Ai: Yes, Inuyasha is going to continue to be a murderer until someone does him him. But a rapist? Hardly...Inuyasha never really has to force any of his ladies to 'be' with him...(hint hint, lol). But yeah, he's a murderer and...yeah, lol. He'll be getting what's coming to him soon, but not too soon, lol.

Lissa: I'm glad you're liking it so far! I seriously thought this would just be a random gem that wouldn't go anywhere and lo and behold, it's going somewhere!

Selina: And despite how evil Inuyasha is, you'd STILL do him?! @_@... Who am I kidding, I'd do him no problem, lol! And yes, I have listened to verbal Captcha--I had nightmares for a few nights after that. Seriously, BEGONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evil-ass sounding machine, lol. (and maybe Rin will make it through the night...Who knows???)

Harmony: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! Not like I can talk, but, you're missed, lol! How's life, girl?! And yes, this story is going to be a darkfic with humor, lol, I wanted to try something different! But, I hope you still like it!!!!

Once more, ON WITH THE STORY!!!!!)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Consciousness slipped in and out of Kagome's mind. She could hear voices around her, then the sound of a door closing. She opened her eyes slowly, only to see she was staring at a familiar wooden ceiling, decorated with various glow-in-the-dark stickers. She sat up slowly, ignoring the throbbing pain in her head. What'd happened to her? When did she pass out?

"Kagome, thank God you're awake!"

Kagome found herself hugged tightly by the ever-excitable Ayame. Kagome looked over Ayame's shoulder in a daze and stared out of the window. It was nightfall already? Ayame pulled Kagome backwards a little and saw the dazed look on her face.

"I'm glad you're okay, Kagome-Chan! We didn't know what to think when we'd found you passed out in the Spirit Room."

"I fainted?"

"Yes. You must have overdone it." a calmer voice said.

Ayame and Kagome turned their attention to the door where Kikyou was standing with a small basin of water and a clean white rag.

"Ayame, will you go downstairs? I need to speak with Kagome."

"Mm-hmm. Glad to see you're okay, Kagome!"

Ayame hurried out of the room and closed the door behind her. Kikyou took Ayame's sitting place on the edge of Kagome's soft bed and motioned for her to lay down. Kikyou rang the cloth of it's excess cooling waters and ran it across Kagome's forehead before moving down to her miko's robes. Kikyou opened Kagome's top robe and began wiping the sweat and such from her throat. Kagome just laid there until Kikyou decided to engage in conversation.

"How are you feeling?"

"Confused. How long was I out?" Kagome asked, shuddering slightly at the cloth's cool touch.

"Almost five hours now."

"That long?!" Kagome said, sitting up slightly.

"Yes. In that time, we have made progress with Rin's location."

"Have we really? Sorry I couldn't have been more help..."

"Actually, you were of immeasurable help." Kikyou smiled.

Kagome sat up, giving Kikyou a slightly confused look. Kikyou only smiled and dipped the white cloth into the cold water once more. Kikyou put her hand on the side of Kagome's face and smiled.

"I searched your soul and saw what the Four Gods had shown you. Now we know what Rin was doing at the time of her abduction. Thank you so much, Kagome."

"I'm only glad I could help...What else has been done to find Rin?"

"Sango sent out her shikigami, Kirara, but that was hours ago. So far, no luck on finding the heartless dogs who have taken Rin, but Kirara could sense Rin's spiritual presence, so have hope, Kagome-Chan."

Kagome gave a nod before laying back down. Kikyou was in the process of cleansing her off further when a soft knock came from the other side of Kagome's door. Sango stuck her head in with a small smile.

"Kagome-Chaaaaaan..." she singsonged.

Kagome sat up and looked at the door. Sango seemed to be in good spirits despite the dire stances they were facing.

"What is it?" Kagome asked cautiously.

"Someone is here to see you."

"Who?" Kikyou asked.

"It's a surprise."

