Chpt 7 Insist
He recognized her immediately—she was the little warrior woman who had been with the fair-skinned miko that had caught Sesshomaru's eye. She was at the concierge desk, asking if anyone had seen her miko friend or seen someone leave with her. Gorgeous face, loyal character, fighting spirit...
He liked her already.
“But, no she isn't a tourist! I just told you—we checked in together yesterday and...no, the reservation was in my name and...no, we're not lovers, not that it's any of your business...”
“Perhaps I can help you?”
Sango looked up to see an infinitely handsome man with a sharp jaw and steel for eyes moving towards her. He looked vaguely familiar, but she shoved that thought into the back of her mind.
“N—Yes! I'm looking for a small miko—short, fair-skinned, blue eyes. Have you seen anyone like that around here?”
Inuyasha slowly shook his head, all the while sizing the girl up, parts of him hardening in response. Nice hips and waist...she actually looks just like the other one...
“I haven't seen her, but I can help you look. What did you say your name was again?”
***
“So, what was her name again?”
“Sango. What do you mean?”
“I mean her full name. She sounds familiar.”
“Oh, no. You wouldn't know her. She's not even from Tokyo—she's from Kobe and moved there like five or so years ago.”
This was irritating. All Kagura needed to do was to tell her the girl's goddamned name, but she couldn't even do that right.
Sometimes she really wanted to kill her sister.
As it was, her sister was the reason why they were poor. She had been abducted by some higher ups in the Yakuza years ago and was about to be a Yakuza mistress if she hadn't run away. Her life would have been set—Kagura would have been set—and all the girl had to do was fuck one man for the rest of her life...Things could have been so easy...
But no, she wanted to save her honor, her innocence...so it was Kagura who had to go out and make the real living and do those things her sister should have been doing in order to make sure that they lived the way they were supposed to. And she hadn't found a jackpot yet—she had had to do it with multiple men instead of one...
...until she met Sesshomaru.
There was something about the man with the smoky eyes that she had seen at the bar the other night. He wasn't talking or doing anything in particular—it seemed that her was taking his time enjoying his bottle of sake and contemplating whatever was on his mind. But Kagura smelled money. From the style of his hair to the shoes on his feet, everything about him screamed money in big, bold letters.
And she was going to get her some.
“Come on Kanna. Just give me her name—I really do think I've met her once or twice.”
Kanna looked at her sister with flat skepticism. She seriously doubted that she had ever seen Sango before—they just wouldn't travel in the same cirlcles with Sango being a consultant and her sister being a model and all. But then again, maybe they happened to bump into each other somehow...
“Fukiyama. Her name is Fukiyama Sango. I can introduce you, if you like...”
Kagura's face split into a grin that would make a Chesire cat blush.
“Oh, only if you insist, sis...”
