Darn Hurricane :{ It messed me all up. we had no power for one day. Now I am playing catch up.


A/N: I would like to take this time to say thanks for some of the reviews I got. Plus I like to say
to say thanks to the coolest mom in the world. My mom is always there to support me in

Chapter 2

The next morning, Kagome started out early with her camera and a backpack with some food, water,
and necessities. Useing a map she got from the hotel, Kagome choose a little less used trail which went
around the base of the mountian. Kagome spent a good portion of the day exploring the flora and wildlife of
the area ,stoppping a few times to rest and eat. Enjoying the peace and solidtude, she continued along
the trail till it came to a fork in the road. Kagome reached into her backpack to get out her map. She opens
its to consult which path to take. Suddenly a tugging sensations made Kagome's senses go on alert.
Kagome sharply brought her head up to figure out where that tug was coming from. Standing still
for a minute, Kagome felt the tug come from the right, heading up toward the mountian. Curious,
Kagome decide to follow the tug to see what it was. The path she traveled on had weeds overgrown
and roots popped up everwhere.

" Damnit " Kagome cursed as she triped over a root.

Cursing and stumbling up the path for what seem like hours, Kagome manages to make it the point
where the tugging sensation came from. Standing before what seems to be a cavern in the side of
the mountian. Kagome takes a moment to catch her breath and looks around to see what else was
there. On oneside ,to the left, is a steep slope with weeds ,trees and grass growing. ( A/n: think
about a ski slope without snow). The other side of the cavern is another trail. The tugging sensation
came again from within the cavern. Torn between in turning back or exploreing the cavern.

" Should I go in or leave. Hmm.." Kagome ponders. Coming to a decision. " I may as well go in.
Who knows, there may be something interstaning to see."

Taking a flashlight ,she remembered to pack, out and turned it on. Walking into the cavern, she carefully
made her way through the cavern till she saw light up a head. Reaching her destination, Kagome saw
the cavern opens up to a huge cave with holes in the ceiling letting the afternoon sunlight in. Kagome turns
off the flashlight and looks around. At the back of the cave Kagome spies what seems to be a stone table
holding items. She walks to the table to get a closer look. Apon reaching the table, Kagome gasps in
awe when she sees what laying on the table. A treasure trove of ancient artifacts that seem to be laid there
as to be in remembrance to something. What laid there is some type of armor, a broken sword with an
insription on the hilt, and mirror in a setting of gold and gems set into it. Inscriptions are on the mirror as well.

" My God! Look at all this. There as to be a wealth of history and fortune lying here. I have to get
pictures of these." Kagome said with excitment.

Putting down her backpack, Kagome gets the camera out of the case and starts snapping away. She
makes sure she to get every detail of the artifacts. Suddenly auras begin to flare around the artifacts
while Kagome continues to snap pictures. When she took pictures of the mirror, an image appeared
of a valley with a single mountian standing there. While all this was happening a glow appears at Kagome's
chest. Kagome was in total awe in all this. She steps back to get a whole picture of it all. Removing
her eye from the camera to see where to step, then returns to the camera and nearly screams in shock.

The cause of her shock is what appears to be a youmg woman with long raven-black hair; pale
beautiful skin; kind midnight-blue eyes; and a symbol of what is to be sakura blosoms on her forehead.
The ghostly woman was floating above the table wearing old fashion clothing and armor. Kagome snaps
her picture when she felt a pulse at her chest. Looking from her camera down to her chest, Kagome reaches
in her shirt and pulls out her necklace. It seemed to be glowing and pulsating. Now able to see the ghostly
woman without the camera, Kagome looks up at her and sees the woman reaching her hand out to Kagome.
Kagome begins to get an unusual but somewhat firmilier feeling in her heart and starts to get scared.
Tighting her grip on her necklace and camera, Kagome steps back from the ghost, turns and runs.

Stumbling and triping over things, Kagome was desperate to get away. She runs out of the cavern, not paying
attention and slips and falls down the slope. Tumbling and rolling down the slope, Kagome gets scratched
and bruised up on the way down. Finally tumbles to a stops, Kagome lays there for a few minutes
aching and tries to catch her breath.

