Chapter 29

Sango watched as the palace came into sight. She was happy to be back. After the night and morning she had she wanted nothing more than to soak in a hot spring. She had never felt so sore in her life and she was counting the many wounds she had received in various battles. After their last bout of mating she couldn't walk. And his beast had given her many cuts along her body. Obviously he liked the taste of her blood. Finally his beast released them and they could part from each other. She had never been so glad before. When she saw the palace come into view she sighed in relief and passed out.

Kitaro had rubbed some salve on her wounds that his beast had inflicted on her after he carefully washed her body for her. Taking note of her gasp of pain when he came close to her core. He pried her legs open and saw the raw flesh at her opening. He took the salve and applied it to opening and then gently dressed her and decided he had better return to the palace to talk to Uzuki. Maybe she could help heal Sango. He dressed himself and without a word to anyone he took to the air with his beloved Sango held gently in his arms.

They reached the palace around noon and when he landed he was told of Lord Sesshoumaru's arrival. He nodded to the guards and carried Sango to his room. On the way he spotted a servant and sent her to retrieve the healer and then placed Sango on the bed. She had managed to stay wake long enough to see the palace come into view and then passed out. He was growing worried that his beast had damaged her more than he knew.

He smelled Uzuki when she reached his door and knocked on it, "Enter."

Uzuki entered the room and found Kitaro sitting on his bed with the slayer beside him. She looked like she had been through a battle.

"What happened to her?" Kitaro lowered his head in shame before speaking.

"I mated her last night. My beast took control at the second mating and he harmed her, although it was lightly and she talked to me after that. Then my beast decided to take her again many times during the night. He managed to take her four times before dawn and then I finally won control over him for good. But he also insured it that my member would not release her after the mating and I had to mate her again to gain release. When it was over she had passed out. She woke up moaning when I doctored her and she stayed awake until the palace come into view then she passed out again. I doctored her wounds, which are mainly small cuts and bites on her body, but her core is raw and bleeding. I applied some salve to the area after I cleaned her. Can you help my mate Uzuki?"

Uzuki knelt at the end of the bed and removed Sango's kimono and saw all the bite marks around her breast and there were some on her thighs. The girl had some bad cuts along her legs and she saw the wounds on her hips from Kitaro's claws digging into her. She turned to glare at Kitaro.

"I thought you had more control over your youkai than this."

"I did too but when it comes to Sango my beast fought harder than he ever did before. Even during the spring heat he never battled me so strongly." Kitaro watched Uzuki as she inspected Sango further.

Uzuki carefully parted Sango's thighs and shook her head, "I have some salve that is better than what you put on her. Take her to the hot springs and let her soak. Hold her in your lap so that the hard rocks will not bother her. I will bring the salve there and apply it. She will be sore for a couple of days and you are not to mate with her until I tell you that you can. I don't care if you have to chain yourself in the dungeon you keep your member to yourself. You do have one thing going for you. It is a good thing she marked you or she might have never recover." She hurried out of the room and shut the door behind her.

Kitaro undressed her and then removed his haori and swords. He kept his hakama on to protect Sango from him. He carried her to his hot springs and walked into the water and sat down while holding her in his lap.

Sango moaned in pain as the hot water lapped at her cuts and the bites over her body. But the water felt so good. Kitaro would be using his hand for a while if she had anything to say about it.

Kitaro heard Sango moan and even if it was a moan of pain at least she was waking up. He gently kissed her forehead. "I am sorry Sango."

Sango opened her eyes and smiled up at her mate. "What are you sorry for?"

"For letting my beast gain control and letting him hurt you." Kitaro nuzzled her neck and growled to her gently to comfort her.

Sango tried to get up but Kitaro kept a strong hold of her and refused to release her. "It's not your fault, besides I kind of asked him to do some of the things he done to me. I loved it when you made love to me Kitaro and when you beast made love to me I enjoyed it no less." Sango could feel the blush take over her face. "I even enjoyed the rough play and encouraged him to be rougher. Do you not remember any of this?"

