Ch-6 A Normal Life?
“Hey Kagome before we reach the other’s can I ask you something?” Inu said. Kagome thought she heard shyness in his tone, then she searched their bond and found he was confused. “Go ahead.” “Why? Why did you save Kikyo when she had threatened you and tried to hurt you several times?” “The same reason I never blamed you for seeing her. I want you to be happy, I want all to be happy. Just like the last couple of times I save her like in a cave demon that eats spiritual powers, and after Nuraku tried to kill her. See my not be my friend or have been that good a person but she was when she was living and she helped us sometimes, but I think the real reason is I want everyone to have a chance even in death.” She smiled at him. “That’s why I love you, you are so kind you don’t do things because you have to but because you want to. Kagome flashed off the mating mark, which Inu took great pride in, and told them about Kikyo’s death, and about the journal her father left. They spent some time wondering if her father was the reincarnation of someone they knew. That soon passed as Sango told them the baby should come in the next 2 days if she were right if not sometime in the next 7.
During the month Sango gives birth 2 day’s after Inu and Kag come back, she was right. Sango turned out to be a great mother and Miroku starts to settle down. Key word STARTS. Sango and Miroku go to her old village to raise the child and Shippo goes with to help rebuild and look after Sango and the baby. They learned the Kohaku is now a teacher to poor children as well as a lords scribe and teacher for the lords kids. He writes them a lot and says he loves his jobs. Everything was peaceful, Kagome even made friends with more people, human and demon. She learned that all her friend all over Japan were doing the same, they all said she was the cause along with Sango, Shippo, Miroku, and even Inuyasha. It still was very little people that excepted this but Kagome believed in their hearts, human and demon alike. Inu was still a jerk sometimes like before that last incarnation but he was getting better. He stopped picking fights and openly told Kagome he loved her and he even held her in public for no reason other then he loved her.
One day when Kagome came back from visiting Sango and the others, she find Inu standing outside the house he made her, that they now share, waiting for her and strangely he waited patiently. He didn’t run up to make her hurry along or come to get her cause she was a hour late, something was up. “Inu.’ was about all she could say. “Kagome there is something I need to tell you I have waited a month so that you could get used to things, now I think is a good time to tell you and I’m sure it will made you happy.” Inu smiled at her warmly. “What is it?” she asked, she was more concerned with how he was acting. “Well, you see when we mated are lives became bond to one another.” “I already knew that.” Inu interrupted her. “But what you didn’t know is that you now share my life span.” “What?!” “I’m about 20 in human years but I’ve been around about 203 years and if you minus the time I was bound to the tree I’m lived 153.” “I thought you were around 18.” Inu smiled at her words. “No, I’m older. I age about 1 year every 10 years. So when I was pined to the tree I did age.” “so what does that mean Inu?” “we will be only 50 years older in 500 years when your family is around.” “That means I’ll get to see my family again!” Kagome was so happy she didn’t notices that she surprised Inu with the sudden kiss she gave him, not that he minded though.

What did you have in mind.” “nothing really since you already are carrying it.” “What do you mean?” Inu signed that she didn’t know, but was happy to that he got to be the one to tell her. “Kagome come with.” He commanded. “Ok.” she was a little reluctant to follow but she trusted her hanyou lover. Inu lead her into the forest and to the god tree. When they reached it he picked her up and leaped into the tree. He took her to the highest spot that would support their weight. “Kagome… How should I put this?” Inu paused. He could feel Kagome getting worried. ‘Maybe I should wait to tell her? She only two weeks along, she doesn’t even have a clue yet. Guess it’s cause she doesn’t have a good sense of smell like me.’ “Never mind.” “What?! You can’t do that tell me!” “Keh. I said never mind.” “Inuyasha! Tell me right now!” “For…get…it!” Inu stated. “Inuyasha.” Kagome said very calmly. He knew what was coming and as she said it they both remembered the were in a tree, very HIGH up in a tree. “SIT BOY!” when the beads pulled him down it broke the branch they were sitting on and they both started to fall. Kagome was so scared she knew the beads would pull Inu all they way to the ground, but he would be fine he was a hanyou. On the other hand she was human and a fall for about 2.5 stories high would severely hurt or even kill her. “IINUUYYYAAASSHHAAAA!!!” she screamed. Inu could feel his mate’s fear and he was scared that he might lose her. When he hit the ground he was up in a heartbeat ready to catch her but someone already had.