" Oh god I ache all over. I'm so going to be sore tomorrow." Kagome mumbles, out of breath. " And what just
happen back there. I find a cave with acient artifacts, I take pics of them and the woman appears and
necklace starts glowing. On top of that, I get this werid feeling. Ugh."

Kagome sits up and moans. Checking to make sure nothing is broken or swollen and only finds bruises.
Kagome gingerly stands up and dust herself off. After making sure her camera is still in one piece, she
looks around.

" I seem to be in one piece and in semi working condition. Now to figure out where I am." Kagome
analaze.

Looking up the slope, " Well I can't go back up that way. Too steep. Plus I left the backpack with
the map up there." Kagome hangs her head down and sighs. She looks up and see seagulls flying
up above in the distance. " Hey seagulls that means the beach must to near by. If I follow the beach it
might lead me back to the hotel."

So setting of in the direction of the flying seagull, Kagome walks till came to the end of the woods
and sees the beach. Turning left she travels along the shore of the beach. After walking for a while,
Kagome begins to get tired and thirst. But having left her backpack, she knew she'll have to hold
out till she got the hotel.

" Man, I knew I should have ignore that tug. But no I had to see what it was." Kagome sighs. "My curiosity is
going to get me killed one of these days."

She keeps walking till she see a rock wall going out towards the ocean uphead.

" Please Kami-sama, let this be the hotel's beach. I could really use a hot relaxing bath after all this" Kagome sighed.

Walking till she was 15 feet from the rock wall, Kagome began to here voices. Excited and happy to hear
other people there, Kagome walks till her miko senses kicked in.

" Youkai " Kagome breathed out that one word. Senseing an exterme evil in the air, Kagome shivered.
' What are they doing here ? " Kagome pounders.

Not wanting to be discoveried, Kagome puts up a scent masking spell and continues to the rock face till she
was right next to it. When she got there Kagome could make out what the voices were saying.

" What do you mean you wont tell me." said a sinster sounding voice.

A wobble terrorified voice replied, " Its not that I wont tell you. Its just I can't. "

Now this made Kagome curious and she wants to know what they are talking about. Kagome looks
up at the rock face and decides to climb up to get a better look. She swings her camera to her back ans starts
to climb up till she reaches the top. Reaching the top, Kagome got on her stomach to crawl quietly to the other
edge of the rock face. Kagome peers over the edge sees 8 people or really one human and 7 youkai there.
3 in the stands off in the distance, 2 stands with near the ocean, 1 at the base of the rock wall and 1
kneeling in the sand parell profile to Kagome. The one that really got Kagome's attention was the one standing
in front of the kneeling old youkai. Kagome senses such an uncertain aura from that one youkai. Wanting
a closer look at their faces and auras, Kagome bringings her camera around and looks through the lens.

Kagome focus the lens on the 3 people off in the distance first. Making out that they are women, Kagome looks
on to their aura. Two of the women were youkai by their auras and the other woman had a powerful miko aura
around her person.

' Miko ' Kagome in shock, ' What is doing here with these youkai?'

Kagome snaps their pictures along with their auras to study later.

" Tell me why can't you tell me what I ask. Pray tell why don't you enlighten me."

Moving her camera to the two youkai standing near the ocean and continues to listen to the old youkai and
the evil youkai. Snaping their pictures.

" Why is because the insciptions on them can not be translated just by anyone. It must be done by someone
with extraordinary powers." said the kneeling man

Kagome looks down from her view point and snaps the lone youkai's picture standing at the base af the wall.

" Well I have my own miko with an great amount of power. So why can't she read the inscriptions? Explain
this to me now, Mr. Toutousai." asked the evil man

" The auras around the ancient artifacts will only awaken to a person who also has a pure heart. Only then
when the artifacts show their clues to the where abouts of the precious jewel." explains Toutousai.

At the mention of the ancient artifacts, Kagome swings her camera up. Focusing her camera lens on
the kneeling old youkai and takes his picture.

Kagome pounders to herself, ' Where have I seen him before? I know him but where?'

" So you are telling me that no one save that one pure hearted, powerful person can enter that cave and
that see the clues that the artifacts provide."