Kagome and Kikyou looked at one another warily before Kagome stood up and discarded her white miko's top, leaving her in the red pants and white chest wraps. She walked down the thick, wooden stairs and saw a tall, handsome young man standing by the doorway. He had a gray dufflebag that was stamped "Property Of The U.S Marines". His long, black hair was pulled backwards into a ponytail that trailed downwards to his spine. He was dressed casually in a black t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Kagome froze on the stairs when he turned around after sensing their presence. She was greeted by two of the bluest eyes she'd ever seen. Eyes that just couldn't be forgotten. Putting her hands over her mouth to keep the startled squeak from escaping her mouth didn't do much to keep the tears from streaming down her face.

"Yo, Kagome." he greeted her with a fangy grin.

"K...Kou..."

Kagome all but flew down the stairs and into his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Kouga!!! Welcome back!"

He dropped his bag and embraced her tightly, inhailing all of her wondrous scent and feeling her soft body. It was a scent and a softness that three months of intense basic training and sudden deployment had taken away from him. God, was he glad to be back. The girls could only smile, even Kikyou. Despite Kouga being what she despised the most, a demon, Kouga was a good one. Kikyou recalled how distraught Kagome had been when her beloved fiance had been gone from being in basic training to sudden deployment. Now, after almost after a year and a half, Kouga was home. The girls were so touched by the display of affection, they had to be reminded by Kagura that they were gawking at the couple, who they were sure wanted some alone time. Giggling slightly, the girls headed into the kitchen where they could both listen in on the conversation and also figure out what to do about Rin. After almost an eternity, Kagome released Kouga, who seemed equally emotionally overwhelmed. He put his hand to the side of her face with a gentle smile.

"Look at you...All grown up now."

"I'm so happy you're home. When did you get back?"

"Just a few hours ago. I'm home earlier than expected."

Kouga pulled Kagome's head up to meet her lips with a full-on kiss that did nothing but express just how much he missed her. But they both knew they'd need atleast a week in bed together to make up for all of the lost time. Upon breaking the kiss, Kagome guided Kouga into the living room where she poured him a cup of coffee made just how he liked it--black and strong. Kagome was more of a fan of milk tea, but different strokes for different folks.

"So, tell me all about it!" Kagome said, sitting next to him on the couch in front of the fire.

"Basic was hard as hell. I didn't exactly know what I was getting myself into."

"And...what about what you saw...over there?" Kagome asked nervously.

Kouga looked at Kagome with a small smile. He was certain nightmarish stories of what happened over there with the war caused lack of sleep for her in his absence. How could he have explained all he'd seen and endured over there? He knew he couldn't. Not in one night. Maybe not even in one lifetime.

"What I saw over there will stay with me for-fucking-ever, but...It's made me stronger. Anyway, how are things here with my future wife? That is, assuming no one has stolen you from me yet?" he grinned, wrapping his arms around her playfully.

"Never, Kou-Chan."

Kouga blushed. He hadn't been called that by Kagome in almost forever. Training and hardening war definitely hadn't hardened him against Kagome's affects on him. Never. He couldn't help the feelings this young woman gave him. Hell, why would he even want to? He was positive when he first asked her to wait for him when he was first accepted, she would have just said no completely, but loyal and faithful, Kagome agreed to wait for him, even though they'd only been dating for a year. He proposed to her when he found out about his training and now, a year and a half later, almost three full years of dating, her she was, somewhat different than the last time they'd met, but she was still connected to him in a way his 'brothers' would never understand. Which reminded him...

"My kid brothers have been inducted into my old Fraternity and their having a party tonight. Why not come with me? You can stay with me tonight and we can...make up for lost time."

