climbed to his feet and slowly walked toward well, “Yeah, I’ll just check on Kagome.” He told himself, “But...Can I even go there?”
Only one way to find out.
Before he realized it he found himself standing down at the empty well...he sat on the edge and climbed in, the thought of doubt only made it’s way in his head fore a split second before curiosity took him over. “Alright Kagome, here I come!”
! - ! - !
! - ! - !
“Whoa...” Souta reached up and took hold of the wooden border at the head of the well, there was a lot of falling for a regular well, that could have been a good thing. And now he was climbing up, that was even better right? Right? or maybe he’d made a mistake and was climbing up the same way he came...
Souta lifted his elbows on to edge and pulled himself up, his eyes were clinched tightly from nervousness until he felt himself fall forward and hit the ground. He took a deep breath, then looked up at a blue sky with white clouds drifting aimlessly about, completely contrast to the white and gray he‘d been seeing before. There was a warm breeze that washed over him, blowing a leaf into his face. “It worked...” Souta sat up abruptly, picking the leaf off of his face while he took a deeper look around. Excitement rushed through him, he was actually here! He could do what Kagome could!
He just sat there for a moment and waited, taking in every one of the changes.
Deciding to stifle excitement and test out his sense of direction Souta slowly and a bit nervously began to wonder away from the well and into the woods surrounding them. ‘...’ It was warmer here, he could stay that. Souta could see why Kagome would spend so much time here especially during winter, no school, no snow...
“I wonder where Kagome is now?” He wasn’t really worried about that, he was sure Kagome was fine as long as she was with Inuyasha. “I bet she--...”
...
Souta stopped in his tracks... ‘What is that?’ He could...feel something, this strange feeling that he couldn’t describe. At best it was a vibe, one that was slowly growing stronger and stronger. With a questioning look in his eyes he turned to his left, staring into the woods that lay beside the set path he’d been following where that feeling seemed to be coming from...There was a pounding sound, each pound subtitly making the ground below him vibrate. ‘....Oh man...’ And each sound made his heart skip a beat.
“Wait...That sounds like... foot steps?” Souta began to realize that it wasn’t a pounding but actually foot steps, large foot steps, and that vibrating was actually shaking. His fear started to grow “Oh man... Is that--Uuhhff!!” Before he could even try and think about what was happening something hard slammed into the back of his head and sent him crashing down to the ground. His mind just barely realized how strong that feeling was now when a roar tore through the air, causing a shutter to run down his spine and every muscle in his body to twitch.
“Ahhh...” Souta rolled over on to his back so that he could see what had just hit him, he found himself face to face with a very large snake with that was covered in bone armor and spines protruding down it’s back. One thing he noticed was that in it’s forehead above it’s green eyes was a small light glowing from something embedded there. “W--what are you?!” Souta slowly crawled away, but his back hit a tree “Leave me alone!” He shouted, ignoring the feeling of a thick, sticky liquid rolling down his face.
It didn’t work, the gray scull plated serpent hissed loudly and swiped it’s tail across the ground, smashing into the tree Souta was pressed against. The wood managed to absorb some of the impact but it was enough to break through the old tree and send Souta flying to the side, sliding to a stop a few feet away. “Oww....” Souta curled into a ball and clinched the side of his head, The liquid he felt rolling down his face became a stream. He was bleeding and not lightly, not to mention how dizzy and disoriented he felt from the blow... “Leave...me alone...”
The next thing Souta knew his torso was being constricted by the same tail that had just struck him. He was pulled from the ground toward the Snake’s open mouth, visibly dripping venom from the two large fangs now bared when the serpent lunged at him. “Ahhaaaaaaaa!!!!” Souta cringed, clinching his eyes shut in fear as he waited for the pain to come... and it didn’t...
Souta opened one eye, then both of them grew wide with a gasp at the sight, “In--Inu--Inuyasha!?” The boy stared in amazement, Inuyasha stood between him and the demon’s open mouth that hung only a foot above his head, he was 12 inches from impalement. Venom was streaming down over the both of them from the large fangs, a drop falling on the trapped Souta’s shoulder...it burned, making him winced as he watched it eat through the coat he was still wearing. “Inuyasha!”
