Chapter 3

Last time:

"Hey whats the matter?"

"You will now die Bitch!"

The present:

Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru turned their head toward the direcation of the voice coming from the woods.
Sesshoumaru nose flared when scents of anger, hatered, and a little hint of lust of 3 youkai reached him.

Sesshoumaru growled,"Do you smell that?"

Inuyasha growled in turn,"Yeah"

Kagome began to shake uncontrolable. When she heared the 2 growl, Kagome knew trouble had found her
once again. Not thinking twice, Kagome ran straight at Sesshoumaru and right into the shocked youkai' arms.
Wrapping her arms tightly around Sesshoumaru, Kagome sobs into his shirt.

Whispering so softly,"Don't let them get. I don't want to die. He will kill me like he killed him."

Sesshoumaru almost could not her even with his youkai hearing. When he heard his words he had feeling its
the people they have been searching for.

Sesshoumaru did not turn his eyes from the woods, "Inuyasha be on guard. These may be them."

Inuyasha nods his head. Steps forward towards the woods a stops about a few feet in front of Sesshoumaru.
He flex his claws and goes into a battle stance. Sesshoumaru wraps his arms around Kagome and moves her
behind him. Shielding Kagome's small, trembling form with his own tall, powerful form. Sesshoumaru stood tall
and unmoving. His face remained blank with no emotions showing. Ready to face what was to come.
Sesshoumaru stares intently at the woods when the 3 youkai jumps out and lands in front of
Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, and Kagome. Kagome clings tighter to the back of Sesshoumaru's shirt. Sesshoumaru
looks over the 3 youkai appearances.

One in the middle was shorter than the other two with pale skin,a lean body, long black hair reaching down to his
waist twisted in a braid, and
cold black eyes with a crazy look in them. The one on the right was tall and have a big bulky form, in no way
muscular. He was also bald, a long ugly face with black beady glaze over eyes. He was just plain ugly.(A/N: sorry
had to put that. He He He ;P). Standing to the left this one was taller of the three. He had big bulging muscles, dark
looking skin, short purple hair, and sinster red eyes with bloodlust in them.

As Sesshoumaru looks them over, he breathes in their scent and finds lingering traces of someone that causes him
to growl silently.

*Inuyasha* Sesshoumaru contacted Inuyasha telepathicly. *Do you smell that? The small lingering scent that is
coming from them?*

*Yeah. I wonder, could it be Him ( cap on purpose)?* Inuyasha continues to stare down the 3 youkai.

Sesshoumaru mentally snareled, * Without a doubt.*

"Well well well, what do we have here?" said the smaller but obvious leader of the three, "It seems our little
pray has found us some weak playthings for us to kill." He smirked as he talks.

'Weak..' Sesshoumaru smolder inside with anger but did not let it show.

"Hey shithead, who do you think you are?" said Inuyasha angerly.

"My name is Hiten." He straighten tall as his small form allows. "This youkai on my right is my younger brother,
Manten." Hiten indicates to the ugly youkia. Manten puffs out his chest with pride.

"And on my left is a good friend of mine. This here is Ryuketsu." Ryuketsu crosses his arms in front of him and
an evil smile appears and a lust for blood shows in his eyes.

"Now if you be so kind and turn over that pretty little girly that is trying to hide." asked Hiten. "We have no need of
lowly youkai and his weak hanyou brother." Manten chuckled at his brothers statement.

Inuyasha fumed and starts to flex his claws with anger. Wanting to shred them to pieces, but he restrained himself
waiting for a signal from Sesshoumaru. Inuyasha knew that Sesshoumaru was angry was well by that statement.
No one called Sesshoumaru lowly or weak and lives. Inuyasha knew Sesshoumaru would not kill them just yet, not
until he got all the information he needs. So Inuyasha had to keep his temper in check a little while longer.

Now Sesshoumaru is extremely angry. His eyes flared with sudden fire but he had to get more info from them
first. Keeping rein on his growing beast wanting to tear them apart that is threating what it is his.

'His? Now where did that thought come from?' Sesshoumaru wonder to himself. "I'm not coming possessive of the
girl. I just meet her. There is no way. I don't even know her or like her.' Sesshoumaru debated with himself.

"I suggest you leave before I remove your head from your body. I do not take kindly to being insulted."
Sesshoumaru told Hiten

"We'll leave when we get the girl. Now hand her over." demanded Manten.

"Now Manten, there is need to shout." Hiten turned to his brother. "We will get the girl, just be patience."

Manten looks at his brother, "But Hiten, The Master said..."

Hiten hits Manten sending to the ground. "Quiet stuipd. Let me do the talking."

