Chapter 1

Sobs of fear shook the young woman’s frame as she sat under the moonlight. The wind whipped and howled around her as if understanding her terror. Moans and howls of the wind through the trees were the only sounds in the deep darkness of the full mooned night. No animals cavorted in the forest almost in for fear of being discovered by the wicked being that invoked such horror in the soul of one small girl. Shifting in the cold, biting wind she sniffed. Her tear stricken face lifted to the sky as she watched the dark clouds move silently to block the moon and stars. She shivered. The memories began again to assault her weary mind and the pain filtered in anew.

“Sango! On you left!”
“Thanks monk.” Sango said as she swung her boomerang around in a full circle and into the torso of a huge, growling demon. Jumping away from it as it fell the tough demon slayer smirked.
“Damn! Where are they all coming from?!” InuYasha shouted in frustration. “Kagowatcwatch out!” He shouted in near panic.
“I got it!” Kagome shot her arrows in quick succession through the mass of demons that were rapidly approaching. ‘This is getting tiring. We can’t hold our ground much longer.’ She thought to herself as she watched her brave friends cut down the attackers.
“Get back to the trees and cover us from there.” InuYasha yelled at her.
Kagome hesitated, fearing their fate.
“GO!”
She turned around and ran. He was right. She could cover them easily from here, out of danger, since all the demons were coming from one direction. A fact that she should have questioned.
Kagome ran to the forest and agilely climbed up a tree. Absorbed in the fight she watched and waited for her perfect moments to strike. She strung her bow and shot at the demons who got to close to her friends. Her form shook as she loosed arrow after arrow. Her quiver becoming lighter by the moment. Watching her friends battle was tough as she sat safe in her little copse of trees. Or so one would assume.
Suddenly a hand snaked it’s way around he waist and drew her from the tree. She opened her mouth to scream but another hand had covered her face. Twisting and thrashing she tried to free herself from a strong grasp.
The strong arms held her tightly as she thrashed around violently. Kagome stopped suddenly and gagged for breath. The hand was removed from her face and went to her neck. She whimpered in fear and shut her eyes tight.
“Scream and I’ll kill you.” A familiar voice said in her ear. Shivers of fear sprang up her spine as her eyes went wide. No. It couldn’t be!
“Naraku.” Her voice shook. “What do you want. I don’t have the shards with me.”
He chuckled coldly. “I know that. There is something else I want.”
Kagome shook. “What? What do you want?” She began to move around, desperately trying to wiggle her way out of his powerful arms.
“I already have it.” He said with a sickening tone of satisfaction. “I want you.”
She went still. Her mind screamed at her to do something. To run, to scream, to find a place to hide, to fight! But she froze. Her whole body just froze.
Naraku spun her around and gazed into her horrified eyes. Her face was as white as snow and her mouth was open in astonishment.
Kagome stared into his lust filled eyesr inr insides squirmed. “Kikyo.” She managed to whisper. “It’s Kikyo you want.” She struggled to hold onto her rising panic. Showing such terror would only make him happy.
“Is that what you think?” He laughed. “You and InuYasha are both idiots. He can have that clay pot. I want the innocent, pure miko.” He softly stroked her cheek and she shuddered in revulsion.
He roughly grabbed her throat and squeezed. Kagome closed her eyes and focused on breathing until she felt a hand on her lower back. Tears pricked her eyes as the hand went lower and stroked her bottom.
‘No!’ She thought fiercely. ‘Not him. Not like this.’ She pulled away with all her strengnd mnd managed to break away.
Her back to the tree she opened her mouth and let out he most piercing, terror-filled scream she possibly could.
Naraku snarled and slapped her hard across the face. She went down hard to the forest floor and looked up with terrified eyes at the glowering demon.
He bent down and grabbed her wrists cruelly. He slammed her back against a tree and leaned in. Her eyes pricked in unshed tears as she felt the bruises begin to form under her skin.
“You will be mine. Don’t doubt that. I want to be the one to taint you purity.” He grinned viciously and pushed his face against here.
‘He… He’s kissing me! No!’ Her mind screamed but no amount of thrashing could throw off the much stronger demon. She could feel his foul tongue make it’s way into her mouth and glide along, tasting the soft flesh of her mouth. The taste of him flowed into her mouth and Kagome couldn’t keep the tears in. Moments passed as they stayed locked together in the trees. Kagome’s heart pounded and she felt her world crumbling to dust around her.
“Kagome!” A voice rang out through the trees.
‘InuYasha!’
Naraku took his mouth from hers and scowled. “I will be back for you.” With that he flew into the sky surrounded by his poison miasma.

