Chapter Four
The hallways were empty which confirmed she was late. Inside the office was the woman who registered her. She couldn’t quite remember her name though, oh well. There was also a girl sitting in one of the waiting chairs, a student.
“Good morning,” said the woman.
“Good morning, I’m sorry for being late” Rin replied.
“Mrs. Windshaw ” said the girl, she stood up and walked to stand next to her.
“Alright lets get started,” said Mrs. Windshaw. “I forgot to give you your school planner,” She handed Rin a medium size spiral book along with two pieces of paper. “It’s your class schedule, locker number and combination. This is our school representative, Yura, Rin,” she gestured towards to the girl next to her. “She’ll show you to your locker and classes. Also pick you up and take you to your next class and so on. Also tell you general things about the school. If you have any questions come and speak to me anytime,” she finished.
“Let’s get going Rin,” said Yura as she hooked her arm around Rin’s.
“Oh… Okay” said Rin as she was practically dragged out of the office.
“Have a good day,” Rin heard Mrs. Windshaw say.
“Come on, what’s your locker number,” said Yura unhooking her arm. Then loosen her tie so she could unbuttoned the top buttons of her blouse until her cleavage showed. After that she tugged free her hair that was up in a bun, her black hair framed around her face. She grabbed her skirt waist band folding the material over a few times causing the skirt to hike up to reveal her thighs.
“…2081,” said Rin as she watched Yura’s transformation.
“Gotta play good girl for the parental,” said Yura when she noticed Rin’s expression.
“Mrs. Windshaw?”
“Yeah sadly, it was a fling and here I am, come on lets get this over with. Can’t hang out with a transferee for long,” said Yura walking away.
I think I should be insulted. After a moment Rin hurried after her.
“But you two don’t even look alike,” said Rin, once she caught up with Yura.
“Thank God for that, my good looks came from my father, don’t cha think”
“Aaa… yeah”
Yura showed her where her locker was and than on to her first class Physics. Yura also had this class with her. Rin got a textbook and some papers, make up work the teacher said.
-Next, class Calculus
“Oh, so you’re a smart ass, uh. I got a friend who takes this class too so maybe you can help her out. That’s if you’re smart.” Said Yura when Rin told her the class.
“A…ok,”
She just didn’t know how to respond to her.
-Gym/PE
Soccer Field
Rin stood on the far end of the field dressed in black shorts and a white shirt as the goalie. She kept hoping that the ball would stay on the other side. She was never really good at sports, unless you count running away. And any project ails coming towards her, she most likely going to duck and cover. The goal is a big place to guard against a medium size ball. So maybe the team won’t mind if she took a few steps away when it comes flying.
The original goalie had to be taken to the nurse’s office, because a boy with silver hair kicked the ball so hard that it broke the middle finger of the person that was trying to catch it. Other then that the gym teacher would have let her sit for today. So, ball stay over there.
But of course she was the unluckiest person in the world, okay she was over doing it a bit, but still it felt like it. The silver head boy came charging her way, kicking the ball. He’s fast; the other players were far behind.
Come on somebody!
This was the point where someone from her team comes out of nowhere and steals the ball away. Dodging all the other players, while during tricks and things. Then, finally, scoring a goal, by doing a back flip or something.
That only happened in the movies, right? Well… Yeah… Okay she could at least hope, something like that would happen.
Okay if she tried to block the ball and break her finger then she could sit out most of the gym activities.
The only question was would the pain be worth it?
He kicked the ball.
No! Of course not, but one of her new school resolutions was to try, don’t sit out on the stay lines like she use to.
He hit the ball at an angle it flew to the right. Rin drove to block it, but she was off and the ball it her on the shoulder. She fell to the ground in a tuff. She looked up and saw the black and white soccer ball in front of her.
“Inuyasha lighten up” she heard the teacher say.
Standing up with the ball, Rin noted that her shoulder hurt a little. She was about to throw the ball to a teammate, but the bell rung. Dropping it she turned to go in.
“Hey! New girl.”
