"Bus stop, Bus goes...."
First off, Gomen ne.
I know I was supposed to post last night, but I have to be honest. I've had a lot on my mind, so it kinda sorta just slipped by me! Whoopsie-ma-daisy!
Really, though. The whole not sleeping thing is gettin to me. Having trouble with the chapters I wrote, as I edited them today. Not really up to par. I'm a little disappointed with them. So please bear with me. I know we're so freaking close to the end, but I don't want to rush this. To be honest, I'm in this position because I posted more than I had intended to. I should only have thrity two chapters right now. That would've given me a lot more time to perfect my lemon and the ending.
Well, I'm only putting up two tonight.
But they're good. It's the reunion we've all been waiting for. Unfortunately, the lemon will have to wait for tomorrow. I know it sucks, but I can't bring myself to post it as it is. I'm doing this for you guys, really. Do you want a good lemon or just a moldy old lime?
That's what I thought!
To clear up one thing. Rin says she and Sess haven't seen each other in nine years, Sess tell Kagome he's only been gone for eight years. Did I mess up? Well yeah, but that's the correct times.
What I failed to put in was that Sess left almost a whole year after Rin broke it off. So while for everyone else, it's only 8, for Rin it's actually more like 9. Sorry about the confusion. That's what I hope to avoid in this last few chapters.
Glad you all liked my Vegas story. The Keaunu Reeves one't 't as funny, though. He's in a band called Dogstar, and i think he plays bass or something. Well, my mom and a friend went to go see him at this club for a concert. After the show, she waited around (like the groupie she is) hoping to meet him. So he comes out, and orders a drink, talks to a few people, but pretty much no one esle seems to acknowledge the fact that he's famous. My mom loses her nerve when she sees how nonchalant everyone else is and it about to leave. Then he starts to leave, walking towards the front door. In doing so, he passes right by Lady, and in a moment of pure desperation, she reaches out to grab the back of his jacket to get his attention....and instead winds up with a what I've deemed "a handful of county goodness"
Since it's so damn crowded, he doesn't even turn around, and he leaves.
Lady sits there duundeunded that he didn't even notice, cuz I when I say handful, I meant a handful.
Wow, mom sure had a Miroku moment there didn't she?
Go Lady! Grab that ass!
Anywho...
Here's the chapter

Now I've got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
Now did I take you by surprise
I need you to see
This love was meant to be
**K POV**
I was fidgeting so much, I could practically see the steam rising from Sess’s head. No doubt I was annoying him, but I was too excited to care. I was only a few blocks away from home! A home I hadn’t seen in a whole year, with my family and memories.
“What about Sango? Is she there? Does she know I’m coming?”
He shook his head, waited a moment and then nodded.
“What does that mean? She’s there?”
“I answered your questions respectively. She is not at your home, but she does know you’re coming.”
“So where is she?” That pushed him over the brink.
“Cursed Girl! If I spend another minute with you, I swear I wil-”
“You don’t have to Sess, we’re here!!” I cheered. He sighed in relief. He sure was fun to mess with.
“Good, now get out.”
“Aren’t you coming with me?” I asked as I started to open the door.
“NO!” He said harshly. I flinched at his tone and his expression seemed to soften. “No... I just haven’t seen my fiancee in days, and I’d like to get back to her. If you don’t mind.”
“Is that her?” I asked, pointing to the petite black haired woman running down the shrine steps.
The look on his face was adorable to say the least. He looked like a little puppy, seeing his master come home after a long day at work. It lasted only a split second, but I knew I hadn’t imagined it.
He quickly exited the car and strode hurriedly towards her.
“Sesshie!”
As soon as she reached him, he pulled her up by her waist to meet his lips. It was kind of funny to see just how small she was compared to him.
I felt like crying just watching them. I could only hope my reunion with Inuyasha would be as sweet.
After they had kissed for what seemed like forever I walked over to them. He set her down softly and she ran over to me.
“Kagome! Oh, it’s so good to finally meet you! I’m Rin.”
She embraced me tightly and I couldn’t help but return it. She so eso excited to see me.
“And you too.” She stepped back, clasping my hands in her small ones. “ Thank you so much for sending Sess out to find me.”
“Of course! I couldn’t possibly have my dream wedding without everyone being as happy as I now now could I? Plus, I needed you to be my maid of honor!”
I balked at this. I hardly knew the girl and she wanted me to not only be one of her bridesmaids, but her maid of honor?
“R-Really? Me?”
