A New Scheme

Inuyasha, Kagome, Shippo, and Sango were battling a giant snake demon. "Kagome where is the jewel shard located on his body?" Inuyasha asked.
Kagome peered at the large snake moving around swiftly "On his forehead." Kagome said as she spotted the shiny jewel shard glimmer from its head.
"Got it." Inuyasha said as he gripped the Tetsiga and waiting for the opportune moment to strike at the right spot. Sango used her hiraku distracting the oversized creature.
The serpents lower body was cut off completely. As the snake moved to attack Sango with its venomous teeth as his lower half began to regrow. Inuyasha charged at the snakes forehead, Kagome grabbed an arrow and aimed it at the right spot. Kagome's arrow and Inuyasha's strength with his sword sliced the demon right down the middle.
Kagome picked up the shard as it fell to the ground. "Well that was easy." Inuyasha said as he placed the Tetsiga back in its sheath. Miroku stumbled his way down the road "hey is that Miroku?" Shippo asked.
"What's that monk doing here?"
"I thought you said he was resting?" Kagome said.
"He looks worse then when we left." Sango said.
"Hey Miroku what's up? I thought you were going to rest in Kaede's village." Inuyasha said.
"Naraku."
"What about Naraku?" Kagome asked.
"A young girl found a shard of the jewel and Naraku kidnapped her." Miroku said not really looking at Kagome, for her face looked like the girl.
"We got to do something." Shippo said.
"Yea there's just one problem with that we don't know where they went." Inuyasha said.
"You can pick up Naraku's scent can't you Inuyasha?" Kagome asked.
"I'll try lets head back to the village and I'll have Miroku show me where the girl was abducted and see what I can do."
The others nodded. Kilala transformed and they all rode off back to Kaede's village to save time.

Naraku brought Akira to his castle. "You live here? Its huge." Akira exclaimed at the mere size of the place. The two of them walked inside where they were greeted by a woman and a young girl. "Naraku you mentioned this little shard will make you more powerful. I fail to see how that works, you expect me to believe this small shard is part of the Shikon Jewel. I've heard the story before and I seriously don't know how believeable it is."
Naraku took off his baboon fur exposing his face. "You lack the insight of what it can do."
"Is the shard all you want from me?"
"Not necessarily."
"What else is it that you want from me?"
"You mentioned you were going home earlier did you not?"
"Yes."
"Yet you were going down a well to do that? How does that work?"
"You got me I just followed Kagome."
("So she knows that priestess wench.") Naraku said to himself.
"I am sure you're tired Kanna will show you to your courters, I would like to talk more about your home and about the shard at a later time."
"By the way young lady what is your name?"
"Katelyn."
"Unusal name."
"My Japanese name is Akira though."
"I see. Kanna make sure Akira is settled in nicely.
The little girl nodded. "This way." Kanna said leading Akira down the long corridor.
"What's the point in being so nice to that mortal girl Naraku? Its not like you." Kagura said.
"You're correct on that Kagura. That girl has a shard of the Shikon Jewel."
"Well why don't you just kill her and steal the shard from her?"
Naraku smiled, "My dear Kagura she has a thing I'm interested in besides the shard that I can use against Inuyasha and the others."
"What might that be?"
"For starters that home of hers I'd like to see so I can ravage it. Besides that girl has some sort of hidden power inside her. No doubt for being related to that priestess Kagome."
"How do you know she's related to that wench."
"isn't it obvious Kagura? Besides the looks in the face the scent is similar. Honestly Kagura and you call yourself a demon."
"So what's your plan with her exactly?"
"What's the problem Kagura? Now if you'll excuse me I have a big day tomorrow."
Kagura watched him leave, She clenched her teeth at the thought of a mortal girl staying here. There had to be something Naraku wasn't telling her about the girl as to why she really is here. Since she's related to Kagome she could be just as powerful. Naraku has never put any interest of any mortal before why now?
