"Kikyou."
"Yes?"
Inuyasha wrapped her close to him.
The smell of her filling his nose with the soft sent she use to have.
He bent his head to her's, kissing her lips softly, almost timidly.
He closed his eyes at the familar sent and feel of the Kikyou he once knew.
Suddenly, everything seemed to tilt as spin and soft arms embraced him, the familar sent changing, to one he knew only too well.
The kiss continued for a time, till finally, he lifted his head, his eyes opening to see the soft smile of Kagome.
Inuyasha jerked awake, panting a bit with a fine sheet of sweat breaking out acrossed his skin. Why? He growled to himself. Why dose she continue to haunt my dreams? Can't she leave me alone? Inuyasha looked down at the girl, no woman, that had been with him since they first meet nearly 2 years ago. She's always been with me while I'm awake. He sighed, turning his golden gaze to the sinking full moon. So why not in my dreams too? Inuyasha growled at himself for allowing himself to think that. I wish that wench would leave me alone! Give me one moments peace! He knew he was only fooling himself, he knew, deep down, that he wanted Kagome to always be near. To always be close.
I wonder what he is thinking about? Kagome turned her head slightly to look up at the handsome hanyou that had stolen her heart. Inuyasha had awaken her with his low growl, thinking that there was something wrong, she had went to reach for her bow, then she had seen Inuyasha in his tree, staring off at the moon. Sometimes, I wish I could read his mind... Kagome surpressed a giggle at the thought of reading the stubborn hanyou's mind. Shippou mumbled something in his sleep as he clung to the front of Kagome's shirt, she smiled at him, gently rubbing his back. Miroku and Sango had went off to investage a rumor of a Shikon shard in a village to the north. I guess I should get some sleep before day break. Holding Shippou to her and with one last look at Inuyasha, she soon fell alseep again, dreams filling her mind with images of her beloved hanyou.
The sun slowly creep over the horizon, bathing Inuyasha's face with it's warm glow. Morning, finally! He heard Kagome stir and turned to see her looking up at him, a bright smile curving her full lips. She is so beautiful, with the sun bathing her skin in a coppery glow... Startled by his own train of thought, he just stared at her.
\d mod morning, Inuyasha." Kagome's voice startled him further and her nearly fell from the tree. "Are you alright?" Inuyasha jumpped down, scowled at her.
"Feh!" I hate it! She makes me feel so weak and yet so strong... I hate it! He could see Kagome looking at him through the corner of his eye. Great! Now what? "What are you lookning at, wench!?"
Why does he always do that!? Kagome seethed, scowleding at him. Her lastest dream was still freash in her mind and she wished that Inuyasha was really that gently, really that sweet. But reality always gets in the way and the real Inuyasha is a jerk! Kagome knew that she was only mad, she won't trade her Inuyasha for the world. Inuyasha stood adn walked off, throwing a 'I'm going to get some fire wood' over his shoulder. Kagome just sighed, slipping from her sleeping bag without stirring Shippou from his sleep. "Do I still have ramen?" She quitly asked herself, digging in her huge yellow backpack, her dream coming to her.
Inuyasha stood near the Go-Shinboku, his both of his shirt were pulled off and laying over a root.
Kagome's breath caught in her throat at the sight of him.
The moonlight danced across his flawless skin, his silver hair shining.
"Come to me, Kagome..." Inuyasha held his hand out to her and she all but ran into his embrace.
He kissed her then, consuming her with his touch and taste.
"I want you..." His voice was like silk, sooth and sent chills down her spine.
His taste was dark and forbidden.
Inuyasha began to remove her shirt, kissing every inch of skin he uncovered....
Kagome sighed as she recalled the ending of the dream, the sun had woke her and she wanted nothing more to go back to sleep and finish it, but with the sun in her eyes, it was hard to do that. How far would my dream have gone? Would he and I really... in my dreams... well, only in my dreams. Sighing, she fished out the last 3 packages of ramen as Inuyasha strolled back into the campsite, his arms ladined with fire wood.
"I have to go back home to restock, Inuyasha. These are the last package of ramen I have left." He looked up at her from trying to restart a fire, eyeing the ramen in her hands.
"Feh, Fine!" Kagome shook her head, sitting near him as he went back to starting the fire. Would it be possable for my dreams to really happen? To really be wrapped in his arms, being kissed and loved by him? Taking one look at the swcold on his face, she knew that it was just a dream and would be nothing more.
Inuyasha could tell something was on her mind and wondered what it was. Why should I care? He smirked as he got the fire started, shivering as she leaned near him to place some wood in the fire. Without really thinking, he wrapped his arms around her and held Kagome against him, breathing in her sent. I'm holding her... and she's not pulling away... Joy filled him completely, joy that he could hold her and she not turn away in disgust, joy that she accepted his touch and attention.
"Inu-Inuyasha?" Suprise was eviden in her voice as she leaned back slightly to look him in the eyes.
"Yes?" Kagome just stared at him for a moment, till something clicked and she leaned forward. Their lips met timidly, as if both were afraid of being regected.
"Kagome..?" Shippou's sleepy voice broke the spell and Inuyasha push away from her, marching to his tree and rested against the trunk.
"Yes, Shippou?" Kagome's lips still tingled from Inuyasha's slight touch, she moved to the young kitsune and he hopped into her arms.
"What's for breakfast?" She had to giggle at him, pointing to the ramen. "Ramen!! Yey!"
"I have to go back to my time to get more though, that's the last of it." Shippou nodded as Kagome went about making the ramen.
After they had eat, Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippou began the short journy back to Keade's village. Inuyasha still couldn't believe that they had kissed, nothing it was much of one, but a kiss none the less. Does she really think that way of me? He looked over his shoulder at the young woman that had seemed to accpet him. Kagome was pushing her bike, talking with Shippou who sat in the bike's basket. If I try to kiss her again, would she allow me? Or was that just a one time thing? Something that wasn't meant to happen, but did? Questions filled his mind as they continued to wall toward Keade's hut, they had long sence entered the sleepy village and Keade's hut was coming into sight.