Kitaro smiled when she admitted to liking the rough stuff. He would have to remember that. "All I could see was that he was harming you."

"Kitaro, when you gave me your courting mark I knew that I would mate you and that I would also have to mate your beast. I just wish it hadn't been my first night making love that he came out. I am so sore that I am not sure that I will be able to walk anytime soon. Not to mention that until I heal, you and your hand are going to become close friends." Sango kissed Kitaro and then turned around on his lap so that her back was resting against his chest.

"Don't worry Uzuki already threatened me with dire consequences if I should touch you before she says I can. She should be here shortly with some salve to soothe your injuries." Kitaro could smell the dragon outside his room and she would soon be at the hot springs.

Uzuki entered the hot springs and found Kitaro and Sango in the water together, "Kitaro carry her back to the bed and I will apply the salve." She followed the couple into Kitaro's room and watched as he placed her on his bed. "Now leave us women alone." She grabbed his arm and dragged him to the door and then threw him into the hall and shut it. She turned back to the bed and saw the slayer laughing. "Well it's good to see you have a sense of humor."

She moved to the bottom of the bed and looked down at Sango.

"I have to apply this salve for you. But don't be embarrassed. I will see all of you again when it is time to pup. And from the looks of things that will happen many times." She opened Sango's legs and gently applied the salve.

Sango thought she would die of embarrassment but the minute the salve touched her sore body the pain went away. "That salve is amazing. I don't feel any more pain."

"My mate used to be rough with me when we mated and I invented this salve to help my wounds. Like Kitaro does with you my mate got carried away when it came to me. You will be fine in an hour or so but you are not to mate until I tell you otherwise." Uzuki handed the jar to Sango, "You are to apply this after each bath and after you relieve yourself for the next two days, if the pain comes back call for me. If not then I will see you again in two days time." Uzuki turned and left the room.

Kitaro ran into the room after Uzuki left and found Sango smiling at him.

"I hope it is almost time for the evening meal. I am starving. Someone kept me so busy this morning that I didn't get a chance to eat. And then we were on our way to the palace so we missed the noon meal." Sango pulled her kimono back together and sat up to tie the obi.

Kitaro took the obi out of her hands and tied it around her waist for her, "Are you feeling better Sango?" Sango shook her head yes.

"That salve Uzuki gave me worked wonderful." At seeing her mates smile she frowned up at him. "Don't even think about it. I am not allowed to do anything like that for two days." Kitaro whined a little but he understood. He was just glad that she was fine and he would be able to mate with her again.

"Lord Sesshoumaru has returned and he is resting in his chambers. After dinner I must go talk with him."

Sango jerked her head around to see Kitaro. "Is Kagome with him?"

He shook his head no. "The guards did not mention him arriving with anyone."

"He had better not have done something to Kagome or he will answer to me." Sango stood up and started to walk back and forth in the bedroom. She moaned at the pain but she kept walking. Where could Kagome be?

Kitaro smelled his mate's anger, "You need to calm down Sango. I am sure that Lord Sesshoumaru didn't do anything to harm her. This is just between us mate, I think he likes her."

Sango stopped pacing at his words and stared at him in shock. "He likes her?"

Kitaro nodded. "There was many times that he came back after fighting with his brother that we talked. You have to hear how he sounds when he is talking about her. It's like he is a totally different person." He looked out his window and saw the sun starting to set. "Come it is time for the evening meal." He picked her up and carried her out of the room.

"Kitaro, I can walk. Even if it is a little painful I am fully capable of walking now." Sango crossed her arms over her chest and growled up at him.

Kitaro laughed at his mate's shocked expression when she growled. He would have to tell her about the effects of her marking him after dinner. He carried her into the dining room and found that no one else had arrived yet. He sat Sango down and took the seat beside her. He could smell and hear Lord Sesshoumaru and an unknown youkai heading toward them. Didn't Sango say that Kagome was a human so that couldn't be her? Who was with his lord?