“Oh, of course! You don’t understand how important you are to all of us, even me. I know we’ve only just met, but from all of the stories I’ve heard about you from Sango and everyone else-well I wouldn’t have it any other way! We’re going to be sisters after all!”
There it was again! These two sure had confidence that everything was going to work out. I had to admit it certainly did wonders for my confidence. If these two could work out their problems after nine years apart, thisht nht not be as hard as I had expected.
A voice broke me out of my thoughts.
“Kagome?!” I looked up to see my mother at top oop of the stone steps, with Souta, my grandfather and even Buyo at her side. I rushed past Rin and ran up to meet them, tears running down my cheeks the whole way.
“Mom!” I collided with her in a big hug that had us stumbling back a few steps. She took my face in her hands and kissed my cheeks over and over again.
“Oh, my baby, my precious little girl is home! I missed you so much!” After another big bear hug, I turned to Souta who lifted me up in his arms and swung me around.
“Small fry, you’re back!” After hitting him playfully, I latched myself onto grandpa.
I was so happy to see them, the people who loved me unconditionally after all I had put them through. After another few minutes of happy tears and whispered “I missed you” s I felt a hand rest on my shoulder.
I turned and found myself looking into the cool brown eyes of Shiori Shingetsu.
The last time I had seen her was the day she had told me about the Shikon no Tama. The day I’d found Inuyasha and Kikyo beneath the God Tree, and the day I’d pushed her son out of my life.
She had been in a stage of recovery then, her eyes still somewhat shadowed by the darkness of the years before, her face still a little worn.
Looking at her now was like seeing a completely different person. Her face was beaming, her eyes clear and bright and her smile rivaled the sun. She looked so alive.
“Kagome. I’m so happy you’re home!” She exclaimed, and pulled me intwarmwarm embrace.
I was shocked for a moment. I hadn’t expected her to be so forgiving of me. Not after what I’d to to her son. But there seemed to be no hard feelings, just genuine happiness in seeing me again.
I hugged her back, the tears flowing incessantly, saying over and over again that I was so sorry for what I’d done. She smoothed over my hair as she spoke.
“Don’t be sorry for anything Kagome. We understand your reasons, and more importantly, he understands. All that matters is that you’re home.”
Home.
The Shrine.
My family.
Rin and Sess.
Shiori, the Houshi’s and Sango.
Inuyasha
Theses things ran through my head was was bombarded with hugs and small tears from Shippo
and warms words and pinched cheeks from Faye.
I looked around at each of the people who had come to welcome me back. And even though I’d never felt as happy as I did right then, I could not deny that there was something missing, a major part that kept me from feeling like I was truly home again.
But soon, that would be fulfilled. I would be complete, whole, at peace-all the things I had left to look for had been right here all along. Now the final piece of the puzzle of my life was about to fall into place.
After some time we all gathered ourselves inside the house, and for the first time in a year, I was able to make coffee for the people I loved. Faye watched my every move, trying her damndest to get a peek at my secret ingredient.
Shippo was sitting at the kitchen table, he and Souta rooting through my purse for goodies. ‘Good luck, guys! Like I’d really hide anything in there?’
My mother and Shiori were discussing wedding plans with Rin as Sesshomaru sat between the gushing women, a grimace on his face with Buyo sleeping comfortably on his lap. I almost felt bad for him. Almost.
After we had all settled down with our mugs, the questions began.
I swear I must’ve talked for two hours straight about my little “adventures” on the road- from my experience at the truck stop, to the time I’d had to taser the hell out of the hooker who tried to steal my car. Then there was the incident with the puppy I’d found sleeping underneath my car at a rest stop, and my journey to find his owners. That had been an adventure! I showed them my wigs, and pictures of the places I’d stayed and visited, as well as my apartment in the city.
Not long after I’d finished my story, Mushin Sango and Miroku walked in, and then began yet another tear fest. Sango hugged me so tightly, I could just barely mutter out that I couldn’t breathe. Then she pulled away, punched me in the shoulder calling me a selfish bitch, and hugged me again, telling me never to leave her again.
After we’d double slapped Miroku for his “patent-pending ‘hug and grab‘ technique”, we all settled down again. This time, I asked the questions.
They filled me in about the changes while I had been gone. From Shiori moving in with Naraku (which she brushed profusely about) to the renovation of the Fukai Mori. I noticed how they seemed to be avoiding the subject of Inuyasha.
As soon as my mother had finished telling me about Souta’s new girlfriend ( which he also blushed profusely about), I was about to ask them about him, when Rin spoke first.
