One week later……at the opening night of the sapphire club…


“Kikyo…” slurred Kagome as she plunked down her glass

“Yes Kagome…?” Kikyo said round-eyed at the amount of drinks her lightweight friend had consumed

“Maybe…*hiccup* I should...*hiccup* we shouuuulld!! Get marrthiieed! It would solve all of me *hiccup* problems”

“Oh silly Kags. !!! You would give up men for me?” chuckled a very amused Kikyo, as she elbowed Sango and Yura whom were also very much amused by the scene playing out.

“Okaaaayyy…. I think it’s time for our little Kagome to get home now…wouldn’t you agree ladies?” Sango stated looking around at Kikyo and Yura...

“Agreed” the ladies stated joyfully, giving a Google-eyed Kagome a sidelong glance.

Sango chuckled as she hoisted Kags. Up to leave.

The next morning…

“Ohhh!!! My head” Kagome groaned as she crawled towards the bathroom.

“It serves you right...” stated Sango as she went to draw the blinds.

“I know…Kami Sango! I just don’t know what to do!”

“Well instead of partying and acting like you’re happy about this situation you could just take the time to at least get to know the man I mean it’s not like you have till tomorrow before you get married!”

“I know I know....I just…I just thought it would be my choice to make… you know like we found each other we fell in love, got married had a million babies and lived happily ever after!”

“How do you know you couldn’t learn to love him I mean you barely even know the guy”

“Trust me Sango…you would take one look at him and say no too, he’s just soo….distant and there’s no spark or even like…..I don’t feel there’s a passionate bone in his body!”

“Kagome! You’re being silly! Maybe he’s just shy” Sango said quirking her eyebrows at Kagome…

“I mean remember Miroku…”

*Flashback*

“I still say he’s shy! Anyway so…what do you think about going out again tonight? Except this time you have to be the designated driver! No drinkie drinkie for my Kagomie!”

Later that day….
(Both Kagome and Seshomaru sitting alone at dinner, kinda like their first date)
“So…how much are we up in sales Ms. Higurashi?”
“Hmm..? Oh right! We were up by 5% in gross profits from last year’s Gp and up 12% for the year”

“Excellent”
(The clinking of silverware continues, as a hushed silence pervades the table)
*sigh* as he ran his fingers through his hair.
“Ms. Higurashi…”

“Yes?”…
“Even though we are obviously very different people… I promise you this…I will always be faithful to you in marriage. You shall never want for something and maybe through time and Kami maybe you and I can come to a kind of affection for each other even if it may not be love.” Seshomaru said as he awkwardly put his hand on his betrothed’s.
“And I pledge to do the same” she said as she tentatively gave him a gentle squeeze.
“Now my uhm…sweet I have a business meeting with our elders…if you will excuse me” he said gracefully standing he placed a kiss on the top of her head, and vanished before Kagome even had the chance to reply.

*music blared through the speakers as people danced to the beat. Glow sticks blazed through the dark as the black lights and strobe lights shot through the night making the dancers glow with an ethereal light*
“Just look at Sango! She’s glowing in the dark!” Kagome said nudging a punch drunken Kikyo as Sango grinded up against Miroku, with a sexy grin plastered to his face. Her cute white skirt and shirt glowing under the black lights.
“Now if only Sango would become a lesbian!” Yura and Kikyo chorused, laughing at the thought of a sexy dominatrix Sango tying them up. Kagome rolled her eyes at their hentai smirks and watched as the drunken girlies headed to the dance floor to show everybody how to dance.
“Excuse me miss..?” whispered a sultry voice in Kagome’s ear. “But would you like to dance?....like that?”
“Excuse…” Kagome said as she whirled around to face the devil himself. His dark amber eyes pierced through her “me…” she said softly as he grabbed her and led her out to the dance floor.
“Wait! I…I can’t dance! I mean I’m supposed to be designated driver to night so uhm…” she said pulling her hands back palms up and facing him. Until…he glided over lacing his fingers through hers. “I didn’t ask you to drink, just dance….with me” he said as she drowned in his gorgeous eyes. She was whisked away as they danced together.
Kagome groaned as he slowly ground into her, she could feel her temperature rising as heat pooled in the pit of her stomach, making her groan in pleasure as the feeling pooled between her legs. His hands...as they grazed her hips…

Sango just chuckled lightly before replying “Well girls I guess we don’t have a designated driver any more…let’s make sure to call a cab!” all three gave Kagome the signal before returning to dance. It wasn’t long before Kagome was also smashed…and needing a ride home…
“Come on…where you live?” stated a reluctant and rumpled hanyou.
“eh heh heh heh…*hiccup*” giggled a very drunk Kagome as she clung to him for dear life. “Just down the street” she said pointing in said direction…which later turned out to be 17 city blocks and four flights of stairs later….(0.0 don’t ask how he got her up those stairs)
They finally made it to her door 418, as she wobbled the key in the lock and threw open the door dragging a tired guy behind her, kissing him passionately. Their tongues battled for dominance as she pulled his t-shirt over his head groaning as her hands ran down his chiseled abs. “Wait…” he stated breathlessly, cupping her face in his hands as he stared down into her beautiful gray eyes. “I can’t do this…”
“Wha..why..not?” Kagome said dazedly as she raked her fingernails lightly down his back and shoulders. “Because the first time I’m with you I want you sober I want you to feel and experience every moment I touch and breathe with you” he said as a shiver ran down her spine. “Good night beautiful and…thanks for the dance.” He said winking and then he was gone as she heard his motorcycle drive off into the night.
