Too Much Time On Their Hands

Tsukiya and Jimmy were soon getting the hang of things so they understood how royals were supposed to act. Demon training was constantly being pushed into their heads by their parents, trainers, and other family members. Still nothing seemed to prepare them all for the day Sesshoumaru was to give birth. A seventh child was to be born to the throne and another boy except for this one was absolutely perfect as far as all of the pack was concerned. It was indeed a lucky number and a rare thing for everyone. This was the thought on everyone's mind anyway.

Sesshoumaru had been mulling about the house complaining things were still too cluttered still and had been rather moody lately. His abdomen was now showing their child and he was constantly talking to his son not even hiding the fact he was pregnant. Still Sesshoumaru was so tired. He had no energy as if the baby was draining every bit of it all.

Dr. Hojo put him on bed rest, but Sesshoumaru fought it constantly. Inuyasha found Sesshoumaru in the kitchen one night asleep after eating a whole raw steak from the fridge along with a rack of bloody ribs. Cleaning him up, he carried his mate to bed. Still they would find him in odd places like the closet or even in the kid’s playhouse until one day Megan and Inuyasha found their mate hiding in the hall closet moaning in pain. Dr. Hojo stated he wanted a dark place to have the child since Sesshoumaru being a male Alpha wanted a more suitable place for a canine to have his pup in. A den in other words so one was built. This is where they found him when he went into full contractions.

No one could hold him down by themselves. It took all of the males to shackle him in and then the whole house shook with his roars of pain. Akiyoshi was a bit nervous, but still attempted to perform the delicate surgery on the very powerful very pissed off Lord Sesshoumaru who’s crimson eyes held murder in them to any who got too close. It was damn near impossible to keep him still causing such a mess of himself since he was fighting with it tooth and nail. Even the spell on the black device that Inuyasha broke him in seemed to weaken a bit with the power of his son assisting him in this fight.

"Shit will you hurry the fuck up Akiyoshi!"

Inuyasha stated nervously as Sesshoumaru's eyes were glowing even deeper red. The spell was going to wear off soon. Dr. Hojo pulled the screaming child from Sesshoumaru only having to open him again to get the clots out after the afterbirth fell out. Inuyasha did the traditional biting of the umbilical cord and held his son as the proud Father. Then they cleaned off the most perfect child they had ever witnessed in their life as Sesshoumaru finally calmed passing out cold after losing so much blood. He had to be cut open five times total for this since he healed so damn fast. It was miserable and very painful.

Megan and Inuyasha cleaned off their mate. Sesshoumaru was uncuffed with bruises, cuts, and burn marks from fighting the contraption. Only Inuyasha was strong enough to carry the well built tall man. He was so damn muscular it was like lifting steel weights rather than the dead weight of an unconscious man. Sesshoumaru was so damn strong and there was no fat on his body at all even after the pregnancy. It was like his whole body went back to the way it was before he was pregnant. Like their Father said this was a onetime miracle and Inuyasha felt funny as he felt his body change a bit like he had that reproductive part of him borrowed by his brother for this event.

Sesshoumaru was laid on the bed naked and wrapped in blankets as he fell into a deep slumber. He woke up shaking, tired, and was quite ill. Dr. Hojo was very concerned since someone as strong as Sesshoumaru should not be this ill.

"Sesshoumaru do you want to see our son?"

Inuyasha asked softly of his mate. Sesshoumaru was feverish and tired. Still he nodded. He wanted to see their son.

Kagome brought in the baby as Megan was looking up books on how to heal her mate. This was not normal and Sesshoumaru was not getting better. Akiyoshi was with Megan telling her to go see the pup, but Megan swatted at him as tears came not ready to see the pup yet. Megan loved the pup, but she wanted Sesshoumaru well. Wasn't that more important? What was the damn point of all of this if he died? Dr. Hojo told her not to be dramatic, but Megan felt something was really wrong and in the end had been right.

"Sesshoumaru see this is our baby pup. Isn't he beautiful? He is perfect just like you."

Sesshoumaru touched his son and smiled.

"His name is Lycos Touga Tashio. He is the white wolf of our family with ice blue eyes. Lycos has eyes like mine. He looks more like me than the others do. Doesn't he? Out of all our children he is like me although I wanted him to be like the others. Lycos is not perfect, he is beautiful. I don't care about perfect anymore."

Inuyasha watched Sesshoumaru's chest rise and fall with very shallow breaths.

"I am tired. Let me rest now."

Sesshoumaru stated softly as he fell back into slumber with his breathing becoming even shallower than before making Inuyasha start to sob since he thought he was going to lose Sesshoumaru forever.

Inuyasha and Megan sat by Sesshoumaru's side for days. He was only able to stay awake to feed Lycos. After that he was ill and he was not getting any better. It was very difficult for everyone at the castle to watch such a strong man suffer so much.

All of the family spent hours in the library, traveling to the castle, and looking up old scrolls trying to find a way to save Sesshoumaru. One day, when they all thought all hope was lost Megan rushed into the room with tensaiga burning her fingers as she was desperate to do anything to save this man she loved.

"Inuyasha put this by him please. Keep this with him until he is well. I contacted his Father; the pup has to stay in here with him. Our son is draining his powers. He will die if the baby is far from him."

Inuyasha looked at Megan's burnt fingers, her pale skin, and the worry on her face. She was not doing well either. In fact Megan looked worse than Sesshoumaru as though all her powers were gone and she was the walking dead.

"Megan what did you do?"

Megan ignored Inuyasha who looked into her eyes seeing emptiness.

"I put my healing powers in tensaiga. I put all of them in there. It is ok Inuyasha. That way I can be with him and keep him safe. That way you both can be together to take care of our family so that they will always have parents… I want to give him this and you. I want you to both take care of our family. You can have children and be together. Take care of Jimmy for me and our children. I love you both too much....... I can't.........."

Inuyasha watched Megan fall to the floor unable to speak any longer. Inuyasha lifted her into his arms crying. She wasn't breathing.

"Hojo! Damn it get in here!"

Akiyoshi came in and then saw the crumpled scroll fall from Megan's now dead fingers. Inuyasha was screaming in horror and Sesshoumaru awoke to see the scroll on the floor.

"No......... No......."

Sesshoumaru sobbed softly. He knew what that damn spell was. Dr. Hojo picked it up reading the words inscribed.

'The tide is turning.
It is time to go.
Running fast then running slow.
The clock is ticking.
One two three.
My life is ending.
To set those I love free.
Unmate my love to save his life.
With this I give the ultimate sacrifice.
Take my life and live it well.
Tensaiga I call thee
My soul I expel.
So mote it be.'

"My life for theirs....... Tensaiga..."

Sesshoumaru sobbed as he looked at his beloved female. Megan was placed into a sealed chamber where nothing could touch her until they could undo the spell. It did save Sesshoumaru's life and it was her choice.

Jimmy and Tsukiya looked at their Fathers telling them to find a cure soon. Lycos howled and eventually only one option was left. They had to go to the castle and find out what to do from Inu No Tashio. Perhaps even Megan's spirit would be there.
