Chapter 4

After a month when Sesshomaru and Rin had spent that night together, Sesshomaru had noticed that Rin’s scent had suddenly changed. After realizing what it was made him feel rather surprised because he was sure it wouldn’t happen. Rin didn’t even realize herself that her scent had changed and that she was now pregnant. Sesshomaru decided to leave the castle for a while because he was rather confused about the whole pregnancy thing. He had told Rin that he was going away for a few months which had made her quite sad. Sesshomaru told Jaken about Rin being pregnant and so it was Jaken’s job to take care of her why he was gone.

Sesshomaru knew that Rin will start to notice things it about a weeks time because her belly would get a bit bigger. He had told Jaken to tell her everything about her carrying his pup when she asks what’s wrong with her.

About two months later Sesshomaru was walking through the forest when he suddenly smelt his younger brothers scent not to far away.

“LOOK I AM JUST GOING HOME TO GET SOME THINGS INUYASHA” Kagome yelled at him. “WELL WHEN WILL YOU BE BACK” Inuyasha yelled back “here we go again” Shippo said sitting with Miroku and Sango. “Don’t they ever stop” Sango then said afterwards “this is just their way of showing how much they care for one another” Miroku replied. Sango then felt a hand rubbing her back side ‘WHACK’ Sango slapped Miroku on the face, leaving a red hand mark on his right cheek.

Kagome and Inuyasha kept arguing when Inuyasha stopped because he smelt a very familiar scent coming their way. Out of the trees walked Sesshomaru “I thought it was you” Inuyasha said pulling his sword out. “So you came to fight me well prepare your self Sesshomaru” he was about to charge. “I did not come here to fight you Inuyasha” he told Inuyasha when the hanyou stopped in his tracks. “Then why are you here” he asked his older brother “I don’t need to give you a reason why I am here” and Sesshomaru started to walk of. “Wait Sesshomaru” Kagome ran up to him “what is it” Sesshomaru stood their looking at the girl. “Is Rin with you I would really like to say hello” she asked thinking that maybe Rin might be waiting for Sesshomaru in the forest like she usually did. “No she is back at the castle” Sesshomaru told her “oh, well if it is alright with you maybe one day we can visit her” she then asked again. “Hmph” and Sesshomaru just walked back into the forest. Kagome could tell that was a yes but she had to go back home to get some things for hers and Inuyasha’s daughter.

Sesshomaru had known the Inuyasha was now a father because he could smell the scent of a small infant on his brothers clothes. He wanted to ask what it is like to be a father but of course he let his pride get in the way. Sesshomaru knew that if he had told Inuyasha that he had gotten Rin pregnant Inuyasha would crack up laughing. Since he had been away for the last couple of months all that has mostly been on his mind was Rin. Sesshomaru wanted to know how she was doing and how big her belly would be by now.

Back at the castle Rin was sitting in her room looking out the window why rubbing her swollen tummy. It had only been about two months ago when she was told by Jaken the she was pregnant with Sesshomaru’s child. Rin was really surprised and happy at the same time but then she knew why her lord had left. Jaken told her that after Sesshomaru found out she was pregnant he needed to get away to think. Rin understood and wasn’t angry at him for leaving since knowing he was going to be a father very soon. Rin only had a few months until the pup would be born and she hoped that Sesshomaru will be their for the delivery. She had asked Jaken if Sesshomaru would be coming back soon but the little demon didn’t know.

Jaken could tell how much Rin wanted Sesshomaru to be their for the birth so he decided to send a demon out to look for him to give his lordship a letter. Jaken had no idea were Sesshomaru would even be but he hoped that the letter will get to him very soon. If not who knows when Sesshomaru would be returning.

Nearly a month later the demon Jaken sent out to find Sesshomaru to give him the letter came back to the castle. The demon told him that their lord will be returning when the child is born which would only be in a few months time. Jaken was a bit disappointed that Sesshomaru wasn’t coming back now. He wanted to tell Rin but he didn’t, he just decided to wait and hope that Sesshomaru would come right on the day when his pup will be born.

