Too Much Time On Their Hands

Inuyasha awoke calm in the inpatient ward recovering in the Tashio private swing of the hospital since their whole family was in there for something or other every other day. He was still in a lot of pain, but was feeling a lot better than last week since they had been in there for a long time. They owned most of the hospital so it was easier for Akiyoshi to keep them at the hospital where he could keep an eye on them than having his family at home in case something went wrong. These organ transplant surgery’s for demons were really complicated and rather frightening since most of the time the patient rarely survived once the organs were this badly damaged.

Out of the three patients Megan did not quite mentally recover from her pain since she had actually felt the whole damn surgery without being drugged even though she was not cut up. She felt every cut, the cauterization, and the pains of healing. They might as well have stuck her in there with her mates and added her kidney to Inuyasha while they were working on the two men. Dr. Hojo saw this on rare occasions between mates, but it was starting to become a trend amongst younger matings because Sesshoumaru started a trend with the blood sacrifices so now all the mates were doing it. They shared even more blood than necessary amongst each other so they could eventually have some privacy on occasion. It gave them the powers of the Alpha of the pack to keep things on a fairly equal footing.

The only thing that was bothering most of the staff at the hospital was that the Emperor himself had not awakened yet. Sesshoumaru was still in what most would consider a small coma and it was making his subjects nervous. They were not ready for a new King and frankly didn’t want one. They liked Sesshoumaru’s way of ruling. He didn’t tell them how to live their lives, he didn’t want to be bothered with a bunch of whimpering, and basically he let them do as they pleased as long as it didn’t piss him off. For demons this was very simple and the rules were too. Stay out of the way and only complain if it was necessary.

The big rule for everyone who knew Lord Sesshoumaru was for all subjects to only complain to Emperor Sesshoumaru’s advisors since that is what they were there for. The Emperor had no time to see the millions of demons who would come clamoring to him and he had enough on his mind as it was. The man wanted to have a normal family life or as normal as the King of All Demons could. If his advisors failed or if the problem was too complex he would just destroy both. It was that simple and that way there was no stress.

Megan kept looking over at Sesshoumaru and no matter how many times she was scolded for it she laid with him in his bed moving all the beds around to be with her mates as they were supposed to be. This sleeping in separate beds was stupid and had to be fixed. They were mated damn it. You are supposed to sleep in the same bed as your mates or you won’t sleep. How many times had she told Akiyoshi this and the evil nurses? Megan slept next to Sesshoumaru with an arm around him as if willing him to get well so she could see those beautiful golden eyes again. He was fully concentrating on healing so his whole focus was on this task and nothing else although he loved the attention he was getting. This was a safe place and with his mates close to him he was secure enough to do this.

"Megan you are going to get in trouble again."

Inuyasha mumbled grumpily. He was still sore and tired. Out of all of them he felt completely beat up even though he knew they all felt the same thing, their personalities were still different so they all reacted to the pain differently.

"I don't care. I can't leave him right now or you. I cuddle with you and then with him. It doesn't matter because I just can't sleep in that damn bed by myself. I have to be with you both and they keep moving the damn beds apart the assholes."

Megan growled out as she shoved the bed back in place so that all three beds were stuck together after getting out of it then moving in between her mates arranging legs how they were supposed to be. Even if she couldn't move anything else the legs were not forbidden.

"Happy now you brat?"

Inuyasha stated smirking then groaned as another pain hit him.

"Yes now shut the hell up and take your pill so I can sleep too since you keep waking me up. I fucking hurt. I watched the whole thing, felt it, and I still do. I have shoved those weird healing powers into you both and now I am tired."

Megan stated since she was so frustrated. She could not use them on herself and the dumb pain medicine Akiyoshi gave them wasn't working worth crap. The guy was a quack she just knew it. Why else would he allow that mean nurse to take over who moved them apart all the time?

"Megan you hurt a lot. You felt it all. Why didn't you say anything? Why must you be as stubborn as we are?"