“Yes,” she said turning towards the voice.
It was the guy with silver hair, Inuyasha she thought the teacher said. He jogged up to her.
“You ok.”
“Uh?”
“When the ball hit you, you hurt?”
“No, I’m fine,” she said. It really didn’t hurt that much, it was a dull throb now.
“Good,” He turned and left jogging towards a girl.
“Happy now,” Rin heard him say to the girl.
-Lunch
Lunch was uneventful Yura took her there saying the cafeteria was for freshmen and sophomore. The courtyard for juniors and seniors, Rin being a senior and was push off into the courtyard. Then Yura took off.
The bell took to long to ring. She failed her second new school resolution: to join in and talk. But she sat off to the side munching on her food.
The bell finally rang.
Rin went to the spot where she would meet up with Yura again.
Minutes pass and lesser students walked the hallways. And a little more time pass and the bell rang signaling the fifth period has started. Yura stood her up, Rin thought. She took out her schedule; next class is History Honors room 254. She’ll have to find it herself. Or try and the find office.
Through she waited a few seconds more, just in case, Yura showed up. She didn’t. The stairs case is near so she decided look for the room.
Upstairs room numbers started 209, 210 and so on.
Rin took out the school planner she was given. Earlier when she was flipping through the pages, she noticed it had a map of the school.
She was about here and 254 is… not even close. She routed what she hoped was the quickest way and started off.
250, 251, 252…253…270???
“Mmmm…” She mumbled.
She turned around to back track, but hit something firm and warm. Stumbling back a couple of steps to regain her balance. “Sorry” she instantly said to a clothed chest.
She looked up and saw two piecing gold eyes. They stared down at her in annoyance.
“Um… Do you know where 254 is?”
He raised a single eyebrow.
“How dare you ask me a question, you insignificant worm. Do you know who I am?”
Okay he didn’t say that. Yes, her imagination ran out of control sometimes. But even though he only moved an eyebrow and nothing else his expression spoke values. She could feel her heart speeding up.
“On your left” he said.
She glanced to her left and the little sign read 254. Now, she felt stupid it was so close; bowing her head she mumbled her thanks before power walking in to the classroom.
-History Honors
The room went quiet as she stepped through the doorway. Everyone was silent as they stared at the newcomer. She walked to the teacher and showed him her schedule.
“Right you’re the new student, okay have a seat next to Kagome. Raise your hand Kagome,” The teacher said.
A hand poked out in the middle and Rin crossed the room and took a seat aside from her in the empty desk.
“Hey welcome,” Said Kagome “Here’s your book.”
She took the textbook. It had papers stuff between the pages. Probably work she to learn in order to catch up.
“Rin you won’t be taking the test, not unless you don’t you to. You got the book and pack its from Kagome?” asked the teacher.
“Yes.”
“Alright,” Saying to the whole class now. “We can either review as a class or you can break up into groups and study. Only up to five people per group and don’t get too loud.”
The class voted for groups, and everyone started pulling desks together forming little circles. Rin sat there for a moment watching, thinking. ‘No fair I don’t know anyone.’ Okay she wasn’t going to fail her new school resolution again…
“Hey.”
“Uh” she said looking towards the voice, it was Kagome.
“Come join us.”
“Okay,” She answered.
Rin wedged her desk between Kagome and Inuyasha she recognized him from gym. Kagome introduced her to the rest of the group. “This is Inuyasha, Sango, and Miroku.”
“Hi” she said.
Then, Miroku leaned across his desk and grabbed Rin’s hand. “Beautiful, teenage lady will you bear my children. You will won’t you?”
Before she could answer, Sango grabbed the collar of Miroku’s shirt and yanked him back into in seat, thus letting go of her hand. After Miroku got some air in his lungs he said to Sango, “What?” All innocent, like nothing was wrong.
“You know ‘What’ and you call yourself a monk,” said Sango.
“I am a monk, my ancestors were all noble monks and so am I,” declared Miroku.
“Noble my ass,” Inuyasha chirmed in, “Your just a straight perv.”
“It’s been a tradition in my family to ask every woman I see to bare my children. My uncle says I must have ten kids by time I’m twenty.” Miroku defended.
“That’s the dumbest excuse I have ever heard,” said Sango.
“You know, you can break tradition,” said Kagome.
“And you complain about always having to baby-sit your nieces and nephews, while your uncle who still lives with his mother, works to pay all his child sub port to his baby’s mama’s.” said Sango.
“But I love them from the button of my heart.”
“Don’t lie, you rather beat them kids silly to shut them up,” said Inuyasha.
Everyone laughed. Rin smile thinking this conservation sounded kind of familiar.
“Okay lets study,” said Kagome.
Taking turns they each fired off questions at each other. Rin just listen adsorbing the information. The time went fast and soon the bell rang. Packing up, the class put the desks back in order.
“Kagome do you know where 212 is,” asked Rin once they were in the hall.
“Yeah, that’s my next class, Sango’s too.”
“Really.”
“Don’t you have a representative showing you around?” asked Sango.
“Yeah, Yura, but she never came to get me after lunch.”
“Yura Zinta?” asked Inuyasha.
“I don’t know her last name,” Rin answered.
Inuyasha was about to explain, but Kagome cut in before he could, “Let’s get to class before we’re late.” And with that they parted ways, Inuyasha and Miroku one-way and they the other.
“So what’s with Yura Zinta,” Rin asked.
“Well, she liked this nice perfect girl on the outside, but evil bitch inside.”
-English
The assignment was independent reading, a novel. Rin had a seat assigned to her, but it wasn’t near Kagome or Sango seats. She had to play major catch-up. She was given a textbook and the novel and a bunch of worksheets. The teacher said she would have to read up to the point in the book where the class is by Friday and make up all the tests the class already took. And look up and define, then put into sentences for vocabulary words in the novel.
The bell finally rang thank goodness she thought the woman would pile more work on her. In the hall, Kagome said “Sorry, we should have warned you about her. Ever since her husband divorce her and not to mention what Sango said she been making everyone suffer.”
“What you say?” Asked Rin.
A smirk settled on Sango face, “I’ll tell you later.”
“What? It’s that bad,” She asked Kagome.
“Yep.”
-Computer Lab.
Last class of the day, finally.
She had this class with Kagome and Sango too. And when she walk into the room Inuyasha and Miroku were there too.
There wasn’t a book for this class, Rin silently cheered; her book bag was too heavy. And she didn’t have to play catch up. The lesson was simple and she finished in no time.
“Rin, do you IM?” whispered Sango.
“Yes.”
“Login in”
“Is that ok”
“Yeah the only thing the school block is if someone looks up porn”
“Who would do that?” Rin asked.
“He isn’t here today, but I’ll pick him out if you want me to.”
“No that okay, I’m logging in.”
Shychild joins room
Shychild: Whats up

Slayer: sorry shy I’ll tell later
Mikobabe: so everyone test tomorrow study chat at 8pm u can tell her then Slayer
They all agreed and logged out, then shutdown the computers because they were the last class of the day. The bell rang. Rin waved good-bye to them and walked to the front of the school. Outside other teenagers were getting into their parents cars and leaving. Her mother wasn’t here yet.
After waiting around for about twenty minutes, a car drove up to the front of the school. She was sitting on the steps reading the English novel. “Rin come on honey,” her mother said, through a rolled down window.
She grabbed her book bag and walked down the steps to the car. Inside her mother drove home.
“Rin,” her mother began, “Naraku’s coming over for dinner.”
Just blunt like that, no Rin how was your day. Just straight to Naraku, Naraku, Naraku!
Where’s my real mother?
“Naraku has a daughter,” her mother continued.
“Uh,” Rin said paying attention again.
“She’s not that much older then you, a big sister,”
I don’t want a big sister! I want to be an only child with all my single mother’s attention, with all her use to be over protect ness.
“Naraku’s bringing her so you two can meet each other.”
“What’s her name?” she asked.
“Yura.”
