Too Much Time On Their Hands

Sesshoumaru got over his mid life demon crisis the same time that Inuyasha gave birth to Shippo’s daughter. It had lasted a whole fucking two years. No one in the house was sane and that apparently was normal for them all. Megan did commit herself for a while to the hospital only to have her mates follow her there to bring her home. There was no escape from them.

Megan, Inuyasha, and Sesshoumaru found an incredible beach house that was perfect for this get away. Instead of buying a new house, they just rented it for a time with Sesshoumaru putting up the usual spells since demons tended to destroy things especially when they were angry.

Shortly after this Megan took off for two months not saying a damn thing to her mates leaving them a note to not look for her until she was ready to come home. Sesshoumaru went ballistic, but Inuyasha saw this coming. Either way it didn’t matter because Sesshoumaru ended up taking off to find her and dragged her back after being gone for the same amount of time. Megan was bound to leave them with the crazy things going on, but soon Inuyasha started wondering what the hell happened to his mates.

Sesshoumaru came home scratched up a bit, but none the worse for wear with Megan frowning at him for hours.

“So you two just take off whenever and leave me. I see how this is.”

Inuyasha stated pissed off he was left behind.

“I was told I could take some time off from everyone.”

Megan growled and hissed out at Sesshoumaru.

“Not that far away woman and you were to come back home.”

Sesshoumaru snarled back at her.

“Excuse me, but who was the one who said I could have some free time in the first place you big liar! It was your idea to move us here for a time so I could wander. You are still stifling me damn it!”

Inuyasha sat on the couch.

“So when were you two going to tell me that you were leaving getting back to the subject at hand here? I got left again!”

Megan frowned.

“I am sorry Inuyasha. I wanted some time away and I should have explained things. You need a soul mate my love. Apparently Sesshoumaru and I being soul mates also make us glued like Velcro. He gets sick and you just feel empty. It is not cool at all. I feel the same, but I have to wander farther out. I cannot just stay here all cooped up. I have been doing this too long.”

Sesshoumaru sat trying to hold Inuyasha who pulled away.

“You both never think of me and my feelings. I think I am going outside for a while and you two can work this out. When you decide you want me you at least will know where to find me.”

Inuyasha stepped out of the mansion ready to go back out to the beach that he had been on every night since his mates left. With surf board in hand, Inuyasha started his long trek out to the call of the tides. Today the waves were perfect for a long day of riding the ocean since that is where he felt free from everything and everyone.

The sunshine was not coming completely out today as it played hide and seek amongst the clouds. An overcast sky was always good if one was looking for the bigger waves since high tide was a friend to a true surfer. Inuyasha saw surfing as an almost religious experience.

Making sure his knife was strapped onto his leg, Inuyasha rushed out into the blue. He was away from his mates who were arguing again and this time he wasn’t going to be the mediator. They would work it out and then all would be bliss again. Inuyasha hoped so anyway since he was tired of being alone and watching his mates rip each other apart. Father explained this happened after being mated for so many years, but Inuyasha did not want to believe it. It just seemed wrong.

Swimming out towards an excellent wave that he had been waiting for, Inuyasha started his wild ride in the clear tunnel of water that almost resembled an aqua den in his mind.

The water churned around him roaring with the untamable spirit of the ocean that refused to bow down even to the young Prince riding and dancing upon its surface.

Eventually even the most graceful and strong fell into its watery depths. Inuyasha was no exception to this as he too fell into the churning abyss coming up less gracefully then he had started out sputtering up a bit of sea water. It was all just a small price to pay for the thrill of the ride.

Inuyasha looked over at his board and angrily slapped the water. It had to break in half today of all days. He had needed this time away from home and by the time he got back from the surf shop with a new board these waves would be gone. He had bought twenty boards and this was the last one that was not in for repairs since he rode so often they never lasted as long as he did.

Swimming towards the shore, Inuyasha carried what was left of his board cursing in Japanese not paying any attention on where he was going ramming right into someone. Standing over the small dark haired person who was also apparently not paying attention to where she was going, Inuyasha put his hand out to help her up.

“Sorry kid, I didn’t see ya. You know this is a private beach and if my brother saw you out here he might have you arrested.”

As Inuyasha helped her up he noticed that the girl was staring daggers at him.

“I am not a kid and I was not aware this is a private beach you jerk. You should also watch where you are going. Do you people not put signs out? I have been running along here for days and no one told me this was off limits.”

The woman stated in a voice that caught Inuyasha off guard. It was then he caught himself staring at the curvy little woman before him.

Running a hand over the back of his neck Inuyasha smirked a bit.

“I guess we could fix the sign thing. I am very surprised I haven’t caught your scent………I mean have not seen you since I live here for a few months anyway.”

