Is Naraku’s Last Curse a Blessing?

That morning Kagome wake to find the faint mark Inu had made on her last night and him watching her touch the mark as if it were not real. They were both happy to start off to morning with a passionate kiss. Soon they dressed and went down stairs to find Miss Higurashi waiting to give them the talk she promised. Inu and Kagome were sitting in the living room waiting for Miss Higurashi to start her story. When she started they both listened as if she was miles away. “Kagome… your father, Amon, had great spiritual powers. I saw many things back then with him, many both good and bad. He never let harm come to me, your grandfather, or you and Souta. He was the one to purify the well house, once. Just a few months after Souta was born, there was a great evil trying to come out of the well, your father stopped it. That is what lead to his death. That day he said that you would travel into the well and find your true love and face great evils in the past, and that you are meant to be there.” She paused for a minute. “Dear have you noticed that thing are changing here? Once there were no demons maybe a spirit or two but never any demons. But now there are, that flesh eating one those one’s at your cultural festival, and lately there have been more, but they are kind something is changing history for the better. That something is you and Inuyasha.” Kagome gasps and Inu is stunned.

Miss Higurashi looks at them then starts to talk again. “This is Amon’s journal he said to give it to you when it was time for you to live your life, but you must promise not to read it till after your first child.” “I promise mama.” Kagome said as her mother handed it to her. “And Kagome we will not forget you because you are part of our life as we are a part of yours. Now go, you both have work to do in the feudal era.” Miss Higurashi smiled as Kagome cried hugging her. “I’ll tell Souta when he gets home from school. And father already knows but can’t stand goodbyes that’s why he left. I’ll tell them both you said goodbye.” Miss Higurashi said weakly. “Thank you mama for everything!” Kagome cried out.

Kagome could not stand to extend the goodbye any longer for fear she would brake. Soon her and Inu were down the well on the other side Kagome chanted something Inu did not recognize “Zen bow kar int ka lee mak fa no ti.” “What was that? Some kind of spell?” Inu asked. “It was a chant Kikyo told me the night before we destroyed Nuraku when I was taking a bath. She said it would seal the well for good and if I had not gone back she would make me and seal it herself.” Kagome informed him sadly. “That Bitch! If she had tried I would have ripped out her throat!” Inu said. He felt the shock Kagome had from his statement. He smiled at that, and the fact they could now feel what the other was feeling, he decided to explain before they went back to Kaede’s and the other’s. With a smirk he talked “A few days before we reached Nuraku I went to Kikyo to talk with her about what I decided to do. (Kagome was still in a bit of shock and a little angry that he went to her) I told her that I would not go to hell with her because she is not Kikyo she is the undead nothing more but I told her that I was happy that I finally realized what kind of person she was and that I was happy that I never did live my life her. I told her that after Naraku was defeated that I never wanted to see her again because I wanted to live my life with you because you excepted me no matter the form and could except me the way I am.” Kagome was speechless so instead of replying she kissed him like they had never kissed before. “Your mom was right. You changed me, Koga, and Sesshomaru. Koga no longer kills human but helps them along with his tribe. Sesshomaru saw your bravery time and again which helped him accepted Rin by his side. Did I tell you that was the reason he brought Kohaku back to life when the shard was removed? It was to pay you back, a thank you, of sorts. You gave me back my heart that I lost when my mother died. Keep being your wonderful self the rest will fall in place, and if it doesn’t I beat the shit out if it ok?!” Kagome laughed and shook her head yes. They started for Kaede’s but not before another kiss so about 5-10 minutes later they were off.
