Losing Love
Chapter 4: Losing Love
Kagome and Souta stood there emotionless as she left, then without thought Kagome dashed out of the room racing after her mother. She didn’t want them to be close the way they used to be, she wanted answers. Kagome saw her walking through the gates away from the estate. With only a seconds hesitation Kagome ran in front of her mother. Her eyes shining with tears unshed from horrors long past.
“WHY? WHY DIDN‘T YOU PROTECT US FROM HIM? WHY DID YOU PUSH ME AWAY WHEN I NEEDED YOU MOST? I NEEDED MY MOTHER AND YOU WERE THERE TO PROTECT ME, COMFORT ME, OR EASE MY FEARS. I HAD TO FEND FOR MYSELF AND THEN FOR SOUTA AS WELL AT THE AGE 15. NOT ONLY THAT YOU COULDN‘T TELL US WHAT WE WERE. YOU LET US GO THROUGH LIFE RIDICULED FOR BEING DIFFERENT. WHAT THE FUCK TYPE OF MOTHER ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO FUCKIN BE!? I ALMOST KILLED A DINER FULL OF INNOCENT PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU DIDN‘T HAVE THE FUCKIN COURAGE TO TELL USE ABOUT OUR ABILITIES. YOU’RE THE WORST FUCKIN PARENT THAT EVER WALKED THIS EARTH AND I‘M ASHAMED TO BE FUCKIN RELATED TO Y…”
Just as Kagome was about to finish her sentence she felt sting of her mother’s hand going across her face. She look at her mother with barely contained fury in her eyes. Clearly her mother had forgotten who the fuck she was dealing with or had she forgotten the last fight they got into.
Flashback
Kagome stood yelling at her mother for her not protecting Souta and herself from the abuse they had suffered by their stepfathers hands, while she was in the next room listening to their screams of help. Kaori Higurashi slapped her daughter hard across her face sending her crashing to the floor. Her body shook from the intensity of the unknown feeling raging through her body. Kagome stood from the floor an anger she had never known flowing though her body. Without thought Kagome slapped her mother back as hard as she possibly could, she felt no guilt or remorse for doing so either. Kaori was sent into the wall from the force of her daughters slap. Moving from the wall she punched her daughter in her stomach and proceeded to slap her repeat ably before she let her go. She turned as if to leave the kitchen when Kagome grabbed her shoulder and spun her around to face her. Then, she proceeded to slam her fist into her mothers face and stomach repeat ably before turning and walking out the house without a second thought.
End Flashback
Kagome pulled her fist back just as everyone within the house poured out on to the lawn to see all the yelling was about. Her fist glowed blue with her priestess powers seconds before she slammed her fist full force into her mother’s face. Kaori crashed to the ground, but was back on her feet in seconds. Kaori kicked Kagome in her chest sending her flying back several meters. But, that didn’t stop Kagome, pregnant or not she was about to kick her mothers ass. Grabbing her mother by her hair Kagome used it to hold her in place while she punched her in the face repeat ably. Before sending and purifying blast strong enough to purify even the great Lord Inu no Taisho at her mother. Kaori threw up a shield just in time to absorb enough of the energy to stay alive when the blast hit her. The blast sent her flying back into and through the wall of Sesshomaru’s home, where she now lay unconscious.
“Sesshomaru how far along am I?”
“Two months, you’ll start to show in your third and final month.”
“Are you serious three months. Damn, I thought I be pregnant for at least five months.”
“You would be if you were giving birth to a hanyou. Speaking of which Inuyasha you and your gang members have and hour to disappear from my home.”
“WHAT YOUR TAKING IN THIS BITCH AND HER BROTHER OVER YOUR OWN BLOOD BROTHER!?”
Sesshomaru ignored him. But, everyone still had their eyes locked on Kagome who was now wrapped in Sesshomaru’s arms, her hands resting on her stomach.
“Kagome will you be my mate?”
Sesshomaru whispered in her ear so that only she could hear him. Kagome turned in his arms so that she was facing him. She scanned his face for anything that might show he was mocking her.
“Are you sure you want me?”
She whispered back. As much as Kagome loved Sesshomaru she was still afraid he might hurt her and she wasn’t sure if she could handle that. Silence fell between them so that Kagome unwrapped herself from Sesshomaru and walked to ward her bike.
“Sango we’re leaving make sure everyone gets to base within 15 minutes or their ass is mine when I get there.”
“I understand, Kagome.”
Starting her bike Kagome motioned to Sesshomaru to come to her. Walking over to her he was shocked by the cold, hard glare that met his eyes.
“When your done thinking I’ll decide if I’m willing to give a fuck about what you want.”
Then she disappeared with a screech of tires. Souta saw the look Kagome gave the taiyoukai and knew he had hurt her in some way. Because only one person had ever received that glare form her (their stepfather) and he was dead. So Souta walked over to him knowing that his sisters happiness was sitting in the taiyoukai’s palm. He could chose to make her see how he cared about her or say nothing and loss the woman he loved along with his child and his own happiness.
A/N: Sorry about the short chapter guys, but I’m helping my mom prepare the food for the party tomorrow and I’m worried about my best friend who like my little sister and is in a coma. I’ll update as sson as possible, I promise.
