Sesshomaru to the rescue?
Disclaimer: ya ya ya..I don't own a thing, I just write about them...

Chapter 4 – Sesshomaru to the rescue?
Sesshomaru looked at the young girl before him, puzzled. He knew that she was his brother’s woman, but he assumed that Inuyasha had more sense to protect her better than this. Jaken knelt down and felt for her pulse.
“She’s been poisoned!” he said noticing the slashes across her chest.
Sesshomaru sniffed around the air. He could still smell Inuyasha and the other demon from before, but he couldn’t tell which attacked this girl. As he stood there gathering his thoughts, suddenly Sesshomaru sensed a demon in the area. It was headed towards him fast. He stood silently awaiting its approach. Once in sight, Sesshomaru was shocked to find that it was Inuyasha, or at least looked like him. The demon charging towards him had his half brother’s looks but it didn’t have nearly the same power levels as Inuyasha nor did it smell like him. Right before the demon came into striking range, it veered of in avoidance. It dodged both Sesshomaru and Jaken, spring-boarding off of a large rock and jumping into a tree.
“That’s not Inuyasha…!” Jaken proclaimed; an obvious statement at this point. Sesshomaru was beginning to feel annoyed at this time. With only his curiosity to blame, he was still insistent that somehow this was Inuyasha’s fault for his current waste of time. And his previous excuse of inquisitiveness was overcome now by his need find him and chastise him for making him take time out of his day.
The Inuyasha-like demon growled at Sesshomaru as it taunted him from the tree. It bounced on the branches like a wild beast as it licked its blooded claws.
“Why that insolent…” Jaken plunged the Staff of Heads into the ground. It spit a stream of fire in the direction of the demon, but the demon quickly dodged it and jumped to another tree. Sesshomaru didn’t move nor respond to the demon’s advances. He knew that it was only trying to lead them away from the girl so it could continue with killing her or worse. Sesshomaru grabbed the handle of his Tokijin sword, but felt reluctant to use it because, despite the appearance of this demon, it was not Inuyasha and therefore in no way as powerful. Killing it with the Tokijin would be a waste of energy. Instead, Sesshomaru, using his super speed, anticipated the movement of the demon, appeared in front of it and slashed it to pieces with his Dokkas poisonous flower Claw maneuver.
The body of the once Inuyasha-like creature crumbled to pieces and fell to the ground.
Jaken danced around in a circle trying to dodge the chucks of the demons remains. Sesshomaru appeared back next to Kagome and knelt beside her. Her heart was no longer beating in her chest and breath no longer escaped her lips. Kagome was dead from her wounds.
Jaken stood closer to Sesshomaru ready to hear his next command. Sesshomaru stood as he watched the little impish spirit demons as they come to collect her soul. Without warning, he pulled the Tenseiga from its sheath and swung it almost lopping off Jaken’s head in the process. Much to Jaken’s surprise, Sesshomaru used his Tenseiga to bring Kagome back to life. The scars and blood that first covered her body disappeared. Even the bite mark on her should disappeared. He tossed his fluffy scarf across her partially naked body to cover her and proceeded to carry her back out of the woods. Once he was free of the woods, Sesshomaru called to Ah-un and placed Kagome’s unconscious body across him.
“Rin!”
Rin was asleep beside the spring nestled in a soft patch of flowers and grass. Undoubtedly dreaming about Sesshomaru, she had a youthfully happy smile etched across her face. Despite the soundness of her sleep, the little girl sprang awake at the sound of her master’s voice.
“Yes My Lord?” her tiny voice a little horse from her sleeping.
“I have a job for you. Go and take this girl to the nearby village of the Miko. Then I want you to return here to the spring and wait for me.”
Rin nodded slowly looking at Kagome. She looked like she was about to comment, but then eagerly hopped on Ah-Un’s back and flew away.
“What now, Lord Sesshomaru?!” Jaken asked politely. Sesshomaru’s actions so far have all been rather confusing and Jaken wanted to make sure that he wouldn’t accidentally make himself a target. Emotionless and aloof, Sesshomaru re-entered the woods as before, this time with a determination to find the real Inuyasha and confront him about the strange happenings so far.