~Western Palace Infirmary~

Inuyasha awoke once again and found he was free to move. Miroku must have removed his sutra while he had been sleeping. He sat up and found the dragon youkai glaring at him. "What is your problem?"

Juria turned to glare at the hanyou before her. She didn't care if he was a prince she wasn't going to put up with his mouth. "You had better learn some manners or I am sure that my mother will have you for a patient often."

"Feh, what ever." Inuyasha stood up and felt the room reel around his head.

Juria saw his sluggish movements and rushed to his side. If she let him get hurt her mother would kill her. "Where do you think you are going?"

Inuyasha looked down at the youkai beside him. "It is dinner time and I am hungry. I plan on eating in the dining room tonight and your not going to stop me." He shook off her arms and walked out of the room.

Juria ran after the hanyou yelling, "Get back here. You are not supposed to be up yet."

Inuyasha looked behind him and ran faster. That dragon demon didn't give up. He made it to the dining room and found Sango and Kitaro sitting beside each other. He was breathing hard but when he took in the scents in the air he started choking. Since when were they mated? He took a seat across from them and looked at Sango. "A little soon wasn't it?"

Sango blushed and sighed. "I saw no reason to wait any longer." She turned toward the door when it slammed open and an angry dragon youkai stood in the doorway.

Juria stopped in the doorway and looked around the room. She didn't see the hanyou anywhere. "Where is that no good for nothing loud mouth baka?"

Sango just laughed and pointed to the other side of the table.

Inuyasha jumped up when Juria came around the table and caught sight of him. "Sango how could you tell this crazy bat where I was at."

"Crazy bat. I am a dragon youkai. Leave it to a stupid baka like you to get them confused. Now you are going back to the infirmary." She grabbed his arm and started dragging him out of the room.

Inuyasha started to say something else but the door to the garden opened and Miroku and Masumi came in. They sat down across from Sango and Kitaro and just watched as Juria tried to drag him out of the room. "Miroku help me, this wench won't leave me alone."

"Well Inuyasha after what you did today I say that you deserve everything that she does to you." Miroku smiled at his friend and leaned back to watch the show.

Sango looked between Inuyasha and Miroku. "What did Inuyasha do?"

Miroku laughed, "He was just being himself and called Juria's mom a hag. Well Juria overheard him and hit him so hard he was knocked out for a couple of hours."

Juria sighed, "I am not a wench and if I hear that name out of your mouth again you will so regret it."

Inuyasha jerked his arm out of hers and headed back to the table. "Like you can do anything about it."

"Just test me pup and I will show you what I can do about it." Juria ran to him and caught his arm again. "Mother said you were not to leave until she returns. You have to go back."

"I am not going back and you can't make me." Inuyasha jerked his arm free one more time. "If you're so concerned about my welfare you can stay here and eat with us. Then after the meal I will return to the infirmary and have your mother check me out."

Juria glared at him and then followed him to the table. "Fine I will but you will not get away. Right after the meal I am taking you back to the infirmary rather you like it or not." Juria sat down at the table and was a little nervous. She had never dined at the Lords table before. It's a good thing that he wasn't home.

Inuyasha sat down and he shook his head. He had never liked the smell of wolf and now one was a member of his pack. Talk about irony. The only good thing was that it wasn't Kouga. He breathed in once again and smelled his brother heading toward them. "When did Sesshoumaru return?"

Miroku sighed. "He returned this afternoon. And by the way be prepared for a lot of questions."

Juria heard them say that Sesshoumaru was back and she got really nervous. She stood up and tried to leave.

Inuyasha grabbed her hand and stopped her. "Where do you think your going?"

"I am a servant. I can't sit at the same table as Lord Sesshoumaru." She tried to get her hand free and no matter what she done he wouldn't turn her loose.