Kagome then focuses the camera on the evil youkai, She could not see his face for his back was turned to her.
From what Kagome could see is that the youkai is a tall, lean, slightly built man with long, black, curly hair.
He was wearing a business suit and what looks to be a white pelt of some sort draped over his right
shoulder and around his person. What really got Kagome's attention is that the evil youkai was really a
hanyou. And the aura around him was the most malacious and twisted Kagome had ever seen or felt.
The aura was black and purple in color, swirling, twisting around him like venomus snakes waiting
to strike.

Goosebumps appear and hair stands on end on Kagome as she starts taking the evil hanyou's picture.
Even if it is just his backside.

"Turn around. I want to see your face." mumbles Kagome to herself.

As if to answer Kagome's request the evil hanyou turns and faces her.

" That is right. Besides even if I did know. What makes you think I would tell you." Toutousai said defintely
" I will not help such an evil youkai or should I say hanyou use such a precious jewel for evil purpose."

"You should not speak that way to one such as I, Lord Naraku."

Kagome gazes apon Naraku's face and sees such a handsome face that has be twisted with a harsh evil
expression and crazy look in his red eyes. Kagome begins to tremble but steads her hands so she can get
a picture of Naraku's face.

" Fine, Toutousai, your usefulness has ended. I no longer require your services." declared Naraku

Tentacules shot out of Naraku's body piercing Toutousai's kneeling form. Blood spurts from the places where
the tentacules pierces Toutousai's body. Kagome nearly drops her camera while she watches this sick
display. she puts a hand to her mouth to hold back a scream. Naraku proceeds to tear the body apart,
flinging body parts everywhere. The sand below had already began to soak up the blood.

Kagome becomes nauseated while watching this whole ordeal. Trying not to gag out loud, Kagome lets slip
her masking spell. Her personal scent along with the scent of lilies and roses, wafted out on to the beach
full of youkai. Alerting them that someone was watching. Naraku cease what he is doing and draws in
Kagome's scent along with the scent of blood and fear.

"Someone is here. Find this person that dare intrudes and kill them. They have seen and heard too
much. There is to be no witnesses." Naraku told to his minions.

Kagome heard what he said and knew that the jig was up. She jumps up from her hiding spot and runs towards
the woods on the left. Running on the top of the rock wall as fast as she could.

" Get her! I want her dead!" yelled Naraku

The 3 youkai males raced after Kagome, giving chase. Kagome got to the end of the rock wall, jumps
off and ran into the woods. Not caring where she was going as long she got away as fast as she could.
Kagome hears cursing and yelling behind her, she picks up her speed.

Kagome mutters a pray hoping to lend wings to her feet.
" Please Kami-sama, help me. I don;t want to die.

"Get back here Bitch!"
"You can not escape nor hide from us!"
"Accept your death gracefully!"

Kagome, knowing she can never out run their youkai speed, decided to try something. Stops and turns,
Kagome focus some energy into her hands.

"I hope this works."

Forming enough energy, Kagome releases it to form a barrier streaching a mile wide each way.

" Pray that this will be buy me some time."

On that note, Kagome takes off again.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

"Damn It!"
"You Bitch!"
"I can't move!"

Kagome smiles when she heard them hit the barrier.. Not bothering to look at the comical sight behind her.
Kagome ran to put a good amount of distance between the evil hanyou, his minions, and herself.
She ran and ran till she suddenly bursts out of the woods on to a road. About that same time, a car
was speeding down the road straight towards her.

Kagome's blue-green eyes widen in fear in seeing the car coming right at her.
"Oh Kami-sama, I've got to have the worst luck in the world."

Unable to move due to fear, Kagome closed her eyes and prepares for the car to hit'

" Damn it, where could they fuck be?" Asked an irrated man sitting in the passanger sit of the car.

The foul mouth young man had long, silver-white hair, amber eyes, and a muscular build dressed in tight black
jeans, form fitting red shirt, loose red blazer, and rebooks. The feature that stands out the most about him is
his dog like ears on top of his head. Those ears just screams hanyou for this man. He sits in the sit with his
arms crossed and fuming.

