Chapter 7
The snow youkai
The first to wake up was Kagome. It was in the middle of the night and it was really cold. She woke up from the cold actually and it seemed to be getting colder by the minute. She tried to wake InuYasha but it was hard to move because he wrapped her very tightly in the blanket. When she finally had one arm loose she poked InuYasha against his chest. “InuYasha, wake up, please.” She said with a shivering voice. He opened his eyes and saw the terrified look in Kagome’s eyes and was immediately fully awake. “What’s wrong?” he asked in great concern.
“Don’t you feel it? It’s getting so cold.”
“Yes you’re right, this isn’t good. I’ll wake the others, you just stay here okay?”
“Hm, yes. It’s nothing bad is it?”
“I don’t know, I have to check it out.”
He walked over to Sango and Miroku in order to wake them. He also woke Shippo so he could stay with Kagome. After he told them what was wrong the three of them walked out of the cave. Shippo went to Kagome. “Are you alright?” he asked “I mean you were stuck for a whole day and night with InuYasha. How did you survive?”
“Haha” Kagome softly laughed. “I was alone with InuYasha before you showed up remember. I can survive InuYasha don’t worry. You need something better to get me down. Uche Uche.” *Ai that coughing didn’t sound good I hope Shippo doesn’t notice it or InuYasha, they would only get worked up about it.* “Uche Uche” *I just hope it’s nothing so InuYasha can come back. I’m scared.*
It was like Shippo read her thoughts.
“Don’t worry I’ll protect you.”
“Thank you Shippo, that’s nice of you.”
Outside the blizzard was still doing his job. It was icy cold and you couldn’t see more then two feet in front of you. The wind came from the North direction and so they went to that way. It kept getting colder and InuYasha worried about Kagome. After they walked a little time the wind began to decrease. *Huh, this couldn’t be good. Why is the wind decreasing? I have smelled that Youkai, he should be here.*
“Hey, InuYasha! What’s going on, are you trying to be funny?” Miroku asked.
“No of course not smart boy, that Youkai was here but now it’s gone. I wonder where he is.”
“Well let’s get back, Shippo and Kagome must be cold because the storm is heading their way.” Sango started walking back.
“KAGOME!!!” InuYasha rushed past Sango.
“What’s wrong with him?” Miroku got standing next to Sango.
“I don’t know I just said we’d better head back because Kagome and Shippo would get cold...because the storm was heading that way... Oh no. You don’t think the Youkai is after them, do you?” Sango looked at the monk in shock.
“Well it’s possible he wanted us out of the way, we’re the fighters of the group. He could easily attack when where not around.” Miroku over thought.
“But how does that Youkai know that Shippo and Kagome can’t fight?” Miroku looked at Sango and they both started running towards the cave.
With an enormous blow the big wooden door slammed open. An icy wind filled the room Kagome and Shippo got closer to each other, to get more protection. The Youkai stood in the cave. He was snow white and had a thick fur. With one move of his arm the little kitsune got blown away. Shippo hit the stone wall of the cave and fell unconscious on the floor. Kagome screamed as the Youkai got closer. His hand stretched towards her in order to pick her up from the floor. She felt icy hand around her waist. She could barely stay awake, his hands where so cold she would die if he didn’t released her soon. At that moment a large shiny object flung alongside of her but she didn’t realized what happened next. She too fell unconscious.
InuYasha sliced the arm of the Youkai off with a single swing. The arm with Kagome in its hand fell on the ground. The furious Youkai now set his attention to InuYasha. He tried to attack but the way smaller hanyou was much faster then the big chubby Youkai. At the entrance of the cave Sango and Miroku appeared.
“InuYasha you have to get Kagome away from there. We will draw his attention to us.” Miroku gave out orders.
“Okay, where’s Shippo?” InuYasha asked.
”At the other side of the room.” Sango replied.
With a huge jump InuYasha landed next to Shippo, he grabbed the kitsune with one hand
and jumped quickly to the other side of the cave where Kagome laid on the cold floor. He pulled her up but got distracted by how cold she felt. He got a bang on his back, he fell to the ground and lost Shippo and Kagome. Quickly he got back to his feet and searched for the two. A few feet away lay Kagome with Shippo on top. He got to them but he got stopped by the other arm of the Youkai. *Fighting is the only option. He won’t let me get Shippo and Kagome somewhere safe.* He drew the Tetsusaiga and attacked. The Youkai dodged the first hit but the second went through its skin and caused a deep wound. The Youkai still tried to get to Kagome. Sango and Miroku, now trying to get the others save got swept away by the huge beast. It ran to Kagome and picked her up again in his only hand. He ran out of the cave and was about to take of and take Kagome with him. That went to far for InuYasha he became furious and went after the Youkai. The Youkai was about to move the frozen girl to his mouth so it would be easier to get away.
“TESSAIGA!!!” With one swing of its razor sharp blade InuYasha had split the Youkai into two half’s. Kagome fell down from about 3 meters high. InuYasha hurried and caught her. She was ice cold and every part of her body (for as far he could see) was blue again. He hurried back into the cave, where the others were waiting. He got Kagome on his lap with the fur and blanket over her shoulders and tried to wake her. She didn’t move made a sound or what so ever.
“K-k-kagome, wake up, YOU BAKA!!! YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP!” he shouted desperate. The others watched from a distance.
He felt her pulse, it was faintly but there was a heartbeat. She was so frail like this it scared him. “Kagome please” he whispered. But she still didn’t move. A tear fell down his cheek, he bowed towards Kagome’s face and put his lips on hers. *They are so cold, why did I leave her al alone I should have known this could happen. I’m so stupid.* Sango, Miroku and Shippo felt like they were to much but they hadn’t another place to go so they staid where they where standing.
Whole night long he sad on the ground with her in his arms, trying to warm her as much as he could. He didn’t care what Myouga had said about warming her to fast if he didn’t do this she would surely die. Sango came a few times to him to give him something to drink. He drank quickly and got then back to staring at Kagome’s face. It was early in the morning when Kagome slowly opened her eyes. It was almost like InuYasha had felt that, he was immediately awake.
“InuYasha? “ Her voice was really faint.
“Come on keep it up. You’ll make it.”
“I’m not sure. I’m so cold and I feel so weak...”
”No you can’t give up just like this, you have to fight. Well make it through.” InuYasha told her. He had to keep her with him after he tried so hard to keep her alive.
“But I’m so tired I can’t.”
“You have to, you can’t leave me alone now, you just can’t.”
“...”
Tears filled his eyes again. “We had harder times, we pulled through that too... don’t you remember?” He tried to cheer her up.
“I just can’t...”
She closed her eyes again, but when he kissed her again she opened them in a little surprise.
“I love you, you can’t just go now. Please don’t give up.”
“I’ll try if you stay with me.”
“Of course I’ll stay, of course...” And with that promise she fell asleep again.

Finally some action :P I've been waiting for this :D Never knew InuYasha could be this sweet
makes me wanna have a bf :P
Ok so last thursday was my bday and it really sucked cause i was to busy with school. But yesterday
my parents kidnapped me and brought me somewhere where they had invited all my friends family and
colleague. I had the best time ever but ended up being terribly drunk lol. Now i got a hangover :P
Time for a quiet evening :P