Inuyasha stated sadly as he could feel her suffering.

"Because I wasn't the one in the operating room getting carved up ok and we are mated or did you forget that too? I left my body, now that I came back to it I feel like telling it to go to hell if I did not need it right now."

Megan growled out. Inuyasha started laughing a bit then whimpered.

"Stop being funny bitch...... It hurts....... Fuck......"

Inuyasha groaned as he hit the button for the nurse. Megan groaned at that. Why the hell did Inuyasha have to call for her? She was an evil demon if she ever dealt with one and she was a Smother. A Mothering hen who smothered the hell out of the three of them. Why not just maul them and get it over with?

The evil bear nurse came in that was a part of Dr. Hojo's staff. The elderly nurse was grumpy as hell and was not happy that Megan moved the beds again. Megan rolled her eyes knowing that the same old shit was going to happen and she would be blamed as usual. The woman was asking to receive cat scratch fever so she would go away because Megan had it with this woman.

"Young Lady you are getting to be quite tiresome. I had to strap you down last time so you would not move the beds nor get out of them. Young Dr. Hojo set you free, but he is soft because he doesn’t know what is good for you. Do we need to do it again?"

This time Inuyasha growled. If he was able to get up he would attack the woman. He hated this nurse since she kept pulling them apart. It hurt when they were not together. Did this woman not understand that they were mated? Did she totally forget or was she going senile?

"Don't move her from us old woman. She is in more pain the further you set us apart then if you just leave us be."

The nurse moved the beds around ignoring Inuyasha calling them all children who didn’t know what was good for them. Megan's was in the middle then lifted the weak girl into her own bed as Megan pouted like a small child. This was so stupid.

"You can't have your vitals done in the same beds."

The nurse stated as Megan growled crossing her arms at this injustice. Akiyoshi came into the room and looked at the beds this time smirking a bit.

"Livonia leave them be. They know what is best for them and they are recovering quite well. We don't need to take any more vitals for today since I have all I need Livonia. Mates need to be in close quarters to heal properly.'
"Still Megan you will behave and you will not move the beds again by yourself. You are not supposed to be out of your bed. I will strap you down with those horrific demon weakening cuffs if you keep this up. You won't get better getting up out of that bed unless I say so. All of you are still supposed to be on bed rest for another two weeks. If you get up again Megan I swear I will allow Livonia to not only cuff you, but bathe you."

Megan's horrified face was enough to get his point across. It was amusing and kind of a sexy thought if he were the one doing it rather than the nurse. In fact that is what he would do if he did not worry about the idea of being killed by the two demons next to her.

"Doctor she is impossible. You spoil the girl. This child should not be with these young men. She is too young to be mated to them. In my country this would not ever be acceptable. They are a bad influence and this girl needs a firm strict hand."

Livonia stated in her thick Scandinavian tongue. Akiyoshi sighed since Livonia had been mated to the same man for years and bears were different than canines as well as cats. They did not live in packs so they didn’t understand the need for pack members to be in such close quarters. The female of bear demons raised the cubs and then they left home to fend for themselves. It was a harsher life and nothing like pack animals at all that depended on one another as a family for years. Trying to explain that to a bear demon though was damn near impossible and the older they were the more set in their ways they would become.

"She is mated to them both and you will not move her from them. The whole reason she is here is because of them. I explained her symptoms to you before now please Livonia let me speak with my patients. I told you that they are pack animals and you really need to study up on our kind more since there are so many of us here. We are not all from the old country and you know how my kind thrived. Arctic wolves ran with Polar Bear Demons for a time so please let me deal with this."

Prince Akiyoshi stated softly. If Livonia was not such an excellent nurse he would have killed her since he could not have a bear influencing his canine patients. She was very smothering although very well trained with dealing with his more uncooperative patients who tried to cause him hell. Livonia left the room in a huff mumbling about young people not knowing what was good for them.