The last part he'd whispered against her ear and it sent shudders racing down her spine. But it was conflict of interest for her--Should she really be excited about being in Kouga's arms after so long when Rin was still missing? It'd almost been a full day. When Kouga saw that conflicted look on Kagome's face, he had to ask what the matter was. Kagome launched into details about Rin's disappearance, what she'd seen when she was in the Spirit Room and everything in between. When Kagome was done with her tale, Kouga looked blown away. He couldn't even believe it--Rin was such a sweet little thing, a freshman, but he'd first met her when she was down here on campus when she'd come down here when she was a senior in high school and examining schools to attend. Few knew this, but Kouga met Kagome through Rin, indirectly. But now was not the time to take a stroll down memory lane. Kagome was in distress and he had to comfort her somehow.

"Kagome?"

Kouga and Kagome were equally surprised by Kikyou's sudden appearance. Kouga moved his arms from around Kagome as if she were poison. Kouga knew of Kikyou's dislike for demons of any sort, so he was certain she wasn't crazy about Kagome cuddling up to him. Kagome turned to look at Kikyou who only offered her a soft smile.

"If you wish to attend this party with Kouga-San, why don't you? It's been a while since you have seen him. Go, enjoy yourself tonight, Kagome."

"Are you sure...?" Kagome asked slowly, feeling bad for leaving her sisters when they needed her.

"Positive. You can go and enjoy yourself at the party, Kagome. We'll keep you posted on Rin." Kikyou replied.

Kagome looked at Kouga who could only offer her a smile. Within an hour or so, Kagome was showered, dressed and had an overnight bag packed. Tomorrow was Sunday--Plenty of time to rest and 'catch up' within the confines of Kouga's bedroom. She was both excited and nervous. She'd only been in Kouga's room once, so she didn't really get the chance to meet any of his fellow frat brothers. As Kouga and Kagome walked the twilighted streets, Kagome found nothing but comfort and pure bliss in his arm around her shoulder as they talked about the past year and a half they'd been apart. Kagome wondered when Kouga had gotten so strong, both physically and emotionally. Kouga wondered if Kagome's transformation had attracted various suitors. Why lie to him?

"Yeah, I guess I have changed a bit...But, don't worry, Kou-Chan,"

Kagome walked closer to him, smiling as she nuzzled her head slightly against his broad arm.

"No man can ever replace you."

Kouga offered her a fangy smile in response. Naturally, their parents had much to say about him dating a human and her dating a demon, but not much else was said after Kagome bravely confronted both families when she learned of Kouga's departure into the Service. She promised that regardless of demonic blood or human blood, her loyalty rested in Kouga and she'd wait for him no matter how long it took. Kouga smiled at the memory as they walked a few more blocks down to the large, brown mansion in the distance. Kagome stared up at the massive house, feeling almost overwhelmed. She'd heard things about Kouga's frat--Bad things, but most of them were rumors. Besides, with Kouga protecting her, what did she have to fear? They walked down the cobblestone path that led to the large door. Kouga pulled out his keys and opened the door, announcing his presence. Everyone had been setting up for the pending party, so the looks he'd gotten were as if he'd come back from the dead.

"Kouga! It's Kouga!" Ginta said, dropping the box of party favors.

Miroku stuck his head out from the kitchen, only to examine the sudden excitement that had taken over the frat. The other brothers greeted Kouga excitedly, but Miroku's main focus was on the girl with him. Where had he seen her before...?

"Well, well, well, look who's back from the dead." Miroku chuckled.

Kagome watched Miroku approach them like a casual breeze. He looked human enough. He was tall, with dark eyes and black hair pulled back just so. He was casually dressed in a dark purple button-up shirt and black pants. Probably for the party they'd been planning. His eyes roved over her in a way that made Kagome so nervous, Kouga picked up on it. Instead of challenging Miroku after a year and a half of not seeing the letch, he just did the normal thing--He claimed his property. Kouga put his arm around Kagome's shoulder and grinned.

"Guys, this is Kagome. She's been my woman for a long time."

"Hey, big sis!" Hakkaku quickly said.

