transforming
Inuyasha awoke the next morning. He looked over to Kagome and then to the clock. It was 8am the next morning.
“We’re going to end up sleeping this entire time at the rate we’re going.”
He smiled at her still sleeping. She was sweating and her body was hot to the touch. His blood was beginning to work she was very slowly becoming a Hanyou. He knew that she would awake soon and she would be hungry, but she shouldn’t move because of the work being done to her body. He decided that going to cook her some food would be the safest bet although he wasn’t suppose to touch the cooking supplies in the kitchen. He slowly got out of the bed careful not to wake her and got dressed, they hadn‘t even bothered getting dressed the night before. He closed the door slowly and walked downstairs to the kitchen. He opened up the fridge and took out a cardboard carton of eggs. Kagome had taught him how to make eggs and hash browns while traveling. Although he used a fire he had made them really good even Shippo, who had been saying he didn’t want to eat cause it would be gross, even said it had been wonderful. And he had watched Kagome’s mother make fire on the metal box they called a stove so he thought he would be ok to do that as long as he could find potatoes.
“Where the hell are they….”
He set up everything and all he would have to do is first find the potatoes and start. He went through ever drawer and cabinet and then came to the last one and there they were.
“Perfect! Kagome will be so happy!”
He began cooking, remembering every direction Kagome had given him and then made up two plates. Each had a very large hash brown and 4 eggs
“Well, this fills me generally. I don’t think she can eat it all quite yet but if she can’t I’ll finish hers too. More food for me”
He put both plates two glasses of some orange liquid that Kagome liked and the bottle of smashed tomatoes on a very large carrying try and walked back to Kagome’s room. When he opened the door he looked to find Kagome on the bed sitting up and holding her stomach
“Are you alright Kagome?”
“Yes, I’m fine. Just really hungry. Is that food?”
He sense of smell was already improving he walked over to her desk and set the tray down and handed her a plate.
“Yup still warm. Just got done making it. Sorry I had to use the metal box but I knew you’d be hungry…”
“It’s alright, smells wonderful! Thank you….. My mate”
Inuyasha blushed and she giggled. She reached for her fork and began eating like she hadn’t had a meal in days. He then picked up his plate and began eating too. When they finished he was kinda shocked she had finished all of it. And even went as far as to lick the plate clean. Her dog instincts were kicking in too.
“Inuyasha, how long am I going to have to rest…”
“Another day or two. You already have gotten all the instincts and senses but the physical transformation has yet to come and it will take a day.”
“It’s going to hurt huh?”
“Probably, but I wont leave your side other then to get you food….”
“Good”
She laid back down exhausted. Then all of a sudden she whimpered in pain. Inuyasha grabbed her hand and let her squeeze it as hard as she wanted… which in all truth kinda hurt him. She was getting stronger too. All that was truly left was fangs and dog ears. But that unfortunately was the worst part. She loosened the grip she had on his hand and smiled at him. Then the phone rang….
“Who would be calling everyone knows we’re gone…. Or suppose to be gone.”
Inuyasha handed her the phone and she placed it on her ear that she realized was getting smaller.
“Hello?”
“Oh, Kagome honey you are home!”
“Momma?”
“Yes, sorry we left without you it was getting late and Souta and Graps wanted to leave right then”
“Oh it’s ok”
“Is Inuyasha there with you?”
“Yeah, we have a surprise for you when you get home too….”
“Oh, I love surprises! Good thing We‘ll be home tomorrow night or I‘d be anxious”
“Your coming home early?”
“Yeah, it’s not as much fun without you but Souta and Graps needed to get away for a while so I made a deal that they could choose the place if we only went for 3 days…. And they decided to go to a hot spring that has all you can eat meals all day and night.”
“Just like them…. Food is the most important thing. Well momma I‘m really tired so I‘m gonna let you go.”
“Ok honey, oh and I left a whole pot of soup in the fridge for you guys! Inuyasha should like it. Just put it on the stove for 10min and it should be fine to eat.”
“Thanks Momma bye!”
“See you tomorrow”
She handed the phone over to Inuyasha and he hung it up for her.
“Inuyasha can you help me to the bathroom I want to take a shower.”
“Sure”
She moved her feet over to the side of the bed and Inuyasha handed over her robe. She wrapped up and reached for Inuyasha’s hand. He helped her up and with her leaning on he they walked to the shower and they both got undressed. She leaned over, with Inuyasha holding her up around the middle, and turned on the water. It soon heated up and they got in Kagome sat on the stool and Inuyasha kneeled behind her and washed her hair for her. She wouldn’t let him wash her body she claimed she could do at least that on her own. So he washed himself up and helped her rinse off then they got out. He wanted her again but he knew it was to early she was so soar. He helped her with her robe again and they headed back to her room. As soon as they reached the door Kagome collapsed on the floor.
“Kagome!”
“It’s ok, it’s just another part of the transformation…. I think my ears are gone…”
She stood back up and pulled her hair back… her human ears were indeed gone
“Well your human ears are gone but these….”
He rubbed at the base of her newly grown dog ears making her close her eyes. It was making her sleepy.
“These are your ears now.”
“Can you do that again when I lay down. It makes me sleepy.”
“Sure wench”
“Don’t call me that…..”
“Gotta when you still don’t have the strength to sit me.”
They both smiled and he laid Kagome back down in bed. He rubbed her ears and soon she was sleeping again. He was too awake to sleep so he went downstairs to watch the noise box.
“Sleep well my mate”
