Forgive Me
Sesshomaru watched Rin from a short distance, unmoving as he fought his own battle. He was afraid to look at her. Afraid that for the first time he might see fear in her eyes. What he did was wrong, and he knew it. Never had it occurred that something like this might have happened to him. He brutally raped her, and she was only 17 summers old. Worse, she had no idea what happened, and if she were to forgive him or even give him another chance, he would have to be the one to explain it. Overcome with grief and shame, he dropped to his knees, and began to sob to the silence of the woods.
‘You can’t leave her there…’
He needed to clean her. Beg for her forgiveness. Would she allow it? Would she ever let him touch her again?
“Lord Sesshomaru…I still need you..”
Her last words before she fell into darkness snapped him from his thoughts. Even in pain and after what he did, she still called his name. He could smell her fear, as another wave of shame overcame him. He did this to her, bonded to her against her will and yet she still called his name willingly. With tears in his eyes he walked over to his beloved Rin, scooping her body into his lap as he cried his apology.
“I still need you too…”
And with that he cleaned his face, washed her body clean of the mess he had created, and prayed that when she wake, she’d allow him to explain his rash actions and how much she truly meant to him.
