A/N:Thanks for reading my first story.There will be some character deaths later in the story and I plain to make it a long one.There are many original characters in this story. This will be the only story I will be working on for the time being, so that it can get my full dedication.Please review, be honest but not harsh.

"Why do you have that look on your face? You are planing something I can tell."Sesshomaru knew his friend was up to something he just couldn't figure out what.

"Nothing.You should get going. The stables are that way. Good luck." Bo 'Rai Cho looked very happy. Sesshomaru went around to the stables. He had only been there for 2 minutes when Jade came out of the castle. She went in to the stable and came out with a beautiful steed. It was all black with a braided mane. "Come on Airashii old boy let's go" She saddled the horse and then she was off. Sesshomaru wasn't to far behind. She rode for about a half an hour. She didn't stop till she came to a wooded area. Once there she got off the horse and walked it through the trees. On the otherside of the trees was a beautiful lake with cherry blossom trees all around it. She left Airashii without even pulling the reins around a tree as if she knew he would not run off. Sesshomaru quickly realized she must do this quite often. He watched her from behind a tree as she walked over to the waters edge and took off her riding boots. She was not dressed like a princess, she had on a tight buttondown plain white shirt with the cuffs on her sleeves unbuttoned, tight black riding trousers that looked like capris, and the black riding boots that came up to the middle of her calves which she just took off. Her long hair was pulled back into a ponytail, all but a few strands hung about her face. Sesshomaru stared at her, he thought it was so beautiful the way that when the sunlight hit her black hair you could see all the vibrant red streaks flowing through it even better . It looked as though her head was set a blaze. When the wind would blow you could not tell where the black stopped and the red began because the streaks were so perfectly entwinded together. She sat down and put her feet in the lake. He turned away for a few minutes to collect himself he couldn't believe how attracted to her he was. He took a deep breath and turned back around,but she was gone."Where the hell did she go?" That's when he smelled her, she right was right on the opposite side of the tree." I was that smitten that I did not sense her move, or smell her get closer" He thought to himself.

" I know you are there. Why have you been following me? Show yourself."Sesshomaru did not answer. He was going to leave when she peered around the otherside of the tree and was now right in front of his face. They stared at eachother for a while. Then she spoke, " Who are you?" But he did not answer.

"You can talk can't you?" She stared at him and waited for a reply."Well if you can you are being quite rude. Anyway my name is.....I'm not suppose to say to people I don't know, but what the hell if you were here to kill me you would have done it by now. I'm Jade and you are?"she looked him in the eyes. At first he thought say nothing, but then he looked in her eyes and wanted so badly to talk to her.

"Sesshomaru." (We all know that Sesshomaru isn't a man of many words.)

"Well,well, you can talk. So Sesshomaru is it,why are you following me? This is not the first time I have felt your power. You were in my room last night weren't you?"

"My power?"He wanted to know what she meant.

"Yes you are very powerful, I can feel it when you move. For some reason I have been able to tell these things since I was a child, but I have never told anyone." She wonder why she just told him that. She got real quiet and looked like she had done something wrong. Sesshomaru couldn't believe that she was opening up tp him.

"You have done nothing wrong, so don't look like that. It's unbecoming of your face to look sad. I will not tell anyone your secret. The reason I am following you is my friend knew your mother and he wanted me to check on you." He could not believe he was talking so much. For some reason he could not control himself. When he looked at her he just had to tell her something to make her stop looking like that. When he looked back up at her again he noticed she was staring at his face. It made him feel uneasy"She must realize I'm not human. I must think of something to say" He was trying to think of something when she began to talk again.

" I am sorry to stare at you, but your face, those marks. Are they birthmarks or tattoos?" She was still staring at him.
Her innocence intrigued him. She truthfully did not know he was a demon. Usually this would make him upset, being confused with a human and all, but he was happy that she did not realize what he truly was.
"Yes, I have had these since birth."

"You are.... I mean they are so beautiful." She reached out like she was going to touch his face .He didn't know how to feel. He didn't give her permission to,but yet he wanted her to touch him. Her hand was inches from his face when she quickly pulled back." I am so sorry. How forward of me. Pleaes forgive me. I have just never seen anyone like you before. I don't mean that in a rude way. I just.... never mind. So you say your friend knew my mother right?"She went and sat back down by the lake and put her feet back in. He didn't know what to do should he leave or stay. She looked back at him and did her finger in the come over here motion. He had never did what someone told him to do. He usually made them ask. But for her he made an exception. He went over and sat down about 6 feet away from her.

