Hated but Loved

Chapter 7

A/N:Hey everybody, I just couldn't leave y'all hangin like that so I started writing chapter 7 right away! If you don't remember what happened in chapter 6 then let me jog your memory: Kagome ran off into the woods after Sesshomaru told her that Inuyasha was pregnant. She ran in the woods were Kouga (that bastard) raped and almost killed her. So this is what happens from there.


Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, and Sango all waited in silence to hear about Kagome's condition. Sango looked over at Inuyasha and Sesshomaru and smiled 'he's finally happy' she said as he thoughts drifted back to Kagome. Inuyasha noticed Sango smiling at him and his lover and smiled back at the taijiya. He rested his head on Sesshomaru's shoulder and sighed.

Sensing his mates distress, Sesshomaru wrapped his arm protectivly around Inuyasha's waist."It will be okay koi" he said as he rested his hand on Inuyasha's stomach, Inuyasha smiled as he thought of the pup inside of him."I'm still mad at you, you knew she wouldn't be able to handle it and you being an ass told her anyway" Inuyasha muttered under his breath so Sango wouldn't here them. "You shouldn't worry so much it's bad for them pup" he stated talking about Kagome.

Allowing his mate to change the subject he stared at the door that held Kagome behind it."Can you blame me?" he asked as he burried his face in the crook of Sesshomaru's neck.

The healer came out in the room and cleared her throat "My lords?" they both looked up for her to continue. "The miko will be fine, physically but emotionally she's truely tramatized, as of now I've given her all the treatment I can, Is there anything else that you need from me my lords?" the healer asked slightly bowing to the men in front of her.

Sesshomaru was the first to speak "Tell one of the servents to prepare the miko a room, she will be staying here at the palace untill further notice" he stated as he pulled Inuyasha up from his seat and had him follow him. The healer bowed and lead Sango to see Kagome.

In one of the hallways to Inuyasha's chamber he stopped and looked at his brother. "Don't look so surprised little brother, I'm not as cold-hearted as you may think" Inuyasha could sense the hurt that was hidden under Sesshomaru's other wise silky voice. Inuyasha put his hand on his brothers cheek and Sesshomaru immeadiatly turned turned away from him. "No one ever said you were, I may think that your stubborn and thick headed but no never cold-hearted (sighs) I wouln't have it any other way" he finished rubbing the the mark on Sesshomaru's neck.

Sesshomaru leaned into his brothers touch as he continued "Your mine now big brother, so if you ever think that no one else loves you remeber that I always will ... you laughed at me when I told you this the first time (chuckles) is it stll funny?" he asked letting his breath ghost over his brother's elf like ears.

That caused Sesshomaru to let out a low husky growl as he pulled his brother closer to him. "Do you think this is wise, to infuriate me little brother?" he asked dangerously, his voice filled with lust. Inuyasha smirked "Since when have I ever cared, about making you angry?" he asked teasingly as he softly nipped at his brothers throat causing Sesshomaru to moan softly.

"Inuyasha...Sesshomaru!" they both turned around when they heard Izayoi behind them. Inuyasha let go of his brother who silently protested "this is not the time!" she scolded them, taking about what happened with Kagome. "Mother, may I speak with you for a moment?" Inuyasha aked inncently. He turned back to Sesshomaru "Remind me to finish what I started" Sesshomaru smirked "I look forward to it, I be waiting for you" he mummbled as he finished making his way towards Inuyasha's chambers.

Izayoi looked at her son, eyes filled with concern as he walked up to her. "What is it dear, is everything alright?" she asked as she looked into her sons golden-amber eyes. Inuyasha was a bit dazed as he still looked towards the direction the Sesshomaru had disapeared. Izayoi followed her sons gaze "Did you to have an argument?" she asked still waiting for an explaination. Inuyasha looked towards his mother with a smiling spreading across his child like features. "Sorta, but that's not what I wanted to talk about (pauses) there is no easy way to say this so here goes... I'm pregnant" he said looking at his mother.