"Relax, Sesshoumaru is going to be so busy killing me that he won't even notice you." Inuyasha slammed his head on the table. Just what he needed? He wasn't in any shape to fight his brother. Then he remembered Kagome and sat up. "What about Kagome?"

Miroku shook his head. "I don't know. No one has seen her."

"That bastard better not have hurt her." Inuyasha turned toward the door when it flung open and Rin and Shippou followed by Sesshoumaru walked into the room. Sesshoumaru had a demoness on his arm. Inuyasha looked behind him and saw no sign of Kagome. "What in the hell did you do to Kagome?" He saw a smirk on Sesshoumaru's face and stood up and drew Tetsusaiga and pointed it to Sesshoumaru. "Answer me you bastard what did you do with Kagome?"

Sesshoumaru saw his brother with the Tetsusaiga drawn and demanding for him to tell him what he did to Kagome. Sesshoumaru glared at the hanyou. "Inuyasha use your nose for once and you will find her. I have done nothing to her. At least nothing she didn't ask for."

Inuyasha started sniffing the air and just barely caught Kagome's scent. He stood up and followed it till he was standing beside Sesshoumaru and the demoness beside him. He looked at the demoness and jumped back in shock. "Kagome, what happened to you?"

Kagome laughed and smiled at the hanyou "Oh Inuyasha."

Inuyasha knew that tone of voice and braced himself.

"Sit boy. I had better not see you raise your sword to my mate again. Especially in the presence of my children." Kagome glared down at the hanyou and saw that he had cracked a few of the marble tiles. "I'm sorry Sesshoumaru. I didn't mean to make him break the floor."

"That's ok Kagome. As long as you don't destroy it with my body, feel free to do what you want." He turned to Inuyasha and sighed and shook his head. "Brother you must really learn to use your nose more often. It must be getting out of practice."

Inuyasha managed to get up and stood in front of his brother and glared at him and then put Tetsusaiga back in it's sheath. "I can smell just fine." Then he returned to his seat and started mumbling under his breath about brothers and mikos.

"Then you would know why she is different." Sesshoumaru took Kagome's arm and guided her to the head of the table and sat her down on his left side. Leaving an angry hanyou behind them. He looked around the table and found the monk with an Ookami youkai. Well that explained the scent of wolf that I smelled earlier. But wasn't he to mate the slayer? Then he turned to the slayer and took in her scent and then raised and eyebrow at his general. Then he noticed Juria sitting beside Inuyasha. At least they aren't mated. But the way Juria was holding onto his arm it wouldn't be long. His whole palace must have gone crazy. "I see a lot has happened since I left."

Kagome looked around the room in confusion. She still wasn't use to her new sense of smell. But she could smell the youkai beside Sango all over her friend. And Miroku smelled like the female beside him. Sesshoumaru had explained to her what that meant but that didn't explain how it came about. "You all have a lot of explaining to do guys."

Miroku turned to Kagome and smiled at her. "I would say that we are not the only ones. But I will go first. It all started when Inuyasha and Kitaro came up with an excuse to explain Lord Sesshoumaru's absence. I was sent to deliver the scrolls and the Northern Lord offered me some sake and one thing led to another and I mated Masumi. That's it for my story."

Sango sighed. "I guess it's my turn then. I met Kitaro when I dumped water on him and Inuyasha after finding out what they had done. Since then he decided that I was going to be his mate and asked to court me. I let him give me the inu courting mark and then one thing led to another and now we are mates."

Sesshoumaru turned to Inuyasha. "What excuse did you use for my absence?"

Inuyasha bowed his head and just shook it. "I sent the other lords a message that said that you and Kagome were mated because of your beast took her while she was in heat and you were off getting to know each other."

Kagome heard this and started laughing.

Sesshoumaru shook his head and turned to smile down at Kagome. If he only knew how true most of his statements were. Then he turned to Inuyasha. "That would explain the scrolls I read earlier. It seems brother that you have actually helped me. Now I don't have to write to the other lords telling them of my mating. So have you got any of the arrangements done for the ball?"