It was time to allow other nurses less stringent to come take care of these three although Megan would have the young ones on staff wrapped around her little finger. Megan already talked her way into having candy, donuts, puddings, and other things that were not good for demons to be brought up from the cafeteria with Inuyasha's help. The two of them were like two bad spoiled brats. They even had a stash hidden somewhere in the room of these things for Sesshoumaru when he woke up. They refused to tell anyone where they hid all of their treasure either. No one including Livonia who had a nose like a bloodhound could find it.

"If Inuyasha would not kill me since he is doing quite well after the surgery I would spank you for your behavior Megan. You are a bad girl. You have corrupted my staff and Inuyasha you are not being very helpful. You are not supposed to encourage your mate to get herself into trouble."

Inuyasha pouted for a second then remembering who could give him the pain medication he gave the good doctor his most flirtatious grin with those huge golden eyes pleading at him with that cute puppy dog pout.

"Doc I am in a lot of pain do you think you could..........."

Akiyoshi frowned at this attempt at flattery.

"No..... Not even if you got naked on your knees and pleasured me like you promised last time you naughty boy. You were just given pain medication a half hour ago. You have to give it time to work and you don't have any patience. Now I am going to check your stitches and no funny business this time. As much as I enjoyed your groping under the table, you should not do such things during my examinations of you or I will find someone else less willing to put up with you."

Inuyasha wiggled his eyebrows since that had been fun.

"Wanna see me naked then Doc. I see you are a closet pervert."

Dr. Hojo laughed at that.

"I am not a closet anything puppy breath. You are trouble and if you keep this up when Sesshoumaru wakes up I just might let him know how bad you two have been."

Megan smiled at Inuyasha.

"Sesshoumaru likes us to be naughty. In fact he loves it right Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha smiled widely as he leaned back looking at the handsome doctor with new appreciation since he did always think Akiyoshi was good looking. That was part of the reason he had a shit fit the first time he met him when he was wooing Kagome.

"You are kind of hot Doc. You sure you are not just looking in there to see what I have to offer you? I mean you seemed to enjoy the view last time we were together."

Akiyoshi after looking at the healing progress smirked sliding his fingers suggestively over Inuyasha's chest then as the pup was looking down to see what he was going to do next he did the oldest trick in the book flicking his finger under Inuyasha's chin flicking his nose causing the pup to flip his head back. Dr. Hojo then grasped that full bottom lip as he brought his face very close to Inuyasha's then whispered into one of those silver ears.

"You shouldn't tease me Inuyasha. I might just take you up on your offer and take your Megan as well. I am going to look over your mate now and my beautiful puppy if you have not forgotten I have seen you naked many times. I know about all your charms and I do like them very much. I am not blind or stupid. I am just not going to play your game so if you want more pain medication I suggest you behave yourself or I will be groping back next time only to leave you suffering for the rest of the night."

Inuyasha pouted and crossed his arms. Still he wasn't going to give up completely. Akiyoshi did have a fine ass and it was still fun to tease the Doc enough to get him to blush sometimes. Prince Akiyoshi Hojo blushed a lot too even when he fibbed saying he wasn't really doing that claiming it to be some sudden rash leaving the room stating he had to go take care of it.

"Ok let’s see why you have not woken up big guy."

Akiyoshi stated trying not to laugh at the game these three were playing on him as he checked Sesshoumaru unable to stop himself from admiring that fine physical body and tried hard not to lick his lips at the thought of this gorgeous creature desiring him. That would indeed be a fantasy come true. Covering up his sleeping beautiful demon Emperor, Akiyoshi pulled himself together and then went to check Megan.

Megan sat pouting still on the bed looking adorable as hell. Her hair was a mess and her son brought these ridiculous slippers that looked like giant white fuzzy funny bunny slippers for her to wear. Then she had on the hospital robe with paw prints all over it in different pastel colors and a pillowcase with Sesshoumaru's cartoon image on it under her head from home they got from Hot Topic. They each had one of these crazy things since Megan was indeed a cartoon fiend. It was funny as hell and Livonia was right in one thing. The two Inu men robbed the cradle when it came to the very young beautiful demon woman since in demon society she was barely past mating age. The two men mated her quickly and were able to only because the demon decided to keep some of her human age although she had not ever been one. Since she had given birth to Jimmy it figured she was old enough to have pups and therefore old enough to be mated. Megan however in mind was still just a pup so like Tsukiya she had a lot of childish tendencies.