The half demon didn’t respond to him, he only push away the snake away and fell back gracefully to the ground with his head hung low. The serpent on the other hand didn’t seem at all focused on him and again pulled Souta closer to it‘s open mouth and dripping fangs, that was all it wanted... “Ahaaa! Let me go!” Souta pounded down on the tail that was squeezing the air from his lungs, thankful that just in time Inuyasha intervened and grabbed hold of the long fangs to force it back.
The serpent push out more of the venom with it’s tongue, drenching Souta as well as Inuyasha...Inuyasha howled, quite literally, then pushed upward on the fangs. With his strength he was able to rip apart the demon, severing it’s head from it’s jaw and letting both pieces fall lifelessly to the ground. Much to Souta’s contentment he was released from the constricting tail and fell to the ground. “Ahaaa...” as soon as he landed he started flailing desperately in an attempt to remove some of the acidic venom eating away at him. “Owww, what is this stuff!?”
Inuyasha slowly walked over to Souta, silently he knelt down next to the dark-haired boy on all fours and looked over him as if he’d found something interesting that he’d never seen before. “Inu--Inuyasha?” Souta was barely noticing what Inuyasha was doing, his mind was preoccupied with the fluid that was starting to burn his skin.
Inuyasha took another look over him, allowing Souta to catch a small glimpse of his eyes and more particularly the two red pupils formed into animalist slits, something was defiantly off about the half breed. “Inuyasha? What’s with you?!” Souta drew back a little when he saw Inuyasha’s face, he was sure that this was connected to the reason he was acting so strangely.
Inuyasha grabbed the boy by the shoulders and pushed him down to the ground, drawing a frightened yelp from the boy, then he pressed his nose against Souta’s neck and inhaled deeply...
He caught the sent of the venom and backed away from the very frightened Souta. “Egh!” Inuyasha settled a few feet away, clinching his burning nose and panting heavily “Souta?! What the hell are you doing here?”
“Inuyasha...what is this stuff?!” Souta tried feverously to get the venom off of him, first by removing whatever was left of his coat, but when he found most of it had seeped through he peeled away his shirt. “It burns...really bad.”
Inuyasha glanced over at the demon beside them, then at Souta with the memory of what had just happened burning in his head. This was not a good time for Souta to just show up with out warning, not now! Inuyasha hadn’t know this was the scent he’d been chasing after, if it wasn’t for the strong and potent smell of that venom masking Souta’s he would have lost himself and did who knows what. Why did he have to show up now when he was in heat? “Kid, get the hell out of here now!”
Souta wasn’t focused on leaving, more on why he felt like he‘d just been cast into an open fire “Help me...”
.... ‘Damnit, I can’t let all of that poison...’ Inuyasha sighed, despite his anger that Souta had showed up the boy was covered in venom, and he couldn’t just leave him like that. “Alright come here.” Inuyasha knelt down next to Souta and started removing some of the fluid venom with the sleeve of the red coat he wore, it had resistance to acidic elements, one of the reason he hadn’t been effected by the poison as much as Souta was.
“Inuyasha, you saved me.” Souta smiled gratefully, “Thank you!” though he was now short a shirt and a coat, he was happy when he though of the alternative, being swallowed whole by a snake... Speaking of snakes, Souta glanced back at the dead demon, the source of this strange feeling and still radiating the light he saw before. Strange feelings were seldom a good thing, he had to figure out why what ever was in that demon was causing it, at the moment it seemed more important then any thing. “Hey Inuyasha...what is that?”
“What?”
Souta pointed over toward the demon with an inquiring look in his eyes, “That light.”
“What light?”
Souta, who no longer felt the venom burning his skin, slowly walked toward the demon. Obviously nervous about approaching it by his apprehensive.
“It’s dead already.” Inuyasha rolled his eyes “It‘s not like it‘s going to bite you, just go!”
With a little prompting from Inuyasha, Souta quickened his pace and made his way over to the dead serpent “Right here.” He nervously tapped it’s forehead with his finger, half expecting for it to jump up and attack him. “Don’t you see it, there's something glowing in--!!” Souta jumped back behind Inuyasha in fright when the blue light came to the surface visibly at his touch... “What’s happening?!” His first thought was that the demon wasn’t dead when infact that wasn’t the case.
