Returning To You

Chapter Thirty


Kagome was laying in the bed while Sango had decided to take a much needed shower before heading to bed. She wanted to know what had happened earlier but knew she shouldn't press her friend. If she felt like talking then Sango could come to her. Anger filled her as she thought of Kurama, couldn't the stupid man see that her friend was in love with him. Yet he continued to treat her like shit, she knew something had happened between them.

She'd seen Sango run into the bathroom out the corner of her eye. How long had she been gone and what had happened? Her instincts told her that they had been together. But she had no proof, had no clue as to why her friend was hurting so.

Just like her to worry about someone else's problems before her own. She didn't know what to do about herself much less be able to help Sango. Her mind went back to the one kiss Hiei had given her. A part of her wanted him to kiss her again maybe more. But he hadn't bothered her since not in that way. She noticed that he tended to be near her a lot. Was it because he thought she needed protection or because he liked her?

Whatever the reason, he was near and she found that she liked it. She knew that she liked the small youkai which didn't make any sense to her. She didn't hardly know anything about him. Life was suddenly becoming too complicated. Something told her that day the sky was falling she should have listened to her grandfather and stayed inside.

Sango let the hot water wash over her. The temperature was high enough to cause her skin to turn red, she ignored it and continued to wash. The soap suceeded in removing the remains of both Kurama and Kuronue from her skin.

She wasn't sure what to do as far as Kurama was concerned. He really didn't seem to care about her at all. She thought of asking him but feared the answer. The last time she thought of seeing how he felt it hadn't turned out how she'd hoped. She didn't want to give up on him, he meant too much to her. What could she do though?

The water was turned off and she stepped out. Several minutes later she was dressed and ready to head to bed. The bathroom door opened and she stepped out to stop in her tracks. Hiei and Kurama were in the room talking to Kagome. The miko didn't look too happy at the moment to say the least. Her face was red and her head swung around the moment the bathroom door opened.

"Whats going on?"

"Don't worry about it, cause it isn't going to happen." Kagome crossed her arms, she looked funny trying to stand her ground while sitting indian style on the bed.

"What isn't?" She kept her eyes on her friend. Something told her she might not want the answer.

"They want to change the sleeping arrangements for tonight." At Sango's confused look she continued. "Let me make it clear, I am to share a room with Hiei and you are to share one with HIM." She made the word him sound nasty. The insult was intentional.

"Stop squawking woman, it is for your friend's safety." Hiei growled at her.

"How do you figure that one?" Kagome wasn't buying it.

"Let me explain." Kurama spoke up finally. "I have discussed a few things with Kuronue, the one responsible may come after Sango also for revenge. Five centuries we invaded and killed the Lord of the North, for revenge. We made sure that he knew why we were torturing him. We made the mistake and let the son live, he is the one behind it."

"Whats that got to do with Sango?"

"Because she is the reason we went there. To avenge her death. There is a good chance he might have recognized her as the woman his father supposedly killed. We killed him because he attacked her and thought to have killed her."

"Oh," Kagome sighed.

Sango listened to what he had to say. It made sense that the son might have been there that day, but she hadn't gotten a good look at any of the men that had been there today. It was possible. Why had Kurama gone after him? Then again she had saved him then almost died because of it, he might have felt the need to retaliate. "Fine." Not like it mattered if she stayed in a room with him, he wouldn't touch her. She was sure he'd do his best to ignore her completely. Besides it might do Kagome some good to be alone with Hiei. Maybe she'd stop looking at the man with those silly puppy dog eyes.

"You can't be serious." Kagome felt her jaw drop. She didn't want to be alone with Hiei for the night, who knew what would happen. The thought made her blush, "Hey, you can't leave me."

"Grow up." Hiei's voice sounded harsh.

"Shut up."

Kagome tried to ignore the small man as she prepared to go to sleep. So far he'd stared out the damn window the whole time. Maybe he wasn't going to try anything with her. Disappointment filled her for some reason. He didn't have to totally ignore her.

