Chapter Four
Strangers


Sesshomaru had walked for what seemed like hours, but he honestly couldn’t go anymore. He was losing blood, and he just wanted to curl-up and welcome the darkness that was so close by, that he could taste it.

He was breathing hard, which hadn’t happened since many years ago. The little girl in his arms had quieted down, but looked so cold that he was worried about her.

He couldn’t do much for her though and he felt his heart break some more. He had finally broken through and could see the cabin, but for the life of him, he couldn’t walk anymore. Instead with only a few more feet left to go…

Sesshomaru collapsed in the snow, wrapping the girl up into his body so she would have his body heat. Hopefully she would be able to get help here. He welcomed the darkness with open arms, knowing he might never open those eyes again.

****Kagome****

I rushed out of the cabin as I saw the stranger collapse. I knew just knew I had to save him. I halted when I saw the little girl in his arms. ‘Oh my… poor girl.’ I thought to myself.

I noticed the little girl was looking up at me. “Little one, are you alright?” I asked her in concern.

“I’m hurt and cold, very cold, but so is Papa.” the girl said in a shivery voice.

I looked at the male laying in the snow. I felt bad for him. “Go into the cabin, bathroom is the first door on the left. Take a hot bath or shower and hang up your clothes to dry.” I said to the girl.

The girl smiled gratefully at me before doing what she was asked to do. She knew she could trust me, just like she knew I would take care of her father.

Once the little girl was gone I tried very hard to get the male to wake up, but it wasn’t happening any time soon. So finally I grabbed his hands and started to drag him inside.

It took awhile of course, but I finally managed to get him inside. Closing the door and looking at the wet demon on the floor.

Now that there was proper light I saw his features and could only stare. He had to be one of the best looking demons that I have ever seen. And now I was free to strip him down to his birthday suit and fix him up.

“Oh my…” I breathed.

“Miss? What is your name?” The little girl asked as she walked in and sat by the fire with her towel covering her.

“I am Kagome, and you are?” I asked as I assessed the damage done to the girl.

“I’m Rin. That, over there, is my adopted father Sesshomaru.” Rin said with a frown.

“Alright hun. Your leg is cut up badly, but no permanent damage was done to you.” I said to Rin.

I walked towards the bathroom and got gauze, alcohol, bandages and a wrap for her leg. I walked back into the living room and sat down next to her.

“Aren’t you going to take care of my father?” Rin asked in surprise.

“Yes, I am, but first I want you taken care of and nice n’ warm in a bed.” I told her.

I cleaned all her wounds, wrapped her leg up and then found her a flannel shirt of mine for her to wear to bed. I showed her to the spare bedroom and tucked her in.

“Goodnight Rin and don’t worry about your father, I’ll make sure he’s fine.” I said and left.

I went back to where Sesshomaru lay on the floor and started dragging him to the only bedroom left, mine. Where I could give him the medical attention he desperately needed. Some how I managed to get him up into the bed and stripped down to nothing within five minutes. It didn’t take nearly as long as I had expected.

I used the alcohol and cleaned his wounds. His head was the worst, but I didn’t think anything was permanent, but wouldn’t be completely sure until he woke up.

After patching up Sesshomaru, I walked into the living room and put my shoes and jacket on. In the hall I grabbed a flashlight and the keys.

I locked the door so nobody foolish enough to be out would do harm to the ones lying in their beds. I found Sesshomaru’s tracks and followed them to where I hoped his car was.

Finally after about thirty minutes I came across the car and had to cringe. It was beyond hope. I opened the trunk from the front door and had to laugh at all the suitcases. He was just as bad as I was.

I grabbed the suitcases and made sure everything was locked up. No sense in letting some criminal make it there new home.

I finally made my way back to my cabin. It took me forty minutes with all the baggage I was carrying… next time I would let the visitor do it in the morning.

I put everything down in the living room, locked up once again and made my way to the demon that was waiting in my bed.

When I entered the room I found him sweating and could only think of one thing to do to bring the fever he had down. I lit the fire in the fireplace in the room and stripped naked. I laid beside him so he would get the body heat he needed to break the fever.

****Sesshomaru****

Sesshomaru actually purred as he woke up. He smelled rain all around and he tried to get closer to the source. That’s when he first noticed… A woman was asleep with her head on his chest and the both of them were naked.

‘I don’t remember being with a woman. Heck I don’t remember a lot of things…’ he thought to himself.

Sesshomaru stayed still, but looked at the woman in his arms. She had black hair that fell across his chest in waves of silk. Her skin was beautiful and seemed to glow in the morning light coming through the windows. Her breasts would fit perfectly into his hands…

Just like that she opened her chocolate brown eyes and stared at him in complete shock.

“Well I am a male… Don’t look at me as if I shouldn’t be turned on by a beautiful female laying on me completely naked.” Sesshomaru said looking away with a light blush gracing his cheeks.