“Well now that we’re all caught up, we have a lot of planning to do, don’t we Kagome?”
“Huh? What planning?”
“I mean for tonight! I’ve already got a pretty good idea of how it should go. Inu’s at work right now, and he’ll be off in- oh! Three hours! We don’t have much time!”
“Rin, time for what?” Sango joined in and grabbed my hands.
“What do you mean, time for what? Don’t be dumb, ‘Gome! We have to get you ready to see
Inuyasha of course!”
I stared blankly at them. They seemed to have some kind of plan me tme tonight. Together they pulled me to my feet and began to drag me up to my room. I just barely caught the grin on Sess’s face as he watched me.
Once in my room, they sat me down in my bed and locked the door. Then they proceeded to root through my suitcase and the box of clothes I had with me.
While they argued over what color brought out my eyes the best, I looked around my room. It was exactly the same, not a single thing had been moved since the day I’d left. I smoothed my hands over my pillow, a faint smile on my lips. I felt something tangle in my fingers, and found a strand of silver hair. My heart skipped a beat as I examined it closely, and I sighed dreamily, closing my eyes.
“Kagome! Please tell me you at least slept a little on the way here!”
I nodded and continued to play with the hair.
“Well then get your ass up and let us dress you! Come on, We don’t have that much time!”
“Not till you tell me what you’re up to! I have a right to know!” I shot back.
Sango tossed her hands up in the air in frustration as Rin rolled her eyes. They came and sat next to
me on the bed.
“You know Kagome, when I saw Sess for the first time after nine years, he tricked me into coming to the restaurant to meet a client. And then he just walked in the door and it was the most perfect moment of my life. I mean, he had a whole plan, and it was so romantic! We just thought it would be nice if you could do the same thing for Inuyasha.”
I nodded smiling.
“So what’s the plan?” The two girls giggled excitedly. Sango began.
“Ok, so me and Miro were keeping Inu really busy today so he wouldn’t come here and accidentally
see you. Meanwhile, everyone else was here to welcome you home and all that good stuff. Well, anyway, we dropped him off at work before we came here, and told him that none of us was gonna be able tve hve him a ride home”
“That way, he’ll have to take the bus home! And when he gets to his stop, guess who’ll be there, in the place were you guys first met!” Rin continued.
I had to admit I was pretty impressed. They sure had things worked out, whereas I’d had not a single idea of how go about seeing him again.
“Okay, I like it! So why are we dressing me?”
“Because we want you to look cute.”
“And why isn’t three hours enough time for that?”
“Cuz you smell like a band and you’ll have to take a bath or something! Phew!” Sango said, holding her nose.
I pushed her playfully.
“I can’t help it, I worked in one.”
“Right, whatever. anyways, once you get all clean and pretty, we have to set things up at his apartment.”
“Huh? Set what up?”
“You know, like his room. Some flowers and some candles and all that girly shit.”
“Sango, why would I need that?”
“Because! Don’t you want your first night with him to be romantic?”
“First ni- Wait a minute, are you saying I’m staying there?!” I said panicking.. What the hell were these girls thinking?
“Well yeah! You think he just wants to kiss ya and that’s it? Don’t be naive, Gome!” After a second, it finally hit me.
“Sango...do you have something to tell me?”
She blushed for a moment and looked away.
“Maybe.”
I gasped and covered my mouth with my hands as she flushed an even deeper shade of red.
“Sango Taijya, you little slut!”
“Hey!! I waited for a while!”
“How long?” I asked smugly.
“Ummm....a couple months.....”
I gasped again
“Harlot!” She growled at me.
“Hey, we’re in love, okay?!”
I hugged her tight and kissed her cheek.
“I’m happy for you, sweetie!”
Rin cleared her throat, trying to get our attention.
“Three hours ladies.” My face paled.
“Wait! What if that’s not what he wants just yet? I mean, I haven’t seen him for a year, and he was kinda nervous the first time we kissed, and don’t you think this is moving a little too fast?”
Sango giggled and shook her head.
“Gome, you have no idea just how long that boy’s been wanting you! If Kouga hadn’t showed up that night, you’d be a sexpert by now! He tells Miro everything, and well he kinda...passes it along to
me.”
I blushed.wasnwasn’t too hard to believe that Inuyasha wanted me like that. After what we did under the Goshinboku, I’d have to be a idiot not to. I thought about Sango’s words.