"I don't bite. You can come a little closer."She stoped to think about what she had just said. She did not want to seem like she was being forward ,"So that we can talk with out having to yell. It will make it easier." He came a little closer. She smiled at him. Now that he was sitting closer to her he could see that she had something over her teeth.

" Yes, my friend did. Can I ask you something?"

"Yes,what is it?"

" What is that on your teeth?"

" This?" She took some kind of clear plate off of her teeth " I only take it out at night when I am going to sleep. My Daddy says that I have abnormal eyeteeth growth. He use to have them filed down, but it caused me to much discomfort and they kept growing back. So he had this specialy made to hide them insteed. He said he didn't have a problem with it ,but that other people might think I was imperfect and talk badly about me. So he said I should never show anyone but him and my siblings."

"Can I see?"Sesshomaru had an idea of what they were,but wanted to see to make sure.

She looked shocked at his qustion " I guess I could show you." She gave him a great big smile ."So do I look imperfect?" She looked down at the ground.

His assumptions were correct they were fangs. "So she obviouly has demon in her" He thought before saying " No,I do not think that at all. Look." He opened his mouth and showed her his fangs. She looked shocked at the sight of them." Wow!! You have some too, I thought that I was the only one in the world. Now I don't feel so different. Well I guess I can keep this out for right now. It kind of hurts my gums." She put the plate away in her pocket."So how did your friend know my mother?" She looked at him with a puzzling look.

"She was a friend of his son. She was actually his son's bestfriend."

"Really? My Daddy never spoke of her having any friends, but then again he doesn't like to talk about her much anyway. I think it hurts him to much. See my mother died giving birth to me and I don't know much about her. Everytime I ask about her all he will say is that she was the love of his life, that until I was born no one else could surpass her in beauty and I remind him so much of her. When I ask his new wife Tallia all she says is that she was very kind. My sister said she was like an angel and she wishes that she were her mother insteed of Tallia. My brother was to young to remember her. I am her only child, my brother and sister are Tallia's children and my father married her two years after my mother's passing. She is wondeful to me but I can't help but feel like part of me is missing. So maybe I can meet your friend and he could tell me more about her. Do you think he will meet with me?"

" I can ask him, but I see no reason why he would not." At that moment they turned around. They both knew someone was coming. Jade saw that Sesshomaru was preparing to leave. She pulled on his pant leg."Where are you going?"

"I must go. I will come to your room later and tell you what he said." She released his pant leg and he quickly vanished. At that moment Zane rode up from around the trees on his horse.

"There you are Father is going mad. When I got came in he was preparing to send all the guards to come look for you. I told him I would do it, cuz I knew you would be here. Was someone else just here? I thought I heard you talking to someone."

She stared off in the direction Sesshomaru had just ran off in. Jade had never in her life lied to Zane before, but she knew if she told him about Sesshomaru, he would tell her father and he would never let her come back out on her own again. If he did not know, she could talk him into letting her back out alone. "No, I was just talking to Airashii here." The horse had come over and was standing next to her.

"Alright then. We should be getting home, before Father blows a fuse." They hopped on his horses and were on their way. When they got home they put their horses in the stable and went into the castle. While they were in the hall Zane noticed she was not wearing her mouthpiece."You might want to but that thing back in your mouth. If Father sees you were outside without it, it will make him more angry."

"Thanks I almost forgot."She put it back in . They went in to the throne room where Tabis was frantically pacing back and forth. When he saw them walk in his face was lit up with relief as he grabbed Jade and gave her a hug and then looked at her. "Are you alright? I was so worried."

"I am fine. I was only gone for an hour."

His face turned into an angry expression." First off, you have been gone for four hours. Secondly, you did not tell me you were leaving and you went alone. I am very displeased with you. Go to your room and I will talk to you when I have calmed down."

Jade thought he was being unreasonable and she quickly lost her temper. Her eyes turned a deep red color and the room began to shake from her anger " First of all, I told you I was leaving. You can ask Mioko she was standing right next to you. Also I really didn't know that it had been that long. I am sorry for that, but if you think that you can yell at me and then dismiss me to my room you have another thing coming. I will not be told what to do." She stormed out of the castle and into the garden.

"Well you sure did piss her off." Zane said laughing.

"It's not funny boy."

"I think it is. You have known her all her life and yet you still try and order her around and yell at her. You should have known she would get upset." Zane was still chuckling.

"I know, but I was so worried. I don't know what I would do if something happened to her. She was gone for so long." He knew that he had been wrong to yell at her like that. "I hope she doesn't stay mad at me long."

"It is possible that she lost track of time. I will go and talk to her." Zane got up and walked out into the garden.