Inuyasha watched in awe... he couldn’t believe what he was seeing or rather what Souta had seen when he couldn’t, he was even more surprised at what came out of the light... “Is that a...Jewel shard?” He saw a small piece of something that looked like it fit into something larger emerged from the light, floating in front of the serpent.
“What?...” Souta watched from a safe distance as Inuyasha fearlessly reached out and caught the small blue jewel. “You...you found this?” Inuyasha knew he should have been more focused on the fact that Souta had just found a Jewel Shard he would have completely missed on his own especially in his current state that made him oblivious to nearly everything, but he wasn‘t. Speaking of Souta...
“Hey...I feel...kinda funny...”
Inuyasha glanced back at Souta who was on his knees taking heavy breathes, the blood from the pervious attacks shifted course and streamed off of the tip of his nose, “It...hurts...What‘s happening to me?”
“Great...”He really was planning to send Souta back as quickly as possible, to stuff him down that well if need be. He didn’t want to ask or answer any questions, just to get the boy away from him before what ever traces of the snake’s venom was left stopped masking his scent...that scent!
“Come on.” Inuyasha lifted Souta on to his back and ran ahead down the path the boy had been taking before. Souta was about to ask what was happening, where was he being taken, but Inuyasha only gave a quick response of “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.” and kept going.
! - ! - !
! - ! - !
He’d blacked out.
Some where in-between when Inuyasha picked him up until when he felt his body being plunged in water he‘d lost consciousness. Being awakened with a startle, Souta jumped out of the waist high water and looked around frantically, calling out for the first person who came to his mind. “Inuyasha?!”
“Relax, I’m here kid.” Inuyasha was standing nearby with his arms folded and his eyes averted toward someplace off to the left, he seemed to be avoiding eye contact. “How do you feel?”
“I feel... better.” Souta looked down at himself with disbelief, wondering how he could suddenly stop feeling all of those symptoms by just being thrown into...where was he? Souta’s eyes shifted over his surroundings just to see where he was, he was in the shallow end of a lake surrounded by trees, probably someplace that had been in the same area. “You save me! Thank you Inuyasha.” Souta couldn’t help himself, he ran up to the half breed and looked up at him with the adoring eyes. “Without you I would have been--”
“Snake food, yeah I know. Now get out of here kid.” Inuyasha said abruptly...his noise flared and his ears twitched lightly as that scent he’d noticed before made itself apparent again. That scent had drew him to Souta in the first place, that irresistible smell that only could only become so inviting when one was in heat. He’d been like a moth to a flame, completely lost in his current state, it was actually fortunate for Souta that he’d been covered with the venom when he was. If that poison hadn’t masked the boy’s scent when it had...
Souta ignored Inuyasha’s strong desire for him to leave for the moment, he could only expect Inuyasha not wanting to put up with him, he was probably busy anyway. “Where’s Kagome?”
Inuyasha had sent her along with the other‘s off someplace, it had been hard to convince them to go chasing after something that wasn‘t real since he found out that he was a horrible liar. Either that or his friends knew him too well. “She’s fine, I’ll tell her to go visit you or something when she get’s back. Satisfied? Now Go. Home.”...Inuyasha paused, he noticed something different, “What are you looking at me like that for?” ‘No...’
The amazement in Souta’s eyes had shifted to a blank, wonton stare hinted with soft traces of confusion and a glassy appearance. The boy slowly took another step toward Inuyasha with a small almost dazed smile forming across his face. “What’s that smell?” Souta took another step towards Inuyasha. “You smell really good...What is that?”
Pheromones, though Inuyasha hadn’t expected a human to be effected. ‘No...No no no no!’ Inuyasha’s eyes widened when he realized what was happening to him, what Souta was doing to him. Souta, Kagome’s little brother Souta. He’d sent Kagome away and now Souta had just showed up... “Souta...get out of here.” If the boy didn’t leave right now he couldn’t be held accountable for his actions.
“Can I...stay?” Souta gently wrapped his arms around Inuyasha‘s waist, resting his head comfortably against the red fabric of his legs. Any other time he probably would have obeyed and just left, especially considering what just happened to him. But...he really didn’t want to leave for some reason, the usually shy and defiantly not outspoken boy didn’t want to leave despite Inuyasha’s wishes. He just wanted to stay... “Please?”
