Too Much Time On Their Hands

Inuyasha’s emotion state did not get much better and soon he was put on medication to help since he was starting to really stress out. Inuyasha was going through a serious emotional breakdown and depression that had to be fixed with wild mood swings that were worse than before.

The honeymoon was cut short and everyone was sent home to Japan. Inuyasha became very ill. Something was wrong inside of him. Eventually a cyst was found by Dr. Hojo that had been blocking his intestines keeping him from defecation and that was making him very ill. At the same time his appendix was removed. It was a rather quick surgery, but Inuyasha had to remain at the hospital for two weeks. Of course his appendix just grew right back so there was really no point to that surgery.

Megan and Sesshoumaru stayed with him the whole time sleeping on cots. The kids came to visit their parents, but were not allowed to stay the night nor the whole day as tutors were brought in to teach them like Sesshoumaru wanted. They went to a recreation center every other evening for just fun classes and Jimmy was learning from his family the traditions of the samurai.

Tsukiya was doing well in his martial arts classes with Jimmy. They were both very good with the staff with Miroku training them even with Kouga protesting it was not safe since the boys might accidentally hit the babies in his abdomen. Miroku growled that he was no novice and proved it on more than one occasion. Miroku was a master at the staff, the numb chucks, and hand to hand combat. Kouga took the boys running and built up their stamina. Sometimes they would both come to see their parents looking very tired. Still this was good for them.

Time seemed to fly as Megan started her mood swings late in the pregnancy except instead of being funny they were rather frightening. She would wake up from nightmares fearing she was dying or that she was all alone. Sesshoumaru had her checked by Akiyoshi who was confounded by these problems since this was a strange thing. It was not unusual to have nightmares on occasion, but not every night. Megan said she kept hearing a voice haunting her in the night. Paranormal experts were brought in. They indeed had a poltergeist in the castle and it was not a friendly one either. After looking at Megan’s arms and legs with bruise marks from this thing Sesshoumaru wanted it out of his home. He watched over Megan every night and took turns with Kouga since the pregnant males were too far along to handle watch duty although they would do so for Megan.

Ayame and Miroku really could not get out of bed. They were so large with pup they were indeed put on bed rest completely until the pups came. Akiyoshi stated he might have to bring Miroku’s pups out of the world a bit early since his body was stretching too much for a man and it could kill him. Kouga was so stressed out, but Dr. Hojo was with Miroku during the nights he could not be.

It was really early in the morning and Kouga was worn out. He and the others hoped perhaps Kagome had some luck in finding out what was causing their Megan to have these bruises and such terrible dreams. The phone rang startling Kouga. Sesshoumaru picked up the phone as it rang waking up as Kouga went to go reach for it. Sesshoumaru waved Kouga off to go home now that he was awake. Kagome was on the other line.

“I know what spirit is haunting your castle and I am on my way.”

Kagome rushed in her car hoping she would get there in time. She had the talismans and other objects with her. They had to get Sesshoumaru and his family out of there now until the old castle was cleansed. Parking the car she felt the doors. They were like ice. Still she would be damned if this spirit thought it could stop her. Slamming her miko powers that she still possessed against the door it flew open wide.

“How dare you try to keep me from my family!”

Kagome growled as she stormed through the doors. Several sinister voices whispered in her ears as she heard the demons cursing her miko purity in this demonic home.

“I am also one of you so give me room. I only come to remove the one who is causing pain here.”

The voices stopped and a spirit came before her. It was Sesshoumaru’s beautiful Mother.

“We try to keep that one at bay, but he comes back to haunt here. You are not an Inu demon, but you smell of some of our blood. How is that so miko demon wolf?”

Kagome sighed as she showed the spot in her chest where the jewel of four souls was imbedded into her body again. It didn’t just disappear. The damn thing was stubborn.

“It disappeared from the world with the right wish back into me. Apparently the jewel of four souls is and has always been a part of me. Now it is me and has given me the power to help others since it is no longer tainted. It is no longer cursed. Still a demon resides inside and I am just as much that demon as the human miko I used to be.”

Sesshoumaru’s Mother nodded.