"I am fine. I wasn't cut up or anything so what is the big whoop? You don’t need to check me out Doc I have no stitches."

Megan stated with a pout as Akiyoshi checked her vitals just for fun and smirked.

"You know why and you know that you might as well have been in the operating room being cut open. You felt it all and still do. You are healing with them trouble maker and will continue to do so until they are completely well. Now lay back and stop making us all crazy."

Megan did as she was told as Akiyoshi checked her vitals and sighed at the fact he would only get glimpses of that gorgeous little body. He wanted Megan so bad he actually hurt from it and Inuyasha was growling at his arousal. The boy wanted to kill him for even touching his female doctor or not. That arousal was from another Alpha and it was not welcome near his Megan.

"Hush up Inuyasha or I will carry out my promise."

Dr. Hojo growled softly. Inuyasha shut up quickly whimpering a bit. He did not want those pain pills taken away.

"Ok. Well everything looks fine. Now go to sleep and I will talk to you both later. You will not deal with Livonia any more as long as you both behave."

After Akiyoshi moved the beds together once more he left closing the door. As soon as the coast was clear Megan grabbed the legs of her mates once again putting them over her kissing them both then got ready to lay down. Inuyasha tried not to laugh at her. She was adamant on this one thing.

Sesshoumaru woke up suddenly also not letting his mates know yet as he smirked a bit at Megan who looked like she was in time out as she sat pouting grumbling at Akiyoshi.

"I ain't tired Inuyasha. This is so stupid. I thought I was, but how the hell can I sleep when that is all we ever do plus that is all they want us to do so I don't wanna do it. I want to stay up damn it all so I am gonna anyway."

Megan pouted as she turned on the TV to watch cartoons.

"You and Tsukiya are obsessed with cartoons my love."

Inuyasha stated as he was starting to get into these dumb anime things and some of the cartoons she watched. He always liked Looney tunes though so that is what they were currently watching. Even Sesshoumaru was becoming addicted since there was nothing good on except the news for him and no one else wanted to watch it saying it was just stupid human stuff anyway so why bother? He told them because he was ruling only to have his mates laugh at him. Sesshoumaru didn’t think that was funny until Megan recited the rules and then it was kind of funny.

Besides, Sesshoumaru didn’t rule over the humans and didn’t want to so why watch it considering Megan was right until a few stupid demons that Sesshoumaru would remember the names of made fools of themselves on national television. They would die soon enough so as soon as he was well he had a list of people to kill for the humiliation and for allowing them to live after the embarrassment to demons all around the world. So the news was another thing that was forced upon Inuyasha and Megan who thought that they were surrounded by tyrants again.

"You two are trouble."

Sesshoumaru stated softly as he smiled at his mates. He was a bit stiff and sore. He also had to go to the bathroom. It was so damn hard to remain still sometimes and not start laughing when Prince Akiyoshi checked him out like he did. He could smell that arousal on the doctor and it was flattering.

"I need to call for the nurse."

Sesshoumaru went to reach for the cord as Megan panicked grasping his arm. Both of his mates looked at him like he lost his mind.

"No! They will make us turn off our Looney Tunes and take away our cool stash of goodies we got. I will help you. I don't want evil mean Grandma Hell to come back Sesshoumaru. You know if the Doc found out you woke up a few days ago he would have a fit with you. You are so mean to trick him like this."

Megan stated firmly and then smirked a bit. They were indeed trouble makers.

"Well then I could not catch him checking my fine ass out. That boy wants us all so bad especially you Megan. I am trying hard not to tear his throat out or rape him scaring the living daylights out of the pup when he is looking at me like that. I will behave and unlike you two I know how to stay out of trouble. Now help me up."

