Returning To You

Chapter Six

"Shit, what am I going to do until he gets out here. I'm sticky and it's cold out here. Not to mention it looks like I had an accident." Sango looked down at the mess. They were standing next to the car waiting on gramps.

"I think there is a towel in the trunk, it is probably large enough to wrap around you good."

"And where am I going to change? I know you don't expect me to walk back through that crowd wearing just a towel on my ass."

Kagome opened the driverside door and pushed the button to pop the trunk. "Lay down in the back seat and take them off." She went and grabbed the towel. Sango opened a door and took her shoes off. She layed on her back and went to unbuttoning the jeans.

She got them to her hips, she was having a hard time. "Dammit, help here."

Kagome put the towel on the roof and leaned inside the vehicle, not noticing the three guys that had just walked around a large truck. She reached for the pants and started yanking. Her nail scratched Sango's legs causing the girl to shout. "Be gentle dammit."
She growled and yanked even harder, the pants came off. Kagome wasn't expecting the slack and she landed on her ass. The pants went flying out her hands.

Sango saw the girl go down and started laughing. She crawled across the backseat, "Are you okay?" She got out the car still looking down at Kagome's flushed face.

"Yeah, last time I strip you."

A cough made them blush. Kagome jumped to her feet and grabbed the towel wrapping it around her friend's waist. "Wanna hide in the car now?" She whispered feeling her own blush.

"Yes."

Kurama wasn't sure if he should laugh or give the girl some money. His lower half said the money definitely. He heard Yusuke curse and turned to look at his friend.

"Not you again."

Kagome turned to actually take a good look at the men. Memory came back, she'd just thrown drink in his face. Where else had she seen him before. Her eyes landed on the red head next to him. Oh, the thug incident. "Hello to you too."

"Kagome, what are you two doing? Why is Sango half naked?" Grandpa came around the same large truck face red. "In front of males no less. I've raised you better than that."

Sango felt like crawling under the car and having Kagome run over her. Instead she picked up her head finally to look at the old man walking their way. "Kagome did it."

"Oh thanks." Kagome started laughing. "I don't think those are my pants on the ground."

Sango felt her face flush and went to grab the said pants. She felt a pair of eyes follow her every move, she wasn't going to see who the guys were. That would be too horrid. She snatched the pants up, a hand reached out and grabbed them at the same time. She looked up into large green eyes. "I think these are mine." His hand landed on hers and she blushed. "Excuse me." She snatched her hand and the pants away.

"Come on, before you flash anyone else." Grandpa yelled at her, he was climbing in the backseat with his bag.

Sango ran and slid into the passenger side. "Get us out of here Kagome."

Kurama watched the car pull off not being able to move. He knew it couldn't be her, it wasn't possible. No human lived for five centuries. Yet that girl had looked and smelt exactly like Kaede. Even the voice was the same, a reincarnation maybe? The old man had called her Sango.

"What is wrong with you fox?" Hiei looked him over, he looked like he'd seen a ghost.

"Was looking at my past for a moment. Come lets go." He shook himself mentally, it hadn't been her.

Kagome kept laughing on the way home. The look on their faces had been priceless, too hilarious to forget. "Did you see their faces?"

"No, I was trying to shrink."

"One would think me and you had been about to go at it." Kagome could only imagine what it had looked like.

"That is not funny Kagome, as a member of the Higurashi family you have an image to hold up. You can't go around undressing your friends in public. I don't care how close you two are."

Sango buried her face in her hands. That did it, she was never going anywhere with Kagome again. Bad things happened when she did. The drive back was peaceful, except the occasional snicker coming from the driver. She tried to let her nerves settle once more. She looked down at her hand. It still felt funny from when the red head guy had touched her. It made that strange shot of awareness shoot down her spine. There had been only one other person that had done that to her. She was sure that the red head wasn't human, she had sensed that much. But he wasn't the fox youkai from her past.

Kagome tried to stop her laughter but everytime she thought about it, it was funny. Then again it hadn't been her standing there in her panties. She wondered if she'd run into those guys again. She had also noticed someone new was with them this time around. All three men weren't human she could tell that.

They pulled in near the shrine, grandpa got out grumbling. Something about taking the bus next time. He left both girls in the car, slamming the door shut behind him.

"You'd think it had been him showing off his undies." Kagome watched him walk up the steps.

"Please, I don't want to think about it. What if we were to run into them guys again. I'd never be able to live it down." Sango sighed and opened the door.

"Well, what are the chances of us running into them again anytime soon?" Kagome tried to get her to smile.