She layed down on the bed and stretched, a content moan escaped her. She heard a growl from near the window but ignored it. Excuse her if she was interfering with his moon gazing.

Hiei watched as the girl proceeded to lay down on the bed with her legs bent at the knees. He felt himself harden as she threw her arms over her head causing the shirt to lift enough to give him a view of her flat stomach and of her trim waist. A moan escaped her lips causing his blood to rush, she had her back arched, lifting her firm breast into the air.

He watched as her tongue came out to lick her bottom lip, his groin tightened. He wondered if she was doing it all on purpose, tempting him. Did she realize how close she was of having him coming over there and tearing her clothes off. His eyes widened when she turned on her side giving him a splendid view of her backside.

The shorts were very thin, he could see the outline of the panties she wore beneath. The material clung to her showing off the round curves. Her hand came to rest on her hip, beckoning him to feel for himself.

Kagome tried to ignore him, since he was being grouchy. She sighed, she had been worried he'd try to make a move on her. He hadn't even tried to kiss her again. That she wouldn't mind, it had been amazing. It had caused her body to react in a strange way, thinking about it started having the same effect. She blushed when she felt the strange tension between her legs, just from thinking about him kissing her.

Hiei smelt it the second she became aroused, his pants suddenly became too tight. He had the door locked and was over her before she took her next breath.

Kagome opened her eyes when she felt him suddenly very near. They closed once more when his mouth closed over hers. It caused the same reaction as last time, she felt her toes curl and her body came to life. He forced her mouth open, sliding his tongue inside. She responded in kind, bringing her own to meet his.

His mouth continued to explore hers, tasting every inch of her warm cavern. He pushed her so she was lying flat on her back. She could feel moisture building between her legs, just from him claiming her mouth.

His hands went to her shirt pulling it over her head leaving her breasts bare to his gaze. She blushed as he stared down at her. His eyes were taking her in, wanting to see every inch. His hand came up to cup a firm globe, his thumb ran over the peak. It hardened as he flicked over it, calling for attention. He answered by lowering his head taking it into his mouth.

Kagome's back arched as he took the nipple in his hot mouth. She felt his tongue glide over the small pebble, it made the ache between her legs intensify. A moan escaped her when his other hand found it's twin and lightly pinched it between his thumb and forefinger. He began to suck lightly, she rubbed her legs together trying to ease the tension.

Every nerve in her body seemed to be connected there as he began to rub her. She felt the suction on her nipple become harder as his finger found something new. The tension was almost too much for her, she called out his name. He applied more pressure and captured her mouth with his. She felt the tension peak as his finger began to move vigoriously. It broke and she felt a wave of pleasure consume her body.

Kagome felt him rubbing his member at her entrance and almost panicked. His mouth came back down on her removing any protest she might have. He held still waiting for the pain to pass and for her to adjust to him. When her breathing calmed some, he tried moving. She was tight around him making him want to thrust into her fast. He moved slowly, looking for any sign that she was in pain.

Kagome was expecting it to hurt when he began to move once more. She was a little tender at first but it soon turned into a pleasant friction. He was moaning over her as he moved his hips, the sound caused excitement to fill her. She began lifting her hips to meet his thrusts, soon her moans filled the room along with his.

Hiei wasn't sure how much longer he could last, she was meeting his thrust perfectly. He found himself burying his member deep inside her. Her screams of pleasure was causing him to lose control, he wanted to hear his name as she came.

He felt her walls begin to clench trying to pull him deeper. He picked up one of her legs, throwing it over his arm. She gasped at the sensation, he picked up his speed. She had no choice but to lay there as he drove into her. Her body began to shake as her release hit her, she called out to him. Hearing it caused him to fall over the edge, he felt his seed leave his body as the pleasure took him.

He didn't move for several moments while he came down. He released her leg and rolled over bringing her with him. He pulled her leg up to rest on him, she wrapped her arm over his chest. His hand went to her hair, he placed a kiss on her forehead. "Get some rest."

Kagome closed her eyes as he held her. She'd never imagine that it would feel like that. As she drifted off to sleep, something told her that it would only feel that way with Hiei.