“My name is Empress Louna Hoshimi Kiko Takahashi Tashio. My husband Emperor Toga Candranatha Tashio was the Great Ruler here and even he could not control this spirit child so if he cannot than I doubt there are any who can. What makes you think you can?”

Kagome sighed. She did not know she just felt it and she always went with her feelings.

“I my Lady am not like others. I like Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru do not ever give up on anything in life. I may make sacrifices for others, but it does not mean I ever gave up on the things I wanted the most. Sesshoumaru by being his brother’s mate has Tessaiga and Bakusaiga at his side. Inuyasha has his brother’s tensaiga to keep him safe.’
“We are all greedy creatures and at the same time we love very fiercely with all of our hearts. I stand by them even at the cost of my life. I have lost it once and I am not afraid to lose it again for them. Here though it is your sons I must protect and their children. It is my duty and I accepted this burden a long time ago.”

The Queen smiled at the beautiful young girl.

“Good answer since if you were my son I might not help you. Sesshoumaru has his charming moments as of late, but he is still lacking in manners as far as coming to visit our graves. His Father and I do appreciate our sons visiting us on occasion. Izayoi was not my enemy, my son’s pride and his anger had been. Still we move forward and after all of this time I would hope he will not forget us.”

Kagome smiled at the lovely Queen.

“So then, little miko demon, let’s begin this journey into my home. You would get lost trying to find them without my guidance. This palace is a lot larger then it seems and there are many traps in here. You do not wish to fall into them or lose your way. Get my precious family out of this place so we can battle the evil here safely and we as family of old demon spirits will help you remove our curse.”

Kagome nodded and followed the Queen who was so much like Sesshoumaru. She seemed cold in some ways like him, but when she had that slight smirk to her lips it was as though they were the same person. She was so beautiful and her son was breathtaking. Sesshoumaru was indeed a man of dreams and was created by two gorgeous creatures that she now got to see in spirit form. It was a rare privilege for any living being.

“You flatter me my dear. Thank you. I know my Sesshoumaru would prefer to look like his handsome Father, but Inuyasha does that enough and tickles my fancy the way he acts so much like Inu No Tashio. Touga was quite the temperamental child at times and that pout always seemed to get me to bend for him. Izayoi was that boy’s best charm though. Inuyasha has beautiful eyes that rival his Father’s. Humans go to other relms so unfortunately Izayoi cannot be here to greet her son although we have always considered them both part of our beloved pack. You were in love with Inuyasha once, but allowed my arrogant cold son to have you. Why?”

Kagome blushed at the question. Still it was not a shameful memory for her and it was in the past. Kagome had Akiyoshi now that she loved very much and so life was good. Sesshoumaru still was one of her darkest and best fantasies.

“Sesshoumaru is mature and handsome. He is hard to resist my Lady. I don’t think a woman in her right mind would turn him down if he were to offer her what he did to me. Then again he kind of just took it, but I was not complaining in the slightest. I would not have ever thought such a man as the demon Lord himself would bother with a human miko at that time.”

Sesshoumaru’s Mother smiled as if she knew a great secret as her fan touched her lips.

“My son was the one who taught his Father to love humans. My son wanted Izayoi and lost. Touga won her and I was pleased with this. Sesshoumaru resented us for it. Still it was for the best and the results of Inuyasha had been worth the small amount of his hurt pride.'
"Sesshoumaru received Tensaiga the most powerful sword in the world and shunned it. My proud son Sesshoumaru was rarely grateful for anything we did for him. He did not have the patience at the time to try to understand us. We gave him what he wanted.'
"With the ability to consistently heal himself Sesshoumaru has always had ultimate power and so therefore finding a conquest he was searching so hard for was impossible. His fight was with himself and battling that stubborn pride that the men in our family keep like a badge of honor is one of his many bad habits. This is why we are cursed. Our curse was the fault of the many times Great Grandfather of Touga. Tensaiga is the key, but you are the door.’
“Sesshoumaru may stay, but if Megan or Inuyasha are here they will be injured. Tessaiga will protect Megan and Inuyasha as long as they are out of harm’s way. That was why it was created. To protect the living and tensaiga to destroy life as well as bring it back. It is truly a weapon only a King of Demons should wield. Any other would not be worthy.’
“My Grandchildren will live on as we Inu’s even in spirit protect what is ours. This is our home and we will remain here with our family forever. We were not ever far from him or Inuyasha. I would not abandon my boys. I find Inuyasha to be as much mine as Sesshoumaru and this is why I was so angry at them both. Inuyasha should not have run from us and Sesshoumaru should not have caused him to feel like he had to. This was his home and he should have been welcomed. I knew what he was and Sesshoumaru had forgotten. That cannot happen again.”

