Arrival
Hello! I know the last chapter seemed like it was, rushed a little bit. And I want to say because it kind of, was. And I guess I tried to hint at it, but I didn’t do a very good job, Sesshomaru wanted to get it over with because he wanted to go and do something else. You’ll find out in this chapter, *wink wink.
Warning: Some lemon // lime in this chapter. Don’t like? Skip it.

Rin just blinked in astonishment.
Her mind didn’t even begin to register what happened.
‘Okay,’ she thought, ‘I was just laying here with Sesshomaru, and then he...vanished? Was it a dream?’ She pinched herself and winced, ‘Okay... guess not.’ Rin thought as she sat up on the bed, glanced over the room one more time, and then headed out to the gardens.
When Rin arrived in the gardens she took a seat under her favourite Sakura tree just beside a pond lined by rocks.
It was pure bliss.
The wind blowing her long midnight hair, swaying slightly. The slight splash of the many koi fish in the pond beside her. Petals from the Sakura tree blowing all around her. The thoughts of her Sesshomaru and their wedding soon approaching.
Her thoughts were soon broken when she heard someone say, “May I join you?”

“Hey Kagome,”
“Yeah InuYasha?”
“Do you think Sango would let us borrow Kilala? You know to get us there faster. I don’t want Sheena to get sick.”
“Umm, maybe she will. We’re not too far from her hut. Maybe we can ask her so we can get to Sesshomarus’ caste faster.”
“Alright Kagome, let’s go.” InuYasha said before they turned in the direction of Miroku and Songos’ hut.

“Houshi! Guess who came to see us.” Sango called to Miroku from the front of the hut.
Sango was outside with Kilala when she saw InuYasha and Kagome walking up to their hut. Miroku and Sango got married shortly after the death of Naraku, soon after which InuYasha and Kagome returned to her era for their wedding and mating.
“What are you talking about, My Dear?” Miroku answered stepping out of their hut when he heard InuYashas’ voice yelling from a distance, “Hey Monk! Over Here!”
Miroku looked over in InuYashas’ direction, smiled and looked down at Sango who was still sitting by the hut petting Kilala, “They haven’t come to us in a while. It’s good to see them.”
“It’s great to see you too Miroku, Sango.” Kagome greeted as she walked up to the pair, “Hey, can we ask you two a favour?”
“Yes of course. Anything.” Sango said, looking up at the girl she has come to see as her sister, ‘She has grown so much for the years I’ve known her.’ Sango though and smiled.
“Well,” Kagome started before stooped down to meet Sango eye-to-eye, “Can we borrow Kilala to bring us to Sesshomarus’ castle please? We wouldn’t mind walking, it’s just that we don’t want Sheena to get sick and,”
“It’s alright Kagome, of course you can. As long as it’s okay with her of course,” Sango said looking down at Kilala, who gave a meow of agreement, hopped out of Sango’s embrace and stretched, “Well it’s fine with her, so it’s fine with me.” Sango said to Kagome with a smile.
“Thank you so much Sango. We’ll see you soon.” Kagome said as she hugged the demon slayer.
Kilala transformed just a few moments after that and awaited the miko and hanyou.
InuYasha and Miroku just watched the exchange between the two women without a word, but when it was time to leave InuYasha added, “And try not to give Sango too much trouble monk.” He said with a slight smile.
“Do not worry my friend.” Miroku said with a smile on his face.
InuYasha just turned his back and walked towards Kilala, shaking his head and chuckling to himself.
InuYasha lifted Kagome up onto Kilala with Sheena in her hands, and then jumped on behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her to him. Ready to leave, they waved goodbye to their friends once more and InuYasha said, “Alright Kilala, let’s get going.”
And they were off in the mid-afternoon sky.

Sesshomaru re-appeared not too far from InuYasha hut and walked the rest of the way towards it. He would have just jumped in, but did not want to startle the miko or his Niece.
Sesshomaru was surprised that his half-brother was not outside charging or yelling at him, stepped into the house and announced his presence. When he was greeted by no one he raised an eyebrow and walked through the hut. Although fairly large, it did not take much time for him to search the place.
‘Perhaps they have already left, although tier scents are still fairly fresh in their dwelling.’ He thought to himself as he turned around and walked out the door.

Rin looked up and smiled.
“Yes, of course.”Rin said to Kichou who made her way beside her.
Sitting back against the tree and looking up into the sky.
“Lady Rin,” she started, but paused and looked down.
“Yes? What is it Kichou?” Rin asked looking over at Kichou a little concerned.
“Well... It’s just that... I... What does it feel like to be in love?” Kichou asked, still looking down unable to meet Rins’ gaze.
“Well, it’s hard to explain,” Rin started as she leaned back again the tree again to look up into the sky, “It’s when you know you would do anything for that person. To make them feel be with them, make them feel happy... It’s a wonderful feeling” Rin said as her voice trailed off.
The two just sat there for a while, looking up into the sky from the shade of the Sakura tree.
Kichou finally turned to Rin about to say something when a voice interrupted.
“”Kichou leave us,” Sesshomaru said in his usual bored tone, “I wish to speak with my mate.”
“Yes Lord Sesshomaru.” Kichou stood and bowed, but before she left Rin said, “Thank you Kichou, so much for keeping me company.”
“The pleasure is mine.” Kichou said before she turned to leave the two in peace.
Sesshomaru walked over to his mate who still sat under the tree looking at the blue sky.
“Rin,” He started, “My apologies for leaving your so abruptly.”
“No, no it’s quite alright Mi Lord.” She said looking up at him with a smile on her face.
‘Sometimes I wonder what she has to smile about so.’ He thought as he sat beside her and she leaned her head against his shoulder. They sat like this for some time, just sitting together until the sun began to set.
Rin had now moved to where she was laying on her back with her head in his lap, his hand stroking her hair almost unconsciously. When Rin saw Kilala begin to approach the castle she just wondered what the demon cat would be doing so far away from her master, until the saw bodies on top of her.