Ryuketsu just stood quietly gazing to where Kagome is. He inhaled breathing her scent of fear. He became high off
of her scent. He wanted to test her blood and flesh to see how wonderful it really tasted. Sesshoumaru saw the look
in Ryuketsu's eyes and knew Ryuketsu will soon loose control of himself. Sesshoumaru had to end this now.

"Master? Who is your Master?" asked Inuyasha. Sesshoumaru took his cue from Inuyasha.

Sesshoumaru allowed a small smirk to appear. "How pathetic. Three full-bloodied youkia being controled by another.
You are really a disgrace to yourselves."

Inuyasha gruffed out a laugh. Kagome wonder if this Sesshoumaru has lost his mind.

'Does he have to make them mad? Is he asking for a death wish?' Kagome panics.

Hiten turns quickly back to face Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha. Anger swells up into his eyes."How dare you say such
a thing to me. I was being nice and was going to let you live. Now for calling us pathetic and a disgrace you will
pay with your life."

Manten picked himself up from the ground and postions himself to do combat. Glee filled Ryuketsu' eyes for finally
he will get his fill of bloodlust. Ryuketsu brought out two daggers from their sheathes behind his back. Kagome
peers out from her hiding place behind Sesshoumaru. Ryuketsu sees Kagome, brings up one of his daggers to
his mouth and licks the blade while smiling at her. Kagome's eyes widens and shudders at the display.

*Woman* Kagome hears a voice inside her head.
'What? Who?'

*It's me* Kagome raises her eyes up to look at Sesshoumaru in shock. *I have no time to explain. You need
to let go of my shirt and listen to what I say. No questions. When we make our move, you are to run to the car and
get in. Do not look back or help. You'll only get in the way.*

Kagome got mad at his statement but decide to follow his order. She released Sesshoumaru's shirt and prepared to
run. Sesshoumaru took his stance and waited for one of them to strike first. Hiten summons his weapon, Shomei, a
blade halbard. Wraps his hand around the staff of the weapon, Hiten goes in for the attack.

Hiten goes straight for Sesshoumaru while Manten goes for Inuyasha. Ryukestu stayed where he was until he found a opening. Sesshoumaru was more than ready for the attack. He ran forward to meet the attack and whips out his acid
whip towards Hiten.

"Run now!" Sesshoumaru yelled to Kagome.

Kagome took off running towards the car. Behind her, Sesshoumaru and Hiten was locked in battle. Each fendind the
others attack. Inuyasha had his hand full with Manten. Even though Manten may not look like much (ugly), he had
enormous strength. Ever time Inuyasha throws a punch at Manten, he gets thrown back by Manten. Inuyasha knew
he had to try something to bring Manten down.

"Try this on for size, Tubby!" Inuyasha jumps into the air and releases his attack "Soul Iron Cleaver!)

Claw shaped daggers of light appears and hits Manten. The attack hits their mark and makes cut marks on Manten's
form. Manten screams in pain and retaliates with his own attack. Forming lightening in his mouth and releases it
at Inuyasha. Inuyasha jumps out of the way but just barely. Manten and Inuyasha continues to fight.

Meanwhile, Sesshoumaru and Hiten is looked in a deadly battle of their own. Where ever Hiten swings his Shomei
lightening followed. Sesshoumaru would always dodge the attack and return one of his own with his acid whip. They
would sometimes get close enough to throw punches and kicks at one another. Sesshoumaru kept going in and
backing off from Hiten looking for some sort of weakness.

'He's strong and defintely well trained. I haven't had this much of a challange in a long while.' Sesshoumaru seemed
to be enjoying himself. Suddenly a scream pierces the air. Sesshoumaru knew that it belonged to Kagome and that
Hiten and Manten were just diversions. Sesshoumaru tries to finish off Hiten but Hiten just blocks every attack thrown
at him.

'Damn, we were played a fool and made to forget the other. This is what they had wanted. Now our only led to finding
out about what we want is about to die.' Sesshoumaru was disgusted with them and himself.

Kagome ran as soon Sesshoumaru move forward. She ran at full speed towards the car paying no attention to what
was happening. Just before Kagome could touch the car handle a arm wrapped around her neck and pulled her back.
Kagome could fill a muscular chest pressed against her back and knew that it wasn't one of her new-found
protecters. Kagome could not scream because of the arm wrap around her neck. She squirmed. kicked and bucked
hoping to get her attacker off. Kagome's fear intensify so much that it totally overwhelms her own scent.

"Yes, struggle, fight, and become scared. I like it when my prey fights and increases the fear they already have.
I love it. It makes me feel high and full of lust for it makes me think of what I can do my victimes. The fear in their eyes
and the sound of their pounding of their hearts and the smell of their blood. Oh yes, I'll enjoy killing you."
Ryuketsu told Kagome all this causing her fear to spike even higher.