Kagome shook in terror. He would be back. He would be back for her. She hid her face against her knees.
‘InuYasha will protect me. He told me that long ago.’ She tried to convince her self.
‘He told Kikyo he wouldn’t let Naraku have her. And Naraku still got her. And InuYasha loved her.’ Kagome shuddered. ‘What am I going to do?’
Her sobs intensified and her whole body shook. ‘How can I be so afraid of a singly person?’
The feel of his rough hands on her body the the taste of his lips taking control of hers came back to her. His foul, disgusting tongue was a etched forever in her darkest nightmares.
‘Oh god!’ She retched. But her already empty stomach could not force anything up.
The need to throw up slowly left her and she shook and gasped for breath. ‘What am I going to do?’ She asked herself again.
A drop of rain splattered on the top of her head and she looked up.
A light sprinkle of rain soon covered the clearing in witch she sat.
The raindrops ran down her face and mingled with the tears that wouldn’t stop dripping from her eyes.
Kagome sat there and let the rain soak through her clothes.
‘Maybe this will wash away the smell and feeling.’
Kagome felt dirty. She felt as if she hadn’t bathed in a weed. She could still feel his hands on her and she wished the feeling away.
‘I’m surprised InuYasha didn’t smell it on me. Then again he was pretty badly injured.’ Kagome looked in the direction of the village. They had all made it there before collapsing in exhaustion.
Miroku was tending to Sango and Keade was patching up InuYasha. Shippo and Kirara were asleep in the hut and Kagome had left when the others had started to drift off.
‘I’m surprised they all didn’t sense it on me. I guess it’s a good thing they’re so tired.’ Kagome smiled softly. ‘I don’t want them to worry.’
She shook her head. ‘Who do I think I’m fooling? As soon as they find out they’ll be disgusted with me. He kissed me and I couldn’t stop him. I feel so dirty. Who would accept me now?’
The rain stopped and left the grass wet. She looked up at the god-tree, under witch she sat. She lost her self in the beauty of it. This was the one place that r chr changed. The tree. It would always be here. It’s huge branches sheltering all from the harsh evil that threatened them. It was a god. No one could defeat the calm, protecting beauty that surrounded it’s aura.
More tears found their way down her damp cheeks and she viciously wiped them away. ‘I don’t deserve to sit under the god tree.’
‘Gods I’m a coward. I shouldn’t have been so scared. I shouldn’t have frozen!’ She smacked her hand down on the grass and looked down at it. She gasped.
Ugly bruises circled her wrist in the shape of fingers. She looked at her other wrist and sure enough there were more bruises there. She took out mirror and stared down at it. Orange bruises surrounded her neck from where Naraku had grabbed her. And a huge bruise spread down her cheek from the slap she had received.
‘No. How an I going to explain that?’ She looked at the reflection and then to her lips. Angry tears sprung from her eyes and she flung to mirror away from her.
The glass shattered as it hit the ground and she stared at the shards.
Memories of his kiss sprang to her mind and she sobbed. ‘He kissed me!’
She whipped her hand across her mouth over and over but the evil feeling wouldn’t go away. Sobbing, she continued to rub at her mouth. ‘I should go home. I can have a bath there and wash away the smell of Naraku.’
But she didn’t get up to leave. ‘I would be running away. I need to be strong, brave.’ Her heart beat painfully as she thought of Naraku. ‘Yeah. Brave.’
Kagome looked sadly around the clearing and sighed quietly. ‘If I were so brave I would tell the other what happened.’ She trembled at the idea.
‘No. I… I can’t. What would they say? InuYasha already thinks I’m a weak, coward. I’d be proving him right.’ Her face went again to the bruises covering her wrists. ‘I don’t want them to hate me. I…I kissed Naraku. The one evil being we swore to destroy. How could I tell them the evil desires me… I’m already tainted but I don’t want that level of impurity.’
She sobbed drewdrew her legs up to her chest. ‘Please let someone save me.’ Her sobbing wracked her already tired form and exhaustion shore heavily on her face. Deatioation and Despair soon found it’s way to her heart and she winced. ‘I’m so weak…’ She thought angrily to herself.
“InuYasha… you told Kikyo that you wouldn’t let Naraku have her. He nearly killed her.” She looked down at her feet and sighed. “What if it wasn’t Kikyo, Naraku wanted?” The uncaring wind carried away her sorul qul question.

Wow. That was depressing. I think I need a hug. Sorry it's started out so sad. It will get happier and fluffier later. I'll see you all in the next chapter.