"Please refrain from using obsenites, hanyou." said the driver in a low voice with no emotion. " There is no
need to curse."

The driver also had long silver-white hair but his was more silky looking texture while the hanyou's was rough looking.
Amber eyes but colder and emotionless and leanslightly muscular body. He was dressed in tan colored kaki pant,
white silk dress shirt, and italian loafers. He also had two magnta color strips on each cheek and wrists. Plus a
purple crestent moon on his forehead signles that he was a full-bloodied youkai. Anyone could tell they were
related in a way but very different. For the hanyou was rough and crude and showed his feelings. While the
youkai was distinguish and polite but also colder and untouchable.

"Well I wouldn't if I wasn't pissed off." The youkai raised an eyebrow at that comment. "Besides I thought
you were able to follow them, Sesshoumaru." fumed the hanyou.

" I am more than able to do my job quite well unlike you, Inuyasha. If I remember correctly you were suppose to
be watching their every move. If you were doing your job correctly we would not be out searching for them."
said Sesshoumaru.

"Fuck you"

Sesshoumaru barely restrained himself from rolling his eyes.
While arguing, Sesshoumaru did not see a raven hair girl pop out of the woods and on to the road.

"Shit! Look out Sesshoumaru!" yelled Inuyasha

Sesshoumaru sees the girl stand shock still and will not move. He slammed on the brakes and jerks
the wheel to steer the car to the other side of the lane. The car screeches to a halt. Sesshoumaru puts
the car in park and Inuyasha jumps out.

Inuyasha slams the car door shut and stoms ur to the shell shocked girl. Hearing a door slam shut, Kagome
cautionly opens her eyes to see a man storming toward her.

"What the hell are you doing?" Inuyasha yelled " Did you want to get yourself killed?"

'I'm alive?' Kagome asks herself

"Why don't you say something?!" Inuyasha continued to yell

Sesshoumaru climbs out with more grace and walks up behind Inuyasha.

"There is no need to yell Inuyasha." Sesshoumaru told Inuyasha

Sesshoumaru looks to Kagome and looks her over . From the top of her raven hair head to her delicate
face, along her lean curve body clad in torn, dirty clothes back up to look in her blue-green eyes. All the while
breathing in her scent of lilies and roses with traces of fear and exhaustion with his sensative nose.

'Kind of lovely for a human.' Sesshoumaru thought. Then mentally shook his head for thinking a such
a thing.

Kagome just stares at Inuyasha taking in his features and stops at his ears.

'Kawaii' Kagome wanted to reach out and rub them.

Seeing another walk up, Kagome and looks him over. She could see that this one is taller and have a more
mature, colder, & emotionless attitude. Her senses kicked in telling her that the foul mouth was a hanyou
and the emotionless man was a youkai.

'They are of youkai blood but I don't sense any evil coming from them.' Kagome thought to herself.

Kagome continues to stare at the two of them till one word penetrates her brain.

"Well are you going to speack, you stupid wench." Inuyasha said to Kagome.

Anger laced her scent now and fire appears in her eyes.

"My name is not wench! It's Kagome! Ka-go-me!" Kagome yelled at Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. Causing
them to clamp their claw hands over their ears.

"There is no need to shout woman." Kagome got even more made at that statment. "We can hear you just fine."
Sesshoumaru said in his emotionless voice and removes his hands from his ears.
"Now if you would you be so kind and explain as to why you came out of the woods and stood in the
middle road like you did."

Inuyasha was about to add something to that comment but Sesshoumaru knocked him upside the head.
Inuyasha glares at Sesshoumaru who glares right back. Inuyasha wisely kept his mouth shut.

At Sesshoumaru words. Kagome remembers why she was running and who from. Kagome onces again
becomes fearful and tears swell up in her eyes.

Smelling fear and a salty smell of tears coming off Kagome in waves, Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha knew
something was up.

Inuyasha's eyes held concern fellings in them and reaches to put a comforting hand on Kagome's shoulder.

"Hey what's the matter? Why don't you tell us what the problem is?"

Tears trickle down Kagome's cheeks and she begins to tremble. Kagome was about to speak when
shouting was heard.

"You will now die, Bitch!"
