“Miss?” a strange voice said to Kagome, “Miss, wake up” slowly Kagome opened her eyes to see large doe-brown eyes in her line of vision.
“Who are you?” she asked rubbing sleep from her eyes. She yawned and stretched and took a closer look at the other girl. Kagome went pale when she saw the long cats’ tail and fuzzy ears sprouting from the strange girl. She realized then that she was in no dream, but she had come to another place.
“My name is Mina; Sesshoumaru-sama assigned me to you.” The girl was not wearing the same type of uniform that Kagome had seen earlier in the day. This one was a light tan color, that matched the color of the girls’ hair, tail and ears, The thing was also a very different style from the others, as she had only a wrap covering her chest and a fuzzy skirt that ended in about the same place as Kagome’s did. She had tan wraps around her wrists and ankles too, and in all reminded Kagome of a small mountain cat or something along those lines.
“I don’t need anyone to be assigned to me! I just need to go home.” Kagome said grumpily. She turned her back on Mina, looking for somewhere to go.
“You can’t leave now. Sesshoumaru has ordered me to take care of you, and not to let you leave. AhUnn has really taken a liking to you, and Sesshoumaru-sama is good to his favorite pets.” Mina said grabbing one of Kagome’s wrists, and dragging her the way in which the large dragon disappeared. “First we will get you a bath, then we will get you some appropriate attire, then you will get your room, and by the time that’s done dinner should be ready!” Mina said in one huge breath Taking another she began again, “Sesshoumaru-sama has never let a human walk his halls in all the time that he’s been here so you better be good at dinner cuz he invited you to his dining table tonight, don’t get used to it though, this is probably a one time thing cuz he hates humans and would most likely rather kill you, by the way, what’s your name?”
Kagome was a bit taken aback by the abrupt manner in which this girl spoke, obviously she believed in blunt truth. “I’m Kagome, What’s wrong with the clothes I have on? You are wearing something more revealing, Mina was it?” Kagome fired off at the girl. “And since when did I become a favorite toy or whatever? Last time I checked, you can’t own somebody.” Mina stopped and looked at Kagome funny.
“Where do you come from where ther is such a law? Slaves and forced servants are appropriate an expected of a lord in Sesshoumaru-sama’s rank.” Mina looked the taller girl up and down, “What rank are you from and where, your clothes and posture don’t give me a single clue.” A light went on in Mina’s head. “Oh yes! You need new clothes because you are a new rank in the castle, why you are so high in rank here can be thanks to AhUnn, you are very special, I think.” With that there was no more talk as Kagome was pulled along to the baths, well they were hot springs.

After Kagome was thoroughly bathed by Mina, to her large embarrassment, she was given some odd cloths to wear. It was an outfit similar to Sesshoumaru’s but deep blue with a dark green lining and obi. The new shoes she wore were black and fit nicely. They were much more comfortable and flexible than her old school shoes. She sat alone in her new room, looking at the beautiful screens put up around the walls, sitting in a mound or sill blankets and pillows. She had learned that she was AhUnn charge and was to be treated like a minor lord staying with them. There were two doors, one leading in to the court yard, the other led to where AhUnn was staying. She couldn’t believe what had happened to her; it just had to be a dream. Her hair was still flowing down her back, which was the one thing she had refused to do, braid or cut her hair. She smelled like lilies now, thanks to soap that Mina had insisted on scrubbing on every inch of Kagome’s body to get rid of ‘the nasty human smell’.