Kitaro turned to his lord. "We decided that to make everything seem real we had to plan for one so I informed the staff and they are preparing everything. Lady Kagome will have to go over the details and make sure that I haven't forgot anything and to change anything that she wants."

Sesshoumaru turned to look at Kagome again. "I leave the ball arrangements to you koi. Inuyasha after dinner I would like to talk with you outside." Sesshoumaru held back his laughter as Inuyasha moaned under his breath.

Inuyasha was glad when the servants brought the food out and distracted everyone. He would get a reprieve because of the meal. Too bad it couldn't last all night. But he looked to his side and found Juria glaring at him. He did have a reprieve. He promised Juria that he would go to the infirmary. "Sorry Sesshoumaru, but I have to go to the infirmary to see the healer."

"Don't worry Inuyasha I will personally make sure that you see the healer after our meeting." Sesshoumaru watched his brother groan again. It would be an interesting evening.

Sesshoumaru watched as everyone ate. And seeing that most of the people at the table were demons now or on the way to be so he could eat his raw meat. I wonder why the monk is not changing. Maybe the Ookami didn't know about the blood sharing. They were after all related to the Inu's so it should work on them also. He leaned down and whispered to her.

"You should talk to the Ookami about the blood sharing. That way her mate wouldn't have to get old and leave her."

Kagome looked over to Miroku and the wolf demoness beside him. "I will do that." Kagome turned back to Sesshoumaru and whispered to him. "Can you do something about your general. I would like a private talk with Sango."

Sesshoumaru nodded his head. "Kitaro after the meal we need to talk. Why don't you join me and Inuyasha outside?" Then he turned to the monk. "Since you were involved in everything these two did you are to come with us."

Sango saw Kitaro's nervous glance. "It's ok. I will be fine by myself and I promise to wait for you here."

Kitaro sighed in relief. He really didn't want her walking around yet. She was still very sore. "I will try to hurry back."

Sango nodded and smiled to him.

Miroku sighed at Lord Sesshoumaru's request. He should never have gotten involved in their scheme. He leaned over to his mate and took her hand. "I will try to hurry Masumi. If you get tired you can retire to the room and wait for me."

Masumi smiled at her mate. "I am an Ookami. We like the nights. I will be here when you return." Then she leaned over and whispered in his ear. "And when we get back to our chambers I will show you how much us wolves enjoy the night."

Miroku sat up straight and felt his blood rush to the region of his waist. It's a good thing everyone was still eating so that he would have time to cool off.

Kagome watched as Nichie came into the room to retrieve the children, "I will be up later to tuck them in."

Nichie bowed to her and then turned to lead the children out but stopped when she saw her sister sitting at Lord Sesshoumaru's table. With a look that said they would talk later she left the room.

Sesshoumaru watched the dragon youkai beside his brother for a little while and decided that his curiosity couldn't wait any longer.

"Why are you here Juria?" Juria bowed her head a little before she spoke.

"My mother told me to inform her when Inuyasha awoke. Well as soon as he got up he ran down here. I came after him to take him back to the infirmary. Well he was being difficult and wouldn't come with me then he forced me to stay at the table with him."

"Why was he sleeping in the infirmary?" Sesshoumaru was getting really confused.

"Don't you remember what I said about me punching him and knocking him out." Juria lowered her head more and waited for her lord to order her to be arrested. She waited and still and nothing happened. She raised her head enough and looked at her lord.

Sesshoumaru started laughing and I mean really laughing. He could picture his brother getting knocked out by the small dragon before him.

"Brother not only can my mate beat you to the ground, now I hear that Juria has done so also. You should be ashamed of yourself. She is the smallest dragon youkai that I have ever seen not to mention that she has the easiest disposition than any dragon I know. And she knocked you out. You are truly pitiful."