The woman with the wild black ponytail dusted the sand off of her as Inuyasha stood and blushed a bit. She smelled really good, but he was a happily mated man. He and Sesshoumaru had found gold with Megan. Most women wouldn’t tolerate their lifestyle let alone them some days. Today was a good example of that fact.

“Well, I guess I need to find another beach to jog on.”

Inuyasha panicked a bit since he liked this little dwarf like woman’s smell. She was so damn tiny he felt like a giant next to her.

“No, it is ok. I want you to stay here so you can jog here anytime you want to. You smell really good and I like you.”

Inuyasha couldn’t believe the words that came out of his mouth as he blurted them out. At that comment Inuyasha’s whole face turned beet red and of course Sesshoumaru came up at the least opportune moment.

“Inuyasha, your presence is needed inside my love.”

Sesshoumaru kissed him square on the lips as the woman looked in shock at the two men.

“Ummmmm……..hello……….aren’t you guys related?”

Sesshoumaru looked down at the little black winged falcon demon woman who was under the impression like most of their kind that she was a human. Either way she would be a good after surfing snack for Inuyasha.

“Hn…….yes……we are. Looks like you broke another board Shiro. When you are done with your mid day meal come you are to come inside.”

Inuyasha wasn’t sure if Sesshoumaru was just being funny or if he was serious.

“Why is your brother kissing you like a lover? You are both too young and this isn’t right. Where are your parents? Do they approve of this?”

At that Inuyasha frowned at the woman who didn’t smell so good anymore.

“I am not a kid either and what do you have against men loving men? I am what I am and if you don’t like it then I guess you can find another beach to run on after all.”

Inuyasha stated and turned to walk away. The woman stood fairly stunned, but huffed and took off. She was not into such strange things. Inuyasha felt weary and was sick of not having a female soul mate like his brother. Sure he was a part of their mating, but sometimes it was lonely not having that connection. He and Megan tried, but it wasn’t the same.

Megan and Sesshoumaru sat with Inuyasha who was terribly depressed. They both knew he felt like the third wheel out.

“Ok so what do you need Inuyasha? I mean what will convince you that you are not just a third? I mean we both love you and heaven knows Sesshoumaru has loved you for centuries.”

Inuyasha sighed and sat back looking at his broken surf board pouting.

“I want a new surf board. I need that freedom. You both are driving me insane and it is the only thing that keeps me free. I know you both love me, but sometimes I miss having a soul mate. I thought it was you Sesshoumaru, but I was wrong.”

Sesshoumaru sighed.

“I told you that once already. I thought you understood that. So what happened to that bird demon? Did you eat her or is she still bothering our beaches?”

Inuyasha frowned even more.

“No I didn’t eat her. She doesn’t even deserve to be my lunch. Insulting me as though we are shamed for what we have. I love you both and if some stupid girl can’t figure it out it isn’t worth the trouble.”

Megan sighed.

“Perhaps we need to all go out for once. You know like to a club or something different for a change. We don’t go dancing anymore and we are not going to be here very long. We have little ones to go back to and hopefully won’t have more of them.’
“The pup you had with Shippo little Lana is driving Shippo crazy already without you there Inuyasha. Father cannot replace Mother no matter how hard he wants to try.”

Inuyasha looked bummed out.

“I miss Lana too, but I needed time away. You know the drill with the post partum depression. Plus this is the last of the messing around for us for a while. How good a man would I be messing around on my mates now after we said no more? Shippo wants me because I am in heat so I have to wait until the heat wears off.”

Sesshoumaru sighed. Perhaps he had been too hasty too.

“I meant with our family going nuts. It was too much and you even had issues with that. It is getting better now that it is over, but who knows what the future holds for us all? We live so damn long Inuyasha and someday we may stray again. It is part of the life of a demon.”

Megan was wrapped in Sesshoumaru’s arms. Apparently they had kissed and made up. From look of things both of them seemed at peace for now.

“Inuyasha come here. We are going to spend some time together and then go out. We must get all of us out of this rut we are in. If I can’t fucking go wander about on my own the least you both could do is go with me.”

Sesshoumaru smiled although he hated going to clubs. Inuyasha though, was smiling.

“Seriously, you will both go with me? You want to go to a club and hang out? All three of us?”

Megan smiled.

“Of course I do I just couldn’t go wandering the same damn places all the time. Did you really think I wanted to leave you both? I love you. I am a cat demon and it is my nature to want to go out in the night to hunt a bit. We will take care of your insulting little falcon first and then work our way up the food chain. We will also go get you some more surf boards. Won’t that cheer you up a bit?”

Inuyasha was beaming.

“What are we waiting for?”

Of course as soon as Inuyasha got up Sesshoumaru and Megan had their beloved pinned to the floor ravishing him until he couldn’t move just to prove how much they truly loved him. Inuyasha was not going to get away with the feelings Megan once had. They all loved each other so it was time for them all to quit moping around.