Sesshoumaru stated wincing a bit in pain. Megan helped him into the bathroom and Mr. ‘I am too proud for your help' made Megan close the door this time. The last two times he had to have her at least stand for him to use to lean on so he could do this.

Megan waited patiently outside the door whistling as she made Inuyasha play lookout for them.

"You know Sesshoumaru they are going to be pissed off they did not get a sample of that golden flow you pain in the ass. The medical department loves to review your pee like they might find the fountain of youth in there or something. With you being an Emperor and shit they will be even more pissed off since you are like supposed to be the example for all of us. You are not being a good example Mr. I am Ruler and you people suck so don’t bug me."

Inuyasha started laughing and then tears came.

"Megan damn it all quit making us laugh. I told you it fucking hurts."

Sesshoumaru was even chuckling a bit as he flushed then came out of the bathroom after washing his hands. Then she pulled him in bed as Inuyasha took his heart monitor off his finger putting it back on Sesshoumaru's. Then the cuff that checked the blood pressure was back in place as they used the two rolling IV metal poles as a crutch. They had been doing this for the last few days.

One of them would help the other out and since they all were connected no one knew the difference between the three of them switching arm cuffs or even the finger monitors that checked their vitals. No one was even aware Sesshoumaru had been awake for as long as he had been. One night they even tried to have sex. That was a mess, so that was not done again until they healed.

"Akiyoshi is being a big baby about my pain like I need him to check me out the pervert. I wasn't even there with you guys. I mean I was, but not like in the room being cut up. I still have two kidneys unless you two did something to me in my sleep."

Sesshoumaru smiled as Megan helped him back into bed then situated them except this time she put her legs on theirs then held their hands.

"I still say this sucks. If I move from this bed to cuddle with either of you he will get those damn cuffs. What a jerk. He let that evil hell woman put them on and you didn’t even stop them you mean Alpha."

Megan stated pouting.

"He just wants us to get better Megan. Don't give the Doc too bad of a time since you know we can cuddle later when everyone is busy not bothering us. Now where are those cookies you stashed?"

Inuyasha lifted his head and pulled out the cookies from the pillow case. They set up a really good spell in the room so if they wanted something it was behind them in their pillows. Jimmy was awesome to sneak in as much junk as he did.

After closing the magic stash Inuyasha passed the cookies over and some yellow cake zingers for Megan. Then he pulled out a packet of Ho Ho's not giving a shit as they munched. Megan then pulled out the bottles of Sobe's for them all in her stash of stuff in the pit of goodies since hers were kept cold. Inuyasha had all the room temperature stuff, Sesshoumaru kept the hot stuff like the mini pizzas, and she had all the cold stuff including some beer that Jimmy brought. Megan loved Sobe Lean Cranberry Grapefruit. It was so good, but the guys still liked the green tea the best. They even had a bottomless pit for the trash set up and if some idiot wasn't paying attention they would get sucked into it like Miroku’s old wind tunnel. It looked like a window and was only there when they conjured it.

"Looney tunes again. Ah well, could be that stupid Squid Billy show on adult swim. That was pathetic. Why the fuck do they have to make Wiley Coyote look so stupid? I mean I get the whole idea, but a canine shouldn't have to suffer this humiliation from a bird with the brain the size of a pea."

Inuyasha stated indignantly.

"Ummmmmmmm Inuyasha it is only a cartoon."

Megan stated with a smile. Sesshoumaru frowned.

"I agree with Inuyasha. I think Acme is a company owned by Naraku if it were real. They are so mean to Wiley and nothing there works. Fucking dog haters. I would not want to deal with the law suits those people would have if that place was real. Why do they always make the canines look stupid in this show? At least in Tom and Jerry the bulldog rules over Tom. That is how things should be."