Inuyasha only had so much self control, that much would explain his usually impulsive nature. He could only resist so much before he lost himself....The golden eyes shifted hue into deep red, a low growl passing through his mouth. His nose flared again, inhaling the scent so close to him...That scent...
Souta being Kagome’s little brother had the same blood line coursing through him, and even though Kagome had been the one with the sacred jewel inside of her. Souta still retained traces of it’s power, it tainted every ounce of his blood just as much as it did his sister, probably the reason he’d been able to sense the jewel shard. And it made his scent that much more appealing.
Souta glanced up at Inuyasha and withdrew at the sight. “Inu-Inuyasha?!” He saw the half breed staring down at him hungrily with those glowing red eyes and bared fangs and claws. “Are you...ok?”
Inuyasha lent down over the boy, brushing his lips across Sota’s neck.
“Inuyasha?... What are you doing?”
“Your scent...” Inuyasha paused to take in more of the boy’s scent, wrapping his arms around Souta to pull him closer. “...”
Souta released a breath he didn’t know he was holding when he felt Inuyasha’s warm tongue run across his skin, everything seemed to be warm about the half-bread.
Inuyasha practically was radiating heat, growing hotter by the second “Inuyasha...what’s...wrong with you?” Souta’s voice was shakier then he had wanted it to be but he was just happy to finally get a word out after another minute of trying. It was becoming increasingly harder to speak. “--Whoa!” Souta was sharply picked up by his waist and thrown over Inuyasha's shoulder.
Before he could inquire anything Souta was pushed roughly back on solid ground with Inuyasha pinning him down by the shoulders. This position caused flashbacks of the last time not so long ago this had been done to him... “Why are--”
Inuyasha gently brushed his lips against Souta’s ear, softly nibbling on the sensitive flesh “Don’t move...just be still.”
Now Souta was confused, he wasn’t sure what was going on but he was starting to like it. His mind was racing with questions, why did he feel so dazed? Why was he getting so hot all of a sudden, and why was he being so...submissive? “What are you doing? Is something wrong Inuyasha?”
“Not at all...” A strange smirk spread across his mouth, his hands moving up from Souta’s shoulders and holding the boy’s heads just to make sure he was unmoving. Souta noticed that even the man’s voice held a different tone, all of this should have bothered him, it just didn’t for some reason, a lot of things didn’t seem to matter anymore. “Just don’t move.”
Not what had just happened to him, not Inuyasha's strange behavior, not his sister’s whereabouts, the only that matted anymore was what was happening to him right now.
Souta closed his eyes with a small nod of compliance, he was perfectly content to just lay there and let Inuyasha continue whatever he was doing. At lest it didn’t hurt, on the contrary, it kinda felt good, and the smell that was coming from Inuyasha... he couldn’t explain why it did what it did to him, it made his throat go dry, it made him feel nervous and excited all at once, it made him want to stay by the source, but most of all...it made him hot, really hot. He was starting to wish he was still in the water “I’m really hot...”
“Heh heh...” Inuyasha’s smirk grew into an impish smile, taking a moment look upon Souta’s nervous and anxious face before he pressed their lips together roughly. Souta’s eyes shot open wide, staring up at Inuyasha in surprise as he felt the warm tongue force it’s way into his mouth. He thought for a moment, debating if he should push him away or not. His mind was screaming for him to do so, echoing it in his head to push Inuyasha way, but despite what his head was telling him he didn’t want to. He was actually starting to enjoy this...even though this wasn’t how he pictured his first kiss.
Even after the initial confusion, by the end of it he was disappointed when Inuyasha pulled away, “Inuyasha...”
Inuyasha dug his claws into the waistband Souta’s plants and ripped them off with one slight pull, Souta would have complained but the heat being generated between them... “Shhh...” Inuyasha ran his tongue below the boy’s chin, gently gracing the warm skin of Souta’s neck with his fangs. Souta winched when he felt Inuyasha reach his torso and the same tongue licking his nipples. The boy clinched his eyes tightly and moaned, each sound he made pushing the half-breed farther into his current state of heat.
Inuyasha growled against Souta’s abdomen, part of him wanting to stay here and play with Souta more, but desire pushed him to go farther. He lifted himself off of Souta long enough to remove his pants and discard them carelessly a side, then returned to his former position. Inuyasha lifted Souta’s leg on to his shoulder, one hand pressing down on the boy’s still wet chest while the other traveled down past the boy’s growing erection.
