Souten's Discovery (Chapter 3 1/2)

Author's Note : This is NOT chapter four. This is sort of an inbetween chapter, specifically chapter 3 1/2. All disclaimers apply, and as a note, this is also not a substitute for a proper chapter. I promise I'll have chapter four up soon... I just need some suggestions! See the bottom of this half-chapter for what I need.

*~*~*

Souten lay awake under her blanket, eyes wide and certainly not tired as she stared up at the ceiling. Koryuu, her little dragon, was curled up on her pillow next to her and snoring squeakily into her ear. She had long learned to ignore the tiny creature's night noises, but tonight was different. Tonight was the source of a bit of childish rage. Niether of her brothers had come to bid her goodnight after Manten had called for lights out and extinguished the lamps. As she was left in suspense about the story of how the sun goddess Amaterasu was chased out of the sky by the storm god Susanowo, the latter of which was their ancestor, was resolved, Souten was more than a little angry with being left to tuck herself in.

The young raidenyoukai scowled to herself as she whipped off her blanket, green with white leaves printed on it, and stood up. Souten was clad in only a thin little night-yukata, as it was midsummer now and the nights were warm, and she shivered at the blast of cooler air from laying beneath her slightly stuffy sheets for so long, waiting. Not listening as Koryuu made a whistling squeak and rolled onto it's back, taking the entire pillow, she stomped out of the room to search for her brothers, demand a bedtime story, and then return to bed with one or both in tow.

First stop was the main living area, right down the hall. The hanyou's falchion, sheathed not without a few burns and taken home as a trophy, hung innocuously above the mantel, gleaming in the dim moonlight through the windows. As her brothers weren't there, Souten moved on. Maybe they were in the kitchen, having a midnight snack. They weren't there. Perhaps in the bathing room, showering or somesuch. No sign of life in there either. On the other hand, maybe they were in their rooms, sleeping obliviously to their sister's needs. Souten became frustrated when she found niether brother there. Where had they gone?!

About ready to give up and go to sleep, the youngest of the three siblings stalked past a small room that they used mostly to keep extra blankets, spare clothing, weapons and other stolen good from the humans... She froze in her place when she heard Manten's voice, plaintive and gutteral at the same time, pleading for something. This induced a spark of morbid curiousity, and Souten pushed open the door as quietly as she could possibly manage. Her eyes widened at the rather incredible sight in front of her.

Manten was pressed to the floor, lying on his stomach amid a sea of rumpled blankets, his hips raised so that he was supporting himself on his knees. His arms were stretched out in front of him, clawing at the floor, and his eyes were squeezed shut. A rather merciful thing, as Souten was standing right in front of him, staring not specifically at Manten but also what both brothers were doing. Hiten seemed to be sitting on his younger brother's rear, palms flat against Manten's shoulders while the balls of his feet rested lightly on the floor, the majority of his weight being rocked back and forth. The girl thought maybe they were rough housing, as both of them were writhing and panting as Hiten was slamming his hips back and forth mightily, the pair nearly scooting across the floor in his force. Obviously the elder brother was winning, as Manten soon let out a keening wail, his own hips bucking and a loud spurting noise becoming apparent. Souten assumed that this meant her younger brother had lost whatever game they were playing, but nearly jumped out of her skin when Hiten responded with an equally loud yowl in return. The pair slumped noticably, turning around so that they were on their sides, Manten placing his arms around Hiten's muscular shoulders.

Souten felt rather confused as she watched them snuggle, the elder brother pulling himself back a bit and creating a small pop as something limp, pinkish, and long was pulled from the smaller male's backside. Squinting a bit, she saw that it was attached to Hiten. She felt a little disturbed and more than a little confused at this sight, and finally cleared her throat to catch their attention. Both of the brothers whipped their heads in their sister's direction, twin red blushes blooming on their faces at her expression.

"S-Souten--" Manten's stuttered reaction was cut off by Souten's indignant shout.

"What were you DOING?!" She shrieked, eyes wide and trying not to let her jaw hang open in shock. There was a very awkward silence.

Cont. Author's Note : Shatter needs help with chapter four! I'm truly a scatterbrain... You readers are encouraged, no, implored to leave suggestions for stuff to put in the fourth proper chapter. I'm thinking about introducing a conflict with Sesshoumaru, for the Tetsusaiga, or Kouga, on the subject of Shikon no kakkera, which will of course include some non-consentual Hiten action. Fluffy-sama, Kouga, or maybe an encounter with another 'bad guy'? Please help!