After some time Sesshomaru knew that the night had come where his child would be born, so he headed back to the castle. He remembered receiving the letter from Jaken only four and a half months ago. Sesshomaru had kept good count on how long it had been since he had left the castle and now was the time to return. Running under the full moon Sesshomaru knew that his pup will be a strong one. Not just because he was the father but legend has it that when a demon baby is born under a full moon it gives that child great strength. Sesshomaru himself was born under a full moon as well.

At the castle their was a loud scream coming from a chamber room and maids were running in and out of the room, fetching towels and boiling water. Jaken wasn’t aloud inside the room so he was pacing back and forth outside the bedroom door. ‘Where are you lord Sesshomaru’ he thought to himself. Jaken could hear Rin’s screams and the doctor telling her to push, Jaken couldn’t stand it. He was still pacing when he heard some footsteps coming from down the hall and the scent he would never forget. Their walking towards him was none other than Sesshomaru ‘he’s back I cant believe it’ Jaken thought so surprised to see his master “my lord thank goodness you are back” Jaken bowed to him. “Is Rin alright” he asked “I am not sure my lord since I was not allowed to enter the room” Jaken told him. Sesshomaru knew that males were not aloud to enter when their mate was having the child. Sesshomaru then realized that he had never made Rin his mate. Not when they made love, he had never even thought about it since he had left straight after he found out that Rin was pregnant.

Sesshomaru could hear Rin screaming, he was worried that something was wrong and wanted to know what was happening in their. Of course he knew better not to enter so he just waited until he would hear his pup cry. Much time passed by when Sesshomaru suddenly heard a baby’s cry from inside the room.

The doctor walked out wiping her hands with a towel “you may come in now my lord” she told him allowing Sesshomaru to enter. He walked in why everyone else walked out of the room leaving him and Rin alone. Sesshomaru saw Rin sleeping on the bed since she was exhausted, he then noticed she was holding two bundles. Sesshomaru walked over to her and couldn’t believe what he saw. Instead of just one pup their was two instead, Rin had twins which he could hardly believe and they were both boys, he had two sons. “Aren’t they beautiful” he heard a soft voice, “yes they are” he replied walking over to her and sitting on the bed. “Are you alright” Sesshomaru asked her, “I am now and I am so glad that you are back my lord” Rin told him.

“So what should we call them” she asked him, Sesshomaru looked at his two sons in her arms. Sesshomaru could already tell who was the oldest out of the two pups “Sessh and Taisho” he told her. Sesshomaru wanted his eldest son to be called Sessh because it was the beginning of his name and his youngest son to be called Taisho because it was part of Sesshomaru’s fathers name. Rin loved the names and knew Sesshomaru choose well and she was happy that her lord accepted their children.

As time went by both Sessh and Taisho grew up they were both incredibly handsome even though they didn’t look the same. Their were many similarities with their looks but it was still easy to tell them apart. The only thing that was completely different about the two was that their personalities weren’t the same. Sessh was a lot like his father in so many ways but Taisho was like their mother. Even though their personalities were different both Sessh and Taisho loved each other like brothers should. Sessh had promised that he would always protect his younger twin brother since he was the strongest out of the two. Sesshomaru was very proud of his sons and knew that Sessh will be a great ruler when the time came.

When the boys were only two years old, Sesshomaru had asked Rin if she would become his mate and she had accepted. Rin was now the lady of the western lands and was very happy that Sesshomaru had marked her. She loved him dearly and even though her mate didn’t show it, Rin knew that he loved her as well. Taisho had always asked his father and mother if they were ever going to have another child. He had being wanting to either have another brother or even a sister which would be good.

Sesshomaru and Rin hadn't given their youngest son a proper answer if they were going to have another pup or not, only time will tell. Though before that would happen both Sesshomaru and Rin wanted to enjoy their time with their sons.