Kagome was surprised at this news and listened intently to the soft spoken beautiful Queen’s spirit as they finally came upon the room. Empress Louna’s face looked terrified.

“We must hurry. It is coming!”

Kagome with the power of purity opened the door as the Queen stood back.

“I cannot stay child. You must get them out. Your purification powers are too strong and I will be destroyed sent away from my family.”

Kagome heard a terrifying roar. Then rushing into the room she looked at Sesshoumaru. Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru’s eyes glowed brilliant red. Megan’s body was torn to shreds. Shaking her head this illusion faded and then Kagome understood. If that thing got in here then the brothers would probably kill Megan.

“Sesshoumaru wake up!”

Kagome stated as she shoved at the sleeping demon. Sesshoumaru bolted up with his claws ready to strike then Kagome saw the sword cane as Sesshoumaru’s eyes glowed red being woken so roughly in his slumber. Grasping the burning sword in her hand she laid it on him bringing Sesshoumaru back. Then racing after tessaiga did the same to Inuyasha who started growling.

“We have to get Inuyasha, Jimmy, Tsukiya, and Megan out of here. It is coming. Do not let go of the swords or you will lose to your demon selves.”

Looking at the window Sesshoumaru wrapped Megan in the blankets. Inuyasha grasped his pants pulling them on getting a small blush from Kagome who had not seen him naked in years and that illusion that hid his pregnancy made him look like he once did when they had been in love. He looked better than any fantasy. Kagome shook her head. Now was not the time to think like Miroku always done in the pack around the women.
Racing with their precious bundles they jumped out the window then placing a hand on Inuyasha Kagome willed him and Megan to pass out on the ground outside with the jewel’s power to keep them from harm. Sesshoumaru looked at Megan and Inuyasha.

“Why did you do that to my mates Kagome?”

Kagome raced back into the castle.

“We don’t have time for this! I will explain it all later I promise. We have to get the children out!”

Sesshoumaru raced ahead of Kagome getting both boys out of bed running out that same window as he felt something claw his back only to have Kagome fill with light pushing something back from him. It hurt like hell, but Sesshoumaru put the kids down and told them to sleep as he placed a spell on them that caused them to fall into instant slumber.

“Kagome what the fuck is that thing!”

Sesshoumaru stated looking at the half dog demon half something else. It almost looked like half dragon. Suddenly the spirit of his Father was next to him.

“Damnit Sesshoumaru, go get Tensaiga from outside boy! I cannot believe you just threw your sword again! You are not to fight without it. We spirits can protect them. You can’t fight King Arashi Harou Tashio without Tensaiga! He will kill you and it does not matter that he is a spirit! He was not called the Great Tsunami for nothing boy!”

Sesshoumaru growled at his Father since his sword was out protecting his family.

“I can’t protect my family if it is with me. It is outside doing its job with tessaiga. It took me a long time to get over the idea you gave me a cast off or unwanted piece of Tessaiga Father. You could have explained things a long time ago, but you don’t until the last fucking minute.”

Inu No Tashio pulled his son’s hair roughly and Sesshoumaru was shocked that his Father could do this. He was only standing in boxer shorts too so this was rather embarrassing considering his Father was splendidly dressed as he had been at death in fine armor.

“You will do as you are told my brat of a son! Tessaiga is protecting them Sesshoumaru even when it is not next to them. Your sword is no fucking fang to just throw away. I gave you all you asked for so go fetch it like I told you to before you really piss me off son.”