'Oh god. I don't want to die like this. I've got to get away!' Kagome scearms in her mind. 'Come on Kagome, you
have got to fight him,'

Kagome struggled and lashed out even more to get out of Ryuketsu's grip. Kicking her foot back, Kagome
managed to get luck and hit a sensative spot. Ryuketsu grunted with pain and his grip loosened. Kagome slips
out of his arms and takes off down the road. Giving chase, Ryukestu catches up quickly to Kagome and pushes
down to the ground.He kneels down on top of her.

"You little bitch, I'm going to make you suffer that." Ryukestu growled angerly.

Bringing up one of his daggers and brings down with force tight into Kagome's arm. Pain so bad racks through
Kagome causing her to scream out loud. Ryukestu's dagger dug into Kagome's arm and blood spurts out of the wound.
Looking at the blood spilling from the wound, Ryukestu licks his lips and bends down to lap up the blood.

"Mmmm..Sweet. Yes this blood is wonderful. I think I'll slit your throat and drink your blood will you die slowly."

Kagome watched Ryukestu raised his head up to look into her eyes. Bring his dagger to her throat preparing to
slit it, Kagome closed her eyes and yells out loud.

"I don't want to DIE!!!"

A bright blue-silver light came out of Kagome and engulfed Ryukestu causing him to cry out in pain. Turning Ryukestu
into dust. The others cease their fighting when the light shown. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha looks on in amazement
while Hiten and Manten look on in fear when they saw what happen to Ryukestu.

"Sesshoumaru," Inuyasha leaps next to him," What the hell just happened?"

"I don't know Inuyasha. But I do know one thing is that light is something to be weary of." Sesshoumaru replied.

Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru wasn't paying an attention to Hiten or Manten but to Kagome. The light retracted and
returned to Kagome who had passed out from that sudden burst of power. Manten walks up to Hiten and looks to
him for an answer to what that was. Hiten could not believe what just happened but he knew what that power was.
Hiten knew he had to report this to his Master.

Hiten turns to Manten, "We need to report this. Come lets go before we get the same treatment as Ryukestu."

Both of them turns to the woods and ran off, disappearing. Sesshoumaru turned suddenly when he no longer
smelled or felt Hiten and Manten. Sesshoumaru longed to go after but knew there would be no point in doing so.

"Cowards run swiftly when faced with danger." Seshoumaru turns once more to study Kagome lying on the ground
unconscious.

Inuyasha cautiously walks to Kagome and kneels next to her. He tenderly puts a hand on her check to see if she is
still alive. The strong smell of blood penetrates both of their noses. Inuyasha looks up to Sesshoumaru from his low
point.

"What are we going to do with her now? It's obvious shes in need of medical attention." Inuyasha said to
Sesshoumaru. He rips some fabric from his shirt and use the strip as a make-shift bandge. Tying it tightly around
Kagome' wounds.

Sesshoumaru looks at Kagome for a moment longer before deciding.

"We will take her with us back to H.Q. She defintely knows something about the person we are searching for. Because
if she didn't and then they would not be after her. Plus I want to know what that power and light was."

Inuyasha nods his head and starts to put his arms under her still form but before he could Sesshoumaru pushed
him out of the way. Sesshoumaru reaches down and picks up Kagome, cradles her close to him.
This shocked Inuyasha to know end. Not because Sesshoumaru picked her up but he pushed him out of the way
and was now cradling gently like she was made of glass. Sesshoumaru then turns to Inuyasha as he still stare back
at him in shock.

"Come on lets get out of here. You drive." Sesshoumaru order Inuyasha. He swings around and stalks to the car.

Inuyasha stays down in shock for a few moments before getting up and following. Sesshoumaru was already there
and waiting impatiencely for Inuyasha to open the back door of the car. Inuyasha opens the door and Sesshoumaru
climbs in with Kagome still in his arms. Inuyasha close the door after the two are in and walks around to the drivers
side. He opens the door and gets in. Slams the door shut, puts on the seatbelt and start the car. Inuyasha ajust his
seat while he looks up into review mirror and sees Sesshoumaru looking down at the girl as if he is trying to figure her
out. Shaking his head and looking forward, Inuyasha puts the car in gear and drives toward H.Q.

Ryukestu: Bloodshed
Shomei: Lightening

Inu comes out dancing around the place
Inu: Yeah Yeah Yeah I got to kick butt
Tenyo:(sweatdrops) Inu will you please stop that
Inu does not hear Tenyo and continues to dance and chant
Tenyo: Kagome could you....
Kag: Osuwari!!
Inu crashes down to meet the ground
Sess snikers at the sight