Inuyasha groaned as everyone started laughing at his expense. But what shocked him was seeing his brother laugh. He had never seen that before.

"It's not as bad as it seems. She forgot to tell you that Miroku had a sutra on me so that her mother could force some tea down my throat and I was unable to move. Then she came up and punched me." Juria glared at the hanyou.

"If you hadn't called my mother names I wouldn't have hit you."

"If your mother wasn't trying to choke me with that poison I wouldn't have called her names." Inuyasha glared at Juria. Now it's her turn to squirm again.

"Choking you with poison. How dare you. It was just a tea to wash out that potion that the miko had given you. She doctored you for two days without resting and then you had the nerve to call her a hag. Your nothing but an ungrateful dog." As soon as she said that she put a hand over her mouth and turned quickly to Lord Sesshoumaru. She bowed her head, "No offense to you my Lord." Juria turned her back on the hanyou. If she had to look at him again she didn't know if she could restrain herself from striking him again.

"Well I didn't ask her to help me." Inuyasha glared at Juria's back.

Juria turned back around and put her face into his, "Of course you didn't you were half dead and you passed out. Kitaro brought you to my mother so she could heal you. If she hadn't made that cleansing tea you would be dead. And have you even offered her a bit of thanks for saving your pitiful hide. She should have let you die."

"No one told me I was on my death bed. So you can't hold that against me. All she told me was that it was a potion that a miko had given me." Inuyasha yelled back at her.

"Like that matters. You should be grateful anyways. Didn't you ever learn to respect your elders?" Juria could feel her eyes fading to red. The hanyou had clipped her last nerve.

Inuyasha calmed down when he noticed her eyes, "A little help here Sesshoumaru."

Sesshoumaru had watched their fight. They would make an interesting couple now that the miko was gone and Inuyasha was free from her clutches.

"Do something that would shock her Inuyasha. That is the only way to bring her back."

"How in the hell am I supposed to shock her?" Inuyasha would have turned to glare at Sesshoumaru but didn't want to take his eyes off of Juria. He saw wings starting to come from her back and from the looks of things even if she was a small dragon her true form was nothing to laugh at.

Sesshoumaru just shook his head. If Inuyasha didn't do something soon his dining room would be destroyed.

"You are a inu. Are you going to let a female tell you what to do? Show her you are the Alpha."

What in the hell was his brother talking about. He didn't know what else to do so he did what Kagome had done to him once to get him to change back. He grabbed her before she could change anymore and pressed his mouth to hers. He felt her return the kiss and saw her wings disappearing.

Juria was shocked when he grabbed her and kissed her. She didn't expect the baka to do that. She felt her blood receding and her wings disappeared. When she was calm again she broke the kiss and stepped back and slapped the hanyou.

"I gave you no right to such privileges." She turned to face Lord Sesshoumaru and bowed her head to him. "I am sorry for getting angry in your presence My Lord and Lady. It will not happen again."

Sesshoumaru bowed his head to her slightly. "You know Juria you shouldn't say things you don't mean. If I know my brother he will drive you to it many times. However with children in the house and more on the way I can not allow you to get away with your anger if you should change into your youkai form in my castle you could destroy it. I will not put my mate and children in danger and with that said you are to report to Kitaro in the morning. He will help you learn to control your youkai better. You will attend these lessons until I am satisfied." He looked over and saw the smirk on his brother's face.

"Inuyasha you will be joining her in these lessons if you wish to stay at the palace." Sesshoumaru heard his brother growl at him and he returned the favor but much more loudly and with much more force.

"Like we are going to be here long enough for me to do that. Now that Kagome is back we can finally find the rest of the shards. I say we leave tomorrow." Inuyasha looked around the room and found Kagome, Sango and Miroku glaring at him. "What?"

Kagome turned so that she could clearly see Inuyasha, "Inuyasha, must you always think about yourself. I know you want the shards but since Naraku isn't around anymore we no longer have to rush to collect them. And the rest of us have lives now and we have to consider our mates feelings about us just taking off."