“Yeah...if Kouga hadn’t been there...I guess a lot of things would be different right now.”
“Oh, Kagome, but things are different! Everyone’s life has changed for the better It’ It’s good that your two thi this time apart. You’ve both had the opportunity to grow up and now, whether you think so or not, you’re both ready for this. Tonight’s the night you start your lives together!”
With a nod of my head, I found myself being ushered into the bathroom. I took a shower, taking care to wash the smell of smoke out of my hair.
Meanwhile, Rin rushed to Inuyasha’s apartment to “set things up“ whatever that meant....
Sango stayed behind to help me get ready, more mentally than anything else. We argued over what
I was going to wear, and finally, I won out, choosing just a plain skirt and top.
Two hours later I was descending the stairs, fully dressed and nervous as hell.
As I took my first step, all eyes were on me. I walked down slowly, trying to calm my racing heart. It seemed like everyone knew what was going to happen tonight, that they all knew the importance.
I felt a bit awkward with Inuyasha’s mother knowing this, not to mention my own mother and grandfather. Thank the Gods at least Shippo and Souta were oblivious....at least I hoped so!
Sess stood as I neared where he’d been sitting. He took my hand and kissed it politely, commenting that I looked beautiful, Miroku following suit.
Rin ran in the door at that moment, her hair somewhat wet. She looked somewhat distressed.
“Oh, Kagome! You look so nice! But, it’s raining outside!”
“It’s alright, I’ll just bring an umbrella, that’s all.”
“Well I found one there, so I brought it with me.” We all suddenly realized what she’d been holding slightly behind her back. I felt my heart race even quicker just at the sight of it, while Miroku and
Sango laughed quietly.
“What? What’d I do?” I walked towards her and took it from her hands.
“You did good.” I replied. I looked up and met Shiori’s eyes, silently questioning if it was alright. She nodded, her eyes misty.
My mother stood suddenly and asked me to come to her room with her. I followed her, Shiori close behind.
I was a bit confused. What was going on now?
She closed the door behind us and motioned for us to sit down. Then she opened a drawer and pulled out a black box. She came and sat next to us and placed it in my hands.
“Kagome, sweetie. We...we have a pretty good idea of what’s going to happen tonight. I’m not going to expect you to come home.”
“MOOOOM!” I was bright red in milliseconds. Shiori placed her hand on my shoulder, laughing.
“Oh, come now! It’s a part of life! That’s why we called you in here. We felt you should be prepared.”
“Ok.” I said, my voice cracking.
“Open the box Kagome.” I pulled off the lid and gasped at what I saw there.
“It’s...Dad’s rosary!” I picked the prayer beads up, rolling on of the polished white fangs between my fingers. I hadn’t seen this necklace since my father was alive.
“’Gome, I want you to give this to Inuyasha. I put this on your father on our wedding day. And he never once took it off. I wanted him to be buried with it, but he made me promise, before he died, to give it to you, so you could pass them on to your beloved. I want you to be happy, Kagome, and I feel that these beads will bring you happiness and luck in your life together.”
I nodded and fought the urge to cry. This rosary...in a way it’s was my family’s version of the Shikon Jewel. A representation of love, a tangible symbol of devotion. This would be my first gift to Inuyasha, and maybe someday...we could pass it on to our own-
“Now, this is the embarrassing part.” My mother began. My blush came back with a vengeance.
“ou kou know, ‘Gome, your first time is gonna hurt.”
“Mom...”
“Oh, listen to her, Kagome. My first time with Shoji was so painful, I could hardly walk the next day!”
“And you’ll bleed a little too, so keep a towel handy! But don’t be disgusted, it’s natural, and it’s only a little blood, nothing to be afraid of.”
“Inu’s not afraid of blood, he’s got an iron stomach! But you do need to be careful and take things slow! Shingetsu males are known for many things, and well...they tend to be a little...bigger than other men. And as the mother of two of them, I can tell you they are no exception”
“NO.” I whispered, my face buried in my hands. I felt like my cheeks were about to explode, I was so mortified. Not only was I having the talk with my mother, I had Shiori telling me Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had big-
“Not that you should be afraid of it, mind you! Once you get used to it, it’ll be worth the pain! Trust me, Shoji anusedused to be at it almost every night! We had to be really quiet though, the boys are very light sleepers.”
“But you don’t have to worry about that just yet, you can be as loud as you want to! Now about protection, I would prefer you to be careful, but you do what ever you feel. Your father and I didn’t use a condom our first times-”
“Me neither, but Shoji did withdraw before he...you know.”