‘!!’ “Inuyasha!” Souta yelped and his eyes shot open from a sharp pain, Inuyasha hadn’t exactly been gentle when he thrust a finger in to the his entrance. Inuyasha, purely on instinct, slipped his hand into the boy’s wild black hair, leant down and kissed him fiercely. It was more then enough to take his mind off the pain at lest a little as Inuyasha pushed in a second one“Hhhnnnn...”
Inuyasha let out another small growl as he watched the boy squirm beneath him “!!” He became visibly surprised when Souta reach up and grabbed on to both of his ears, luckily both grips were light and Souta was relatively aware of what he was doing. It was more of a curiosity thing, he’d always wanted to do this...Souta opened his eyes halfway, gently scratching behind the fury ears mounted on top of Inuyasha’s head. It seemed to have a positive effect, Inuyasha made an almost squeak like sound and began breathing harder “Souta~.”
Just as Souta was beginning to get used to it, Inuyasha withdrew the extremity from his body. “Inuyasha!” It was forcefully replaced by something much larger, Inuyasha’s length slicked in pre-cum was thrust roughly into the tight entrance. “Ahaa....” It was painful, a much worse pain then the one before, it made him cry out loudly and bite down on his lower lip, he was even starting to push Inuyasha away. “Inuyasha...!”
Inuyasha, wanting a willing mate more then a resisting one, lent down farther and pressed his chest against Souta’s smaller frame, wrapping one arm around the boy’s back while the other had a firm hold on his leg. With a small lick across the boy’s neck Inuyasha bit down into the flesh lightly but hard enough to draw blood to distract him from the pain. Inuyasha’s nose flared again, that scent grew even stronger.
“UHhaaa...” Souta let his hands fall from Inuyasha’s head to the ground and clinch whatever he found at his sides. The cries of pain quieted into small moans, that almost tearing pain he was feeling before was starting to fade away, this was starting to feel...good. “Inuyasha...this feels...--” he was breathing to hard to get anything understandable out.
He could honestly say this wasn’t how he expected things to turn out when he jumped down that well, curiosity being his soul motivation, or at lest that what he thought brought him here.. But once he found Inuyasha he couldn’t keep himself away, there was something about him today that just drew him in.
“Ahhhhhhaaa...!!” Souta let his head fall back onto the ground with a loud moan forced it’s way out of his mouth as he came, the milky white fluid was released in a session of small spurts that landed on to his bare chest and streamed down the softening member. Inuyasha continued thrusting into the tight entrance, the inward muscles constricted around him with more heat and pressure.
“Uhaa,..” Inuyasha howled in an animalistic manner and tightened his embrace around the boy, his hole body tensed as he stopped mid thrust and came. The sticky white fluid shot into Souta to the point where it overflowed, streaming down his leg and on to the ground below him...
Heat declining and breath normalizing, Inuyasha released Souta and rolled over next to him, his hand resting on to his chest. “So...Souta.” Inuyasha glance over in the boy’s direction, it was no use saying anything since the boy was already asleep and quite peacefully.
“Inuyasha.” Souta moaned half asleep, slowly making his way toward the half demon and laying his head on top of Inuyasha’s chest.
! - ! - !
! - ! - !
Inuyasha sleepily opened his eyes with a light yawn, his pupils their normal golden color this time instead of the more demonic red they had before...Speaking of demonic, Inuyasha closed his eyes and waited for a moment...yes, he was still in heat. ‘Damnit! Why can’t this just be over!’
With his current state making him constantly aware of itself, Inuyasha lifted his head and tried to sit up except that something was weighing him down. He glanced down and saw Souta curled up on against his chest, he himself even had his arms wrapped around the boy. The sight of this brought the memory of what happened...by looking up at the sun it had to have been an hour ago, rushing back to him. It was sort of a blur since when he was in heat the demon half of him took over, but he got enough of it. “Damnit!!”
Souta opened his eyes and immediately looked towards the source of the scream “Inuyasha?”
