Torn Between Two Brothers

A/N: Kagome and Inuyasha start getting to know each other over lunch and things get very up close and personal! Kagome realizes that she is truly becoming happy as Inuyasha’s wife.

Kagome stood in the elevator heading towards her spacious corner office on the twenty fifth floor of Shikon Tech. She was dressed in a sapphire blue cashmere sweater and a white nylon skirt that rode up to just above the middle of her creamy white thighs. Kagome had on a pair of white leather boots that rose to her knees and she was carrying her white and sapphire blue Christian Dior handbag. She had chosen to style her hair in large curls that flowed freely down her back to rest at her waist. Her blue gray eyes shifted to her left hand to stare at the larockrock that rested on her ring finger. Out of curiosity Kagome had asked Inuyasha how many karats her ring was. He had told her in a very nonchalant tone of voice that the ring was a four and a half karat diamond ring.

Kagome had nearly fallen out of her chair when he had told her that. The elevator doors slid open and Kagome strode down the hallway to her office. She had a magnificent view of the Tokyo skyline from her chair at her desk. Opening the door to her office she found two large vases of red and white roses waiting for her. Kagome pressed the intercom button on her desk phone and yelled for her personal assistant. “Sango!”

“Yes Miss Higurashi?”

“Come in here right away!”

“Of course Miss Higurashi!” Sango came running into Kagome’s office at once. “Yes Miss Higurashi?”

“Who are these from?”

“There’s a card on your desk Miss Higurashi, it’s in between the vases.”

“Oh right, so it is.”

“Anything else Miss Higurashi?”

“Um, just a nonfat mocha latte and it’s Mrs. Nobunaga now Sango.”

“Right, sorry Mrs. Nobunaga.”

“Oh Sango, you can drop the formalities we have worked together quite long enough for you to just call me Kagome.”

“Are you sure Mrs. Nobunaga?”

“Yes.”

“Okay then, Kagome it is. I’ll be right back with your nonfat mocha latte.” Kagome nodded and opened the sealed envelope that was on her desk. It was from her husband Inuyasha. The card read:
