He's Way Better

Hey whats up? Sorry I haven't updated in a long time hehe. With basketball and school I don't have time to post even though its all done. Hehe. Thank you for choosing this story and now on to the story.


From Pervious chapter:
“What did this?"

"Those damn birds, those damn Birds of Paradise, and they brought him back
with a message, 'Were going to get your shards of the Shikon Jewel and those of the miko girl's.'

What laid before Kagome was a man or what was left of him. His body was slashed
and cut into ribbons. Blood gushed from the gashes of the dead man. Koga turned her
body back towards him so she wouldn't be staring at the gruesome sight before them.

"I thought that they weren't after the Shikon Jewel after we destroyed their leader,"
said Kagome.

"They weren't until about a month ago when they came back and started going after our warriors. They strangely got up and left when their leader was gone, but we heard from villages that they had seen birds swoop down and take people and of a new bird that had joined them," replied Koga in a strained voice.

"Do you think that that bird was the one who had them come back when he heard of the jewel shards you possess?"

"Most definitely. When they first came back it was only one or two members that were killed but we were expecting that. Until now ... we didn't think this was going to happen."
"What are you going to do Koga?" asked Kagome.

"Right now were going to get rid of this body by having 2 men bury him, and then were going to make strategies, plan and prepare for war. This is a threat to us Kagome and we will get rid of them."

"If that's how you feel then I will be right by your side as before."

"Kagome its dangerous and I couldn’t concrete knowing you could be in possible danger."

"Go to your men they need you and we can talk later," she said and reached up and gave him a chaste kiss on the lips and walked back to their bed.


Kagome's POV


`So the birds of Paradise are back and with a bloody message. Poor Koga he lost
another member of his clan he takes it really hard.' `But I do wonder how they knew I
was here. Were they spying on me? I thought I felt something watching me when I
was with Koga. Either way no matter what Koga said I'm going to be fighting and that's. Little to him and Inuyasha I've been secretly training with Sesshoumaru to be a
better fighter, and learning from Kaede how to strengthen my miko powers and my
archery. While the Inuyasha, Mirko, Sango and Kilala take care most of all the demons
some take the opportunity to come after Shippo and me for the jewel shards. When
Naraku sent a horde of demons after us and some managed to get passed them and
came after Shippo and me. We nearly died that day if it wasn't for Sesshoumaru.

"You stupid girl don't you know to protect yourself when Inuyasha isn't around?" His cold amber eyes stared at me in contempt, but he never left me defenseless. He just
stood there until Inuyasha was through and when he was done he turned and told me,
"If you don't want to an incompetent, weak human then meet me at my castle tonight.
I'm sure that my little brother won't care. My dragon will be here so get on him and he'll
take you to the castle."

With that he got on his cloud and floated away. No one saw him save Shippo so no one knew where I went. I gradually grew better and more powerful. I had learned spells to keep everyone in the dark so they wouldn't pester me with questions. Now that I can fight with the best of them and not depend on Inuyasha. "Inuyasha," she uttered softly. As much as it pains me to say it to myself Inuyasha doesn't love me, when he looks at me all he sees is Kikyo. While that use to upset me it doesn't as much anymore. Sesshoumaru's and Kaede's training has allowed me to concrete and let go of my feelings. Oh well, can't have everything in life, but I'm happy to be with Koga. I'm actually a little sad nothing more happened between us, but by the time that I said I was going to say he'll be begging me to stay here she thought smirking.


End Kagome POV

After about an hour Koga came back to where Kagome was lying there sleeping. `She
looks so peaceful lying there despite the troubles that burden her shoulders.' When
leaned down to wake her, her hand snaked out, grabbed his and dragged him below her
and straddled him. "Kagome," he said in shock, "what are doing?"

"Oh sorry Koga I didn't know it was you," she said as he got off of him.

"Is there something you want to tell me?"

"Like what?" she said to him as she turned to face him with a puzzled look.

"Uh like that, maybe?"

"Oh its nothing you need to worry about," she said and quickly changing the subject.


"What are you going to do?"

"Were going to attack at dawn, we’re going to take the rest of the day and prepare." "And as I said before your not going to fight with me."

"Koga, Hun, sorry to inform you, but I will be there and I can take care of myself. With or without your word I will be there I've been in battles and I'm still here today."

"Kagome," started Koga with a tired sigh, but before he could start or finish his thought Kagome gave him an all out hot steamy kiss tongue and all. "I'm going and unless you wanna sleep alone tonight I suggest you drop it got it?" Koga nodded and had a slightly glazed look. They walked up the opening of the cave and walked out to the cliff and looked around. The peaceful serene surroundings belied the battle that was going to unfold the next day.

Rest of the day pasted uneventfully as the members made sure their weapons were in
perfect shape and they also got their minds ready. As night fell all movement ceased
until everyone was asleep anticipating the fight that will happen the next morning. Koga
and Kagome settled down on his bed and curled up against each other. They nuzzled
each other, kissed each other and then fell asleep together. Then Koga put a kiss on
Kagome's forehead and said," I love you."