Sesshoumaru nodded his head and took a bite of his meal. He would have to tell his brother about the miko's death when they met later.

"We have two and a half weeks before the ball until then I agree with Inuyasha we should do our best to find the remaining shards. And after we return for the ball we will take three months to search before we must return so that Kagome can have our pups. Then we can continue the hunt for the shards. Does that meet with everyone's approval?"

Sango sat up when Sesshoumaru mentioned pups and Kagome.

"Your pregnant. That's great Kagome. How long before they are due? Do you know how many you are going to have?" Kagome blushed and lowered her head.

"I am having twins. And since I was human when I got pregnant almost six months." Kitaro saw how happy Sango was about Kagome being pregnant. He would pup her during her first heat.

"Lord Sesshoumaru, Sango was injured and can not travel for at least two days. And I would like to request to go with you on the quest."

Sesshoumaru looked over at the slayer. She didn't look injured but now that Kitaro mentioned it he could smell a slight scent of blood on her.

"I will allow this and we will wait for the slayer to heal." Sesshoumaru watched as the servants brought out tea and then stood up. "Us men will leave you ladies to enjoy your tea. We will return in a little while." With that said he turned and walked out of the dinning room by the garden door.

Kagome watched as Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Miroku and the general left.

"Sango what is your mates name?"

"His name is Kitaro, Kagome." She watched as he shut the door behind him smiling at her as he did so.

Kagome turned to the Ookami, "I am Kagome."

Masumi stood and bowed to her. "I am Masumi of the Northern Wolf Tribe."

"Do you know Kouga? He is a dear friend of mine." Kagome waited for the wolf to answer her.

"He is my cousin. I worked as a maid in his palace." Masumi sat back down but this time making sure she was closer to Kagome.

"Since when does Kouga have a palace? When he kidnapped me he took me to a cave. And why would you work as a maid in his palace if you were his cousin?" Kagome looked at the laughing Ookami.

Masumi saw the confusion on Kagome's face and started laughing more. "According to the wolf laws he couldn't take control of the Northern Lands until he mated. And since he is now mated to Ayame he gained control of the Northern Lands. Since he gained control all the wolves moved to the palace. Us wolves work together to make everything run smoothly. "So how do you like staying here?"

"It's ok but I get bored not doing anything all day long. At the Northern Palace I cleaned the rooms and helped Ayame with what ever she needed done and then I helped anyone else that needed me." Masumi took the teacup that Kagome offered her. Kagome nodded and then smiled.

"I can understand that." She turned to see Sango grimace in pain as she tried to stand. "Are you ok Sango?" Sango sighed and tried to get up but found she was too sore to do so.

"I am sorry Kagome but I can't move very much yet." Kagome looked worriedly at her friend.

"I heard Kitaro say that you were injured. What happened? Do you need anything?" Sango felt her face heat up and tried to hide it from Kagome.

"Kitaro's beast took over our mating during the night and had a grand time mating with me. Lets just say he was over zealous." Kagome nodded her head. Apparently Sesshoumaru could control his beast better than Kitaro.

"Have you seen the healer?" Sango blushed again and nodded her head.

"She gave me some salve to make it better. And it works great but I still have trouble walking. It's hard to move your legs when you feel like you are torn in two."

"Oh Sango you poor thing. I think I have some aspirin in my bag. I will bring you some later. Sesshoumaru told me that I had a sitting room around here somewhere. Why don't we go in there? I am sure it is bound to be more comfortable. Between Juria and Masumi we can get you there without to much bother. I would ask a male servant to carry you but Sesshoumaru told me about how mated males can't stand the scent of another male on their mate so we will do it ourselves." She stood up and then bent down to help Sango to her feet. Masumi came up and took her place once Sango was standing and Juria went to her other side. She called for a servant and asked to be shown to the sitting room.