“Not a very safe or reliable method, but again, this is up to you. It’s exhilarating though, being so risky!”
“Oh, I agree. Now there is the subject of positions, but that’s something the two of you should decide on. Remember communication is key! You need to tell him what’s good and what isn’t, and if something hurts you at all. No need to be shy!”
“Please Stop!” I finally blurted out. “I can’t take anymore!”
They laughed at me, and I just hung my head in defeat. Well at least, they stopped talking. I’d heard things, I’d never wanted to hear in my entire life. I knew their intentions were good, but did they have any idea of the mental images they were giving me?! Ewwwwwww!!!
“Oh, Kagome, we just want you and my son to be happy. Sex is a very important part of your relationship. If you ever have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask!”
“Doesn’t this bother you at all?!” I asked.
“No! The sooner you too get started the sooner Hitomi and I get grandchildren! When you get o be our age, you find that’s the last thing you have to look forward to.”
I shook my head, but chuckled a little. Then a thought hit me.
“Well what about Sess and Rin. They’re closer to that than me!”
A wave of sadness flashed in Shiori’s eyes, making me immediately regret the question.
“Well, that may be a dream never come true. Rin...she went through quite a bit of trauma when she was raped all those years ago. Her body sustained a lot of damage. We’re not sure she can ever have children of her own. It would be a miracle..”
I nodded, realizing just how dire that situation really was. How hard it must be for Sess and Rin, knowing that they might never be able to have any biological children.
“It’s so unfair.” I whispered.
“Rin is coming to accept it, but she has never yet given up hope. It was a miracle that you and my son met, Kagome, and it was a miracle that we found you again. Perhaps we haven’t used up all of our good fortune as of yet.”
I clasped the prayer beads tighter in my hands as I smiled. I swore to be the best damn maid of honor anyone had ever had, in return for all that Rin had done for me so far. She... she was one of
the main reasons I was here to begin with.
I glanced to the clock on the wall, and right on cue, Rin and Sango began to pound on the door.
“Kagome, Come on!”
“We have to go now! It’s almost time for him to get there!”
I tuned and hugged my mother and then Shiori, and hopped up from the bed. I slipped the prayer beads carefully into my purse and walked to the door.
“Thanks...Mom.” I said, looking pointedly at each woman. Then I threw open the door and was grabbed by two very excited girls.
Miroku handed me the umbrella as I was dragged past him, and everyone wished me good luck as I went past.
Under the umbrella’s protection, we ran to Sango’s car and jumped inside. She raced to the bus stop, her foot hardly ever leaving the gas pedal.
Within minutes, I wasng png pushed out of the car, into the pouring rain.
“GOOD LUCK, ‘GOME!!” They yelled in unison, and the sped off back in the direction of the shrine.
Lightning flashed just then and I fought a tremor as the thunder boomed.
I’d lived on my own for a whole year-I should be able to stand a little thunder!
I took a deep breath and stepped away from the edge of the curb, slowly but surely approaching the bus stop that had changed my life so dramatically. I stood beside the simple wooden bench, now drenched from the rain and smiled. I closed my eyes and thought back to that first day there.
So gloomy, so gray and dull. It was enough to dash anyone’s hopes of having the perfect day. I had walked ever so slowly when I had realized it was raining, but the stark contrast of the red umbrella in the distance held my attention. I was almost mesmerized by it, the color bright against the sad backdrop. That was when I’d seen him, the boy holding it, and my eyes had been unable to tear themselves away from his face.
Then he turned and looked at me, flashing me with the most beautiful eyes I’d ever seen in my entire life.
“You do realize it’s raining, right?”
“Y-yeah, I guess I didn’t notice at first.”
“You wanna share?” He asked.
“Huh?”
“Do you want to share? Or if you prefer to let yourself get soaked....”
Now here ood, ood, holding the very same umbrella in my hands that had brought us together in the first place. I closed my eyes and prayed to every God I knew of that it would work just as well the second time around.
I noticed the headlights headed my way on the opposite side of the street. My heart began to race again as I watched it come closer and closer, then make a complete stop directly across the street from me. I saw a flash of sliver through the windows, in the very back of the bus, then promptly disappeared. A second later the bus pulled away, leaving a lone figure standing there unprotected in the pouring rain.
Inuyasha...
Oh! Oh! OOOHHHH!!

Inuyasha...
Oh! Oh! OOOHHHH!!
*Vibrates with anticipation*