After leaving Sango and Miroku, it took the three quite a while to get to Sesshomarus’ castle. It had been quite an easy ride, no demons attacking and only stopping to eat, give Kilala a break, feed Sheena, and relieve themselves.
When they ascended back into the air after a small meal of ramen, there were no more stops. When the castle came into view Kagome was the first to see that Rin and Sesshomaru were in the gardens, so she instructed Kilala to land there.
“Hey you guys!” Kagome greeted before she handed Sheena to InuYasha and jumped off Kilala, InuYasha soon following with Sheena still in his arms. Kilala then transformed back into her small form and went over to rest under the tree Sesshomaru and Rin were under earlier.
Rin now standing with Sesshomaru alongside her greeted the two of them with a hug. Kagome smiled at her and hugged her back. Not expecting a hug, InuYasha was a bit surprised and just stood for a moment, then hugged her back.
“It’s so great having you two here.”Rin said with a big smile on her face.
“I will show you to your room. Have you eaten?”
“That would be great, thanks. But I’m fine maybe-“Kagome started when she was interrupted by InuYasha, “Yeah, I’m hungry. Anyways Sesshomaru I gotta talk to you about something.”
“Very well, Little Brother. Miko I will show you both to you room now.” Sesshomaru said before he turned to Rin and whispered into her ear, “I still intend to keep my promise.” Before he kissed her on the cheek and left with InuYasha and Kagome, leaving Rin blushing furiously.
After the others were out of sight Rin turned to Kilala who meowed before she transformed and took off into the starry night sky. Rin just smiled up at the cat then made her way into the castle and to her bed chambers.

Sesshomaru took a glance at Rin over his shoulder, and then walked through the door.
Making their way down the hall Sesshomaru broke the silence and said, “Miko, this Sesshomaru wishes for you to go with Rin to choose a wedding kimono.”
“Alright. InuYasha, you’re going to be taking care of Sheena tomorrow.-“
“But Kagomeee, what if she cries!” InuYasha protested.
“Then don’t give her reason to.” Kagome snapped back. It would only be one day, what could happen?
“But-“
“Drop It!” Kagome said as she shot him a look that sent chills up his spine.
InuYasha just flattened his ears on his head and looked own, as Kagome slapped a smug smile on her face. Sesshomaru then stopped in front of a door, “This will be your room, and I hope it is to your liking.” He said before he opened the door to a fairly large room.
The room had a bed on the far wall beside a window. A few feet away from the bed was another smaller bed with raised edges for Sheena. On the far right of the room was a sliding door that led to the bathing room. The beds were adorned with royal blue blankets and white pillows.
“Wow.” Kagome said, more to herself, as she entered the room.
“Hey Kagome, I’ll be right back okay?”
“Yeah, sure.” Kagome said, still looking around the room.
“Well Sesshomaru, let’s head.” InuYasha said as he stepped out of the room and followed Sesshomaru to the dining room.

Rin eventually made her way back inside and to her bedchambers. When she entered through the doors of her chambers, Rin was a bit surprised that Sesshomaru was not there.
‘He better keep his promise’ she thought and giggled.
Rin then changed into a plain, light pink sleeping kimono that fell about half-way down her thigh and crawled into bed. Not bothering to pull the covers over, she lay there and thought of what will come. She just smiled and closed her eyes.

“What would you like to speak with me about brother?” Sesshomaru said as he watched his brother practically swallow the food that was brought to him.
InuYasha finished the last of his meal before he said, “It’s about your wedding.”
“Go on.”
“Well, I was saying. Are you sure that you want me there? I mean really? You’ve hated me for so long, and I know that’s behind us now. But a part of my brain still nags me about it.”
“Well little brother, if I did not want you here I would not have invited you. Also, if I still had a grudge against you, you would know it. This Sesshomaru still wonders why you trouble yourself with such unnecessary things.”
“But come on Sesshomaru. It’s-“
“This discussion is over, InuYasha. Now, if you’ll excuse me.” Sesshomaru said before he got up and left InuYasha stunned at the table. He had a mate to get to, and did not want to waste his time with such things that were long behind them.

Well, that’s the end of that chapter. Whiee the wedding is almost here, yeah. But anyways, thanks for reading the story so far, I know it’s not that great. It’s my first fic, cut me some slack here.
Well, if your wondering, yes there will be lemon in the next chapter. And sorry for making you wait so long for this one, I didn’t mean it. Honest, I wouldn’t do that. *chuckles