They followed the servant and carried Sango to the sitting room. Luckily it was just down the hall from the dining room. They sat her down on a comfortable pillow that was against the wall so she could lean back without harming herself further.

"That should work for now." Kagome sat down beside Sango and motioned for Masumi and Juria to join them. Juria bowed to Kagome and blushed a little before standing back up.

"If it's all the same to you my lady, I am but a servant and should retire to the infirmary to wait for the prince to arrive." She turned to leave the room.

Kagome watched as she turned to leave, "Halt Juria, I am mistress of this house and I say whom I will talk to. Now sit down and take a cup of tea. I would like to get to know you and Masumi for we will surely spend much time together soon. And it is better to get to know one another before the traveling starts. Then we only have nights in the hot springs, or where ever we decide to bathe to talk and the guys get a bit paranoid if we are gone long. At least Inuyasha and Miroku do. I am not sure how Sesshoumaru and Kitaro will react. And no offense Masumi but Miroku usually is the first one to arrive at the spring and that is usually when we have no clothes on. He is very good at that."

"I know Miroku is a hentai, but Sango you didn't tell me he did things like that. Wait till I get my claws on him." Masumi couldn't believe that her mate treated women like that. Well she would put a stop to that.

"Calm down Masumi. I didn't see Miroku show any of his usual hentai moves during dinner. He actually made it through a meal awake. And too me that is amazing. Maybe he decided to turn over a new leaf for you. And by the way can I ask you something personal?" Kagome leaned back and waited for her answer.

Masumi looked at Kagome and with a somewhat leery smile on her face.

"You may ask my Lady but that does not mean I will answer." Kagome shook her head "Fair enough. When Inu's mate humans they give them the option to become demon. Can wolves do this also?"

Masumi sat back and looked at the Western Lady. "I have heard old tales of such happenings. But as far as I know I am the only Ookami in generations to take a human to mate. It would be interesting if it were true. Could you imagine Miroku with long black hair and his violet eyes and seeing fangs protruding from his mouth when he smiles. And the things he could do in bed with fangs and claws. That in itself would be worth it. Not that he isn't great now but with demon speed I am sure that he would never leave me wanting."

Masumi looked at the faces of the ladies around her. She could understand Juria's reddish face but not the slayers or Lady Kagome's. They were mated and shouldn't be so shy. She looked from Sango to Kagome.

"Now that you are mated to youkai and are yourselves turning into Inu's you two really need to get over being embarrassed over trivial things. Inu's and Ookami's are very sensual beings. As you two completely change you will come to realize this." She turned to look at Kagome.

Kagome laughed and nodded her head. "Until a couple of days ago I was all human myself and can attest to the fact that the blood sharing works." She looked over to Sango and was worried when she saw her pale complexion. "What's wrong Sango?"

"Wait till I get my hands on Kitaro. He never told me about the blood sharing. How can he make a decision like that for me? All he told me was that it would bind us and it would enable me to mark him. He is so going to get it when I get better." She turned to Kagome and smiled.

"I am glad that I will turn into a youkai. And with us both being inu-youkai's we will be even more like sisters. I guess it does have its advantages." She leaned over and hugged Kagome and then moaned when parts of her body protested.

Kagome heard the pained moan and gently hugged Sango back but before she turned her loose she let her miko powers heal her. When she heard Sango sigh in relief she turned her loose and looked out the window and saw darkness had spread over the lands.

"I have to tuck the children in and you Sango will stay here until Kitaro comes and gets you. As for you other ladies I will see you tomorrow. Lets meet in the garden after the morning meal and we can continue to get to know each other." She turned to stare at Juria. "I mean you to Juria. You are to come also but in the mean time can you please stay with Sango until her mate comes for her?" She saw the dragon nod to her then stood and left the room to check on the children.

She would have to talk to Sesshoumaru about bringing Juria on the quest with them. And she knew just the way. She laughed lightly and hurried to the children's room to tuck them into bed.