Kagome wasn't in the least bit intimidated when Ginta and Hakkaku approached her like excited puppies. She hugged both brothers, glad to have seen them after so long. Once Kouga had left, she and his younger siblings had lost touch, despite the fact they all attended the same school and lived within blocks of one another.

"How have you been, Kagome?" gentle Ginta asked, taking her hands.

"Much better how that Kouga is back. Congratulations on getting inducted into such a powerful fraternity."

Both wolf demons blushed and grinned sheepishly. Kagome glanced at Hakkaku for a brief moment. Odd, she felt as if she'd recently seen him somewhere...

"Anyway, where's Inu-baka? Plowing another girl before the party I presume?" Kouga smirked,.

"Not quite. Inuyasha actually stepped out for a few minutes, but he should be back soon. Kouga, why don't you get settled in? We left your room just as you wanted."

"Thanks, Miroku."

Miroku nodded and smiled in response. He and Kouga and Inuyasha had been friends since they were pups. In fact, Kouga's father was one of the founding demons of the fraternity. Miroku glanced at Kagome who was still engaged in conversation with Ginta and Hakkaku.

"And are we going to be fortunate enough to have your lady grace us this evening? It's going to be one hell of a party, you know."

Kagome noticed how the question had been directed at Kouga, but he was staring straight at her, not even attempting to mask the lust in his darkened eyes for her. Kagome gripped the handle of her overnight bag a little tighter, but wouldn't let herself be intimidated by a demon, despite how human he looked. Kagome knew the demons in this fraternity were anything but. As a priestess, they could probably sense her spiritual powers resonating off of her. It should be enough to keep any horny demons away from her. She would have felt a little more comfortable if Kouga had some sort of physical marking on her, but then what would Kikyou have said? Kagome steeled her resolve--She belonged to Kouga only, despite her miko's training. No other demon would lay hands on her or else they'd really be in for it. Kouga motioned Kagome to the winding stairwell while the rest of the fraternity members continued to prepare for the party. Kagome was positive there would be loud music, drinking and sex. Plenty and plenty of sex. Kagome knew they would be, without a doubt, inviting the few female demon sororities on campus. There was no reason to invite human girls, so Kagome knew she should feel honored from being the only ningen there. But at the same time, it also made her more defensive and apprehensive. Sure, demons, half demons and humans alike attended the same classes and shared each other's company outside of classes and social, but Kagome's only experience with demons came from Kouga and his younger sibling. She interracted with demons on a daily basis, but that was on a casual note. Never on a personal note. Kagome was in the literal demon's lair, so she knew she had to be on her guard. When they arrived on the second floor of the fraternity, they walked the few feet to Kouga's door. He opened it and stepped inside with a smile. Nothing had been changed, but his room had been very simple in tastes--A simple bed decorated with fur pelts, a fireplace, and a bookshelf and a desk. Kagome watched as Kouga nostolgically turned in one, slow circle, examining his room. She could only imagine how he felt after being away for so long.

"Kou-Chan?"

Kouga turned to look at Kagome who was standing there with her single-strapped overnight bag. He'd felt so many emotions at seeing her again. A year and a half without his future mate had been hell on earth for him, but he also took his duty seriously. But as he walked towards Kagome, extending his arms out towards her, the only duty on his mind was his duty to her. Kagome dropped her bag and embraced him tightly, whispering into his chest,

"Welcome home."

"Thanks..." he gave a gentle sigh.

Moments later, Kagome was leaving Kouga to unpack. She wondered where the rest of his things were, but he explained that they'd be delivering the rest of his luggage and such within the next two days or so.

"Well, while you unpack, I'll just go and see how the party preparations are going."

"Okay, come back up when you're done," he replied, in the process of emptying his bag.