“Kid...did we...” Inuyasha asked with his left eye twitching lightly, just in case there was a small chance that it hadn‘t actually happened, that it had just been a dream. He sat up, forcing Souta to sit up as well, and just from the look at the signs one of which being the bite mark on Souta’s shoulder and the obvious and quite messy aftermath left in a small pool around them including shredded clothing that used to be Souta‘s pants. ‘Damn, we did. I can’t believe I mated with him.’
“Inuyasha...” Souta’s shyness started to come out again, he rubbed the back of his head and looked away. He also seemed to have returning to normal since there wasn’t as much pheromones coming from him. “Can you...kiss me again?”
“Huh?” Inuyasha scratched behind his ear again “You wanna what?”
“I wanna another kiss...last time it caught me off guard but not this time.” Souta told him surely.
‘Why didn’t he leave? Why did it have to be his scent?’ Inuyasha sighed, he couldn’t believe he was so attracted to Souta. All those other times he was in heat he’d been able to get through it by going as far away from everyone and everything for the whole week it lasted. But not this time, this time he hadn’t been so lucky. Well either way he’d mated with him, even marked him, Souta was his no doubt about it.
Inuyasha lent forward and easily gave in, giving him a soft kiss, followed by a deeper one. Souta wasn’t dormant this time, he copied everything Inuyasha had did to him before...Souta pulled back, holding his head down a little “Can I...stay with you?” Souta asked with a pleading voice and the most begging eyes he’d ever made. “Please?”
Inuyasha sighed again, pulling the boy in to his lap. He liked being close to Souta, close to the scent that had drew him here in the first place. Instinct was starting to take over, he found himself being a little protective of his new mate. ’Why me?!’ “I like you and all kid, but you like me as much as you thinking.”
“What do you mean?”
“You don’t get it do you, I’m in heat, you did what you did because that’s what attracted you to me. Not because you necessarily wanted too. Go home.”
“What? I don’t really think that true.” Souta shook his head “Now that I think about...I’ve been thinking about a lot. I can’t concentrate on anything else anymore, just...you.”
Inuyasha stared down at him for a moment... “How long?”
Souta held his head down and played with his fingers “A month...”
‘A month...?’ Inuyasha wrapped his arms around Souta and laid back, well it was his first day of a whole week he‘d being through heat, and since he now had a mate.... “Souta, you have to go home.”
“What?! Please, let me stay, I wanna...stay with you.”
“Kid...you don’t have any clothes on.”
Souta looked down at himself... he was right, all of his clothing had either been burned away by venom or ripped away by Inuyasha back when he wasn’t in control of himself. A rather large blush spread across his cheeks. “Oh...”
Inuyasha laughed loudly, obviously amused.
“You don’t have any either.” Souta shot back.
“I don’t care.” Inuyasha stifled the rest of his laughter as his mind shifted courses. “So how did you see the Jewel Shard?”
“The what?” Souta glanced up at him in confusion, a little surprised at how quickly the conversation changed.
Inuyasha reached over to where his pants lay discarded beside them and dug into his pockets. “This.” He retrieved a small capsule containing the Jewel Shard that had been inside of the demon he killed before. To be honest he’d thought that snake was something trying to take his potential mate, well the demon half of him did at the time. “You found it, even purified it.”
“I don’t know, I just felt this really strange feeling coming from that snake.” Souta shrugged, he was right that was all it had been. He felt something and he saw a light, he didn’t have time to think about it too deeply since he was about to be eaten and all.
Well, the good news was that when his friends came back, he’d have something to show for the completely useless trip he’d sent them on. “Never mind...you better get going kid.”
Souta nodded and climbed out of Inuyasha’s lap, he wasn’t looking forward to the thought of going back to cold weather, snow, home, school ... Souta paused and looked back. “Inuyasha...can you come with me?”
“What?”
“Please...?” Souta really wanted to stay with Inuyasha, he felt like he’d become attached, maybe he had.
“I’m not a daycare kid.” Maybe it was the hormones, but if Inuyasha had an opportunity to be close to his new mate there was no way he could say no. Maybe it was just demon instinct that made him want to protect Souta even though the boy was in no real danger, and made him start to feel highly possessive. “ ...tch. fine.”
“Thanks.”
“Yeah yeah.”

Well that’s it, I wrote this fic on request for some one, I just hope it came out good. Maybe if I get a good enough response I’ll keep it going, at lest for another chapter.
