Naraku sat crosslegged on the floor watching Kanna's mirror carefully. "Hmmm, so she has a soft spot for young kids after all. Well that definately settles it, I failed once at impregnating her I'll be sure not to make that mistake again. Since she has an affection for that girl maybe I should have Kohaku kidnap her."
"But wouldn't that just bring Sesshomaru here?" Kagura asked.
"Yes of course.If he thinks he can meddle in my affairs I'll meddle in his. She's mine, and Kagome wont be able to do anything. Not unless she can force herself to kill her cousin."
"Why go through all this trouble for a human girl?"
"That is none of your business Kagura now go, Akira will be coming back to me soon enough."

Akira moved through the thick underbrush of the forest. The trees were so close together it was almost as if they were enclosing her inside so as not to escape. She made an uneasy laugh at the thought of this forest trying to keep her. She stopped at a large tree it almost looked familiar in someway, She ran her fingers over the bark.
She noticed something shiny sticking out of the tree, she pulled the bark off when the shard fell to her feet. She picked it up carefully and examined it. "Heh another one of those damn shards." She said to herself as she clutched it in her fist.
"That man with the girl, he seemed nice enough a little cold as that girl said. Its nice to see a father type figure around here."
Akira shook her head "what am I thinking."
An arrow came out of no where and struck the tree she was leaning against. Akira turned around to see a group of men with more then just arrows for weapons.
"Be a good girl and hand over that jewel shard."
"What's in it for me if I give it to you?"
"We wont kill you."
"I don't have to take orders from you."
"I'd watch what you say girly." the man said holding a sword to her throat.
"Hand it over!" Another man said.
Akira heard howls of wolves off in the distance. "Damn its the wolf demon tribe." A man on horseback said.
"We're no match for the wolf demons boss."
The boss sheath his sword. "Lets let them have the girl I'm sure she'd make an excellent meal for them." The boss pushed Akira up against the tree and tied her up quickly before heading off with his men taking the shard she found.
Akira pulled at the rope how'd she manage to get into this? She's never seen any wolf demons but she could hear the wolves. Her eyes grew wide as she saw red eyes in the bushes.
Wolves came out from the underbrush surrounding the tree growling. One howled loudly. Akira bit her lip as she saw a dustbowl coming at an alarming rate. Suddenly, the dustbowl seased and standing in front of her was a man in fur clothes long black hair tied tightly and azul eyes.
"Hmm you're not Kagome." he said.
"Of course I'm not!"
"Unusal your scent is so similar yet so different."
"Why does everyone I meet keep telling me that?"
"Can you see jewel shards?"
"I don't know! Are you going to untie me or just leave me here."
The man came up and examined her closely as he slowly untied her. "Can you see jewel shards?" He asked again.
"There are two in your legs."
"Hmm so you can see jewel shards." He said with a smile that made Akira feel uneasy.
"Who are you?"
"I am Koga of the wolf demon tribe, and you are?"
"Katelyn."
"Are you related to Kagome?"
"you could say that I suppose."
"Can you fight?"
"Yes."
"Good, you're just as good as Kagome then." He said picking her up.
"Wait what are you doing?"
"Relax nobody's going to lay a hand on you as long as I'm around."
"What's that suppose to me?"
