Chapter Three
Snow Walker
‘I have to help her...’ Sesshomaru thought, trying desperately to stay awake.
The temp dropped lower and lower as the minutes past by and he was unable to move closer to getting out of the car.
For once Sesshomaru didn’t understand completely anything around him… for crying out loud he didn’t even know who he was or who the child crying was.
What he did know was the both of them were going to die there if he didn’t get up and get them both out of there and somewhere warm and fast.
Sesshomaru struggled, but finally got out of the car. He hurt and he was bleeding. He opened the back door and saw a beautiful black haired little girl sobbing uncontrollably. She was hurt badly and he knew that they would both become infected if he didn’t move fast.
He cut her seat belt with his claws and picked her up. He opened the trunk and looked at all the suitcases there. ‘No way am I going to be able to carry all of those.’ he thought as he closed it back up.
He stood still and sensed what was around him; finally he found a heartbeat a few more miles up ahead of his current location. He made his way in that direction, not a care in the world for whom that heartbeat belonged to. All he knew was he had to find that person and hope they had a very warm fire going for him and this little girl in his arms.
***Kagome***
I sat in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot coco in my hands and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. The fire soon heated the lodge and felt so welcoming. I felt at home here, and always had.
It was really coming down outside and I had always found the snow beautiful, cold as all get out, but beautiful. It was a cold beauty that nothing could compare.
I stood up and went over to the windows looking out at the dark snowy night. That’s the exact moment my life would change forever.
