They sat there in silence for awhile, Kagome assuming a bored look with out being rude about it, the same look that Sesshoumaru had on his face, but on the inside she felt like a nervous wreck. The door slid open at last to reveal a tall young man, ‘Demon!’ Kagome scolded herself, ‘he’s a demon.’ He was tall, but not so as Sesshoumaru was, and had green hair that came down to his shoulders in a messy length. An emerald leaf was tied to a strip of hair that hung by his left ear. He had a green mark on his forehead that looked like a crescent moon connected into a full circle and on his left cheek were two stripes that held a green spot in the middle. He wore a black vest and black pants that resembled Sesshoumaru’s. (Dose anybody know what they are called? It’s been driving me crazy for a long time!) He reminded Kagome of Sesshoumaru for they shared many features that were alike.

A timid looking boy stepped forward in front of the new comer. This one would pass as human other than the fact that he had long ears that were pointed. “My lord, Lef has arrived.” He said in a squeaky voice that sounded like a girls.

“Sesshoumaru. There appears to be a human in here, is there something wrong with you today?” the demon said in a haughty voice that reminded Kagome of a boy from school that she really didn’t like named Satoshi. Lef walked over to Kagome who gave a slight nod of her head in acknowledgment of his presence. He bent down putting a hand on her head and scrubbing it like a dogs. “What a cute one too! Kinda' reminds me of-“ he was cut off as a tea cup connected with his face.

“While the human is here you will treat it with the same respect you treat my other guests” Sesshoumaru said coldly. Lef barked a laugh.

“What respect?!” this time a dish came at him but he dogged it. “What was that one for?” he asked.

“That one was me!” the fiery red-head huffed, don’t treat him like that, you might be killed!” She whined.

“What do you care, your beloved is still out there.” At that point though the food arrived, and the drunken man gave a hardy laugh and plowed in monstrously. Kagome ate lightly of the food set before her, as she was listening to the conversations around her.

“So why do you have a human here?” Lef whispered to Sesshoumaru when he thought she wasn’t listing to them.

“She is AhUnn’s charge new. He picked her up on our last visit somewhere.” Sesshoumaru said in a stately manner.

“Have you felt it though?” Lef leaned in closer to the stoic lord. Kagome could hear no more of the conversation as the drunken man began making a racket about running out of the good sake.
Mina came up behind Kagome as she saw the girl nodding off. “Is it time to go?” She whispered in Kagome’s ear. The black hair girl nodded. Mina stood and cleared her throat. “My lady Kagome wishes to be dismissed.” She stated loudly.

“Leave.” Was the only response from Sesshoumaru.
Kagome was quickly followed out of the room by her keeper. “What did you mean by ‘My lady’?” Kagome asked Mina as they neared AhUnn’s personal wing.

“I’m in your service, Kagome. What did you think? That I was your babysitter?” Mina laughed. Kagome reddened several notches.

“Actually I did…” she deepened even more. Mina busted up laughing.

“Why would you need a keeper? I mean I am wearing a man-servant’s clothes. Kagome raised an eye brow at Mina.

“You sound like some one out of text book.” Kagome sighed at the strange look Mina gave her at that thought. “A hard bound book with a lot of information about a certain subject.” She tried to explain.
Mina shrugged, “we don’t have anything like that around here. Just Sesshoumaru-sama’s library of scrolls.”

“Do you think I can look at them sometime?” Maybe Sesshoumaru’s Library would hold some clues to her situation.

“I’ll try to see if you can. I don’t know how much freedom you’ll have as a human here, but there is that one in a million chance.” They arrived at Kagome’s door. “I’ll be back in a little bit, I have some things to do.” Mina started to leave. “Be careful, there are a lot of people who think you shouldn’t be here, and they might come after you. Go straight to AhUnn if any thing does happen.” With that Mina took off, jumping onto the roof tops and heading back to the castle.

After that warning, Kagome almost ran straight into her room, almost ripping her door as she slid it shut. At the foot of the mounded bed, she found a silk slip-on robe. She slowly peeled out of her cloths, sighing in relief as she found a comfortable position on her bed. Kagome couldn’t sleep, and stared at an intricately painted scene of a large panther demon and a dog-like demon locked in battle. ‘What a nice scene for a bedroom.’ She thought to herself. A small noise was heard at her door. She sat up in fright, Mina’s warning running through her head.

“W-who is it?” she called timidly. The noise stopped. “Hello?” she got up and edged toward the dragons room. Her door started to slide open slowly a clawed hand appearing. Kagome froze with fear. Suddenly the door was thrown open to reveal the drunken demon.