Megan rolled her eyes. Soon though Daffy came on and they all loved watching Bugs Bunny make Daffy look stupid. It was funny as hell. Duck season, wabbit season, so it was so funny and even funnier when Bugs called people idget maroons.

"I love that Duck, he is so stupid and he spits all over everyone like it is no big deal. Bugs Bunny is just too cool for that dumb Duck."

Inuyasha stated smiling as they watched the cartoon. Soon though after laughing and whimpering a bit every time for it they heard noises in the hall. That same woman was screeching about something again. Didn’t she ever sleep? It wasn’t like they were making that much noise. Inuyasha panicked thinking it was Livonia coming to steal their stuff. Inuyasha refused to give up the food for anyone since this was heaven in comparison to the month old raw steak they had to suffer that had been in the freezer forever with lukewarm veggies.

"Shit! Give me the stash guys before they take it from us. Conjure up the void so we can get rid of this stuff."

Inuyasha stated as he grasped the cookies trying to throw the cookies back into his stash so they wouldn’t get swiped. Sesshoumaru told him to hush.

"They are not coming in here. They are going to the room next door. It seems like our plan on the 'void' is sending things flying though the room next door. If it was not for the fact the hospital is full we would not have this problem. We need to use plan B."

Sesshoumaru stated then took the trash and with a flick of his wrist burnt it all making it disappear. Still the smell for a moment was horrific.

"That is terrible. I still think we should just let it all fly."

Megan stated pinching her nose as did Inuyasha. Sesshoumaru chuckled and rolled his eyes only to cover his own nose.

"Do we have a plan C?"

Inuyasha asked as the smell lingered and they tried not to laugh since it hurt. Sesshoumaru pulled Megan over to him ignoring the pain.

"We can come up with one, but for now get your ass over here Inuyasha."

Inuyasha scooted all the way over grimacing then moaning a few times in pain glad that the stupid IV cord was long so he could lay against Megan as the three of them cuddled together for a bit.

Akiyoshi watched on the security monitor laughing a bit to himself. These demons thought they were so clever and they cracked him up. It just made his job a bit more interesting and he would only keep them there for another couple of days. Sesshoumaru could not play dead forever and eventually he would have to give up this game. It was fun to watch them trying to be so sneaky, but the three of them needed rest or they would never heal properly. Ayame walked into the booth looking at the three bad patients in room 771.

"At it again I see. Those three are funny as hell. The whole staff adores them. You know we are going to have a hell of a time letting them out of here when our staff wants to keep them to make sure the surgery went as planned. You know if they could they would keep them for entertainment purposed for a full year. That void that was throwing things into Ms. Smith's room was pretty damn funny."

Prince Hojo smirked.

"They are not the only ones my dear. You have to admit you want them just as bad as I do and if you could keep the three of them you would do it too. Problem is they would all three end up eventually killing everything in sight. We are not dealing with children, but three very deadly very powerful demons. Now how is Mr. Livingston doing?"

Ayame and Akiyoshi got back to work. No matter what the demons thought the three of them could not just leave after organ transplant surgery was done. It would look very strange even to the humans plus this was only the fourth demon surgery like this and Akiyoshi would be damned if he would let anything go wrong. They all three had to be fully recovered before they went home.

As Prince Akiyoshi Hojo left the monitor on his way to see his next patient hoped if there was a God out there listening to him that this time there would be no problems with the transplant. The last two demon transplants had not gone well. The organs were rejected and a year later the patient died only to have her mate die soon afterwards. No one could bear that with these three. Things had to be perfect and Akiyoshi would make sure it stayed that way even if it meant strapping all three of them down with those cuffs to insure their own safety. He would not be the only one doing it either since their whole family felt the same way.

Later that evening the three demons in the monitor finally fell asleep and Akiyoshi sighed knowing he was going to be the one to go in to turn off the damn TV since they forgot. He just hated the idea of the nurses seeing what he wanted to see when those gorgeous creatures were naked under all of those hospital gowns wrapped around each other. Perhaps a small peak would be acceptable as long as he did not linger.
