Innocence

Kagome stared out her window, a solemn expression painted her delicate face. She seemed almost doll-like, so frail and very fragile."Kagome, get away from the window before you catch a cold!" her father scorned.

"But papa!" Kagome began to argue, but she stopped knowing it would be futile."Okay..." she sighed and walked over to her bed.

"The world is too dangerous, I know that look of your's when I see it. You will not go outside, ever. You're too sick to do anything." It was all her father knew how to keep his seventeen-year-old daughter safe. He couldn't let her leave the house, not ever. The streets of Tokyo crawled with whores, drug addicts, and murderers. He had to protect her from the likes of Naraku, and his horrible family.

He walked over to his little girl, and touched her cheek."Promise me, you won't ever leave."

Her blue eyes, stared into his own dark hues. She nodded and chewed on her inner cheek. She hated being a caged bird. But that night, she would escape. She knew everything that had went on in the house, from the moment her father took his shower, to the moment he went to bed.

Her pulse pounded in her head as she slipped out into the night. Her entity on edge from the fear of being caught. She was going to escape. She threw open the front door, closing it silently behind her, and she ran. She ran as fast as she could into the awaiting darkness. Not knowing the terrors that lied behind every corner.

She made her way through the alleys of the broken city. Tokyo wasn't the same as it was over 50 years ago when the epidemic hit. The entire world had changed even Tokyo wasn't spared from it's plague.