Sesshoumaru frowned and grumbled that his Father was an overbearing asshole as he got the damn sword with Tessaiga. Next thing he knew he was inside of the room wearing some kind of strange armor looking almost as splendid as his Father. Problem was Father was a spirit so he sparkled looking ethereal. Sesshoumaru was flesh, blood, and bone so he did not have that shimmer although Kagome thought it was impossible for Sesshoumaru to look even more gorgeous then he did. She was so wrong as Sesshoumaru now moved closer to her as he stood before her looking like the true King he was and although his other armor was incredible this was even more so. Sesshoumaru was now beyond what should be allowed since no man had the right to look that good. Sesshoumaru’s Mother appeared by his Father and smirked dusting off the armor on her son a bit.

“It suits you Sesshoumaru. It is bright, attention catching, vain, arrogant, accentuates everything you want to show off, and Lordly making you look like the true King of Demons. It is all you with your lack of charm to add to its merit unless something did indeed change?”

Sesshoumaru’s Father tried not to laugh at his son who was growling at his parents picking on him. The armor was indeed something that made a man who shines almost look too bright and rather vain.

“Nice to see you too Mother so do you mind telling me what the fuck that is?”

As Kagome’s barrier ended stepping back as the giant beast moved towards them. Kagome stood by Sesshoumaru and Inu No Tashio with his wife pulled her back.

“This is our son’s battle now miko demon. It is time for you to sleep with the others. Inu demons are the only ones allowed this honor so Inuyasha come forth!”

Father called as Kagome was outside unable to get in. Inuyasha came into the castle. Sesshoumaru’s Mother rolled her eyes at her husband’s dramatics.

“You are such a show off dear.”

Inu No Tashio held something shimmering in his fingers. It was the jewel of four souls.

“Go now from this world jewel your work is done.”

The jewel disappeared. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha frowned.

“How the hell was that thing here again? I thought Kagome got rid of it.”

Inuyasha stated softly. Sesshoumaru’s Mother came over to touch Inuyasha’s belly than started to play with those ears. His Father did the same thing as King Arashi Harou Tashio turned back into his humanoid form. He was the very first dragon Inu of the Inu pack and had been stuck under that damn cursed jewel's spell turning him into a raging monster. Now it was here and would be gone for good.

"Thank the heavens that thing is gone! I thought I would not ever be back to normal."

Inu No Tashio looked at his Father with a withering glance that would make Sesshoumaru’s look rather plain in comparison.

"Father you were not ever normal."

King Arashi Harou Tashio whacked his son on the back of the head and now Sesshoumaru knew for certain where he got that natural disciplinary trait from. It was indeed an Inu family tradition to whack unruly sons on the back of the head.

"Hey that hurt you know!"

Inu No Tashio growled as his Father hugged him and then came to check out his two young Grandsons as well as his Great Grandchildren. Inu No Tashio was checking out Megan through the window wondering what kind of woman enthralled his sons while Sesshoumaru's Mother was causing poor Inuyasha to blush even more as she hugged him.

"I have missed you my little imp. Inuyasha you have grown up to be so very handsome just like your Father and you do have your Mother’s beautiful eyes."

Inuyasha always thought Sesshoumaru's Mother was beautiful. She was the second most beautiful woman in his mind with his Mother being the first of course. Now though Megan was second to none in his eyes. She was his mate and that made her even more special in his heart. Megan was to bear his pup and that was the best thing in the whole world for Inuyasha who for years believed he could not ever have a child of his own blood unless he was carrying them himself now that he was a demon.

“I bring now Tsukiya, Jimmy, and Megan! Kagome you are free and your burdens are done. You will be as you are forever more for your sacrifices. You are now a pack member. Your family is accepted and has been worthy of us all. Your mate Prince Akiyoshi Hojo awaits you now go!”

With a flick of Inu No Tashio’s wrist Kagome was sent home to Akiyoshi. The jewel was gone. Still she was a demon and she could feel it. Rushing to the mirror she then saw what the Inu brother’s Father was referring to. Kagome was changed forever.