Kagome gave a nod and headed out of the room, closing the door slightly behind her. She walked over to the brown railing and could already hear music playing downstairs. She didn't party too much, so this whole thing was a little different to her. As she walked away from Kouga's door, she wondered if she could try and locate the bathroom. Lord knows she'd needed to pee like crazy after all that had been happening in the past couple of hours. When she found no trace of a bathroom on the second floor, she noticed the almost hidden flight of stairs leading to the third floor. Kagome looked around before ascending the stairs. It was completely dark at the top and much to her surprise, there was only one room up there. The doors itself spoke of extravagance and wealth and seemed to be hand-carved with several beautiful designs imprinted on to it. Still, she doubted it was a bathroom and turned to leave, only to experience the whole 'walking into a wall' sensation when she bumped into someone. She quickly looked up, only to meet with two, terrifying blood-red eyes. She went to scream, but a strong hand quickly clasped itself over her mouth. Panicked, Kagome mentally ran down the list of all of the things she could do to this guy, but the only thing she could see in the darkness were those eyes.

"Calm the hell down. Damn, what the hell are you doing up here anyway, woman?"

The voice sounded human, but Kagome knew not to be fooled. Any human with red eyes that bright or deadly either had serious eye problems or was in dire need of sleep. College could do that to you. He stepped backwards from the two doors, his hand still clenched on Kagome's mouth. He reached for the light switch beside the doors and Kagome winced as the darkened hallway was suddenly filled with light. She turned her head quickly to look over her shoulders and saw...

The true meaning of 'terrifying beauty'. He had long, silver hair that streamed down his back, amazing amber eyes that had lost their red glow and also held annoyance. He was just as tall as Kouga and just as handsome. He narrowed his eyes at her and removed his hand when she was certain she wouldn't start screaming.

"Who are you and why are you up here?"

"I...just..."

Kagome then remembered she had a spine and pulled away from him. The boy standing in front of her took in her appearance quite well--She was a young woman, possibly a sophomore, with chocolate brown eyes, long, wavy hair and was casually dressed in a black mini skirt and a midnight blue, long-sleeved turtleneck. She was definitely pretty, but the question still remained: Who was she and why was she up here sneaking around? He could smell Kouga's scent on her slightly. Was she Kouga's woman? She wasn't a demon either...What in Kami's name would Kouga want with a human bitch? Kagome steeled herself, glaring at him. Now that she was viewing him from the front instead of looking over her shoulder at him, she saw he was casually dressed in a black track suit with a white shirt underneath. But even the baggy tracksuit couldn't hide his muscles and the chiseled body beneath. Kagome remembered that now was not the time to be thinking what he looked like naked or anything of the sort. This asshole had all but scared the life out of her!

"Who do you think you are sneaking up on people like that?!"

"Who am I...? Bitch, I own the place." he replied coldly.

Kagome felt her spine of steel suddenly turn to one of rubber. This guy, this asshole, this handsome, fine, sexy...Kagome did some mental chiding on her end. Asshole. Remember, he's an asshole! And he'd called her a bitch as well. Not exactly like she was ready to take that lying down, but the fact of the matter was, she was faced with probably the strongest youkai on campus. You had to be to leader of the famous Master Youkai Elite Fraternity.

"So, you must be Kouga's bitch, then." he smirked.

"I am no one's bitch, but I am Kouga's woman." she replied bitingly.

"Yeah, a human woman at that. Kouga's standards must have not been very high. That or playing war fucked with his demon instincts."

"You son of a...!"

Kagome couldn't even finish her sentence by the time she'd delivered a powerful slap to his face. His cheek turned red for a moment before he glared at her. Dead. She was dead and she didn't even know it. Without warning, he grabbed her wrist and yanked her forward, heading towards the stairs.

"Let me go, you jerk!" she protested.

"Shut the fuck up."

Of course, Kagome didn't and wouldn't 'shut the fuck up'. She was all but dragged down the stairs and to Kouga's room. Without knocking, he slammed the door open with his free hand and threw Kagome forward onto the soft brown carpet. Kouga had been in the process of throwing his empty bag into the closet when he saw Kagome thrown, and quite hard, onto his floor.

