Heat

Chapter 3
Alone, but not really


Inuyasha's eyes slowly filtered open and took in the state of the room he
was current lying in. His first thoughts were how the hell he got into this
room all the events from the fast few days were a blur to his mind and the
fact that he now awoke into a strange room was even more confusing.

The room was large and seamed to be hallowed out from a cave or made
from mud. Inuyasha assumed it was the first. Considering the fact that it
was a cave, the surroundings were amazing, beautiful furs were sprawled
around the room, with a wardrobe chest and table and chair pushed
against the far side against the wall. Surprisingly the room smelt fresh like
the forest and had the understandable sent of fresh dirt, but wasn’t
overpowering as one might first think.

As Inuyasha was thinking about the state of the room he totally forgot about the bed he was
currently snuggled up in. There were furs, the same as on the floor, yet softer and lusher, placed
underneath a stone bed. The furs made it soft and comfy and the stone underneath made the
bed chilling and have some
stability, which he found lacking in Kagome’s beds. (Inuyasha's been on
Kagome's bed in this story and he finds them to soft and squishy.)

Inuyasha was to busy inspecting the room to notice the presence pressed
against his chest but immediately bolted upright when all the events of the
day came flooding back to him. Inuyasha fearfully looked down beside
him, hoping (surprisingly to himself in both ways) that Koga was not
lying beside him. Inuyasha's eyes looked down and rested on Koga's
sleeping face.

Gods how could this have happened! This is what I wanted but, I’m in heat can Koga really
loves me? Or is it just the heat that’s making him like this. If anything happens with he regret it
and leave me? No he can’t love me… he loves Kagome. Although people think I love Kagome
as well. She’s more like a sister to me, one you can’t help but want to protect. But Koga, he
must feel for her more, so that means he can never love me.

Inuyasha sighed, this was so confusing, to love someone and know that
they will never love you. And to know they love another. To hide you
feeling so no one will know, and never tell them because rejection is the
unlimited humiliation. Inuyasha flopped down on the bed. Now laying on
his back Koga still peacefully sleeping beside him.

"If only Koga didn’t love Kagome, then maybe things could work."
Inuyasha said to himself. Then deciding to forget about everything and go
back to sleep.

Moving to his side, Inuyasha looked at Koga and nuzzled his head into the
crook of his neck. Koga will kill me in the morning he thought but it’s
worth it. And Inuyasha quickly drifted off to sleep never even thinking
why Koga was in the same bed with him in the first place of why he had no top on.

Koga, unknown to Inuyasha wasn’t peaceful sleeping beside him. He was awake and a
warming sensation went through all his body when he heard Inuyasha say that one sentence. He
no longer wondered if Inuyasha felt the same for him, and he was going to tell Inuyasha that he
had no feelings for Kagome and only wanted to be with him.

Koga tried to slip out of the bed without waking his sleeping love, despite how much he
wanted Inuyasha to awake he knew that he was tired and needed to sleep more because the
heat was still affecting him. But as Koga slipped out of bed he smacked his ankle on the end
table beside the bed. Try as he might to keep the yelp from coming out it did and with it
Inuyasha shot up in bed fully awake.

Koga and Inuyasha’s eyes locked immediately, Inuyasha was frozen and
didn’t move an inch, you would of thought he wasn’t even breathing if it
wasn’t for the slightly raspy breaths that could be heard in the room.
Koga slowly walked up to Inuyasha and said thing that he only could
dream about, the whole time frozen trying to absorb what Koga was
saying.

"Inuyasha, I know you think that I love Kagome," Koga gently said as he
leaned in front of Inuyasha’s face hands pressed against the bed "but you
are mistaken as usual." he smiled "I love you mutt, not that human and
whatever is stopping you from loving me you better let it go cause I
don’t want to wait for you anymore." Koga said and before Inuyasha could
say anything Koga’s lips were pressed against his.

The earth stopped spinning and angles were shining lights down from heaven the moment
Koga's soft moist lips pressed against his. Inuyasha could feel time slip away but gladly let it
pass as he closed his eyes and relished in the feeling that was on him now. But to soon for either
of them the kiss was broken and Koga spoke again.

"I have to go out and hunt." Koga said gently running his hand along
Inuyasha's face "The food supplies are getting low. But don’t worry I'll be
back in a day, maybe sooner since I know you will be waiting for me." Koga said any quickly
walked to the door and was about to leave bet first muttered one last thing "And don’t come
out of this room, promise."
"Yea, I promise."
"Good," Koga smiled, the door was closed and he was gone.

Inuyasha was still sitting as stiff as a statue when Koga left. He loves me!?
Where the three words that Inuyasha was replaying over and over in his
mind. But since Koga was gone out to hunt, there was really nothing for him to do, and with out
Koga’s presence near him that god damn heat was being a pain in the ass. So Inuyasha went to
sleep.

A couple hours later

Inuyasha couldn’t sleep anymore, no matter how hard he tried to will
himself to go to sleep their was no way that it was possible! Although his
heat had made him tired a person or demon in his case could only sleep so
much, and now that Koga was gone there was nothing to do and no one
to talk to.

Getting up out of bed Inuyasha decided that it would probably do some
good for him to go out for a stroll, get some fresh air and hopefully waist
some time.

Inuyasha stepped out of the door to the cave room and spotted Ginta and
Hakkaku stilling around arguing at one another. The only thing Inuyasha
could hear from were he was, was;
“He’s mine.” and “Come on Koga will never know.”

Inuyasha’s mind snapped awake, Koga’s gone and the weird looks their
directing at me.... OH NO! Koga's gone what’s going to happen now? I’m all alone, and of all
the time for this to have happened when I’m in heat. Ginta and Hakkaku are fighting amongst
themselves for now but they won't be forever. What am I going to do this is...

Inuyasha's thoughts were interrupted by Ginta’s voice, so close that Inuyasha could feel the
warm breath against his ear.
"Koga’s gone on a hunt and..." Ginta whispered seductively into Inuyasha's ear "he won't be
back for a couple of hours."
"Get away from me you bastards, you even think about touching me and
I'll…"
"You’ll what?, in your present state you couldn't even defend yourself
against a bug, what makes you think you can stop us?…”