She was at a loss for words so instead she took her son in her arms and held him in a long and loving embrace. "I'm happy for you, your father will be pleased (pauses) it seems I was wrong after all" she said as she burried her face in Inuyasha's shoulder. Inuyasha looked at the women below him in confusion "Wrong about what?" he asked as she looked back up at him.

Inuyasha looked at her for an answer "When your father first told me of his plans for you and Sesshomaru to mate... to be honest I thought you two hated each other, but now I see how wrong I was you truely are happy" Izayio said pulling away from him. 'looks like we all thought the same thing mother' the thought sadly.

The healer walked in the room and cleared her throat to grasp their attention. They looked at her bemused. "My lord Inuyasha you must come quickly, it's the miko she has awoken and she won't stop screaming, nothing I have done can calm her" she said breathlessly. Inuyahsa was already heading towards the room that held Kagome, the healer had tied her down to the small bed.

Inuyasha started to untie Kagome and her whole body began to shake beyond conrtol. He did the only thing he could do and carefully but forcfully embraced her as tightly as he could. "Kagome, it's alright now ...it's okay...I'll protect you" he whispered into he ear softly. When he felt her body relax he gently let her go untill his arms were resting around her waist.

He looked down mournfully at the young women sitting on his lap, the healer was right she wasn't the same...she looked so lifeless, so vounerable, so weak and scared. She began to shiver and Inuyasha pulled the cover over her. "Inuyasha?" she asked as if she was noticing him for the first time. Inuyasha just smirked "who else whould it be?" he asked teasingly. Kagome shuttered as a picture of Kouga flashed through her mind, she frowned as she wiped her eyes.

Kagome kept crying as she leaned into his chest and cried in silence, and Inuyasha just rocker her back and forth."Kagome, I know that this will be hard for you but if you can I need you to tell me who did this to you" he said laying her back down onto the bed. She suddered as pictures of Kouga flooded her mind and she cried even harder as she tried to force the words out of her mouth.

Seeing that Inuyasha was about to leave her she quietly whispered "Kouga" Inuyasha wirrled around. "What?!" he roared he was hoping he had heard her worng, but when she began to cry even harder he knew he hadn't. "The wolf did this to you?" he asked in disbelif. Kagome shook her head as she coked back a sob "I wouldn't lie to you Inuyasha" she whispered sadly.

Anger boiled up inside him as he thought about all the hurt and pain Kouga had put Kagome through. "Inuyasha...I'm sorry for the things that I did and said earlier, I might not have shown it but I am happy for you" and with that she drifted off to sleep. Inuyasha smiled at the sleeping girl beside him "There's nothing to fogive, rest things can only get better from here he whispere as he left the room, and with that he was gone.

Inuyasha sped off to his chambers to find Sesshomaru sitting contently on his bed, wearing only his hakama. He was watched the muscles ripple under his skin as he layed down. "Enjoying your self?" Inuyasha asked smirking. Sesshomaru laughed at his brother "Not yet, but I do believe that I was supposed to remind you of something" he said as he patted the place on the bed next to him. Inuyasha came and sat down and looked over his brother's body.

Inuyasha looked down at Sesshomaru's waiting eyes and smirked "Not yet kio, I have one last thing I have to take care of before I come back to you" he whispered into his ear as e kissed him tenderly. Sesshomaru growled "Why do you torture me so?" he asked as he looked into his mated mocking eyes, he frowned. Inuyasha laughed as he trailed a clawed finger over Sesshomaru's jaw line "Because...it's fun" he said rolling of the bed causing his mate's growl to get louder.

Sesshomaru stopped growling when he realized that Inuyasha had his sword with him. "Where are you going with that?" he asked him gesturing towards tetsusaiga with his thumb. Inuyasha looked down at his father's sword and smirked "I'm doing something I should have done years ago" curiosity struck Sesshomaru hard "Which is?" he asked. Inuyasha stopped at the doorway "I have reason now more than hatred to kill Kouga" he said as he walked out of his chambers. Leavinjg his mate on his bed and utterly confused.