"What the fuck, Inuyasha?!" he growled, baring his fangs.

Kouga quickly hurried over to Kagome, making sure she was alright. He stood up and glared at Inuyasha hard enough to put a hole through him if that had been possible. He may have heard stories about how Inuyasha treated his women, but to treat Kagome that way...!

"Keep your bitch on a tighter chain, Kouga. I caught up sniffing around upstairs."

Kouga's eyes widened and he looked at Kagome who was still sitting on the floor. She glared at Inuyasha, gritting her teeth slowly.

"For your information, I was looking for the bathroom!"

"I'm warning you now, bitch, if I ever catch you near my room again..."

"Inuyasha, I don't give a flying fuck who you think you are, if you threaten Kagome again..." Kouga said, stepping forward and all but growling out the entire sentence. He and Inuyasha stood with only a small distance of five inches between them. Kagome could feel the room shift with the two mingling demonic auras, but...She noticed Kouga's was much more stronger than Inuyasha's. Was it because Kouga was so pissed off? No, as pissed off as he was, Inuyasha's demonic aura should have been spiking like his. What was so different about him...? Inuyasha just huffed slightly.

"You've been back less than an hour, wolf cub. Let's not start off fighting."

"Then keep your hands and threats away from Kagome."

Inuyasha glared at Kouga slightly, but then watched as Kagome picked herself up off the floor. He wasn't backing down--Why should he? He was the Top Dog in the fraternity, he basically owned every single demon in that frat. Kouga being away for so long had obviously given him a strong sense of defiance that he was now using against him. Inuyasha narrowed his eyes. He'd deal with Kouga, Marine or no, but he promised himself to make his little bitch pay. Who did she think she was? A knock on the door signaled a thankful break in tension. Three sets of eyes turned to look at Miroku who was announcing the arrival of the guests and that their signature 'Jungle Juice'* was prepared. Kagome narrowed her eyes slightly. She didn't party much, except with her fellow Kitsunes, so the drink was definitely different to her. Inuyasha turned his attention from Miroku and then to Kouga and Kagome.

"Look, Kouga, sorry for getting so rough with her, but seriously, keep that bitch on a tighter leash. Anyway, come down and enjoy the party. Figure we might as well celebrate all three of the Okami brothers, you know?" he winked.

And just like that, he was gone. Kouga groaned slightly and after imforming Kagome to stay away from Inuyasha and his room, Kagome wanted to know why they were both acting like as if she'd done something wrong. This wasn't exactly how she pictured her reunion with Kouga--especially fighting with him. Kouga just said he wanted to protect her from what she might see in his room. Wonderful, imaginitive thoughts ran through her mind and soon, she found herself too terrified to even walk up the stairs to the third floor. Music could be heard starting to play from downstairs.

"Kagome, you can stay up here if you want. I know it'll pretty much be nothing but demons and demonesses down there, so..."

"I don't mind, just don't leave me alone for too long." she resigned herself with a smile.

That smile. God, could that smile disarm even the toughest youkai, Kouga thought. He grinned and brought her to him, kissing her gently. He thought about forgoing the party, simply for wanting to feel Kagome against him so bad, but he knew if he didn't make an appearance, Inuyasha or one of the other brothers would drag him down by his tail. Kouga left Kagome alone for a few moments to take a shower. In the time he'd been gone, Kagome realized a few things: One, she wanted to know what was in Inuyasha's room, and Two, she didn't like the owner of that room in the least. If he wanted an enemy, he'd just made one.

(A/N: *Jungle Juice is a popular combination drink down here at my campus. Basically, it's been called the 'date rape drink' simply because SO many types of liquor go into it. One cup will seriously do that to you--It packs a punch. Anyway, there are some people who make the juice with good intentions, but sometimes...well, yeah...at anyrate, yeah...Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! Yes, it's darkish, but it's about to get a LOT more interesting...*kukukukuku...* I only did that to freak out Selina! lol!
