Will he ever see me for who I am
Or will I just be another girl
Another potential mother
The last resort if he can’t get anyone else
To bear his child
Will he ever accept my scars
Lavish them
And see them as a sign of courage instead of
A mutation marring the perfect creamy skin
He so obviously craves
What can I say to make him understand
I want no lord
No prince with a charming smile and loud laugh
I want him
But will he feel the same
Or does he want a maiden
So unlike me, the man
Inside a woman’s body
He will never want me for who I am
No man will
I should have accepted the lord
