Inuyasha sat stunned, unable to blink. He suddenly realized that he couldn’t run away from this. Kagome sat, still staring at him. Her eyes flashed with hope. Inuyasha still said nothing. As the seconds passed, her eyes lost their twinkle. She lowered her head.
“I’m sorry”, Kagome mumbled. “Shouldn’t have said anything. My fault.”
Inuyasha watched her start to tremble. He couldn’t tell if she was shivering or sobbing. She was hiding her face. He figured she was hiding her tears. He had no idea what to say. He feared he had broken her heart. He just stayed kneeling in the grass, gazing at her, searching for anything to fix this. He was not good with words or feelings for that matter. He had a sudden urge to touch her. He decided to just give in, he wasn’t helping anything by being mute.
Kagome flinched as Inuyasha’s clawed finger traced her jaw line. He nudged her face up to look at him. Kagome pressed her cheek into the palm of his hand.
“You were crying.” Inuyasha whispered so softly she had to struggle to hear. “I hate to see you cry.” He leaned towards her slowly and slid his tongue across her cheek. He lapped up her tears. Kagome let out a shy gasp.
“Um...Inuyasha?” Kagome searched for words as he pulled away from her face.
Inuyasha stared into her eyes. “Was that wrong?”
“Um...I guess...I mean...I dunno...how come?” Kagome couldn’t form words as the memory of Inuyasha’s tongue on her face began to set in. “I mean...” She was unable to finish her stammered thought. Inuyasha suddenly leaned in once again and pressed his lips to hers. Kagome pulled away first.
“HUH?” Inuyasha was caught off guard. He hadn’t expected her to pull back. “I thought this was what would make you happy.”
“What does that mean?” Kagome couldn’t think straight. She had wanted his lips on hers. All she could hear was the chirping of the crickets. Inuyasha wasn’t answering. “Well! Tell me!” Her eyes burned into his.
“Why is that a bad thing?” Inuyasha spoke in a very meek tone. That surprised Kagome. “I mean...I guess ...I mean....”
“Did you want to kiss me Inuyasha?” Kagome cracked a small smile.
“I love your smile.” Inuyasha reached out and brushed her hair out if her face. “I missed it, Kagome.”
“Oh...” Kagome was startled by his words. She was beginning to feel light headed. It felt like she was looking him through a fog.
Inuyasha whispered something she couldn’t hear. Then he slowly leaned towards her and let his lips brush her ear. “Where did my smile go...”, he whispered and lightly traced her earlobe with the tip of his tongue.
Kagome closed her eyes and let out a sharp gasp. Inuyasha placed his hand on the back of her head and pulled her closer as he continued to nibble her ear. Kagome simply gave herself to him. Inuyasha began to leer ber back until Kagome was lying in the grass. He stood above her. She just lay there with her eyes closed. She looked so helpless to him. Inuyasha kneeled above her and started to kiss her face. He kissed every inch of her face. Kagome wriggled slightly, and tried to push his lips to hers. Inuyasha obliged and pushed his lips forcefully to Kagome’s. She moaned into his mouth and pulled him in deeper. Her tongue pushing past his lips and roaming freely. He sat back and breathed in deeply. Kagome stared at him with hunger in her eyes. She pounced at him. She sat in his lap with her legs wrapped around his waist. Kagome kissed him slowly and reached up to touch his ears. She leaned back a bit. “I always wanted to touch them.”, she whispered shyly. Inuyasha just nodded. He pulled down her bra and in return placed kissed on her chest. It never occurred to Inuyasha to ask for permission. When he looked at Kagome she didn’t seem to mind.
